12-5-2025 I was on my way to Kaiser Garden Grove for blood work. I decided to stop by Steelcraft for a late lunch. I decided on Barrio - Filipino/Korean food. Lots of variety to choose from. Ordered a pork, chicken, shrimp skewers with rice, lumping which came with sweet&sour sauce and a calamansi slushie. My food was served quickly and was delicious. They are one of the restaurants at Steelcraft. Lots of bench seating. I highly recommend this place. If you want quick & yummie food.
Greatest find! We were on a trip to Disneyland when we were looking for something different for lunch. Looked up Tea Otter and found that Barrio was part of the same StreelCraft Garden Grove. We are so happy that we tried it. One of the best Filipino foods I have had in awhile. We loved it so much that we have now been four times in the past few months on each of our Anaheim trips. The chicken lumpia is delicious and since I don’t eat pork, they are perfect for me! They come seven to an order and are mini. I tend to not share mine. 😂 I have tried the chicken and shrimp skewers and love them. Add an egg! Also (not photographed) I tried their garlic sauce this last time and will definitely get it again. Delicious!
*This place is kind of hard to find* I was leaving the gym in Cerritos and typed in healthy food spots and this place popped up. If you’ve read my other post you know I’m all about trying a new random place I see on the internet. 😂 The meals looked a little on the smaller side so I grabbed two and some Lumpia. I am glad I grabbed both! Many both of these meals were so full of flavor. I could not stop eating them. I planned to take one of them home but I did not I ate both sitting right in front of this restaurant. The set up of this spot is so cool there are several other restaurants inside this area. It’s such. Cool set up great for parties and celebrations. Next time I’m in the area I’ll be sure to stop by and check out a few of the other spots.
Great mix of Filipino and other Asian foods! Would definitely recommend! I ordered the chicken and pork skewers and had them take it off the skewers. I also added a fried egg (sunny side up).
Tasty option at Steelcraft in Garden Grove. Delicious skewers! Loved the lumpia. Definitely a do-over!

Had the pork and atchara, added an egg, with a side of lumpia, awesome!!
I’m hooked! The fatty pork belly is amazing! I found out that on Mondays they are closed, because after eating there on Saturday I wanted more! Alas, I finally found parking and made it to their place with visions of fatty pork belly dancing in my own belly…closed! Lol. So I went back tonight and they were open! Ordered my food and rushed home to eat! Lol Ono as we say in Hawaii!
Appreciate the open space for our dog to relax and toddler to run around. We ordered liempo rice plate and a kids plate with chicken skewer, along with a side of lumpia. All the food was tasty and had substantial portions. The kids meal is a fantastic deal at just under $6. Pleasantly surprised by the skewer but the lumpia felt standard, nothing exceptional.

Barrio Korean-Filipino BBQ offers a unique dining experience that blends the best of both worlds. I recently tried their 2 BBQ pork skewers with steamed rice and Filipino atchara, paired with a refreshing calamansi slushy. The BBQ pork skewers were bursting with flavor, though a bit tougher than expected. However, the rich marinade more than made up for it. The steamed rice was a perfect complement, and the Filipino atchara added a tangy, crunchy element to the meal. The calamansi slushy was a delightful treat, offering a sweet and sour taste that perfectly balanced the savory flavors of the main course. The service was exceptional, with friendly and attentive staff. The overall experience at Barrio Korean-Filipino BBQ was superb, making it a great spot for those looking to try something new and delicious.
The food here is good, we were disappointed they ran out of salad on a Friday night and it was not even busy ... so it was just the protein and rice. The flavor was good, it's a good portion for just one person.
Barrio- really the only issue I had with the chicken plate ($10) was the "garlic fried rice". I know that Filipinos really don't cook their fried rice with quinoa. I mean, I know it's a trendy item and it contains protein, but I didn't mesh well. Please, please, please add a real garlic fried rice to your menu aids to your plates!! That being said, the chicken skewers were delish and super moist. I like the hint of sweetness on the bbq chicken. As for the relish, I feel like it needs two scoops vs. just one. My opinion though. Cheers!

