Opinions de Uptown Burrito Geneva
Best Mexican food in town, legit! Steak Burrito is by far IMO the best item on the menu. Flautas are off the chain, Barbacoa & Al Pastor tacos are delicious, guacamole is fresh (You can tell as soon as you taste it ) & their deserts (Churros & Tres Leche) are a must to go. You can tell they take pride in what they do! Highly recommend this spot, AS WELL AS, Grand Central right up the street (Biscayne Blvd & 79th St)....same owners with great dishes. You won't be disappointed!
Outside seating only. Polite and engaging employees. Fantastic food but challenging parking so it may be worth ordering ahead.
So delicious. I work late so it’s super clutch to be able to order quality Mexican food late at night. Horchata and Jamaica beverages are an excellent pairing.
We were driving around and decided to stop by this place. Great decision, friendly staff very good food, the place was clean ; the elope is different but really good. The prices are fair; definitely will come back to this place. They have Mexican sodas and the burritos are a must have
This is a dope spot, first time here. It’s an out door venue and parking is limited. But the food is very good. Definitely will be coming back.
Self proclaimed birria expert so I need to try all the birria in town. So I had to try the ones here at uptown 66. This is a perfect example of a beautiful quesobirria. Crispy on the outside with the accompanying consommé was a pleasure to eat. Had the tacos, elote, salad and shrimp but I’ll just say the birria always has a special place in my heart.
Tried all their tacos except the Pollo. Our favorite was the Birria Tacos! Consommé paired beautifully w the cheese coated tacos. The hongos tacos - mushroom w caramelised pears - were an acquired taste and not to our liking, but to each his own. Churros were lovely - airy, light and perfectly fried. Appreciated that the dark choc dip wasn’t cloyingly sweet. Overall, a delightful meal.
Me and my wife are from Phoenix and are used to authentic Mexican food best food we have had in a long time will be recommending
Really good I got the chicken nachos Birria tacos Chicken burrito And the elote (corn) Nachos is a must have. I finished it in a second. Loved the birria tacos. Savory with crumbly meat soft and tender Chicken burrito nice and stuffed Some of the best Mexican food I’ve had!! Elote corn wasn’t that good though. They didn’t give it to me on the cob, only in a bowl. Everything was good. But the corn. I would get it again but ask for the cob
The atmosphere is absolutely fantastic, with a lively and welcoming vibe that makes you feel right at home. The food is delicious and thoughtfully prepared, offering a delightful experience for your taste buds. However, be prepared to take your time, as the pace here is leisurely, allowing you to fully savor each moment and every bite.
Found this little spot when we were craving tacos. Saw the great reviews and decided to check it out for myself. Boy do I not regret it. Such delicious food! Perfect portion sizes. The service was great and very attentive. We ordered birria, flautas, baracoa, mushroom and flan. Delicious delicious delicious. Check it out for yourself! Parking situation is a little hard to find but worth the walk a block or two!
This place is freaking legit. Came in from out of town starving and walked over from our hotel - we weren't expecting much, just wanted something fast. Food was amazing, people were amazing, service was fast. Everything fresh, warm, and good.
Love this place. They have happy hour oysters and margaritas right now. Presentation of the oysters is super nice and $1 per oyster even nicer. My go to is the steak burrito. It’s delicious and big enough to kill big hunger or to share if you have something else like elite. All is good. The staff is super nice and the outdoors seating is great.
Wowowow! I am pleased to find a place in Miami where they focus on the food and not just atmosphere. This place has it all! Everything we had was amazing. What I loved the most was the shrimp. Yes for Uptown 66!! Prices are super decent too for the food it’s so worth it. See you soon uptown
Hongos taco is choice! We love their happy hour deals. Be very careful with parking around this business. The signs can be confusing and there are tow trucks circling constantly. We saw 4 cars get towed or booted during happy hour.
The horchata was then best I ever had , it was like milky and creamy. I didn’t like how I Couldn’t order my birria taco without cheese though . So I ordered the flautas chicken it was ok .
