The crazy chicken is really underated in my book. Every time I eat there it's amazing, but I don't go nearly as often as I want to. Prices are good for the amount of food you get and I'm always amazed at how full I am at the end of the meal.

Food is always great here, but what made this trip extra special - my 2 year old was screaming on the top of his lungs and Lupita came over and not only did she bring him stickers, but she also sat with him and spoke in such a soothing manner that it made my son happy again. To top off the whole situation, she gave him a churro as well. Best experience we've had at ANY restaurant in a very long time.

I only gave 3 stars for Service is because for the past two years you have ask for condiments like avacado sauce and hot or mild sauce., onion and cilantro. They always hold back. The whole reason I goto El Pollo Loco is because of their sauces and since the servers are stingy on sauces, that brings the whole experience down considerably! Put it outside like you used to!

This pollo loco was on our way home. Easy to find very close to the highway. It was kinda busy during the time we visited. But we didn’t wait to long to get out food. We dined in and it was nice and clean. Great staff will go again.

I am actually pleasantly surprised by the good here. I had terrible food here years ago and had not gone back since. Their shrimp tacos, birria, burritos, and quesadillas have all been delicious and pleasant. The staff is not always on top of it but they are nice and cordial.

Wonderful experience. Stopped to get some quick bites on the way to Monterey and this place really hit the spot. The first was awesome. Everything treated fresh and higher quality. Service was also great, from everyone having a smile to the toilet paper being hung for more privacy on an ill constructed bathroom stall joint. Loved it. Will look to stop at El Pollo Locos more often on road trips.

The wife and I traveled to California recently (she's from the bay area). Decided to try El Pollo Loco. I was extremely pleased and full after eating lunch. I had the taco/tostada salad...it's a wonder the McDonald's next door is still in business. Also a let down going home as we have none of your fine establishments in Georgia. Please look into expanding here!

Haven't eaten at El Pollo Loco for awhile and this stop was certainly at treat! I'm into fresh ingredients and what I had was no doubt.... FRESH! We decided to add to our purchase the "Family Size" Guacamole w/Chips. It was probably THE BEST "restaurant-made" Guac we had ever tasted!!! There were three of us eating together and the "tub" of Guacamole would certainly have done well for a party of six! Great food!

This one is conveniently located just off the 101 in Gilroy. It was clean and neat inside with ample parking. Service was fast and friendly and the food was fresh. It was the only location ive been where they were playing Mexican music. It was an interesting change, but appropriate! I would definitely stop here again.

El Pollo Loco could be a little better with all honesty, the chicken had a burnt taste not a grilled taste. The side dished were awesome.

Sometimes there's hot girls working there that will give you the eye behind your girlfriend 's back. I go there when I'm dealing with my insecurities.

Love the salsa selection and seasoned chicken. I had a salad, but I wish it had a bit more for the price more lettuce would be nice

I love Pollo Loco.... so I'm giving 4 stars, but I was sooo disappointed when they discontinued the original Pollo Nachos!!! They were absolutely scrumptious. I was excited to hear that they were back!!!! Sadly, the NEW so called nachos are absolutely disgusting, and Pollo Loco should be embarrassed to serve that garbage. It wasn't cheap, and I should have just threw my money in the garbage can. At least I would have spared myself from that nasty taste and huge disappointment. Other than the nachos.... the food is good. I would recommend NO nachos, yes on the rest.

Went for a quick bite to eat after shopping at the Outlets. Ordered the $5 3taco meal. They were nice enough to exclude the tortillas and plut chicken in a bowl with cilantro/onions.

I only used drive-through. I ordered the double chicken salad.They have been closed for quite a while.They just opened.I was thrilled! I love the food.Problem was,they changed the salad.There were items that were not there.No beans,no sour cream,very little salsa.I was disappointed. How can you miss the Crazy Chicken? Better than KFC and not nearly as unhealthy. The core chicken is very tasty if a bit dry (at least the white meat) but they have a good variety of other options.

Hadn't been the for a long time, food was very good, I have the quesadilla salad. Salsas and guacamole tastey. They were bussy, lot of folks picking up and dining in. Need to pay attention to cleaning the table. We did our own. Good price for the food. Took a some home for lunch at work.

I love this place, I come a decent amount! One of the best places to get quick grilled chicken and something relatively healthy if you know what to order. Most of the workers are really good at customer service and getting their job done, at least when I go. Their is a couple of guys that do seem inconsistent with attitude and work ethic though. I think that this is a great restaurant overall!

