The most amazing beach. The room was large and modern. Absolutely loved the view and the service here is one of the best. Everybody is friendly and so helpful. My dad injured foot during a island trip and kimpton sent people to room to provide medical aid in cleaning injury.
This was not our first day at Kimpton resort. It has been open for almost 10 years and still produces a five star product. Avo restaurant had delicious dinner and daily breakfast spread had plenty of variety. What I will remember from this stay is excellent. It was a service with a smile across-the-board.. Thank you Kimpton staff for excellent experience. This is why I would like to return again and again.
This was our first couples visit to Cayman Islands. We did research on Kimpton, Ritz, Palm Heights and eventually settled on Kimpton due to the location, restaurants, and couples retreat. LOCATION (10/10): Right smack in the middle of 7 mile beach with pristine blue turquoise waters. The sand was soft and the water was very clear. This is probably one of the best beaches I’ve been to so far. FOOD / BREAKFAST (10/10): Great options both for buffet and ala carte options. Fresh fruits, eggs/omelettes, variety of breads, and local dishes were available. Amex Platinum offered free breakfast for two of us and this was our best meal of the day. FOOD / LUNCH & DINNER (9/10): outside of breakfast, the options for a vegetarian were limited but we tried whatever was available and found it to be reasonable. One of the days, we took a cab to the city center and were able to get a good meal. LOCATION (10/10): Island is not that big so it is easy to get around which was great. We were able to get out couple of times but missed shopping day as the malls are closed on Sundays. DRINKS (10/10): Library by the sea offered great and unique cocktails and this place is rated as one of the best bars in North America. We had couple of unique cocktails based on books and the overall experience was very good. All their margs were made from Fortaleza Tequila which I felt was a good touch. One of the evenings we went to Pom Poms at Hotel Indigo for dinner and sunset and the experience was good. We realized while Indigo is also on 7 mile beach, the guests have to take golf cart or walk for 5-10 mins to get to the beach which we felt would have been inconvenient vs Kimpton which was right on the beach. Overall experience: mid 9s out of 10. We expect to be back to the Island and may try Palm Heights or Kimpton again next time.
This hotel was beautiful. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I loved the aesthetic. The rooms are spacious and had really amazing views of the ocean. This was basically a beachfront hotel with many activities. We ate at the different restaurants and I enjoyed almost everything. There are so many things to do and the spa was amazing! The almond croissant was DELICIOUS! The hotel was in a great location, close to everything.
Best resort on the island. ... And we looked at all of them, especially after arriving. Considering the cost, the rooms are not what you would expect. But the resort is beautiful and incredible. We never encountered a staff member who wasn't nice and helpful, respectful and who went out of their way to help. The pool happened to he shut down for maintenance from the day after we arrived to the night before we left and mgmt as a gesture, removed most of the resort fees. Absolutely gorgeous and amazing!!!!
I cannot speak on the value proposition of this hotel, but in terms of quality of stay, it was through the roof. The staff was always extremely friendly, and there were so many nice touches that made the stay amazing. The room was also extremely modern and clean, with minimal scuff marks. Elevators were fast, and the breakfast was genuinely good. Definitely would stay here again. Shout out to the bartenders by the pool! I will say, it is definitely hot during the summer and that’s one thing to take note of. There was plenty of water and shade though which made it not an issue. I definitely wish there were less kids though. Obviously that’s not really something the hotel can control but they were definitely abundant.
Highly Recommend – We’ll Definitely Be Back This was our family’s second stay at Kimpton Seafire, and once again it exceeded our expectations. Our first visit a few years ago was just as memorable, and this time was no different. The resort is spotless, never feels overcrowded, and offers plenty of activities such as kayaking, paddle boarding, and yoga. The complimentary coffee in the mornings and wine in the evenings are such thoughtful touches that make the stay even more enjoyable. The staff are warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive. We highly recommend Kimpton Seafire and look forward to returning again.
We only stayed for a night BUT IT WAS EVERYTHING!!!!!!! Wished we stayed longer here. Bring a water bottle they have filtered water everywhere so convenient. If you don’t have an ocean front ( we didn’t) you get to see the sunrise. I loved my float and you can do some water activities for free!
