Always a good eat!!! Can be very busy sometimes but worth the wait

Great bagels, jalapeño bagel is my favorite although they are always busy their service is fast and accurate

the workers are just so kind and the food is fire if u need a quick bagel pull up here!!!!!

Enjoyed my lunch and the service was wonderful. The staff was friendly and fast preparing my sandwich will definitely visit again!

I have always been a doughnut kind of guy. I always thought bagels were basic. But my girlfriend introduced me to this place and wow! I'm a fiend for their honey cream cheese! Im so happy they have tubs of it for sale! I can't get enough! I'm eating a bagel as I write this!

I love this place so much. It's been a favorite of mine for about 10 years now. I can't pass through Gilroy without stopping here for a "The Works" breakfast bagel on wheat bagel. I don't care what time of day it is! I have to have it.

Best bagel shop we have ever been to and they load the spread on really well.

Bought a dozen delicious bagels. From my experience the service was fast and very friendly. Everyone had a smile and was willing to help. Will go back and would recommend to others. I have not yet had a bagel sandwich here so cannot comment on that.

Tried the Jacobs special on a jalapeño bagel. Very good, no complaints. Also theirs a Starbucks next door I thought about goin while my bagel was being prepared, didn't have to. House of Bagels fresh brews their own Gourmets Coffees. I got the hazelnut. Service speed was decent, quality of food and coffee was excellent

This is a locally owned bagel shop. It’s been in Gilroy for more than 10+ years. I moved out of Gilroy years ago, but every time I’m here for my dental visit, I stop by. I have to. This shop is serving the same bagels, same taste, same quality. For people complaining about the teenagers, yes, they’re teenagers. It is common in any places to see them on their phone and talking amongst themselves. Yet, I’ve had great experiences with many of them. They have been kind, friendly and helpful towards me and my baby. The owner is always smiling and grateful for his customers. He’s doing his best. Now, I love my pesto bagel. The bagels are fluffy and delicious. I’ve tried The Works, the sausage, egg & cheese, the turkey, tuna salad, and turkey club with bacon. My baby loves their sausage. The adolescents working will cut it up for her into pieces, which she loves. They serve coffee, apple juice, orange juice, energy drinks, and much more. They have many tables and chairs so you can eat inside or take it to go. Plus, there’s a bathroom. Lastly, they accept Apple Pay. I will gladly support a local business & buy my coffee here than the big corp. next door :)

This place had a tremendous amount of pressure on them and they didn’t even know it. It was my friend’s birthday and we decided to get bagels from here. My friend is not one to make a big deal about his birthday, but at the same time he wanted it to be somewhat special. I get that, but I feel like birthdays should be even more special for the one’s that did the birthing. Moms’ did all the heavy lifting that day, while the babies’ just whined the whole time. On birthdays we celebrate a person that doesn’t even remember their birth day. I’m sure all the mommas’ remember that day, most of them probably couldn’t forget it even if they tried. Instead of just getting my friend a gift, I should have got something for his mom too. Regardless of all that, I still wanted him to have a special birthday. House of Bagels was somewhat responsible for setting the tone for the birthday and they did a great job at that. We got our food quickly and the staff was very friendly. It’s as if they already knew it was his birthday or they just treat every customer like it’s their birthday. To make matters better, the bagels were delicious! Bagels at House of Bagels was a great way to start off the birthday.

Love the food and the owners. They make their own Bagels in house. Super Fresh. Warm chewy good full flavor no gimmicks. The sandwich menu has some good selections on it. For example, the hot ham and cheese uses good quality ham - not the cheap boiled wet ham that a lot of places use. The chicken curry cashew is also really good selection. Mild curry dressing with crunchy cashews added. The flavors and the contrast in crunchy and smooth makes for a very filling and satisfying sandwich. Prices are about what you would expect for a bagel place. Five or six bucks for sandwiches couple bucks for toasted bagel with butter and jam. They also have breakfast sandwiches and you can get your usual bacon and egg bagel sandwich or ham and egg and so forth. It gets very busy on weekend mornings so plan accordingly.

Love this place! The new buzzer system not so much. They gave my order to someone else. I had to wait forever and a day! But in the end, delicious!

