For the sake of fairness, I'm revising the review, but I'm leaving it below due to the price issue, which I didn't like at all. The fruit tart was very, very good and beautiful. I made a great impression bringing it to friends. It's unfair to leave 1 star. —— I called yesterday to find out the approximate price of a cake, a tart with cream and fruit. I had called other bakeries specifically to find out the price, and this was the cheapest, and I knew it was good anyway. They told me that the cake for 4 people costs €13, so the one for 8 people that I wanted would have cost double (according to them, less than €30). So I asked them to make me one for 10 people, just to be on the safe side (which would have cost around €30). Today I go to pick up the cake and discover that it's very (very) rich in fruit, that the final price is €30 per kilo, and that it costs me a whopping €44! Pretty much what other bakeries told me. I find it deeply wrong to buy a cake where I pay for a lot of fruit at €30 a kilo. I called to complain about it and haven't eaten the cake yet, which I'm probably, in fact, sure will be delicious. But that's not the problem: I don't like this way of treating customers. Plus, I paid a really high price for a lot of fruit. Not very fair.

Much more than just a bakery, this place offers excellent focaccias, plain or stuffed, for purchase and consumption on the spot. I believe they are Zoppis's true strength: the dough is light, fragrant, and easily digestible, but above all, they are prepared with a myriad of fillings. I tried the one with roast beef, arugula, and parmesan, the one with pesto, mozzarella, and cherry tomatoes, and the one with lard and rosemary... excellent! You can also enjoy an aperitivo with wines, cocktails, and platters of mixed focaccias. The pastry selection, with cakes and pastries, also looks interesting. I took home a rye bread with raisins, figs, and walnuts—it was truly delicious. The place is large, very popular, and a little noisy. The prices are reasonable.

Coffee was very delicious. we tried their normal and marmalade croissants. The Italian style is more a cakey soft texture rather the flaky French croissants. Delicious and recommend. They also have amazing focaccia sandwhiches!

Modern, clean and delicious sit down bakery and cafe! Loved the sandwiches and the focaccia is not greasy - it’s light and crunchy! Little miscommunication around the coffee but that was more my fault because I don’t speak Italian. We will be back!

Panetteria ottima. Per la colazione invece una disorganizzazione da terzo mondo. Lentissime e oggettivamente imbranate . Qualità delle brioches … scarsa . Tanta apparenza ma alla fine poca sostanza.

I'd like to express my dissatisfaction with the experience I had at Panetteria Zoppis last night, in relation to the recommendation I received as a place for nightlife/aperitifs. I've also seen excellent reviews, but I'd only been here for a few breakfasts, and I must admit they were gratifying. In that context, an excellent aperitif spot just ahead was closed for a shift. The experience was bitterly disappointing, with a perceived lack of professionalism on the part of the staff, despite recognizing the politeness and kindness of the staff. Rather than being a relaxing pre-dinner spot, I found it extremely crowded, and that could have been a positive thing if it hadn't been for mostly shouting workers, venting their professional discontent of the day, shouting and making a racket, I think. Considered a vaunted VIP venue, perhaps some background music should be played to dampen the noise of the train station after-work parties. I ask for a table in the small room on the left to avoid the usual chaos. The unprofessional but very kind staff invites me to sit down first, and I bring a receipt, just like at a village festival or a service station. I specifically ask for little or no ice, given my sensitive teeth. I get a questionable Spritz. For someone who lives in Padua, if you can't be a bartender, become a baker, for which you are also highly respected. Or take an AIB course. I think it's helpful. I think it's a scam because the 60% ice doesn't give much space to the drink. They also don't use ice, which would mix it, and it would prevent the two-tone orange effect on the bottom, making it transparent. Ridiculous. And on top of that, you promised me little or no ice, but since it doesn't make any money, it needs to be refilled. I don't dispute the price, even though Spritzes, worthy of their name, can be had for the same price in Piazza Motta, in Orta as in Arona, and accompanied by a small platter, without the shouting of a cattle market. The drinks are accompanied by a plate with four pieces of broken flatbread and some kind of tarallo, and maybe some chips. SHAMEFUL, I ask if the birdseed and flatbread accompany the aperitif. She says, "Yes, that's it, why?" I send it back. This woman, with a foreign accent, looks at me and says, "So you're really not hungry." She wasn't even capable of understanding my dissent. I imagine they're cheap. I would have had a bologna at the LIDL across the street, it costs a few euros, an unworthy presentation, a mockery, a dish like that could be quoted by Silvio Pellico. The much-lauded bakery doesn't have any leftovers from even several days' worth of pizza, a focaccia, or, if you want to save money, two ice cubes of Edemer and two slices of Bolognino, which are price-breaking considering the volume of ice. Humiliating, I also feel sorry for whoever recommended such a place. If the VIP Movida in the rich land of tap entrepreneurship is disappointing, perhaps it's better to go to the local clubs. They're well-prepared and serve a decent aperitif at a good value. I HOPE THIS JUST HAPPENED TO ME. AVOID IT.