We had an excellent stay from start to finish! I want to take a moment and highlight PHENOMENAL service from Kadian at the Front Desk. She went above and beyond for my group to ensure we were comfortable and happy with our stay!
Didn’t expect it to be this good. From the minute we rolled up, everything just flowed. Easy check-in, friendly staff, zero hassle. Room was unreal. Ocean views that didn’t need a filter and sunsets that kind of made you stop and rethink a few things. (In a good way.) Everyone we dealt with was solid. Concierge handled everything like it was already done. No chasing, no drama. Just smooth. The whole place has that quiet kind of luxury… like it’s not trying to impress you, but it does anyway. Every detail felt dialed in. Let’s just say—if you’re reading this wondering if it’s worth it… it is.
From the very first “hello” at Kimpton Seafire to our last wave goodbye, we were blown away by the kindness and energy of the staff. Every single person we met was like a hospitality superhero—friendly, helpful, and genuinely happy to make our stay amazing. The resort itself? Absolutely gorgeous. We booked an ocean view room, but honestly, it felt like we were right on the water—front row seats to paradise. The grounds are straight out of a postcard: lush, vibrant, and perfectly manicured. Major bonus points for being super eco-friendly! Not a plastic cup in sight, and we’re still using the refillable bottles they gave us (souvenirs with a purpose!). And the toiletries? Spa-level fabulous. We came for scuba diving, so dinners were a little more casual—we didn’t make it to Ave or Avecita, but we did dine at Coccoloba twice and it was great. Breakfast at Ave was also a winner—delicious and fresh every time. Yes, the Kimpton on Grand Cayman is a bit of a splurge, but worth every penny!
My stay at the Kimpton was incredible. The quality of service and kindness displayed from the staff has been comparable to none. Beautiful beach and crystal clear water. Food, while a quite expensive, was absolutely delicious. And special shout out to MVP Chef Mariyon at the breakfast Buffett making the best omelettes!!! Guy works non stop manning 4-5 pans at a time. I lose track of 1 😂
My family and I had a very memorable vacation at the Kimpton Seafire. This is by far and away the most family friendly resort we have experienced. The resort staff went above and beyond to make sure we felt at home and valued resort guests. Our concierge, Dana, was very communicative, helpful and gave great advice/assistance organizing all the activities we wanted to do. The on-site restaurants and bars were fantastic. The beach is amazing as is the pool and the splash pad is a great spot for kids. We can’t wait to come visit again!
Book at the Kimpton sea fire when visiting Grand Cayman, you won’t regret it! My husband and I went in March with the two kids and this was best resort experience. It’s very clean, family friendly, beautiful resort. The customer service is outstanding!! They really take care of every detail to ensure your stay is the best. I especially loved the amazing breakfast buffet, the most incredible spread every day! Shout out to chef Mariyon at the omelette station, sooo good!!! The management staff was very attentive to any questions and checked in on us a couple times during our stay to ensure we had everything we needed. The cleaning staff did a fantastic job of keeping our room clean. The beach front is stunning! That water is crystal clear and white powdery sand! Check out the Mexican restaurant right on the beach! Highly recommend a visit to stingray city and star fish island. Thanks for incredible stay! We’ll be back again!
A fantastic hotel experience, most likely one of the finest in Grand Cayman. The rooms were great, the pool and beach area were very nice. Would highly recommend if you can stay at a good rate.
Absolutely amazing in every way! Location, resort facilities, food, service, etc. Only one minor complaint: resort fee does not cover paddle boards, etc. Might just be because the water sports are run by Red Sail. I would 100% come back to the Seafire!!!!
