First time I ever ate at Golden Chick is when we moved to Jarrell, TX. Now I will take a 4 piece Spicy Chicken Tenders any day of the week! I just love them! Never had a bad or small order and they are always so tender they almost melt in my mouth!

This is the most efficient Golden Chick I've been to. The location has a Very short drive through so you basically need to know what you want before you get to the menu to order. You get your food fast and it's always hot and correct 💯

The fried breast and leg were a good size, properly cooked, and hit the spot. Love their rolls. Wasn't thrilled with the coleslaw, but coleslaw is tricky. It was good enough.

I just want to write a review because every time I come and eat here the food always comes fast and fresh, customer service is amazing and you can tell that the team working behind the counter is very strong. Bathroom ALWAYS spotless clean and it is nice too. Tables never dirty. Everybody talks to you with a smile. Shout out to Randy, always see him working hard! Nancy & Martha all yall need a raise! This is the best location ever.

I tried the roasted chicken and it was sooo good! Good food, great service. Clean restaurant and the price was awesome too. I haven’t tried anything else yet, as I had just stopped for a snack, but I will be back to try other things on the menu!

I met someone who owned 2 locations, and he spoke very highly of the way they marinated the chicken and how everything was fresh. I was out of town when we spoke, so I wanted some Golden Chicken bad. I love the gravy, and luckily, I live close to one and can eat there anytime I'd like.

We occasionally swing into this Golden Chick and always have a good experience. The staff is friendly, the food is great, and our orders are correct every time. We have never had a bad experience here. I love their mashed potatoes and gravy. They are the best comfort food when you need it! The drive-thru can be a pain since the business is not in the best location and everything is crammed. The lot it sits on is just way too small. That's my only complaint. Other than that, great staff, terrific customer service, and good food! I definitely recommend it. Just be prepared if it's busy and you have to deal with the drive-thru. If anything, it is the other customers in line that can be rather rude. It has nothing to do with the business.

It's fast food, it's good. The only thing about this location is that it doesn't have much space, so when it's busy and you get told to pull off to the side, it's a bit awkward. But overall, great customer service every time I go!

I wish this was local Golden Chick, it has the best customer service and food I've had in three years in any Golden Chick. The drive through was packed the whole time. I ordered dine in on a Saturday about 7pm and they're was only one other group of teens there. This is one of the more upscale crowds and location compared to all the other locations I've seen. The place was clean and organized, the employees did a great job getting the order right and in a reasonable time. I really enjoyed my dine in experience.

The food was really good, always fresh, they have a really fast drive through, the price is a little on the expensive side for chicken, but it's worth it.

Got there like 20 minutes till closing but my food was still hot and the service was still 😃 we had rotisserie chicken, fried chicken which I absolutely love, mashed potatoes with gravy, dirty rice, green beans. it's also good and the rolls are to die for!

After a bad experience about a year ago, we waited a long time before we gave them another chance. Now, the place is clean, service is prompt and the food is good. Much better than the Colonel, not as good as the Louisiana kitchen, but good enough that, because they are close, we are comfortable with getting some chicken to go.

Hands down the best fried chicken fast food place in the area. Always fast and friendly service! Food is always good. Just check your order before you leave, as sometimes they forget the fries. BUT they rectified that issue with me, hassle free!

Very good food and super affordable, for a family of 3-4 we can eat with under $25. We usually eat with $18 but once in a while we get extra sides. They have good specials sometimes , the 10 piece thighs and legs for like $9 and we get 2 sides. My wife loves their yeast rolls. Overall it's very affordable for families.

The ice cream is great when dining in. They always show love on the tender count. This is a local staple for that quick and satisfying meal with kids on the go.

I always went to this location in university with my mother. She loves the flavor and quality of the food, and the best part about eating in is always the amazing ice cream. The chicken is delicious, the rolls are fragrant, and the ice cream is truly delightful. Since it’s free with dine-in, I love dining in if I can. Today, I came here near closing time to order some sandwiches and they had run out of enough chicken. I was willing to wait, but was kindly offered two free drinks as compensation for the wait. The hospitality and kindness of the employees is much appreciated! From this particular situation, I felt their service was also very good. All-around, I really enjoy this restaurant and am a loyal customer.