We had to go back again the same night to make sure we liked it😂. Good Korean/Filipino BBQ. Awesome service.
Good food, great atmosphere. Located inside Steel Craft!
Steelcraft is a cool place to hang out with friends because you can pick what you want to eat out of the selection of resstaurants they have and there's tons of seating. I got the pork bulgogi, a side of lumpia, and a strawberry lemonade slushy. Pork Bulgogi Bowl with Rice - The pork was marinated well and had a nice kick of spice to them 9/10 Lumpia - Delicious and crispy! 8/10 Strawberry Lemonade Slushy - The drink was a bit too sour for a sweetened lemonade 6/10

Visiting California, we decided to stop by Barrio because of the Korean and Filipino Food concept. The location reminds me of Container Park in Vegas and The food cart pod in Oregon. Service was good. She was nice and friendly. I ordered the Pork Liempo. The meat was tender but the flavor lacked. Sigh... Maybe it was an off day. The meat needed salt.
Lumpia is crispy but not very flavorful (not worth the splurge) and is below average. Definitely had better lumpia in several other places. Bulgogi had a good marinade but was a little chewy. Honestly, it's a little overpriced for what you get. The platter I got had 50% white rice, the meat serving was light, and the whole thing came close to $20! If you pay $20 for a meal, you would expect to be full afterwards, but I left feeling like I could eat more. The staff was very nice but the food is a bit overrated.

The food was room temperature. Not fresh. It like they cooked ahead. Worried if my pork is cooked completely. Can not tell with all sauce put on it. April 29, 2025 I gave this place another shot. Order 2 side eggs and 1 side rice. Plus tax it cam to a little over $7. Which did not sound right. Because an sunny side egg $1.25 and side of rice is another $1.25. I questioned it and assist the cashier to add it again. It came to $4.08 which is right. I wonder what she press extra unseen on screen for it to jump that high and back right price after me doing the math for her. Be careful when you go there.
Couldn't tell you about the food Large catering order was just picked up. Another man waiting for his food on a bench (single order, not catering). Yet when I walk up the lady tells me they "won't be open for another 20-30 minutes, thanks " abruptly closes window. it was 11:16 am at this time Guess it may be better to visit this place once they've had a while to open. Happy Monday Update. We ordered 30 min later. Changed to 3 stars because the food was pretty good.

I waited for over 50 minutes because they mixed up my order, twice. In the end, all for Liempo that was mostly burnt. The atmosphere is loud and chaotic. Overall, I had a really disappointing experience here.
DO NOT EAT HERE! I used to come here at last twice a week but I have been consistently served completely raw chicken and no longer feel safe eating here at all. Once is mistake, but this is now the third time and a pattern. Called to let staff know to hopefully make sure no one else gets sick and they didn't to care at all. They are going to make someone really, really sick. This place used to be so good for the price, but I guess the reason it's cheap is because of them skimping on food safety. Edit: Group now has food poisoning, and reading other reviews the raw food is a really common thing! I feel dumb for eating here!

Ordered 4 Pork Skewers and an extra tofu. order was short of 1 pork skewer. Pls. check the order before giving it to your customer. Also skewer was small for the price. Will not order here again.
I was excited to eat here and am a returning customer but was disappointed when I was met with rude customer service and overpricing. I attempted to order the pork belly plate while my toddler played with the connect four nearby. The girl at the register did not greet me, did not smile, and tried to charge me an extra $1.25 to make my side half salad/half rice; meanwhile, the menu stated $1.25 is a charge for an “extra scoop of rice.” When I tried to reason with this rude cashier with flat affect, she insisted the half rice/half salad would be an extra $1.25. I walked away after I realized there was no reasoning with her but came back to speak with the manager and she told me she was by herself and no one was available. I told her I would find this business online and review it. So here is my review, I did not try the food here this time but with the kind of customer service I was provided, I would never come back. When you hire customer facing staff, be sure they are friendly so that your customers return, otherwise you will lose business in this already difficult economy. Thanks for reading.
Wow… just speechless I hate to leave such a negative review since I hear the food is good but I’ve never had such a terrible restaurant interaction. We were in from Chicago visiting our son, daughter-in-law, and grandson and they were excited to take us to a fun outdoor venue. I waited at least five minutes at the window while the young woman was on the phone, without her ever acknowledging me. While paying, I said (kindly, I thought) “I would normally tip but you kept me waiting such a long time”. She responded that she’d been on the phone with her boss and I didn’t need to tell her that and I just said that I thought she should know. I assumed the interaction was over and done but when I picked up the food she leaned out the window saying “I hope you learn some manners because you’re a very rude woman”. When I objected, she then told me I should never come back and slammed down the takeout window. I asked at the other window to speak to the manager and she called “Stan” (or pretended to call him?) to tell him a “rude lady wanted to tell him how rude she was”. She wouldn’t let me talk to him so…. Obviously, threw out the food because, given that interaction, who knows? Seems like some basic customer service etiquette needs to be taught. Acknowledge the customer and if you make them wait, an apology goes a long way. I’m also guessing her boss wouldn’t have wanted her to ignore a customer even if she was on the phone with him. Hope she was just having a very bad day and that this aggressive behavior isn’t her norm.