Eat here at least 2x a month! This is definitely not traditional Mexican and wouldn't call this TexMex either. It's more like MIAMex! Miami's own spin on things... Love to support locally owned and operated businesses like this. But we return b/c they make great food, priced right, and service is fast. Really what more can ask for you? Whether you dine on-site or get take out it's all good! Steak burrito and Nachos (no matter what topping - chicken, steak, or just plain it is all yummy)
When a true chef that has the exact touch for flavor, qualities and consistency and his passion and love comes to full expression in every bite, is when a place like Uptown 66 is born. One of Miami’s rarest gems and a must try for any foodie and those who simply love to eat real great food
Say it with me now, we're not here for the atmosphere, we're here for birria tacos, steak burritos, and churros! This spot on extremely busy biscayne is the authentic taco spot that we all needed down here. I've eaten here twice since I discovered it a few weeks ago and I'm already thinking of my next visit. The caesar salad with chicken is amazing - which is something I rarely say at mexican spots. Anyways I highly recommend you come check this place out if you haven't!
Here in Miami visiting from Indianapolis, IN. and came to this place from being out all night partying. Lol. I ordered the Uptown Nachos and OMG! They were sooooo GOOD! They had forgotten to give me my queso cheese, salsa verde, and red sauce the first time I went. I ended up going like that next day to get those nachos again and with the queso, salsa verde, and red sauce it tasted even better. 😊😊 Very nice portion for the price. I wasn't disappointed at all. If you've never tried the nachos, GET THEM! I'm going to miss having these nachos when I go back home. 😩😩 Lol.
Uptown 66 never misses. The queso and birria are fantastic, and the quesadillas and shrimp burrito are easily my favorites. Highly recommend.
Julie was my server and she was amazing. This place never disappoints. The atmosphere is excellent and the food quality and service is top tier. I will definitely be back again and again and again. I hope their recipes don’t change as they grow.
Uptown is my favorite place to get nachos!! The ingredients are super fresh, the queso is amazing, and the chips are so crispy. My favorite is getting the steak nachos and though they are simple with the toppings, they taste delicious and are my go-to favorite. I also enjoyed the flautas and tacos - birria, chicken, and barbacoa.
Probably the best tacos I’ve ever had! Strongly recommend Al pastor tacos. The burritos are amazing as well! We actually ate there two nights in a row, the atmosphere is authentic, just pic nic tables and nice lights. The only downside is service which wasn’t all too friendly but it might have been a bad day for them. 100% recommend!
As I drove past Uptown 66 on Biscayne Blvd, as I have Many times before, full of people, my nephew was telling me Uptown was voted one of the Best Tacos 🌮 in the USA, so tonight.... I stopped in! Very Casual and Cool atmosphere, order at the counter style restaurant take a number and you'll be served a plate of delicious, at a Very reasonable price. Tonight I ordered the Birria Braised Beef with dipping sauce, fresh lime, onions, and ciliantro, Wow! Uptown has a Good selection of beers, and alcohol as well as Take Out, so you're covered. It was my first time at Uptown... Finally, and definitely won't be my last. ENJOY!!
How didn't I visit this spot sooner?! I wasn’t able to photograph the tacos because immediately after devouring the Elote I couldn’t help myself and I attacked those right after. All I can I say is I was impressed upon my first visit. Top quality. Nice portion. The Homemade Horchata was so satisfying. Can’t wait to go back. Well done. Very well done. That kitchen is putting out some tasty food.
Uptown 66 is a taco lover’s paradise! I had the pleasure of trying a variety of items from their menu, and each one blew me away. The steak burrito was packed with flavor—juicy, tender steak wrapped in a perfectly grilled tortilla, with just the right amount of seasoning and fillings. The pollo asado taco was a standout, with smoky, charred chicken that was both moist and delicious. The barbacoa taco was a melt-in-your-mouth experience, rich and savory with a depth of flavor that kept me coming back for more. The al pastor taco had a great balance of sweet and savory, with the pineapple adding a perfect touch of brightness. The birria taco was a comforting, flavorful delight, especially when dipped in that amazing consommé. And let’s not forget the tiger shrimp—they were cooked to perfection, tender and juicy with a hint of spice that really made them pop. On top of the incredible food, the customer service was top-notch. The staff was warm, welcoming, and super attentive, making sure my experience was nothing short of fantastic. Uptown 66 is officially my go-to spot for tacos. Can’t wait to come back!