A franchise started by World War 2 Vets in San Marcos Texas this is some real Texas country fast food I have it on the top of my list. Golden Chick is way above chic fil a. If you have yet to try it get the 4 strip combo you won't regret it or get the chicken sandwich 🔥🔥🔥 so good if I could I'd eat there every day.

Our favorite chicken place! Best pecan chicken salad anywhere!! Best roasted , too! It is well-seasoned and juicy! Their french fries are above everyone else’s. We love getting a mini self-serve ice cream when we dine in at this location. Love the freedom to choose an additional side dish in place of a drink. (And they will still give you pristine, cold water.) Staff is always nice, place is clean, and the ceiling is a beautiful antique-style copper tile.

This is an older store, but it was clean. I received friendly service, with a smile. I think their fries are the best in Georgetown! I ordered the he kid's meal if 3 tenders, fries, drink and a roll. The tenders were very large, and the serving of fries was also large. I am a Senior and got 2 good meals out of it, and also enjoyed a Senior discount!

I’ve been a fan of Golden Chick since they were known as Golden Fried Chicken. This location gives the chain a good name, in my opinion. I placed an online order a got there a bit too early. They courteously asked me to pull up and they’d bring the food out. They also came out to let me know that there was a slight delay on some fresh dark meat. Even so, they were still getting the food out to me right around the time of my order. I’m very impressed with their customer service. Regarding the food, everything was packed well and accurate. The food was as good as I hoped and the okra was really good!

Fast food isn’t really our thing, but every now and then we get the craving—and the Golden Chick here in Georgetown is one of the few places we trust to get it right. This spot has always been solid for us: the app is easy, our orders are ready whether we walk-in or hit the drive-thru to pickup, and everything’s been accurate every time. Even when it’s busy, the staff is friendly and makes an effort to be attentive to everyone who walks in. When we do opt for the less-healthy meal option, this place never disappoints.

Everything is great except no worker acknowledges you when you come in to the restaurant. Someone could at least say “we’ll be right with you” or something.

Pretty good. They have a pretty heavy seasoning that is pretty good, but you need to be in the mood for it. They have good options other than chicken as well. Like their sides, they have a lot of good sides. The sweet tea is a little heavy for my taste. But over all good.

For fast meal at fair price this place never fails to make the grade. The food is consistent, flavorful and fresh. The staff are very kind and efficient. Wait times to both order and receive food is perfect and they do not mess up the orders. Aside from fact that ice cream machine seems to be perpetually broken and they could use someone to clean up more?;Really enjoy going here.

My family can eat some Golden Chick, and this is one of our two most frequent choices. It is not always as clean as it should be. However, the staff always makes me feel like family, and they always get the order out fast, hot, and right. The soft serve machine needs service now, as the cones "droop". Wish they still had their biscuits, which were some of the best in the business. I don't like the yeast rolls AT ALL.

I thought food was pretty good but the chicken was cook in burned oil and it was nasty. The dirty rice was to spicy for my taste and the Mac Cheese real real great.I would order it again.But over all I would give them another try.The okra was good and cook prefect.

We hadn't been to Golden Chick in a few years so we decided to give it a shot. It wasn't as good as we remembered. The chicken tenders and the sides all seemed smaller. The green beans had a bit of unusual flavor. Can't put my finger on it, but I couldn't finish them. The roasted chicken breast was probably the best we had tonight.

I ordered the 3-piece tender meal. It was not bad, but I can definitely tell the chicken comes frozen. I came during the winter storm and the staff was extremely hospitable despite it being not busy inside. They actually gave me four tenders, which was generous. The yeast roll was delicious, the fries were alright, but if it weren’t for the gravy, this meal would’ve been mostly tasteless. Would I come here again? Maybe. There are a lot of local restaurants in that area that offer chicken tenders that are superb, albeit just not served as fast.

The staff at the Austin Ave location are more friendly than the staff at Williams Dr location. The food is good but can get pricy. Don't order the catfish through the drive-thru at the Williams dr location because the staff will get even more pissy with you.

Customer service is nice enough, but the drive in is very short, leaving your car blocking a busy road if there’s 2 people in line at the menu. There’s very limited parking to go in either. Overall, the food is average/ not awesome but not intolerable either.

