I'm just making a general comment because I only stopped for a cappuccino... so I don't know what the rooms and accommodations are like. The place is beautiful, in a truly picturesque location surrounded by stunning mountains. The day with incredible sunshine and lots of snow made everything very evocative. The owners are wonderful, and the service is kind and courteous.

We had lunch with friends in the summer and enjoyed a delightful meal featuring pizzoccheri (I think they were handmade because the pasta was truly amazing: soft on the inside but just the right amount of rough on the outside to allow the cheese to grip perfectly). The cakes are also special and authentic: we're certain they're homemade. The service was very friendly (we stayed until almost 3 PM, undisturbed, chatting at the table inside). We spent €15 each! We were very satisfied!!! Proof of the quality is the fact that even the Alpine shepherds frequent it!

The e-bike tour starts from Morbegno and reaches Pescegallo. There are two routes: the provincial road or along some beautiful bikeable trails. There are some surmountable difficulties after Gerola. Once in Pescegallo, there are 3 km of quite challenging roads because the road is steep, but it is nice, half of it is dirt and in the steepest sections it is paved. Finally, you reach the Salmurano refuge, where a young woman who has taken over the refuge welcomes you in a family atmosphere. You can eat excellent dishes and appetizers, all local products. From there, you can then climb by e-bike to the Salmurano pass, where you have a beautiful view. Or, following a path just below the refuge, you can reach the Pescegallo dam, another beautiful tour. Extremely kind and hospitable! I visited the refuge during a night hike. We arrived quite late, during closing time, and I was worried they'd rightly turn us away. Instead, despite the hour, our tiredness, and the amount of work during the service (on the way up, we saw a lot of people heading down to the parking lot), they welcomed us with extreme kindness and warmth, even sharing anecdotes about life in the refuge and its associated adventures. For me, they made the experience even more beautiful and memorable. Thank you ♥️
