Saigon 9 Vietnamese Restaurant

We've had pho in a lot of nice big cities bit this really hit the mark. This was the first time that I've wanted to eat pho more traditionally, without adding all the sauces into the broth and instead dipping the meat as I liked. The broth was so flavorful and savory it didn't need a thing. The service was great. My partner ordered a Corona beer and they brought salt and lime on the side. A small touch but it didn't go unnoticed. If we are in the area again we'll definitely be back.

This is the best pho I've had, ever. We're from out of town so it's a bummer we won't get to eat here more often. Service was fast, the waitress was nice and on top of things and the prices were very inexpensive.

I LOVE this place!! The food was great and our server was fantastic, there was a private event happening so the music was really loud and the party lights were going but I thought it was great! Overall a really great time!

Very family friendly! The brought the kids water out with kids and I didn't when ask for it. I ate some yummy Pho with my 2 year old and when I asked for a small bowl to share with them they also brought out for scissors to cut the noodles. Wonderful food, clean and great service. Ample parking in the mall. Worth the 6 minutes to drive from Disneyland for some top notch Pho.

Best Vietnamese food in all of Orange County. I've become a regular here and the staff have gotten to know my order (shrimp fried rice with a thai tea) without even having to ask. Adam is the best, fun and friendly, and Emaly the new addition adds a spark of excitement that really gives the restraunt a welcoming atmosphere that makes me feel very appreciated. Im glad they decided to open on Tuesdays now so I can go every day of the week. Saturdays have a live music event, so bring some friends for good food and a show. Cant recommend Saigon 9 enough and have absolutely the best time here, trust me, you will too.

We had an amazing experience here. My wife, who was born in Vietnam, said the Pho was the best she ever had outside Vietnam. I tried it as well and it was super fresh and rich in taste, you could notice easily they used very high-quality ingredients and showed real pride in their craft. The manager is super nice and plans to update some of the interior as well and add some new dishes to the menu while keeping the current favorites, so I'd say watch out how this place will develop and keep it on your radar. A must try in the Garden Grove/Anaheim area for authentic Vietnamese food. I can't recommend this restaurant highly enough!

If you don't know where this place is, you could easily drive by and miss it. Saigon #9 is located in a strip mall less than a mile south of Disneyland on Harbor and Palm just north of Garden Grove Blvd. The staff is friendly and the service is quick. The food is very good and the prices are cheap. I recommend the egg rolls as they were some of the best that I have ever eaten. If you are in the area, then stop in for lunch. You really can't go wrong here with the good quality food and service.

My wife was craving some pho after we were staying at great Wolf Lodge and this place is right around the corner. It's a great mom and pop shop with delicious food, great service and awesome people. We ordered the small portions of pho, it was fresh delicious and we still have too much left over. This is going to be our go-to spot for now on whenever we're at great Wolf Lodge.

Pho was not bad but wish they had blanched the noodles in the broth. Noodles were very bland. The guy was nice.

The restaurant set up that night was unique, as the right side of the restaurant served regular guests but was separated almost straight down the middle from the left side where a live band and singers were performing up on small stage in front. This venue seems suitable for live performances even though it's really a restaurant inside a strip mall. We had a limited menu of 4 items to pick from while dining as guests of the band. The seafood hũ tiếu ấp chảo contained 2 shrimps, a few squid and imitation crab, garnished in bok choy, broccoli and carrots. More seafood would've enhanced the dish.

The bobun was very good but the staff not so good (they made mistakes on the order and forget our shakes). You have to pay 50 cents more if you pay by card...

Server Mary was outstanding! She was doing it all, everything but the cooking, greeting, servings, bussing. She was very helpful at taking our order. The food, however, was below expectation. The Pad Thai had no flavor and was dry as it had to be smothered with side sauces. Filet mignon was a bit overcooked and overall food was lacking taste. I'd like to thing that Pho is better. We'll try that next. We loved the service!!!

Ordered two teas and didn't get them. When I asked if they charged me for them, they said no. When I got my receipt, I saw they charged me. Very dishonest people. The bathroom is disgusting as well. It's slow enough to have at least one employee keeping it clean.

my experience with this place was not too positive. when my party and i arrived, we were the only customers and no other people came in during our one hour lunch dine in. the food was a bit pricey for the amount you receive (though it tasted authentic and delicious). the owner was staring/watching us for almost the entire time, giving our party an uncomfortable feel. although the food was good, there are plenty of other places that do better. overall, 2/5 stars.