Went for fish on a Sunday evening. Normally we have a good experience with the online ordering thing at this location. One, the order was late. We waited in the designated curbside spot for 5-6 minutes after our order was promised then called them before they finally brought it out. When we got home we didn't have any tartar sauce or forks to eat with. The cod sandwich was deconstructed without lettuce or anything else...just the piece of fish and a separate bun. The only condiments we got was a few packs of Texas Pete hot sauce. I guess we'll stick to chicken next time.

We love their chicken: rotisserie and fried. You can get it mixed. Their fluffy rolls are warm and tasty but this time my rolls were cool to the touch. Bummed!

Is unfair to leave a poor review with a single visit... but it is what it is. This is the first time we have been to a Golden Chick. Service was fast, and we had out order in under two minutes. I had the spicy chicken fingers which seemed to be regular chick finders with spice sprinkle on top. it would be good to have a spicey batter for frying. The chicken itself was hot and juicy. The spice was just heat, not much taste to it. My son ordered plane chicken fingers, but when they came out, they were covered in spice as well. I had to pull off the areas covered with the most spice before he could eat it. The white gravy is good as a chicken dipping sauce or on the biscuit. I ordered a side of coleslaw. It was fairly tasteless, rather dull in the mouth. It needed salt, pepper, pineapple... something.

Food missed the mark by a long shot via taste and availability. I ordered for dine in and had to ask for plates instead of them coming with my order. Atmosphere gets a 3 star because the bathroom was clean and it was quiet due to it being slow but there were more dirty tables than clean ones.

The service is always wonderful. The only small issue was the chicken fingers and fries were kind of old/cold. My partner ordered the catfish and that was fresh and hot.

Just tried the new Buffalo Tenders as well as the new Korean BBQ Tenders. Let me say this... The absolute WORST Buffalo sauce in existence! I wouldn't eat another one of these if I was starving for a month. The Korean BBQ was somewhat better but the sesame oil & ginger are very prevalent. Better but not by much. Why'd you have to mess up your biggest seller with two horrible sauces? Need new product development crew.

Ordered unsweetened tea in the drive thru then headed for the river. Even in 100+ degree heat this iced beverage was not worth drinking. Old and stale. Upon returning to the restaurant after swimming and complaining about the tea and returning the full cup I was offered a new cup for the drink of my choice. We ordered a snack and the food was ok. The trash was overfilled and the tables were not clean. I told my son to remind me to never come to this Georgetown location again.

Every time I order more than 5 pieces of fried chicken I have to wait over 15 minuets. How do you stay in business selling fried chicken if you never have it cooked when people order. The good thing is my food is always fresh but if I wanted to wait I would not have gone for fast food.

I love golden chick but it feels like every time I come here I have to call in and complain that my order is missing something, just picked up an order 20 mins ago and double check to see if everything looks good and they ring me up a cole slaw instead of my fries how does it happen? Went back to get that and I get home to see I am missing my extra gravy. I don’t have it in me to keep calling in and complaining but it’s always something with this place

I wasn't impressed with the food. Odd sauce on the chicken sandwich. Catfish had a muddy taste. Saddened me because I love catfish. Ordered a sweet tea and they were out. I did love the corn nuggets. For the price it should have been better!!

I have been eating Golden Chick religiously for years now, and have NEVER been more disappointed. I recently moved to Georgetown so this way my first time trying this one out, and it was awful. dry chicken. cold roll. am so sad it was delivered to me at work so I can’t go exchange it. is there a “post pic” button😭

Food poisoned two serperate occasions within 6 months. Never again, Gold chick in Liberty Hill, much better chicken without the poisiong.

The chicken was inedible to my family. It tasted to us like the oil was rancid, or had been severely burned, as in something was burned in the oil tainting everything cooked afterwards. I called the store and notified them of the situation. They may have known, as it appeared the employees were doing a thorough cleaning of all the chicken cooling racks. I expressed my desire for a refund to my card. No such thing has happened in the last four days. I live 40 minutes from this location, so it's not worth driving back to resolve, but I will be notifying my credit card company to reverse the charges. To anyone at Golden interested, I still have a box of worthless chicken if y'all want.

Look at the advertisement, then look at what you actually get for $8.00. Stick to the chicken which what I should have done.