Everything about my and my family's experience was exceptional. I've been to other resorts and villas around the islands in the Caribbeans - Turks and Caicos, Bermuda - and the Seafire was by far the most impressive. The staff is thoughtful, welcoming, and approachable. --Rischa, working the front desk, made my entire family feel so welcomed from check-in to check-out. She went above and beyond, forming relationship with us all, especially my kids. --Tom, who works at the Library (i.e., bar lounge in the resort), was knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the special drinks. He was very thoughtful in offering a piece of white chocolate for my daughter because there was a piece of white chocolate that comes with one of the drinks, which contains peanut butter, and after my having mentioned she had peanut allergies prior to ordering, he remembered and brought over the chocolate without my asking. --Kim, who works as a hostess for Ave/Avecita, was also very welcoming and friendly. She and the rest of the staff provided small comforts for my children. In short, I am going back to Seafire again next year simply because of the staff and the service. I loved the daily Happy Hour in the lobby that provides drinks and snacks for adults and kids. I loved the sunscreen and iced water that are provided by the pool and on the beach. I loved the cleanliness, decor, and the overall feel of the resort. Although the food was amazing at the restaurants on site, I wish there was a little more variety of cuisines. However, you can take a free golf-cart ride over to their sister hotel to explore the restaurants there. Renting a car is also easy - Hertz on site - and exploring the island solves other cravings. The beach is what you would expect of a beach in the Caribbeans - beautiful, warm and clear water, clean. The pool area has areas for kids and adults. The staff at both places are ready to take orders and provide anything you need. My one complaint was that there was a sudden closing of the water park there - undergoing renovation - and that bummed out my kids because we couldn't use it after only having gone once. The resort is also situated near the recommended attractions - Blue Iguana, Crystal Caves, Stingray City - and getting around is easy. Just ask the front desk/concierge. Like I said, my family and I can't wait to go again next year. Seafire might just become an annual trip indefinitely. No other place I've been to has left the kind of impression as this place has.
Fantastic property with top notch service. Rooms are in new-ish condition. The food is amazing. Pool amenities are great as well.
Amazing place to stay….great rooms, excellent service and everything you need at the hotel. If you venture out they give you all information you need. They will also shuttle you to sister property next door for use of restaurants.
Loved staying at Kimpton Seafire! Service was amazing throughout the resort. We had an ocean front and the view was great. Even on days we didnt need room cleaning service, the workers would still knock to make sure we didn't need any extra towels, etc. we mainly stayed by the beach and loved the service with the free sunscreen, lotion, flavored waters!! Definitely would come back!!
This resort is top notch. The service and staff is incredible. Everybody at the resort goes above and beyond to make sure that you are well taken care of. The property itself is gorgeous with nice amenities and beach access. Great for couples and families, it really caters to everyone. We will definitely return to this property in the near future. We had an incredible vacation and built some great memories!
Just returned from a wonderful trip to Grand Cayman and the Kimpton Seafire. Every interaction we had with the staff was exceptional: valet, front desk (especially Ina), pool and beach (special shout out to Kelsey), housekeeping, & restaurants. Location was perfect, the beach was impeccable, and the spa was beautiful with excellent masseuses. We especially enjoyed being driven to Bonny Moon in the Moke. (A very easy walk, but one in our group has mobility challenges, so we appreciated the lift!) I can't sing the praises of all the staff here enough. They are all lovely. And the oceanfront room we had was spacious and nicely appointed. Turn down service with the little cookies every night was a nice touch.
Exquisite views. Impeccable service. Prime location. Out of the several options in GC, if you're looking to let your worries slip away in a safe environment where all your needs are met, this is it. Another resort flubbed our reservation days prior, but the Kimpton team took great care of us and ended up being an even better choice ultimately. Their oceanfront rooms are truly just that, no bait and switch where you're staring at a tree or a patch of blue corner instead, and the entire scene is quiet elegance but not in a pretentious way. The staff is so well trained and genuinely warm (standouts include Atu and Alejandra, reservations; Annie concierge; Andre I think his name was, bellman; Nick, beach attendant; and more), and if they are an extention of the new GM Yann Gillet, then he was indeed the right choice to lead. The property is somehow ideally situated to adults, couples, or families, with accommodations for children and the elderly or disabled. The only issues of note weren't the hotel's fault: price-gouging taxi cabs, aggressive greedy birds, and one lady in the library area who turned us away from sitting there during the social hour as if we were trespassing after having spent thousands at the hotel across amenities including in that very bar; but, she was the only person there who didn't have a welcoming vibe and certainly didn't overshadow her amazing colleagues or the pristine property and experience. Word of mouth is one of the best forms of marketing and guest loyalty the strongest metric for success, and Kimpton Seafire in particular and IHG brands in general will get our business going forward if this experience is the norm.