If you’re thinking about it, take this as a sign you should. I was blown away with out packed with flavor everything was. The elote, the birria, and the uptown nachos are a must. They followed my special requests and they are top notch in service and taste! This will be my new favorite spot when visiting Miami.
I absolutely loved my visit to Uptown 66! We heard glowing recommendations from our friends and decided to try it during our trip to Miami. The outdoor seating and the small taco joint vibe made it a unique and charming experience. Though it's tucked away, the effort to find this place was well worth it. The menu may be small, but everyone was raving about their burritos, so we knew we had to try them. We were even told that these burritos are so good that it's worth freezing some to take back for our friends – now that's a testament to their deliciousness! The only downside was the lack of parking options. It's a shame they don't have an assigned parking lot, but we followed the lead of others and parked across the street, making sure to keep an eye on our car from being towed while we enjoyed our meal outdoors. The fans were a relief in the Florida sun, but sometimes they weren't enough to beat the heat. Nevertheless, the lack of a wait in line to order made the process smooth and efficient, perfect for a quick and satisfying bite. As for the food, we ordered both the shrimp and steak burritos, splitting them half and half, along with churros for dessert. I couldn't put the burrito down once I started eating it – the flavors were incredible. It is true that the burritos were a bit pricey and didn't come with any sides, but the taste and quality more than made up for it. Everything was cooked to order, and you could tell how fresh the ingredients were. Personal preference led me to favor the steak over the shrimp, and the green sauce over the red – both were delicious, though. The only slight drawback was that the food came out one at a time, but once we received the churros, we forgot about the wait entirely. They were well worth it, and I can confidently say they were the best churros I've ever had! Overall, Uptown 66 left a lasting impression with its mouthwatering burritos and delightful churros. It's a must-visit for anyone craving authentic and flavorful Mexican food, despite the minor parking inconvenience. I'll definitely be recommending this place to all my friends as well!
Best tacos I’ve had here since moving from San Antonio TX. I can only vouch for the Al Pastor and the Carne/Steak Tacos 5/5. They were amazing. We also tried the Birria Tacos, but I have had better. I preferred the green sauce over the consomé. Will go back just for the pastor and carne alone. The shells were freshly made and the toppings were perfect. There is only outside seating and it was pretty hot. Some of their fans were turned off. Part of the tables are facing the street with cars driving past. Parking can be difficult to find depending what time you go.
Just cruising along Biscayne Blvd on a hot Tuesday afternoon. Looking for a little shade & a snack. This small outdoor cafe with umbrellas & tables right off the street was perfect. Quick service, very small Mexican street food menu but what caught my eye was the Happy Hour4-7 M-F items. $1 fresh oysters on the half shell! I ordered a dozen! They were served over ice with a mild sauce, lemon wedges & fresh onions & greens on a huge gorgeous platter! This is without question the BEST HAPPY HOUR OYSTER DEAL IN MIAMI! They were fresh & A-1 quality. Thank you guys!
Phenomenal burritos and nachos. The only nachos I've ever ordered where you have more toppings than tortilla chips AND there are no cheap fillers. The steak burrito is tied for best burrito in America for me, the other being from Nick's Grill in Kirkland, WA. The mushroom taco was pretty average, though. Overall this place is GREAT.
We have wanted to stop by here for a long time and we finally made the time to do it, and what a great idea that was! We are hooked now on their delicious dishes! It's a really cool looking place with great outdoor decor. I love the blue and white colors! It looks clean and well cared for, which is important to us. We were greeted by Epos Olo, who was friendly and helpful. We ordered ahead of time on their app. We shared the following items: Elote, Chicken 'n cheese quesadillas, Birria tacos, Guac n chips, and Al Pastor tacos. Let me tell you: everything was delicious!! Tasty, seasoned right, great flavors, perfection, and perfect size. We even had left-overs for dinner that night. We will definitely be back very soon to try other items! You should try them and thank me later, lol.
