Wonderful korean bbq dining experience. I think this is one of the top spots to eat in the sacramento area. The food is always delicious. I love all of the side dishes they include, but the meat is definitely the star of the show. This is a great spot to take a group. I would recommend anywhere from 4-6 people.

I lived in Seoul for a few years...this place on sunrise is better than any of the places I've been in Seoul or California. The quality of their meat is fantastic and I don't think I've had better bulgogi anywhere. The ponchon dishes and fried version of dokpoki are fantastic and whether you like Korean food or not I can't imagine anyone being less than satisfied eating here. I've brought dozens of people to this place, and every single person communicated basically the same thing- this place is amazing!

Great experience!! This was the first time we have visited Korean Barbeque. Amazing hospitality, our server helped us alot with our selection. Meat was fresh, tastes great. It was little pricy but, the experience pays off.

Wow. Such a gem. Our first time visit on a Saturdayafternoon. So we asked multiple questions to our waitress. She did well in explaining everything about the process. We 4 had the unlimited, $36/person. 3 meat and 3 sides at a time. Total, we had 3 orders of the meat and sides. As the place got busier, our waitress became less available but a man who seemed to be the manager or owner stepped up the service himself along with other employees helping too. We will definitely return

Amazing food and amazing service!! Loved the variety and was blown away by the experience. Definitely would recommend Gangnam Ave. and we will be coming back for sure! $32.99 for all you can eat, if you want all the meat choices. The cheese corn is actually really good, the steak is obviously delicious, as well as the Cajun chicken.

A five star experience! The ambience is casual and the air is thick with savory and spicy aromas. This is definitely a place to go with a group. Four to five people per table may work best. More people can be accommodated, but the wait will be longer. After sampling many of the items I can say the overall food quality did not disappoint. The service staff was very busy, but was always courteous and kept the orders coming. One tip - you'll smell like you've been cooking all day when you leave, keep that in mind if you're going somewhere after dinner.

I did a reservation the day before for 4 people, so they had a table ready within 10 minutes of the group arriving. I would recommend calling ahead since the wait seemed a bit long when we arrived. The one downside to this place is that they don’t have any dry dipping seasonings.

The meats provided for the grill were very good and tender. The shrimp was okay. Spicy pork belly and prime steak were yummy. Our server seemed to hate us. She barely talked to us. She did not help out with the menu. We did not quite get what we expected for the first order of meat. We ordered better the second time, still with no help. The side dishes of kimchi, etc. Were good. However, we will not be going back.

The female at the reception should not be greeting customers. They are rude and not the best representative. The server was friendly. The food was decent but the ramen tasted and looked like top ramen. The soju was ridiculously priced at $15 for a bottle that normally costs $5.99.

Sometimes, a little thing in a restaurant will change the dining experience. I have enjoyed the food at Gangnam Ave many times before. I have to wait for a table for more than an hour a few times. I never get upset with their service. But I really have to say I got upset with the lady in charge of the seating. She may be the owner or has been working there for a long time. The restaurant was busy but not full when we were there. So we have a table ready for us in a minute after signing in. However, the lady led us to the table in front of the restroom, even though more tables were available. We requested another table at the farther end of the dining room, but she said it was unavailable. She can only move us to the table next to the one near the restroom. Okay! It is better than the one near the restroom. We take it. However, she turned around and assigned the table we had requested earlier to the party behind us, which had the same number of customers as we had in just a minute. So, we got a table in the middle of the busy dining room just because we came first. I don't know what's wrong of their table assignment procedure. But the result is that I can’t enjoy my food very well this time. Gangnam Ave is a busy restaurant that may not care about one customer. But you will turn your customers away if you keep doing crap like this!

I love this kbbq spot! However, I find the service not really good especially the OLD ASIAN LADY she is sooooo rude. Takes time to take the next order of meat. I don’t if she doesn’t like serving tables but if she is going to have that attitude might as well find something else to do please you are dragging Gangnam down. Thanks

It was a slow night. The staff were ok and the environment was nice. The food on the other hand was plain. I couldn’t believe how plain it is. There was no flavor. From the assorted meats to the side dishes they had no flavor. The only thing that tasted good was the marinated short ribs. They actually had some sort of different flavor. Even mixing the meat with kimchi or pickled cucumbers there was no flavor. Such a sad thing since the meat looked so good.

Service is rude and unenjoyable to interact with and the shrimp was very fishy. After reading through these reviews i see a very common denominator. The older woman, presumably the owner, is the only problem with this restaurant. She doesn’t greet people welcomingly, and while taking orders she starts off already annoyed and she wears it on her sleeve. I had a very large party and we all agreed that the service isnt worth the food. I dont want to come spend my money to be treated like a child while ordering. This place could easily have a 5 star if it wasnt for that older womans unprofessionalism!!! Just read the reviews and youll see what i mean.