Beautiful property with great amenities. Fantastic pool and restaurants. The crown jewel is the Library by the Sea cocktail bar. It’s officially the best bar in the Caribbean and has to be one of the best in the world. The included breakfast is really nice too. The beachside restaurant, Cocoloba was a fantastic option and we went back to it multiple times. Overall, had an amazing trip staying there, would love to go back!
We love Kimpton Seafire for the following reasons: 1. Cleanness: The room is clean and the service is wonderful in every way. 2. The service: Their service was definitely 5-star. We haven't encountered any unpleasant staff. Well, except one woman at the Library Bar but also part of our fault with wet swimming suite. 3. Location: It has Red Sail Sports onsite and very easy to book activities. We went on shallow dive three times last minutes. I, a non-swimmer also tried snorkeling and saw groups of tropical fishes near the shore. We rented a car and were able to go to places. Most tours also provide pickup here. 4. The food: Ave is good (though on the pricy side) and the in-room and beach menu seem to have more reasonable price. We also grab quick bites from the Pantry. 5. Noise level: We stayed at the ocean and pool view. Once we close the balcony door, we barely hear anything. 6. Golf Cart to Indigo: Since Seafire only has one restaurant, they offers golf cart rides to sister hotel Indigo. We thought we had to walk and we were so worried about the mosquito bites. 7. Plenty beach chairs: We came in the beginning of Aug, and were able to get a beach chair easily. Some minor things: 1. Library Bar: For a non-alcohol drink at the Library, it came with a short drinking glass and a huge block of ice that probably filled 60%-70% of the glass. Definitely not a place I would visit again if I come back. 2. I wish they would offer bath bombs. We loved their tub and bathed everyday with their bathing salt. We bought some bath bombs from Cost U Less. 3. Some of the power outlets are loosen. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay here.
Best hotel stay ever!! The property is beautiful and very new. Huge pool and beachfront is big enough to not ever have to fight for a chair. Most rooms have ocean views and are big with modern appliances. The front desk remembers you and will do everything to make your stay perfect. Back here again within 6months and its great to see the elevated service and a free room upgrade!
We have been to the Kimpton Seafire Resort & Spa four times, and each visit is better than the last. This resort is the definition of elevated luxury—from the stunning ocean views to the beautifully designed rooms, every detail is thoughtfully curated. What truly sets Seafire apart is the exceptional staff. They go above and beyond to make every stay unforgettable, always welcoming guests with warmth and professionalism. The service is seamless, whether at the front desk, the pool, or the incredible on-site restaurants. The food and drinks are outstanding—whether it’s a gourmet breakfast at Ave, a casual bite at Coccoloba with oceanfront views, or craft cocktails at the bar, every meal is top-tier. The pool and beach setup are also fantastic, with plenty of space to relax in total comfort. Seafire perfectly balances luxury and relaxation, making it our go-to spot in Grand Cayman. We can’t wait to return!
I stayed here for a few days with my partner and we had a fantastic time. Check in was a breeze and the staff is all SO kind and SO nice. The hotel was insanely beautiful, clean, well mapped out. I appreciate the ice/water refill stations on every floor. The food at the restaurants was impeccable. They always had some fun events going on too like happy hour. There is free coffee in the morning. We also ordered room service a few times and the food was great and got delivered on time. The location was very nice and just a 3 min walk to the beautiful beach. This spot was absolutely amazing. We had an ocean view room and it was gorgeous.