Never disappoints. The best nachos around - large and filling. I recommend getting queso on the side so you can half leftovers otherwise the chips will be soggy. Wish the still served margaritas !
I always recommend uptown 66, best chicken nachos I’ve ever had, and still holds the title. The steak burrito is also addicting, and they have the best churros
Uptown 66 is a real gem! THEY HAVE DELIRIUM TREMENS on tap!!! They have Oysters and shell fish that are fresh. The Burritos are covered with melted cheese!!!(ridiculous taste! So yummy) and then they have home made Flan and Churros to finish it up!!!
I had a blast! Food and service was top tier! Will definitely be back during happy hour and for more ladies night ☺️
I have been dying to come here and like 50+ friends of mine came all at the same time!!! The Uptown66 staff were soooooo amazing, kind, and beyond hospitable!! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!! Thank you guys so much for having us and the food was 👌 awesome
Such an amazing spot! I’ve been here twice and loved it both times. The food is incredible and the experience overall is always great. Definitely one of my go-to restaurants.
The food at place was incredible! We had at our table a steak burrito, a steak nachos, and a steak bowl - all were phenomenal! Will definitely come back the next time I’m in town.
Potentially the best burrito I've ever eaten. Admittedly I was a little skeptical when I first arrived but I promise you this place is incredible. Phenomenal. Life changing. I've come away a better person after eating the steak nachos. The steak bowled weighed more than a baby. The way I devoured the burrito was unspeakable.
We were in the area and decided to try this place. We tried the steak burrito and the chicken tacos, and both were loaded and delicious. The vibe of the place is fast casual, but the quality of the food is definitely high end. Service was great too. Definitely will go again.
If you’re looking for an authentic taco experience that hits every note of flavor, texture, and atmosphere, Uptown 66 is an absolute must. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by the aroma of freshly grilled meats, sizzling tortillas, and the kind of energy that can only come from a place that truly loves what it does. The star of the show? Without a doubt — the Birria Taco. It’s perfection in every bite: tender, juicy beef slow-cooked until it practically melts in your mouth, wrapped in a crispy, golden tortilla dipped in rich consommé before being grilled to perfection. The depth of flavor is unreal — smoky, savory, with just the right balance of spice and richness. Dunking each taco into the warm, aromatic broth takes the experience to another level. It’s comfort food elevated to something almost magical. Beyond the Birria, every taco on the menu feels thoughtfully crafted. The ingredients are fresh, the seasoning bold, and the presentation unpretentious but beautiful. The salsas pack real personality — from the tangy verde to the fiery roja — and the homemade tortillas tie everything together with that perfect chew and subtle corn flavor. The staff at Uptown 66 deserve a special mention. Friendly, passionate, and genuinely proud of what they serve, they make you feel like part of the family. Whether you sit at the bar or the patio, the vibe is vibrant yet relaxed, perfect for both a quick lunch and a late-night taco run. In a city full of taco spots, Uptown 66 stands out for one reason: authenticity with soul. You can taste the dedication in every dish, especially that unforgettable Birria taco. It’s easily one of the best in town — the kind of meal that leaves you already planning your next visit before you even finish the last bite.
This is our spot after the run club, even been here maybe 6 times already. We always get the nachos. With barbacoa. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. They just load the hell out of them. Great for sharing. Also my friends and I love Alberto’s service. He literally shows every table a good time. It shows he loves working and it makes the experience even better.
Great burritos!! The steak burrito is delicious, they use potatoes instead of rice, really good! They have a vegetarian burrito too, which isn’t on the menu, but great too! The birria tacos are amazing!!! Get them! There’s only outdoor seating, not ideal if it rains. The staff were also very kind and friendly.
