Quiet, relaxed meal. Had the filet mignon, it was delish! Had the cheese cake and that was very good too. Definitely will be back next time im in town.
Zinfandel Cuisine is nothing short of exceptional. The moment you walk in, the air is filled with the mouthwatering scent of freshly made dishes, setting the stage for an unforgettable meal. Mario, the owner, has a way of making every guest feel like a longtime friend—his warmth and genuine hospitality are rare. The atmosphere is spot on, with just the right blend of energy and comfort, and the music adds to the charm without overpowering conversation. The food? Fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with passion. Every detail, from the friendly service to the welcoming vibe, makes this place stand out. I’ve found my go-to spot and will be back with my family, time and time again!
I really liked the overall ambiance of this restaurant. I initially wanted to give this restaurant a 3 halfway through dinner but they ended up really making up for lots in the end. The food wasn't bad. We started with the Carpaccio. We both agreed it was good, maybe just a few less capers. I had the Filet Mignon and the fiancé had the rack of lamb. The proteins were flavorful but my mash lacked flavor and so did the fiancé's rice pilaf. Overall we were both happy with our choices. The waiter made sure our waters and wine were filled which was nice. They have a nice full bar with a tv near by. Kind of unique setting. The outdoor patio was nice for the more casual. The bar area was almost separated from the main dining area which is cool in case someone gets over excited about the games. They also have booth and table options as well. At the end of dinner the waiter asked if we wanted dessert, we asked what they had and he said, 'I'm not sure'. We chuckled but he came back with a complete memorIzed list. We were both in agreement that the restaurant was a 3 star until the desert came. We chose the chocolate lava cake. Even though there wasn't any lava it was delicious! To our surprise our waiter came with a small sample sized glass of red wine to pair with it. We loved it! Not sure what exactly it was but it's rare where an employee goes above and beyond to make sure your enjoying your experience! We will be back for sure! PROS -Great variety on the menu -Plenty of parking -Nice sized patio -Full bar -Attentive staff CONS -Lighting is almost too dim -Gives off an Italian feel but playing Spanish music (although I love Spanish music it just didn't mesh) -No one really greets you when you walk in -The sign outside advertisers half off appetizers (but doesn't state from 2pm-6pm) -The decor is older
The best meal I have had out to eat in a very long time! I had the special sea bass and it was delicious and my boyfriend had the lamb chops and said they were the best he has had. Mushroom salad is something you have to try! Service was great and love that it is family owned, cause you are treated like family. We will definitely be regulars!!!
The food was amazing . Very personal service. I had Ricotta ravioli. Mom had Lamb chops and Gramma had filet mignon. All of which were perfect .
The best Italian restaurant you’ll find in the Sacramento Area, by FAR. Worth every penny! So delicious, we forgot to take a pictures of the main course! Zinfandel is my family’s favorite restaurant. We have been here numerous times and they never fail to impress. The atmosphere is outstanding and the food is out of this world! Comfortable, luxury, and welcoming; this restaurant brings a new meaning to comfort food. Mario and his staff are ever-present, conscientious, and attentive. The food is always served hot, perfectly balanced, and mouth-wateringly flavorful! Every dish on the menu is perfectly crafted and delectable. Prepare for a heart-warming meal-of-the-year that will leave you excited for your next visit! P.S. keep an eye out for their star regulars: Ralley and Pepé- they’ll leave a smile on your face for the rest of the night!
best place for amazing food n drinks! Mario & Staff are always on point! Highly recommend!

Classy little restaurant. Cozy atmosphere, delicious food, knowledgeable and friendly staff. Highly recommended!
Great food and service. A nice wine list and a few draft beers are also available. There might even be a nice surprise that you weren’t expecting. Also, prices are very reasonable. Just a nice place for a nice meal
This restaurant is highly recommended. The service is impeccable. The food is excellent. Great ambiance. Friendly staff. We will be back for sure!
Great restaurant. Delicious food. Very nice staff. We were not rushed and had a leisurely lunch and could talk without interruption. We both had good food wine and a very pleasant afternoon
This is an amazing place to have a meal! Not only is the menu creative and full of tasty classic dishes, the wine menu was extensive and of the highest quality. The service was excellent and we were offered various wine tastings along with a whole list of specials. My mother wanted sangria and they didn’t have any but the waiter found a wine she liked even better! We were treated like royalty and I cannot wait to have a meal here again!
This was the first time visiting based on a recommendation. We order two pizzas and seafood pasta. All the food was a good sized portion and delicious! The wines were fantastic. It was a quieter time when we were there, so not busy and the staff was very polite.