Perfect Family Getaway – Highly Recommend! We stayed at the Kimpton during the kids’ school break, and it was the perfect choice for a relaxing and enjoyable family vacation. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. The room was spacious, clean, and perfect for our family, with comfortable beds and a great view. The kids especially loved the splash pad area, while we appreciated the peaceful atmosphere and excellent service. The hotel’s location was ideal, close to Bonny Moon and another hotel Indigo and the more casual Dukes, making it easy to explore and have fun. The breakfast buffet was a highlight—plenty of delicious options that pleased both the kids and adults. Overall, our stay was fantastic, and we can’t wait to come back for another family getaway. Highly recommend the Kimpton for families looking for a great vacation spot!
I came here for dinner a couple times in February 2025. Amazing boardwalk. Very walkable. Super green, no chickens, very modern architecture, luxury villas. It looks like a very green and tropical place with beautiful place. Modern architecture. If you like greenery, modern, and tropical scenery with the beach, it is a really nice resort. The food wasn’t extremely good, but the Mexican restaurant that I forgot the name of that is really nice. The food is good. But Avecita wasn’t extremely nice.
I’m currently staying here—it’s day 2 of 4—and saying this place deserves only five stars is an understatement. It has completely blown us away and exceeded our expectations in every way. I’m sitting here post beach day/shower and really feel the need to recognize this amazing place. From the moment we pulled into the driveway, we were greeted with such kindness and positivity from the valet staff. Then, while checking in (four hours early, which was pleasant and convenient), we were welcomed with some lovely champagne and chocolate! Our room is absolutely beautiful. Last night, we had dinner on the beach at one of the resort’s restaurants, and it was excellent. We booked to have breakfast included, and we chose the buffet (though à la carte is also available). The buffet has amazing options—from smoked salmon and freshly made omelets to my favorite: the feta watermelon salad. I ordered an iced caramel latte, but didn’t drink much of it because it was a bit too sweet for me. The server noticed and brought me a fresh one with the caramel on the side. That small gesture was so sweet and appreciated! We’re here celebrating my fiancé’s birthday, so I mentioned it in an email to the concierge while booking a cabana, just to ask if they did anything special. When we returned to our room, we were surprised with a beautiful assortment of pastries and macarons, a birthday message for Andrew, and a beautiful bottle of red wine! The staff working at the beach and pool are also awesome. Every interaction we’ve had has been positive and friendly. We’re truly in love with this place and honestly don’t want our stay to end. Also, They do a complementary happy hour every day from 5-6pm with wine and small bites. I also heard amazing things about the spa. We’re looking forward to the next few days here and couldn’t recommend this resort more highly. Thank you, Seafire Resort, for your genuine hospitality and for making this stay so special! We will be back for sure.
Gorgeous hotel right on seven mile beach. Outstanding service , from front desk (thanks Kavita!), to valets, housekeeping with turndown service, and all the wonderful servers at the restaurants/pool/beach. Would come here again in a heartbeat!
This is a vacation paradise with the best service staff you can ask for starting from the guys by the front door, girls in the front lobby, and all the people providing beach service. Also housekeeping was phenomenal. Rooms are clean. The snorkeling and swimming on the beach was the best I have ever experienced. My family and I did not want to leave and will be back for sure. Thank you!
The difference between luxury hotels and elite hotels is the attention to detail. This resort is comfortable yet sophisticated, and the service is beyond excellent. The concierge is available for whatever you need, and the attention to detail (e.g., frozen grapes delivered to you while in the pool, a bag with towels and water if you’re leaving the grounds) is on point. The rooms are elegantly decorated with a “relax” lighting feature in both the bedroom and bathroom. The location on the beach is perfect because it’s near a green space, and the water is extremely calm and there are plenty of options for water sports. You can also snorkel right off the beach as there’s a reef 100 yards away. The food was the best I’ve had in the Caribbean (best. Omelette. Ever), and if you want to venture off the grounds, Bonny Moon is next door. Also great food and one of the most unique places you’ll ever eat at. We had an incredibly relaxing time and can’t wait to go back. I would select this resort over any of the other places I’ve stayed in Cayman. Zero complaints other than my trip wasn’t long enough.