Max runs a very friendly store and makes great flavors, and has great staff and process to deliver what you order quickly.

The other time was today. I ordered a sausage, 3gg and cheese and received a bacon, egg, and cheese. I am the car dealership waiting for my car to be maintained. But still the best bagels. Why don't they mess up when I am eating there?

A decent bagel shop. 3 times now I’ve ordered a club sandwich. Upon coming home, no bacon! They really need to train their staff better.

Good bagels but un my last visit, I did'nt want a soda but a asked for a cup for just water and they charged me like a regular soda. No good!!!

Just wish I saw more cleanliness, also kind of skimping on toppings lately. I asked for cucumber and capers and was given 5 capers and three thin slices of cucumber. Lol.

I really used to LOVE their bagels & sandwiches, but it seems they've gotten almost all new employee's and since then the sandwiches have become VERY skimpy which is highly disappointing. Also, calling to place an order over the phone is always a nightmare. I usually can't get through to anyone because the phone seems to be disconnected or nobody answers.

I had to go to work hungry cause no one would acknowledge me, I was the only person in line and 1 of 2 customers in the building

I will start with the one positive thing. The people that work there seem to be nice. I have been in this bagel shop 3 times. I really feel like I have dodge a bullet. Like I had a revolver against my temple with 1 bullet in it, spun the chamber and got lucky as I clicked it off 3 times. Each of the 3 times I entered I noticed a number of things wrong. There are problems in the back area, the prep area, the dining area and the bathrooms. The back area, like the rest of the establishment, is cluttered with needless junk. On one of my lunch breaks I went in and saw ham and cheese sitting outside of the cooler on a cheep rolling cart when I walked in. I stayed for 25 minutes as I ate my bagel and when I left the meet and cheese were still sitting on the same cart. Besides the general mess all over, in the front prep area there are four stacks of bagel baking racks filled with baking sheets. One of the stacks is stuffed with papers calculators, pens, old cups of coffee, and just other random $#!t that shouldn't be there. I then looked around. There is random stacks of papers in ever corner of the prep area, as if they just use any place for an office. Every table in the front area is dirty. The floors are dirty. I wanted some pepper, but there was dried mayo and mustard crusted on the top of the shaker that must have been there for days, weeks or months, NOT hours. The bathroom was the worst. I am a guy, so when we pee we lift the toilet seat so we don't go on the toilet seat. When I lifted the toilet seat there was (new and old) blood stains with pubic hair matted in. I noticed fecal matter had dried and crusted on under the edge of the toilet where the water drains. This thing hadn't been cleaned for months !!! The floor was nasty, and this was the place where the staff comes to use the toilet and wash their hands !!! Even the front sign of this place is run down and pealing off. On my way out I tried to kindly explain these issues and the owner said thank you and walked away. Well I hope I don't die, because I just ate there today and you never know what could happen. If I do not die, I will definitely not risk my fate with another round of Russian Roulette.

These employees need to be trained on what no means on the directions on the food. I didn't realize we had to put no to cream cheese and no to hummus substitute but also write hummus allergy. If we put we don't want something it doesn't mean to argue with your customer about what that actually means!

Good food, but I do not recommend working here I got yelled at more then any other job. Very stressful environment. On my last day was told to get something from the freezer and boxes fell on me and I got forgot about for 5 to ten minutes I was stuck in there.

The bagels aren't really anything special I guess I was expecting them to taste better I could have just bought bagels from the store they would have tasted better

Paid +$6 plus a generous tip for ONE lousy piece of bacon cut in half in my breakfast sandwich. First time trying this place & never going back again.

I order food from this store every now and then. Normally the service at this store is great. 5 stars. However today was a 1 star. I would give negative is i have the option. I ordered through phone and showed up to pay for my bagel cream cheese. It was a bit after 10 am and the store was calm. No one in line, two or three orders being made, and three customers eating in the store. I walked up to the resister and waited. No one greeted me even after a minute or two went by. They all looked busy so i continued to wait. At this time another customer walked in to the other register and was helped immediately. When it was my turn I asked if I was at the wring register. The cashier nonchalantly said sorry. Nothing else was said about what just happened. I paid for my food and left. I really hope this was a one off thing because normal service is excellent.
