This is honestly the last good sonic. \nI live by the Houston galleria where every sonic is awful and has terrible/ slow service \nBut the one in Galveston always comes through! \nFoods always good…

They tried to give my order to someone else but it was awesome just to eat sonic on the beach.

Addendum* I came back to Galveston on another business trip and decided to visit again. The first visit I received a shortage on my order and my change was not returned. The second visit I was shorted on what I requested in my beverage and insulted. I originally intended to order via the app, but I was not able to get the 1/2 price special on a beverage as well as another reward. I had a feeling that I should have just not ordered at all. Trish was pleasant over the intercom, but kept leaving out a particular item requested three times in my drink. Cora thought calling me out was intentionally necessary/ and I believe she thought it would anger/upset me. It did not. I picked up on Cora's demeanor from the time she opened the window that she shows an intentional lack of customer service, respect and prejudice to whom she deems as unworthy. Also, speak up when you're doing so, Don say it in a lower register. A prime example of someone throwing rocks and hiding their hands. The sad thing is that my energy has always been kind during any visit, so why do that? I could read "Cora" further, but she knows the real reason. Yes, I am a bigender woman, born male and I live comfortably as a woman. Some may pick up on that and others may not, but myself and God are all right with me! I am not ashamed nor am I hiding any truth. Be careful who you decide to be a bully towards you may not like the outcome of doing so. Regardless, the acts were noted and I will distance my appearance, dollars and classiness to avoid any further inconsideration. I have been enjoying Sonic again after a long hiatus. The food has been fairly consistent, fresh and hot. The cheddar peppers are a fave and the chicken sandwich was a good choice to add variety. I most recently tried the chili dogs again and they are still good. The staff have all had good vibes, no attitude and were efficient. Just note that your food is being prepared made to order soit will take some time if you order through drive thru. Thanks for the experience ~ Josie

I spent 30 minutes in line. I got to the window and spent another 20 minutes waiting because my order was wrong. Then after I repeated my order they still got it wrong. This seems to be normal.

Not a great meal. Usually this place is great. Hot fresh food fast. Not this visit. Fries were barely warm. Chicken fried steak sandwich was ok but barely edible. The onion rings I ordered were atrocious. Burned beyond belief. Whoever let this go out to a customer should be re-trained. Unless someone at Sonic reaches out to me to make this right, I doubt I will be back anytime soon

10.10.2020 8:30PM There was a long line in drive-thru and we pulled into a stall. After we figured out what we wanted, we pushed the button, the guy comes on the intercom and tells us it's drive-thru only, after the line was even longer. They should've had it posted on the stalls. Also, the guy taking my order was rude and didn't get my order right. The woman at the window was really nice though and corrected his complete fail!

Came to order food this morning at the stall. Pressed button and nobody ever answered so I pulled through window to order. Hispanic man took my order then complained it would take 10 minutes to warm up the coney island I wanted. Told him I would wait and he made it reluctantly. If you go here make sure to only order what they feel like making. Please don't inconvenience them to do their job.

We placed a mobile order and needed to make a change to it/order another drink. When we arrived we clicked the button and spoke with a female employee, told her we placed a mobile order and before we could finish our sentence she hung up on us. We clicked the button again and waited 10 minutes the same employee answered and said they weren’t taking orders anymore. They didn’t have any drink holders and our ice cream was melted. The employee’s rudeness was unacceptable. We went on 08/03/25 at 10:37pm.

We usually love sonic but this time I got all the kids their food told them to eat like normal and my son wasn’t a fan of his burger, after telling him to eat it again and again and he was being compliant I look over and realize there was WAY too much sauce. I asked for them to give us one with no sauce and they came back saying too much had been eaten and they would not. Was not the best service after spending over $50 and not being satisfied with how much sauce they put on. Here is a picture of all the sauce after I had used napkins to wipe a bunch of it off.

June 28 – 5:40 PM Seawall Blvd Sonic – Galveston Island Ordered two pretzels—no cheese came with them. Got a 44oz blue raspberry slush, but what I received was diluted blue raspberry water with some ice. Sadly, this lines up with my overall experience: fast food on Galveston Island is consistently awful, and this Sonic is no different.

This has been a shady nuisance for some time now . Today’s expierence is no difference. The came to 12.20 . The attendant came out before the food was ready and asked for the money. It was not quite ready looking for the change to accommodate her. Now the change should have been a total of $10. She returned but only eight dollars and walked away. I pushed the button to let the people know they refused to answer the call button so I had to actually call the number on the receipt here and speak to someone and have them Have them return the lady so I can get my money back. She did not explain why she did not give me the correct to change. She said oh that went into my tip and then as she keeps walking to serve other people, she gives us that cross side look. This is fire. This is far beyond acceptable for any business And if sonic was a reliable company, they would reply, but they won’t so there’s no need to call their business center and explain to them what happened it’s probably owned by a local man that doesn’t care Others so long as he makes that book of the tourist . Now that’s just assuming I can’t be certain but be aware. This is not the only time that I’ve had issues with this sonic in particular so just beware.