Kimpton Seafire absolutely exceeded my expectations for our vacation. This vacation was planned as a surprise for my fiancés birthday, my birthday and his parents anniversary and Kimpton Seafire staff went above and beyond making us feel special during our trip. The service was over the top amazing, the food and drinks were 10/10 and I personally think the best thing about this resort is that it did not feel overcrowded. There were numerous spots open by the beach/pool/bar anywhere you went on the resort. I can not wait to come back in the future! Thank you for everything Kimpton Seafire Staff. Wendy was one of our favorite waitresses!
This resort is absolutely stunning! Clean and beautiful and wonderful food and amenities! The concierge team is great! Mary Jayne "MJ" has been wonderful to work with. They will go above ans beyond to make sure your stay is amazing. Splash pad for the kids, pool is so nice! Bars are awesome and just great vibes! Cannot wait to come back!
Absolutely amazing! Excellent food and upscale amenities. Every single staff member was attentive, quick, and friendly. They made us all feel so welcome, especially our kids! Awesome ocean view room. Super clean beach. Very kid friendly. Everything was perfect. We will definitely be back!
ONE OF THE BEST RESORTS IN THE WORLD, LET ALONE THE CARIBBEAN. I just spent 5 nights at the Seafire with my wife on our honeymoon...and holy cow I cannot believe how immaculatly perfect this place is. The manager Lazslo truly made us feel special, as well as everyone else on the property, which is impeccably manicured and maintained. The morning brunch was exceptional, with Mariyon manning the omelet station and is easily one of the most talented chefs you've every seen. Everything was spectacular. Better than anyone else on the island by miles. Book your stay now!!!
My husband and I have stayed at the seafire numerous times over the years, it has grown to be one of our favorite vacation spots. The hotel is immaculate, all of the staff is so welcoming and accommodating. Most of all, we love the location, and the pristine beach. We always look forward to starting our day off at the amazing breakfast buffet, especially the live omelet station with chef Mariyon. We love to spend our days drinking pina coladas beachside. It wouldn't be a visit to the Kimpton without a cocktail or two at library by the sea. Our last visit was November, and we are already planning our next trip back!
We stayed here for a week with our family and had a wonderful experience. The hotel and staff are exceptional with children, and I highly recommend picking up the kids’ activity schedule during your stay—especially checking out the Seafire Camp. While it’s fantastic for families, this hotel is also perfect for couples, as it’s elegant, chic, and wonderfully quiet. From the moment we arrived, Stacia was fantastic—she made check-in seamless and ensured we had everything we needed. Everyone, from the pool staff to the beach team, was incredibly helpful and consistently went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Thank you to the entire Seafire staff for an amazing experience!
We stayed here for a couples only trip and had a great time. This hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. Everything was very clean, the staff always friendly/attentive and everything we ate and drank were delicious! There were so many little extra perks which made our stay even more enjoyable, like turn down cookies on your pillow, happy hour drinks in the lobby and free coffee bar in the morning. We didn't have our kids with us but also noticed there were many nice little extras for the kids as well like free sand toys to enjoy, floats for pool/ocean as well as lots of fun water toys to try. I would definitely recommend staying here for anyone visiting Grand Cayman.
This was our second stay at the Kimpton Seafire, and we returned over Christmas, which made the experience even more special. Once again, everything was absolutely amazing. From the moment we arrived, it felt less like checking into a resort and more like coming home to family. It was wonderful to see so many other guests who were also repeat visitors, and for good reason. While the stunning beachfront, beautiful amenities, and excellent food are all outstanding, what truly sets Kimpton Seafire apart is the people. The staff here are genuinely kind, warm, and thoughtful in a way that feels completely authentic. They go above and beyond. We honestly felt like VIPs throughout our entire stay. A special thank you to Kavita, Front Office Manager, who gave us the warmest welcome and set the tone for an unforgettable visit. Kelsey treated us like VIPs at every turn always friendly, attentive, and bringing a smile to everyone’s faces. Her positive energy is infectious. We also want to recognize Daniel, William, Elton, Oscar, Nick, Robert, and Romeo, who all contributed to an incredible experience and made our stay even more memorable. Each of them added something special and made the experience feel personal and fun. Kimpton Seafire is a place that stays with you long after you leave. It’s rare to find a resort where the service feels this genuine and the people feel this special. We already can’t wait for our next visit and clearly, we’re not the only ones who keep coming back. Highly, highly recommend.
