Love this bar! The bartenders are so sweet and super friendly. Been coming here fo awhile and it's always a good time. Plan family birthdays, anniversaries and just good time get together.

Delicious food and mixed drinks were amazing! Great atmosphere! Bartender Efrain was very kind and very attentive! My martini and husbands old fashion were very tasteful! My husband and I will defiantly be returning very soon! Thank you!!!

Louie's on Main has been a favorite for years! The food is amazing, drinks are decently priced but they don't skimp on the good stuff, good selection of beer, the service is excellent... let's not forget a well designed place with good atmosphere. It's one of my hometown favorites!

The fish tacos are literally the best and their beer selection should make anyone happy. You can also taste a couple before you get them so you don't have to waste your time with one you don't. The service is good and the bartenders know what they're doing.

This is by far and away one of the best establishments I have ever been to. Garden Grove's old Main Street has a number of great places to visit but this one is a major anchor for the area. The staff are highly professional and provide excellent customer service to a very good mix of clients. It's clear that a great deal of attention has been paid to the cocktail and dinner menu. If that wasn't enough they have more than 25 different beers on tap so what ever kind of drink suits you, you are sure to find it here. A great place!

I’m just went for my second time and my experience was just as good as the first. Staff was friendly and helpful. The boneless wings were surprisingly very crunchy and good. I washed it down first a local beer or tab. I like the wide selection of beers. I brought friends along and they also enjoyed their meals. We would definitely return again. Great little spot for a cozy hang out. We went across the street to karaoke after. Great little area.

Traditionally, we pop in for a couple beers every time we're in town for a concert. 30 beers on tap, always rotate. Service is great! Hubby and I ate there for the first time yesterday & the fish tacos were the best we've ever had. Definitely going to stop for more then just beers next time.

One of my favourite go to places!!!! The best food, anything you order will be amazing. 30 craft beers on tap. If you like sweet drinks I highly recommend the strawberry lime cider. There’s a cool car show I front of the restaurant on Friday nights, we always have a blast. It’s very clean, the service is great amazing staff and my favourites are the chicken wings, shrimp and the sombrero burger! They’re such a great part of the community!

We went there for 1 drink before the concert at the Garden Amphitheater. We ordered a blue Seltzer, and it was so good we ended up staying for 4 rounds. So we got a pastrami sandwich, which was also incredible. Great place, excellent food and drinks! Highly recommended it.

The price and quality of the food is perfect here. They make their sauces in house and I'm not sure if it's just the cook that was in the back when I came, but that was the best coconut shrimp I've ever had in my life. 10/10 recommend.

My salad came with chicken but not sure if there is a no protein option for this salad. Plenty of seating inside and outside. There is also plenty of seating at the large bar counter. Service was great! Friendly staff from the server to the bartender. My party stayed until closing (9pm) and didn't feel pressured leaving. The staff worked around us while cleaning up. Restrooms were very clean during my visit. Recommend to visit even if you are out of town.

Although I walked past the door twice, this spot delivered on everything. Super friendly and knowledge bartender (thanks Aaron). About 30 beer on draft and a great selection of whiskeys and hard alcohol. The food was excellent and portions were generous. I highly recommend Louie's.

Now that they have added patio dining in front of the restaurant, it is even more welcoming and relaxed, especially on a day with beautiful weather like when I was there. I had the coconut shrimp and fish tacos. Loved them both! The fish tacos are larger than what other places would make.

Service was quick as I was immediately seated at a booth. I ordered garlic fries as my appetizer and a chicken cob salad. The fries were crispy and seasoned well with shredded cheese on top and enough for two or three people. The salad came with generous amounts of grilled chicken, croutons, slice hard boil eggs, an avocado and tomatoes. I chose the citrus vinaigrette as my dressing and the salad alone was enough to keep me full throughout the day.

They have a large selection of alcohol and the people there are really nice. I even left the bar and walked around but suddenly had to use the bathroom. They were kind enough to let me use the bathroom and were very friendly. My friend also really enjoyed his burger and drink.

It’s a friendly place. Now for the food! I am a burger connoisseur! Louie’s has an excellent cheeseburger! The taste and the way it looks is simply perfect! What is a burger without fries? Louie’s has great fries. It would be worth it to go for the fries alone; but coupled with their excellent burger, you’ve got a sublime meal. Today (2/10-22) a you g man named Aaron served it. He was so amiable. His service is impeccable; and his smiles made me feel like I’m know at Louie’s too. Go to Louie’s, you’ll not be disappointed as the drinks are great their too!