The food smelled great, but we stood at the register for a few minutes without being acknowledged. We watched as at least SIX employees walked in front of us without a word. Customer service is fundamental.

Went through the drive thru in Georgetown and ordered the 9 piece wicked wings meal with mashed potatoes and green beans. I asked the drive thru person for extra gravy on my potatoes, because they never have enough gravy on them. I always have to ask for gravy. I also ordered the sriracha and honey wings as well. When I got home and got settled, I found my mashed potatoes without any gravy. Just dry. They gave extra sriracha sauce for my mom’s wings, but I couldn’t get any gravy. I called the next day to let them know and was told that I should have called the night of my order and there is nothing I they can do about it. The manager I spoke with was a Mr. Ricardo. The way that establishments handle their customers nowadays is ridiculous. No care whatsoever. The moment we as customers stop coming then this is when they will understand. I paid my hard earned money for gravy, that’s what I should have gotten the first time around. Since my order was messed up, Mr. Ricardo, you could have suggested on my next return, to give me some extra gravy at no charge!!! That would have been great customer service and a way to keep your customer!!!

I ordered food to go in the drive thru. I made it home and realized that they forgot my corn nuggets that I paid for. I called the store and spoke with the manager Ms. Garcia, and she told me that they do not offer refunds and the only option I had was to come back and pick up the corn nuggets that they forgot. Not sure what kind of business doesn't offer refunds for items paid for and not recieved but this business seems to be ok with that. So beware if ordering from this location. Bad policies and bad service.

I ordered a Chicken sandwich and a cup of water. On the receipt I saw that the cashier charged me $2.99 for the cup of water. When I asked if they always charge customers for a cup of water, she said yes. So I am leaving this review here because that is the first time I ever experienced that at any restaurant in my life. The Chicken sandwich was pretty good though.

Not sure what's going on with this place but every time I eat at this location in particular, hours later, I feel terrible. Idk if it's old oil they're using or old products but this doesn't happen to me ANYWHERE ELSE. The first time, I just thought it was me. The second time, I thought it was weird. The third time, was the last time, and by far the worst feeling I've ever felt after eating somewhere! These trips were all months in between. I have no health issues and it's never happened anywhere else. Go to Raising Cane's just down the road.

jalapenos were hard like bitting in to clay. rolls had a weird medicine like taste. wife asked for legs only no thighs, y'all gave us thighs. then the thighs were dry very chewy like beef jerky. I don't know whats goin on but my past experiences were better then this time. I will definitely think twice about eating there for quite some time maybe even switch back to church's or Bush's or even Kentucky. GET IT TOGETHER GC!!

Ordereda 3 piece chicken meal and I swear the leg wasn't 3 inches long. The thigh was 2.5 inches across and the wing was the same. $13+ for the combo. Catfish fillets were half of the size of normal. Won't be back for sure

Couldn't tell you how the food was because I left without ordering. Nobody was in line ahead of us, man who I would assume was acting manager at least said he'd be right with us. No problem so far. Guy who ordered in drive through came inside, because he basically ordered a combo that didn't exist. He was mad because he explicitly detailed what he wanted, and apparently the person on drive through didn't understand or just wasn't paying attention. Reason I know all of this is because the person I'm calling manager was very dutifully attending to this customer, while me and my coworker stood, apparently invisible, for a good while. I could see there was no roast chicken ready, so I asked another employee if they could prepare a 2 piece roast chicken, since that's what I was going to order. The idea being, I've already waited 10-15 minutes, only person in line, maybe I wouldn't have to then wait even longer for them to get around to make my food. The employee just said 'just wait and then you can order it' I don't know if the employees here are completely apathetic, or simply incompetent but I guess they'll just hire anybody. Don't go here if you value your time, which is laughably poor for a fast food chicken place.

I ordered 6 piece Golden Tenders® combo and only got 4 tiny tenders in a super small box .. Called the store and spoke with the Manager Ricardo and he was very rude and unprofessional i told him the situation and he said come back and I will give you 2 tenders "really" they messed up not me .. after it was 1 hour late and the driver was lost had to call him and give him the address again.. that is the whole point of doordash's because you cant leave work ..the point is the manager Ricardo in charge did not do his job good ..