Our family just completed our fourth stay at the Kimpton Seafire in Grand Cayman, and once again it was nothing short of exceptional. This resort continues to raise the bar for what a luxury Caribbean vacation should feel like. From the moment we arrived, our personal assistant, Mary Jayne, made our stay seamless and stress-free. Her recommendations were spot-on, and she handled every small issue with genuine care and efficiency. Any time we needed an itinerary adjustment, she handled it effortlessly and with a smile. She truly elevated our experience. The service throughout the resort was consistently warm and attentive. Sudan, who took such great care of us at breakfast, was always cheerful and welcoming—exactly the way you want to start your day. Tricia at the Splashpad brought so much positive energy and made relaxing by the water even more enjoyable. And we can’t forget a highlight of every visit: Marion, the master omelet maker. His omelets are works of art—perfect every time—and he somehow remembers exactly how we like them. It’s become one of our favorite traditions each morning. The Kimpton Seafire is truly a one-of-a-kind hotel—beautifully designed, impeccably maintained, and staffed by people who genuinely love what they do. We highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for an unforgettable escape in Grand Cayman. We’re already looking forward to our next stay!
We had such a wonderful stay at Kimpton Seafire Resort. From the moment we checked in, Kavita at the reception desk made us feel so welcome, greeting us with a glass of refreshing rosé cava — such a thoughtful touch. Our room had stunning views, which made the stay even more special. Room service was top-notch, and a special shout-out goes to the one and only OG Daisy, who truly made the experience memorable with her warm service and attention to detail. I also loved the little things that make the resort stand out — from the small design touches around the property to the daily happy hour between 5–6 PM with complimentary wine and snacks. Those details really add to the charm. Overall, it was an amazing experience, and I would highly recommend Kimpton Seafire to anyone visiting Grand Cayman.
Excellent for anyone looking for a family friendly hotel. Breakfast was amazing except they didn’t have beans after my first day. Everyone extreme friendly and happy to help. Chef mariyon that cooks the omelette was friendly and good. Coccoloba is spectacular. Please visit Garfield the beautiful cat. Honestly, I think it’s a no brainier to come here if you’re visiting the Cayman Islands. My first time visiting a Kimpton
Even though I was not staying at the Kimpton Seafire, Clint, who I believe works in security, went completely above and beyond to assist me. The hotel was in the middle of setting up for a massive New Year’s Eve event, making an already hectic situation even more challenging, yet Clint remained calm, attentive, and incredibly accommodating throughout. With over 35 years in the hospitality industry, I can confidently say that his professionalism, politeness, and genuinely courteous attitude truly stood out and reflect exceptionally well on the Kimpton brand. This level of service is rare and absolutely deserves recognition. Thank you, Clint!
Beautiful beach front resort From the moment we arrived staff make you feel special. Because it was during low season they kindly upgraded us to a one bedroom suite which was really nice. It had a lot of space, amazing walk in closet, a large bathroom suite. Very comfortable and perfect for a couple get away. Also the resort is very kid/family friendly. They have 2 restaurants. The main dining restaurant is great. The restaurant by the beach is good too. The concierge made several restaurant recommendations that were very perfect. They were exactly as the concierge described. They actually had afternoon social hour with wine and a special appetizer for that day. It was a good way of meeting others and enjoying a glass of wine with the beautiful sunsets.
Everything is amazing! Love the happy hour drink and snacks. And all the complimentary activities are wonderful. Lovely and beautiful beach! Also they are very good at managing food allergies. We are travelling with food allergies kid. All the staff asked us if we have any food allergies when we order food. Food menus have very clearly allergen information. Such a peace of mind for us!
