This is my favorite donut shop. The place is impeccably clean. The donuts are always fresh and make me melt. No skimping on the toppings either. They double dip the donuts in the icing. The jelly fillled are really filled full.

Kind Asian man took our order. Their donuts are amazing I get them whenever I'm in Rancho Cordova. Unfortunately if you don't make it super early they sell out of their donut holes which are amazing

This donut shop is the only one I care to visit in my neighborhood. It's everything you expect a donut shop should have, coffee and a large selection of donuts. There is one closer to where I live, Alan's donuts, but they are awful. They have a poor selection of donuts and seem to be out or have a very small verity the 5 times I've visited them. Donut King has it all. It's always stocked no matter what time of day. Great tasting donuts with the right amount of frosting. I drive out of my way for this place and so should you!

This spot has been a go to for forever. Nice people. My fave is the jalapeño and cheese croissant. Go early to snag one!

These donuts are consistently fresh and delicious. Their blueberry filled donut is one of the best I’ve had in my life. SO good! Service is very friendly. You should not miss this place if you live in the area. If not for location. I would say five stars for all categories.

Donuts are fine - but the staff is pretty inattentive and rude. Talking on cell phone while taking order and not talking to the customer. Always homeless right outside door with pants down… the environment of a food service place matters.

**2022 UPDATE** The Customer service is always TRASH!! They literally don't even say anything until you PAY, then maybe the person will LOOK at you.. That's it! But.. The Donuts are still Super GOOD! Sooo.. It's really up to you.. How badly do you want a Donut? Lol.

Wasn't open when it was supposed to be with no notice on the door or anything. This was according to the hours posted on the window, not mistaken hours on Google or something. Just left me confused.

THIRD RATE DONUTS IN RANCHO Donuts seem stale/old. Asked guy to give me fresh ones from the racks and racks of fresh donuts behind him. He refused and would only sell me ones from the few in the case. I told him I understood if some were still too hot /fragile to handle so I asked him for any of the ones that were ready. He refused and insisted that the ones in the case were fresh. WHEN I GO TO A DONUT SHOP AT 4:45 AM I WANT FRESH DONUTS. The Donut King guy can save his "these are fresh" bullshit for someone else because I won't be coming back. I left without any donuts. Either of the two other doughnut places in Rancho are better than these "City" donuts.

Gloomy shop. Was met with a sarcastic worker who would tap on donut tag as if to say " look at the tag and that will tell you" even though that had nothing to do with the question. He would then put in crumpled donuts in the box. I'd get better service from zombies. Didn't matter because the donuts were average and filled donuts had dots for filling. Note that this is under new management so maybe they need time to live up to the previous owners game instead of riding on the Donut King name for business. Best bet is to go elsewhere.

Sadly that's the atmosphere 8 times out of 10. They obviously have no passion for what they do.

I went down the street and used my atm card chip down the street and it worked, no issue. Bring cash.

used to be better donuts with good selection, thicker frosting, and nice customer service... New service people are rude, donuts seem day old and not fresh and frosting is so thin it cracks.

This place must have changed ownership, ridiculous that at 1030 am on a Saturday your down to only a few donuts and to top this off your price went way up to $2.25 per donut. Are you kidding me, greedy and thoughtless. We will never shop here again.

I'm never coming here again. I've given this place too many chances. I found a hair in my doughnut, and I realized they are never wearing hair nets. I still came back, every time I said hello/how are you. They would ignore me and pretend not to hear, OR look disgusted that I would ask such a thing.

Google maps says they're open till 2:00 p.m. on Sunday. We drove pretty far to get there and arrived at 1:45 p.m. and they were closed. Not cool

Staff is not very happy. Too queit and act like they don't want to be there. Went there again and they opened 15 minutes late, donut case was nearly empty. Would not let me get fresh donut from the large rack full. Told me I can only get from the case which was empty. Never going again.

Since the nephew took over, quality has gone down hill, and nothing to choose from by 10 am. Better off going somewhere else. This once great donut shop is no more. Apple fritters are overcooked and greasy. The nephew doesn’t care and neither should you.