The food was delicious! Chicken roasted over fire, delicious! The restaurant was clean and l loved how it was decorated. It is essentially fast food but healthy fast food! The cashier was super nice but one of the servers was actually quite rude. My husband is Deaf and we appreciated the cashiers efforts to help us but the other gal was simply not very nice! I wish I had gotten her name! We will go back and give it another try, maybe she was having a bad day…the food was so worth it!

It's been a while since we have been here but the chicken quesadilla was pretty good. The drive thru was a bit of a disappointment

Tortilla salad lettuce was old and wilted. Chicken and avocado burrito was good. Very busy. My fairly simple order took thirty minutes.

It's the second time I buy a chicken salad here and it BARELY has any chicken. The salad is good but what's the point of having a chicken salad if it only has a few little pieces of chicken. I don't know how to upload a picture on here otherwise I would. I didn't go back inside because I was so irritated and didn't want to be rude but never again will I stop here.

The women working there are extremely rude and incoptetent. Not to mention foul mouthed. For them to assume that it's okay to curse because they are doing it in Spanish and nobody will understand them speakers volumes of their lack of costumer services. I located the manages and explained my concerns. He went out of his way to remedy the situation; unfortunately it was 15 minutes from when I expected my food.

Very good experience with tacos al carbon. Chicken can be dry. Prices have increased considerably. Recommend asking to make sure you're not given dry chicken. A good alternative to burgers. Avocado salsa is very good but not as good as it used to be (less avocados?).

The chicken is delicious! They were busy but not too long of a wait. The main issue was we didn't get near enough of the green salsa. We asked for more and received a few more but most of the containers were less than half full. For the price you pay it seems like they could do better. I personally need the salsa.

I recently returned for my 2nd visit here and the food was good but they do not give much protein (chicken) in the bowls. I walked in the prep guy said something in Spanish to make the entire staff look to see who just walked in the door. Even the cook working the grill turned about from flipping the chicken to look. The cashiers back was to me and she says "oh ok" and starts laughing before turning to face me at the register. I must say this may have been because I'm not a match to the staff there or the area if you know what I mean. I planned on making this a weekly visit after the first try because the food was good in my opinion. Not sure now. I believe in a business, you dont make a customer feel unwelcome because of the ethnicity.

Food was decent, but not great. Service seemed ok, but why is this location not accepting my El Pollo Loco gift card?? The Gilroy location did, when I used it today.. The worker, however, did make the effort to type in the numbers on the back of the card. Maybe those workers in Gilroy care about actually giving good service 🤔 A little extra effort can go a long way.

Food is pretty good and the prices are reasonable. This location gets docked two stars because their salsa bar always needs help (i.e. either needs cleaning up or it needs to get filled) and they only have 1 register open at any time. I do not recommend coming here during the lunch rush because you'll be waiting a good amount of time to order and receive your food.

Mandatory kiosk usage. We don't frequent restaurants with them.

Located right off the freeway. Ordered food through the drive thru and service was fast. I ordered the chipotle chicken burrito, which was a good size. However, there were quite a few burned chicken pieces. I don't like the taste of burned chicken so I didn't finish the burrito.

If you go through the drive-through ALWAYS check your bag for your entire order. Last couple times I've gone I order at the window and my order isn't in the bag I'm always missing something. Same excuse every time is that she heard me order it but didn't press the button. Food is good though.

Not to ruffle anyone’s feathers, but if you’re looking for a fast food review of El Pollo Loco, you should probably just skip it. Can’t imagine who might read this review looking for outstanding food, but if you’ve made it this far, don’t chicken out! I’ll do my best to wing it without breaking a leg. First off, they have a cleaver for a door handle, which made me chuckle. I may like white meat, but I also love dark humor. The restaurant was clean and the staff were helpful. My gal had her feathers ruffled because it took a bit longer than normal to get our food(5 or 6 minutes total?) and just when I thought she flew the coop, our scratch arrived. One had to rank fast food on a fast food scale, so anyone expecting a Costco Rotisserie to be served should click their heels together and say Costco three times(which for $5.99, you’ll lose your head over THAT value!) But we weren’t at Costco and didn’t order a rotisserie chicken. We ordered chicken salads, and they didn’t taste like chicken sh*t. The lettuce was fresh, like it had been plucked from the fields that very afternoon. The chicken was tasty, so no one laid an egg. The avocado dressing was worth crowing at the sun over. All in all, a 3 out of 5 due to the food being overpriced by about 30% and me having to listen to my gal’s squawking for two extra minutes. 😜

Dirty salsa bar. Dirty tables. Condiments station missing everything!!! Not to mention they don’t even make crunchy tacos anymore? Horrible restaurant. Staff to busy talking and socializing behind the counter too clean up restaurant.

