Opinions de Humboldt Bar & Grill Garberville
Trying to find a good restaurant these days can be challenging but we certainly lucked out while staying in Garberville. We ordered takeout & were extremely pleased with everything! Hubby got a house salad which was beyond generous with lots of variety. We ordered the hand breaded mushroom caps which were exceptional with the ranch dressing. We also ordered the super nachos with carna Asada and they did not disappoint! Fresh, homemade chips with fresh guacamole and salsa and sour cream topped the refried beans (homemade with lard I could definitely taste, mmm, mmm!) cheese, and the meat was tender and flavorful. The staff was excellent, very personable and sweet. Good prices will guarantee a return visit next time we're in the area. Recommend!👍👍👍
The food was absolutely delicious with large portions for the price and the server was very nice too
Ordered the chicken sandwich..l loved it.. the garlic and and chicken tastes really good.. felt little greasy... little grease would have been awesome...
I always enjoy Humboldt Bar and grill. Yummy shrimp cocktail and nachos. Nice service.

5 out of 5 all the way. Being from Texas it's hard to find a restaurant that makes a good Pazoloe. This one was amazing. Best one I've had in a long long long time. Thank you for that beautiful big bowl! The onion rings where HUGE, FRESH and yummy! The ranch dip was delicious.
We were passing through from the Bay Area. We were starving and stopped at the first restaurant we saw. We lucked out! The owners are the sweetest people. It was a clean restaurant. The service was great. We had the logger burger. Holy cow it was delicious!! The burger was cooked to perfection and thousand island was a great touch. The French fries were crispy and so damn good. We will absolutely be back when we pass through again.
Great burgers and fries, big portion sizes, good service, clean restrooms. Can't ask for more.
Great selection of pub grub and Mexican cuisine on the menu with half a dozen taps pouring different styles to match. The interior decor is modern and clean with a few family touches, great natural light, and a huge big screen playing football. Almost feels like home.
Had a wonderful experience here. Food was freshly made and delicious. Some of the best fried mushrooms and zucchini I've had in a long time. Margaritas were OK special and they were definitely worth highlighting. Service was attentive and kind too. Will be happily going back!
Very nice little restaurant. Good prices and good selection. Jalapeno burger was delicious. Fries awesome

This is my favorite place in town to eat. They have good food that's consistent and flavorful. The restaurant is clean and staff is always friendly and attentive. I love the carnitas and Chile rellenos. This is definitely a comfort food kind of place.

The food is pretty good here, normally get the super burritos but have also had the pistol burger which was pretty tasty. The deep fried zucchini and mushrooms are a great app. I did order the nachos once and then realized I could have made those at home. We do enjoy their Chile Verde and Chile Colorado.
Super burrito al pastor was pretty solid as far as I'm concerned. I visited on a busy Saturday night and there was only one waitress who was very overworked, so I gotta hand it to her for being so on top of things despite it.
The street tacos were only $3.50 each. It was the only place open after 8:30 pm.

Food was really good-nice portion. Waitress was also bartender - was not very friendly but appeared talkative, respectful even cheerful to locals. Took a long time to get our food. Gave us the wrong order which we did not complain. We ordered "to go" and we were given silverware and plates. Beer was way overpriced. Ultimately, food was great but service was lacking.

Not great. Your choice are limited in town and this isn't the worst. Plenty of seating since there's rarely people eating here.
Had the chimichanga. Deep frier grease tasted old. There was two different sources of music which made the atmosphere hectic. Service was poor to average. Waitress sat around, only checked in once and seemed disinterested.
Like many other folks have said, the atmosphere is very unwelcoming. Server never came by during our entire meal. We were charged more than what was listed in the menu, but they adjusted it back when we showed them the menu. They said they knew of the discrepancy (but charged more anyway hoping we wouldn’t notice). It’s the only Mexican restaurant I’ve been to that doesn’t serve chips as an appetizer. Maybe this is customary in California? I don’t know. I ordered fajitas that were flavorless, and didn’t come with shredded cheese or tomatoes. That was a bummer. We were only given two shells. I paid extra to have two more so my daughter and I could split it (since there were no kids meals for children between 6-12). The fajitas were already just shy of $20.

Overall my experience was underwhelming. I had the tri tip french dip with fries, very small portions of meat and the grilled onions and peppers were almost non existent in fact I didn't actually see a single pepper. French fries were crispy enough but season all went out in the early 80's along with cheap frozen french fries. Service was decent but not outstanding.

Service was not good. Waitress disappeared after husband asked for a water refill. Made sure I paid because he was very upset. Oil used to cook the food was definitely old. I could smell it on the tortillas and onion rings. The shrimp dish was okay. Didn't have many food options in the area.

Before I came here, I read somewhere that the taco salad was $22 and of poor quality. Wow they weren’t joking. They barely put anything in the bowl and it was flavorless. Don’t waste your money here