GUYS!! MUST TRY THE STEAK BURRITO IT IS PHENOMENAL and I myself am not find of this type of cuisine, was my first time trying birria tacos and the burrito , The birrias are quite tasteless in my opinion, taste like meat and cheese, no spices / flavors, even after dipping in the broth thingy- that also had no flavor , and adding sauces. So 2/10 The Steak burrito however? PACKED with vegetables, guacamole, cheese , meat, adding the green + red spicy sauce just brings you to taste heaven! 10/10!!
The exceptional customer service truly enhanced the dining experience. The prompt delivery ensured the meal arrived at the perfect moment. Each dish offered a delightful and savory taste. It's clear that a high level of care goes into preparing and delivering the food. This combination of quality and service makes for a truly memorable experience.
This place has been receiving a lot of hype lately so naturally we had to go and check it out for ourselves. A lot of people are saying that this is the best spot for Eiko’s in the US which after trying uptown I wouldn’t say they are the best in the US because I haven’t tried everything in the US. The food was great. We got a burrito , nachos , flautas , Birria tacos , and churros for around $80 to me these prices are very inflated, but it is Miami unfortunately unfortunately. The burrito was excellent. The nachos were very big and I can’t complain about any of the food. We did order churros to go and we ended up sitting for an extra 30 minutes waiting for them and it seemed like they had just for our order.
I ordered a variety of food from the chips & guac , elote, beef tacos, chicken tacos, horchata and churros. Everything tasted amazing except for the tacos I would say it’s good but I have had better for sure. Out of all the things I tried I liked the elite the most. Another point I wanted to add was the horchata is on the thicker side if you don’t mind that, otherwise taste wise it’s nice!
Uptown 66 might not serve the best Mexican food you’ll ever have, but it’s a solid spot when you’re craving Mexican flavors and want to enjoy a few drinks. The shareable nachos are a great option for the table, and both the taco birria and the steak burrito were satisfying and well prepared. The drinks are good, the ambiance is clean and comfortable, and the service is quick and friendly. The only downside might be consistency—sometimes the food is great, while other times the flavors can feel a bit off.
These are some of my favorite tacos in the city! The staff is wonderful. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is the amount of time it takes for an order. I love to come here for lunch during work hours, but it’s taking over 20 minutes to receive 2 tacos :/ it’s getting increasingly difficult to come during working hours due to the long wait time for food. Like I said the food is delicious, so it’s almost worth it, but I’d come even more if the time for the food to be ready took less!
An excellent spot for a quick but incredible tasting meal. On a great weather day its an awesome place to eat in their outdoor dining tables, or take you meal to go and enjoy your delightfully prepared food at the larger park directly across the street. Everything they make travels well and is thoughtfully crafted. The beef has so much flavor that it would be delicious if they just fed it to you in a bowl, but when paired with the rest of the burrito accompaniments it's over the top good. Sometimes the service is a little slow if they get behind on an order and we had to ask for an update to rather than being informed. I don't think there's a better place to get your fix of tacos, burritos in the area and will be back for more.
Tastes good but take away takes forever(like 45 mins) The order was steak bowl ,coke, and 1 birria taco.order a head if you can.
I don't understand what all the hype is about this place. I had the beef burrito and it was adequate. It tasted okay but nothing to write home about. I went a couple days ago when it was very chilly outside and they had the fan blasting. I asked them if they would turn it off or point it in a different direction and they did nothing. I had to take a phone call during lunch and the music was so loud I couldn't speak to the person. The lady who took my order was pleasant as was the server, but the food and the atmosphere were definitely sub par. Doesn't compare to Cayo Taco.
I ordered on door dash around 7pm. My husband had a steak burrito and he really liked it. I got a steak quesadilla and was lacking on the cheese by ALOT. Their elotes were too!
I’m a regular with you guys and I would just like a little more consistency. I love the food but before you were charging $12.95 for flautas and it would come with 3 now you’re charging $14-15 and it only comes with 2. If you’re gonna upcharge me at least give me my moneys worth.