They left out my tortillas, I ordered beans, got no spoon.went back and got these, but now the dry, overcooked chicken was cold. Not a good dining experience.

Extremely busy which was not their fault. However the disorganization and lack of basic staples ( how do you not have green salsa???) shows that only new paint on walls but same poor service.

Great food...but... Drive thru is soooo slow. Don’t go on your one hour lunch break. I spent a good 20 minutes in line. When I finally drove up to the order screen I still waited 7 minutes before I was asked for my order.

It never fails every time I go to any El pollo loco they don't give me my order to me complete, ALWAYS they forget something at several locations now. This time was the avocado salad that was part of the 8 pcs family feast with mashed potatoes w/ gravy and coleslaw. I live about 30 minutes away from this Gilroy location, It wasn't noticed til I made it all the way home and sat down to eat with the wife that I noticed. I called the store number twice at @547pm, @548pm and got no answer 😒 I should've known better than to trust it was all there from experience. Decent food for what it was.

Customer service. Bad. Since the moment waiting on line. Witnessed how the customer in front of me being treated badly. . when I finally was helped. The employee was asking me like if I was wrong coming here. Cleanliness it was a clean. Bathroom different story.. Quality. I asked 4 diferent things 2 were correct the other 2 was not. Tye food was good, the service was kind of slow and the person at the drive thru kept interrupting me when placing my order. Also I asked for 3 cilantro dressings since I had a large order and yet I only got one.

Cant believe the cashier had to charge me a simple cup of ice like a regular drink. An other cashier didn't do this to me last time. Shouldn't all training be the same for all employees.

This review is solely based on Drive-thru personnel Giovanni. He is extremely RUDE, he is very unfriendly and works with a attitude. We went thru drive thru to order and he forgot to add the condiments for the soup and he forgot to give us plates. When we asked he handed them to us with carelessness and they almost fell. I understand our times right now are extremely vital with this pandemic we are all experiencing BUT, we don’t need people’s attitudes along with the other stresses we are all facing. He just shows a IDGAF attitude and we don’t need that. He should be lucky and happy he has a job while others simply do not because of “shelter in place”

Only giving one because the lady taking my order which I can tell was a manager because she decided to have a conversation with her co worker about how she messed up on her schedule and didnt even remember what I ordered had to ask me again. She needs to lay more attention the people buying your food that puts a paycheck in her pocket.

Super rude lady who was running the drive thru. She wouldn’t answer any questions I had about the food. And she gave me the wrong order, 11$ of my hard earned money to be treated like that. Quit your job if you don’t like it.

By far the worst burrito I’ve had. I walked into the restaurant and there was already a lady complaining about her wrong order. I order two chicken avocado burritos and suddenly I get this awful taste. So I inspected the burrito and the tomato seemed rotten or like it was a week past it’s expiration. Had to throw away both burritos that I purchased.

Waited over 45min in the drive through just to hear that they were out of several different items I was trying to order. Ended ordering something I didn’t really want after waiting so damn long. Not even an apology at the very least was given.. Will never spend a dime here or recommend my friends and family either.

Was going to use coupon for my only night to "treat" myself No go. Huge drink spills on table/floor near main door. Trash piled high in garbage can. Couple standing by register do a 5 minutes ordering then the gal gets sent out to get small change. Register read $74.00 back F this. Walked. Few inside but drive thru packed. Gets busy and the herd leaves a mess! Went back in a few minutes later; chairs all up and front staff shoveling garbage up: Bailed in disgust.

Pollo loco food is not what it used to be. Hadn’t been here in a while thought maybe this time the food would be better. It was not. We had the double chicken avocado salad. The dressing is seriously watered down, avocado was slightly brown and no cotija cheese at all. The chicken was dried out. Will not be coming to this location again. Don’t know what sauce they put on their chicken for the nachos but it is nasty.

So disappointed in this location. Constantly get orders wrong, hide dried out Chicken on the bottom. Don’t have the same problem at other locations. Also, the Asst mgr claims they no longer offer the family deal that was advertised at the drive through, she then handed us their adverting flyer with the deal, she said they no longer offer. We don’t go in since last couple times we did there were no clean tables. Don’t think we will even do the drive through. Sad!

Go to El Pollo Loco often order the chicken Avacado Burrito and most of the time very good. This one was by far the worst. Ordered to go and mostly cabbage only about 5 pieces of chicken. Think they need a new person to make their food. If it was my first time I would never go back. I don't usually complain. On freeway when realized what we had