Good evening everyone, I came down to Louie on Main st located in Garden Grove, trying out the Deans burger. It’s a really huge burger and messy and you what that means... excellent and tasty, love the sauce, the grilled onions are amazing along with the bacon and avocado and egg. Bacon, Avocado, Grilled Onion, Lettuce, Tomato, Cheddar Cheese, 1000 Island dressing and a Fried Egg on a Toasted Brioche Bun. Love the shoe string fries

Great food! Friendly staff too. The servers are all great and are on it even when slammed. Really exceptional quality and consistency you wouldn't expect to find at a bar. Kudos to the guys cooking. Happy to give them regular business because I can't stay away from their damn BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger!

We love this place. It's very close to our work and the community theater so we come here for dinner. The specials are great period on Thursdays it's Taco Thursday and the fish tacos are delicious. Plus you get a free Mexican beer. It's a little bit small for a restaurant, but it's good to meet friends and hang out.

This review overdue, my girl and I found this place a few months ago when outside dining first reopened, I should mention I'm a connoisseur of a good Cuban sandwich, when I noticed they had one on the menu I had to go try it. No problem saying it's probably the best I've had, and that includes from strictly cuban places I've tried. Cuban with the feta Fry's ....... Delish! I will say that to go is not quite as good as eating it fresh there, which is to be expected. That still hasn't stopped me from ordering to go about once a week minimum. Also great cocktails, super friendlys helpful staff. All around good choice.

Very limited menu, food was OK, good sized portions. They have outside dining, each us where we sat, ll did not enter the actual restaurant so can't comment on it. We were the on a Friday night & it was Old Car Night on Main Street so it was very crowed. It was neat to be able to check out the cars & they had a old time Big Band playing in the street & couples were dancing to and like the oldies. It's a fun atmosphere, I wouldgo again & recommend especially on Fridays!

12/2025 Having spent the past decade in Garden Grove, I’ve always known Louis on Main as the local watering hole. The OGs know it’s been a classic staple on Main Street for far longer than that. At first glance, it might come off as your average dive bar—but give it a little time, gather with your crew, and you’ll quickly realize it’s much more than that. Whether you’re inside enjoying the cozy, laid-back atmosphere or outside people-watching during the weekly Friday night classic car show, Louis captures that old-town Garden Grove charm—even in 2025. It feels like stepping back a few decades, but in a way that’s classic rather than outdated. Prices are still refreshingly reasonable for both food and drinks. I personally love their rotating sour beers on tap—the selection changes often. I once came back within the same week and found the previous sour had tapped out and been replaced with a blueberry pomegranate sour, and both were excellent. As for food, the carne asada burrito is a standout: filling, consistently good, and really hits the spot every time. Service has always been solid. The staff is friendly, attentive, and welcoming, and they genuinely don’t mind if you sit and linger for a while. They regularly check in without being intrusive, which makes it an easy place to settle in for the evening. And if you didn’t know—every Friday night Main Street shuts down for a free classic car show, and Louis is the spot to be. Whether you’re grabbing a front-row seat, pregaming, or stopping by afterward, it’s perfectly positioned. All in all, Louis on Main is a dependable, community-driven bar with history, fair prices, and timeless charm. Not flashy—but that’s exactly the point. 2023 This is truly the local watering hole of downtown Garden Grove. Prices are for the most part fair, but before warned that it does get fairly crowded especially on Friday afternoon and evenings when they have the weekly classic car show. I recommend the whiskey sour. Don’t forget to look around you at the wall for the special drafts.

Service was great. Lots of seating indoor and outdoor. Food was good for the most part. Ordered wing appetizer. Wings were tiny. I wouldn't order again based on the size of the wings. The burger I had was really good. Nice and Juicy with a potato bun. My son ordered the ribeye steak sandwich. It was kind of plain. We added cheese and it taste like they top it off with A1 sauce. It was good but not worth the MP paid at the time which was 29 dollars. Kind of a rip. The burger was a much better at a better price. All that said...it's a good spot to pre game before a show at the Garden Amp. The location and service is why the 4 stars.

We have had Cobb salad and Cubano sandwich and food was good! The only thing that could improve is the service. The bar tender kept hitting on one person at the bar and we couldn’t get our order in 😅 we hated to interrupt but we were hungry. Overall great quick food and beer spot!

The potatoes with the carnitas are truly amazing. Drinks are very well made when it comes to a cocktail and the selection of beer is fun, overall a good stop for a drink and quick bite. Bartenders and servers are super easy going and can be flagged down easily if needed.