Super mid, hard to find good taco spots in Miami. Pastor tasted weird, maybe I came on an off day. Also the girl at the counter looked like she hated her life lol personally I wouldn’t go back, overpriced for the quality & flavour.
It's definitely the best burrito in town, though that's not saying much in Miami. My personal feeling is that sometime in the past year or so the quality diminished, though it's quite subtle. I don't think anyone would be disappointed by their food, it's pretty good! It just feels that the balance of flavors the famous steak burrito used to have has been largely replaced by an overwhelming saltiness. This is only relevant for someone who might eat here often do to proximity. As a one off stop it is still good, but order a drink...
Let me preface, I love this place the food is amazing and I go quite often. However, the last two times I have been the service has been absolutely awful. The guy working the register had a horrible attitude. I asked a question and he looked annoyed that I was even there. This was the second time in a row I go and the same guy working the register be extremely rude and seemed to be annoyed at all the customers.
Great food but I was trying to put an order in and because I was not speaking Spanish the woman stopped speaking to me, turned around, and grabbed someone else to work with me. It was extremely dismissive and rude. She could have said sorry she didn't speak English but instead handled it in a very rude manner as if she didn't want to deal with me. This is the second time we've come here and the food is great but the service will cause us to not return. The funny thing is I speak enough Spanish to order food she just wasn't patient enough to let me. Hope you guys can train folks to be more inclusive lol.
I heard a lot of hype about this spot with some even claiming that this spot is the home of the best taco in all of Miami. Given this, my expectations going in were quite high and sadly they weren't met at all. To begin with the atmosphere, I have to say that it was really annoying to have to continuously deal with an army of flies during my time here. I could barely get a single bite in without a group of flies coming near my mouth. To add onto this, the tables weren't fully cleaned. When it comes to the drinks, I enjoyed the horchata, but for $6 there was way too much ice and the cup was way too small. As for the tacos themselves, they weren't bad perse, but they definitely didn't warrant all the hype. The birria tacos were by far the worst as the consome was insanely salty and the meat was quite dry. Might come back and give them another chance, but I really don't have much good to say from my first experience here.
Service and food has drastically went on a decline. I hate writing negative reviews but the only way I feel reach the leadership in my hometown spot! I usually got after 12am and it’s been really bad! Hope it gets sorted out! Was really a great spot!
Update: Tacos are tasty but overpriced, and the staff can be hit or miss. My husband and I order often, usually through Uber Eats. Since horchata isn’t listed, a former manager told me to order an extra barbacoa and call to swap it. It worked fine for months—minus a couple times they forgot it, so I started reminding them to put it in the bag. Today, a new manager gave me a hard time about it, even after I paid. She eventually gave me the drink but made it clear they won’t do this anymore. That’s fine—if the policy changed, just say so. But don’t come at me sideways for following instructions your team gave me.
If you ever want a Birria Taco w zero flavor and burnt and bad pastor tacos this is your place. No flavor no sazon What a waste of a meal!
Summary: Food was cold, inedible, worst burrito I’ve actually ever bitten into in my life because the meat was all one giant wad with fat stuck together in the ENTIRE burrito. And service was not good, guy at counter made me feel like he hated working there or wanted me to leave. I’ve been here a few times for sit in, normally service is decent since it’s usually busy late night. Dec 16 at 12 AM had take out for the second time and tipped $1, which isn’t required (especially for take out) and not the best tip but the burrito I received was absolutely disgusting. Not sure if there is a correlation here with tipping for take out and quality of food and service, but that’s not a proper way to keep customers satisfied. The steak was all one giant piece stuck together by fat and wasn’t cut at all it seemed. At first, I thought it was just one part of the burrito, but the whole burrito was like that, and all the meat was connected together. I threw the whole burrito away because It was impossible to attempt to chew through the giant wad of meat I have in the photo. Not to mention, I wasn’t notified about my takeout order being complete even though I was waiting at the counter for over 25 minutes, staring at my order trying to get someone’s attention, even tho I politely reminded 2 separate men working the front and floor. A previous time a worker actually checked my quesadilla and opened the tortillas with his bare hands in front of me, like shuffling a deck of cards. And again, I waited for 30+ minutes with no notice of my order being completed and I was right by the counter. I was hoping the lapse in service was isolated but apparently not.