This place used to be really good even a year ago . As of recently it has lagged a bit in the food and service . On days they have an event going on they prioritize the people on the other side of the restaurant and it gets too loud to have a conversation. The portions for the price used to be reasonable and now it's like you have to get a bowl of pho and a little something extra on the side because they put very little if any meat at all and one still ends up hungry . You'll get like 3 pieces in the steak pho alone . We've gone twice and my partner has waited 20 minutes for a rare steak and to get it medium well . Recently we went and waited yet again about 20-30 minutes before being told they were out of steak . Food is okay , again not as good as it used to be . Food and service .

This is one of the worst viet restaurants I’ve ever eaten at. I think they’re a bit confused about what they want this place to be. The pho had no flavor and all the other dishes we got were not good (spring rolls, summer rolls etc). The service was bad and we had to literally wave them down to even take our order. There’s tacky flashing lights everywhere and then the band started playing so loud you can’t even hold a conversation. The good reviews here are such a lie. Goto little Saigon and randomly pick any place and it will be 1,000,000x better. Wow, heed my warning.

A filthy restaurant with terrible service. My family got there in the morning and wasn't even greeted by any staff. We had to seat ourselves. The tables around us weren't even cleaned from the night prior. They were completely littered with empty alcohol containers and dirty plates with leftovers from the night prior. There were flies in building. The waiter that came to us was extremely rude and cold. No greetings, no courtesy, no response to politeness. He just did the bare minimum to take our order and collect payment. I asked for a drink and he just said "we're out of it." He didn't even say sorry or offer to get me something else. The food was gross. One of us got sick shortly after eating here. This seems like one of those failed restaurants that converts into a primarily alcohol establishment, like you see on kitchen nightmares. Ignore the good reviews. They're probably from family and friends. Stay away from this disgusting place.

Mediocre food come with a stomachache. The noodle was undercooked, wonton was hard, pork was terrible, while the steak sizzling dish was the thinnest possible cut and over-cooked. Poor quality for the price they charged. Inflation or not, $16 for a bowl of sad noodle is very expensive. Whoever gave this place a 3 or more are their family and friends. Don’t believe the positive reviews.

I walked in with my family. We were asked if we'd like to sit on the restaurant side or the pitch black entertainment side of the establishment. We chose the obvious. No music was playing, just 2 TVs, blaring volume from different news outlets. You just here Trump droning on one end of the restaurant and local news anchors from the opposite wall. Really setting the atmosphere for what was to come next. We ordered 2 bowls of pho (steak with beefball for mine) and an order of eggrolls as a starter. I must say the service was fast, a little too fast... Within less than a minute, he returns with the eggrolls. Like there's no way they could've cooked them that fast, which turned out to be true. The food was cold, like it had just been sitting out. Normally I'd have to wait a few minutes to allow the eggrolls to cool down to eat, not these. When he returned with the pho toppings (with lemons, ick) I told him they were not fresh and not even hot on the outside or inside. I realized that he wasn't just our server, but also the cook. After about 5 minutes, he returns with more eggrolls and our bowls of pho. The steak in mine was firm, chewy, and overcooked, yet the broth was lukewarm. How is that even possible? The eggrolls re returned with still weren't hot, but maybe microwaved? because they tasted like they had been frozen. The inside didn't taste fresh at all. There were 2 leftover by the end of our meal, which never happens. I quickly realize why he couldn't be bothered to actually make us fresh food, because he and the other worker, who were sat directly behind us, were just chatting it up with each other for our entire meal, without checking on us once. Worst pho meal, worst service, and most unsettling atmosphere I've experienced at a Vietnamese resturaunt. Tourists beware! Find a better place to spend your money. Can we make half-stars a thing?

Tried to order pork spring rolls didn’t know they weren’t called that but just pork rolls? So they “misunderstood “ me ordering pork spring rolls and gave me shrimp instead. Called back and mentioned I wanted the pork spring rolls. Came back to get my order they again reminded me if I say spring rolls I would get the shrimp , okay cool but on your menu there’s a pork roll so you why think I want shrimp? Anyway got my food and it wasn’t the pork rolls I wanted it was a makeshift pork spring roll with the shrimp roll sauce tasted horrible together I felt like it was out of spite not going back again.

The food was okay. The service took a while for us to place our order because the worker cared more for the party table of 8 people than our 4 people table (this was all the people for the night). I won't be returning as it is not worth the money and the service you get.