Very friendly restaurant with a spacious interior and reasonable prices. The reviews of this place are wide-ranging so I wasn't sure what to expect when dining here. Food: Get the pasta as the main entree. Good quality and fresh. Really enjoyed the salad, soup du jour, polenta tort, pappardelle chicken, and spinach chicken roll. The warm fresh bread is also a delight (although their butter doesn't spread easily since it's too chilled) Pizza, pork chop, and seabass were mediocre; however, like I mentioned, go here for their pasta. For dessert, we had the chocolate mousse cake. In my opinion, it was just too dense and it felt like the mousse was sticking to my mouth and throat. Wished it had been lighter. The staff are exceedingly friendly and the dining establishment feels classy and warm with a dim interior and beautiful napkins and plating.
Love going to local spots and this one did not disappoint. The service was great the drinks were strong and the food was delicious. It is a quiet little place with a nice atmosphere and a spacious patio.

We stopped into Zinfandel California Cuisine around 1:00 PM on a Wednesday, mid-summer. The place was quiet—likely because not many people are thinking about pasta in the early afternoon heat—but that made for a calm, relaxing atmosphere. We were in and out in about 30 minutes, so service was efficient without feeling rushed. We were initially drawn in by a big sign outside advertising half-off appetizers and pizzas, but unfortunately, that deal is no longer offered. A bit of a letdown, so definitely double-check if you’re going in for promos. We ordered: Kid’s cheese pizza – $10 Fusilli pasta with pesto, broccoli, carrots, and cauliflower Fresh house bread (we had to ask for more—it was that good) The pizza was a mixed bag: I personally didn’t love it—too cheesy and not enough dough for my liking—but my friend genuinely enjoyed it and would order it again. The pasta was fresh, flavorful, and cooked just right. Watching the staff prep ingredients in the open kitchen added a nice touch of transparency and freshness to the experience. Service stood out—our waiter was funny, friendly, and helpful. Food came out quickly, but not at the cost of quality. The bread especially deserves a shoutout—freshly baked, warm, and comforting. Total was $28 after tax, which felt fair for the portion and quality. Overall, it’s a cozy spot with great service and a chill vibe. Probably livelier on weekends or during dinner hours, but still worth a visit—just don’t go chasing that sign out front.

Good place, not a bad place, decent food options with friendly staff. So why the 4 stars? With only 4 parties in the entire restaurant, it took us over 40 min to get our food after we ordered it. I had the seabass special, highly recommend it. Flaky pieces of fish, swimming in seasoning. Pros: - Friendly and attentive staff - Variety of food options - atmosphere is wonderful: inviting, warm, people are clearly enjoying themselves. Cons: - Wait time for food - Ordered a drink and never got it, but they also didn't charge us.
I think this place could be a real nice place if someone could pay attention to the detail like washing the deck where we now eat ,wiping down tables before someone seats at them. The calamary was excelent the other 3 dishes (see pictures) were ok taste wise. The plates were hot, food looked appealing but i cant fathom tasting tuna with a residue of tap water or a salmon that was overcooked. The sauces that came with the calamary were delicious, calamary was light and crispy loved it.

We took some dear friends here and were sadly disappointed by this restaurant. Our guests enjoyed their food but my husband and I recognized a few things. 1) Don't get the pork chop. It was tasteless and so overcooked. Good portion but a good portion of disappointment. 2) the caprese salad was without a key ingredient, basil. Rather is was mozzarella and tomatoes on a bed of spring mix. 3) There are boxes stacked in front of the main counter that make the place look contrary to the level with which the restaurant wants to charge for its food and ambience. Overall, we won't be going here again and can not recommend this to anyone.

Such promise. Sadly poor service, Was intrigued by the menu and the wine list. But we’re fully underwhelmed by the experience. Friday evening. Medium crowd. Tables available. Arrived with a reservation and seated promptly. Told the bread was “in the oven.” Ten minutes passes before they take our drink order. Order a specific bottle of wine from the menu. Served a different bottle of the same varietal but that was not called out. Ten minutes later bread is served. Boring white bread - nothing special. Ten more minutes (30 minutes since seating), they take food order — One appetizer (Carpaccio) and two entrees (Meatloaf and Filet Mignon). Ten more minutes passes before and we are told they are out of meatloaf. Order pork chop instead. Ten minutes afterward Carpaccio arrives. Is delicious. 5 stars. More bread brought. 75 minutes afterward Carpaccio arrives being seated and 45 minutes after initially ordering, entrees are served. They tell us hot plate but this is ridiculous. Need to let food and plates sit for another ten minutes to make food cool enough to digest without scalding the esophagus. The food is delicious, though. One of the staff recognizes our ordeal and tries to make up for it with a free desert and port. The effort is appreciated. Both desert and port are good. So much potential. They just need a front of house manager to keep the great food flowing. Hoping it was just a bad night. We will try again, but probably not for a while.
Good for groups. An understandable and not particularly inspired menu. The chicken sandwich has a decent portion of meat on it. Sweet potato fries were soggy and cold. Skip the pizza. Service is just fine. The decor is in need of an update - very 90s - and not in a good way.