This place used to be good! Every time I order food to go it’s always messed. Cmon guys how incompetent do you have to be? I just ordered guacamole and chips and don’t put the chips with the order. Every time I call to complain they say we refund the money!!! Who dam cares at this point!! You guys need to do better or you will start losing customers. Or hire people that care about their jobs!!! Last time I’ll order from you guys again!!
I order through their website which put my order through door dash. I accidentally input the incorrect address so the dasher never delivered my food. I called uptown 66 and they were unable to help and refused to refund me. It was an honest mistake on my end and because the order wasn’t placed directly on door dash… door dash was unable to provide a refund or assist. I can’t believe DoorDash and uptown 66 could not find a resolution. I know I’m not the only one who made this mistake before . Uptown 66 customer service sucks and it is so unfortunate.
I used to come here a lot, the “ambiance” is really bad, usually smells like sewage outside but the food is good. Tonight I ordered some food to go to avoid eating there, and I was waiting for ages until I approached the counter, the food was seating there all this time, and the guy at the counter showing zero interest or any hospitality etiquette told me we called you, you didn’t listen, I literally was a few feet away and if I didn’t listen at least you can come over and let me know, what a joke totally inappropriate and unacceptable for a business providing food service, I’ve been in the food industry for decades btw
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER: Two orders of Chicken Taco, one of the orders came fast, the other came later, one of them was messed up and brought Taco Al Pastor instead. An order of Chicken Burrito, it took 32 minutes to have it prepared despite of the amount of persons in the place. Mango margaritas were GREAT. Please review your order, on busy times we tend to care less for service and more for money.
I’ll start off by saying the food is good here. And I’ve been back because of that. Everything but the food sucks. Tonight I ordered food at 12:05. I ordered 2 dishes. One came 10 minutes later. I ate it and waited 40 minutes for the birria tacos to show up. The staff were all wasting time on their phone. You could literally see the kitchen staff waiting around and doing nothing. After 30 minutes I got up and said what happened to the rest of my meal- which now became a second meal! And they asked me to wait while they finished whatever they were doing on their phones. I couldn’t even eat the SECOND MEAL almost an hour after I ordered. Wildly rude and inconsiderate. It’s sad because the food is good. Service sucks. Ambiance at night time- trash and food all over the floors and tables. Yikes. Probably won’t come back.
Do your self a favor drive a little further to Taco Bell down the street which has better tacos at third of the price. Three orders in row Uptown keeps making errors it's like no one checks what they put in the bag, u order three u get two , they pack tacos upside down not sure uber issue or uptown, bug yes bug in chicken taco container because it waits outside on table for uber scooters to pick it up. Too many errors no more
I ordered an insanely overpriced Horchata and it was an abhorrent abomination of whole milk, condensed milk (so thick I could barely drink it through the straw) some ice and a sprinkle of cinnamon, just awful. I would tell this business what real horchata is but since I don’t work for free they can just Google it if they even care to. That was the last of my money they will ever see. It was almost insulting lol, oh the face I made. Tacos were pretty dry, sub par flavors, mid at best. I’ve had better tacos at a sports bar. The owners should go to CA and get trained by (or hire) some actual Mexicans. This is just unauthentic fusion. The service could be better too, easiest thing to fix, just be nicer & not rude, piece o’ cake. You will never hear “a la orden!” I can explain it to you, but I can’t understand it for you. *Shrugs
DO NOT GO HERE I just went for late night pick up around 11:30 it’s really fallen off from when it opened.. and the workers are so rude it’s depressing, It’s always like that now. Also whenever my boyfriend pays for pick up in his name (unique name) there is something wrong with his order, this time we found 2 completely different hairs in his burrito l. It sucks cause he doesn’t have a beard or red hair and neither do I so they are not ours and we wasted like $80. Disgusting now he feels like puking, I feel like I have a hair stuck in my throat.