Our first time in Grand Cayman and in a Kimpton (Seafire) Resort and it lived up to our expectations and more. The hotel, located on Seven Mile Beach (clear, warm and calm turquoise waters!!) had the perfect amenities, spacious room with great views from our bedroom and balcony, artsy library bar where we enjoyed live music, on the beach restaurant with the best pina colada, and most importantly, very friendly and accommodating staff. They made our 25th Anniversary celebration a very memorable one. From the family suite upgrade, to a special bubbly gift to extending our stay with a complimentary late check out, we couldn't ask for more. Kimpton Seafire thank you for going above and beyond! Special shout out and Thank You to the following staff members: Reisha from the front desk who made it all happen, Zelda, Brando, Richard (Cocoloba Restaurant), Karina (beach service) and Marco (water equipment). They were all very friendly and always willing to help!
We just returned from celebrating my birthday at the amazing Kimpton Seafire GC. The short of it: It is a gorgeous resort, a lovely beach and property with excellent service. The beach has sugary sand and crystal clear turquoise water, very well maintained and nice chairs, umbrellas and cabanas at the beach and pool.. While it is pricey, we felt that our 5 star experience there was worth it. That being said there are a few things to consider, depending on what you are looking for in a resort, with details below. I should mention up front that we went in September, the lowest of the low season as we were told by several staff, and the experience would likely be quite different if the resort had been full. We didn’t need to make reservations at any restaurants or be strategic about when we went down to the pool, beach or gym. I’m sure in the high season that planning would be necessary. First the rooms: The location on Seven Mile Beach can’t be beat, the property is impeccably designed and maintained. The rooms are nice, designed to emphasize the main attraction, which is the amazing beach and sea views. We had an oceanfront suite with an adjoining room for our kids, which was very nice. Food at the Seafire: The food options we used at the Seafire Resort were the Ave for breakfast/brunch and dinner, Cocoloba for lunch and drinks, room service for dinner, poolside service, and the Seafire Pantry. Breakfast at the Ave was very good, I loved the protein bowl and my husband and son enjoyed the chicken burrito. The Ave dinner menu was not great, the food was just good. Cocoloba, the beachfront on-site restaurant, was ok. Nice for beachfront lunch but menu was not great, drinks were just so-so, and decor was meh. The lighting was terrible, with harsh, bright lights on even at night. I understand it is to be renovated next year. Seafire Room service was not great, the salad was very basic, the pizza was bland and the pasta was not good. My husband liked his chicken sandwich and his fries. The service delivering it was good though, and you can call to have the cart picked up quickly when you finish. The poolside service was great for drinks and smoothies for the kids. We loved the pina coladas there, they were quite sweet but very strong! Lots of people ordered food from the poolside so it can’t be too bad, we just never stayed still long enough to order food from the pool or beach. Lastly on food, the Seafire Pantry is a gem. One complaint I have about the stay, was the way the hotel handled a couple of families staying there with 5 children around ages 2-4y. Many families were at the Seafire with children and babies, and it’s nice to watch people spending quality time together and enjoying their children—we are not looking for an adults-only resort. Most of the parents were attentive to their little ones and considerate of the other guests. But two families staying at the resort together seemed to be less watchful of their kids the entire week, parked at the middle of the pool all day, letting them roam around the restaurants and climb on the stools and handrails at dinner, screaming and yelling at times, and the parents did little to manage it. Two of the parents would wander off and leave all 5 young kids with the other couple. On any given day was no place the other guests could escape where the wild kids would not be (the adults only pool is tiny and not nice and right next to the regular pool). At happy hour in the lobby each day as we were trying to enjoy a pre-dinner glass of wine, these two families would bring their kids and let them roam around the lobby and play with the pool table, climbing on the sofas and throwing pillows on the floor while their parents chatted together. We have 3 children of our own and love traveling with our kids, we understand kids are active and sometimes loud. This was beyond that—many guests and staff saw their behaviors each day and exchanged glances and comments amongst ourselves when we saw them coming. Hope the manager can handle this kind of thing better in the future.
I booked the Artisan's Touch massage for my mother’s birthday and she enjoyed it 100% the booking process and the customer service were immaculate. The experience was absolutely top-tier based on my mother’s feedback and it brought her so much joy 🙂A special, heartfelt thank you to Sharon Samuel for giving my mom such a relaxing, memorable massage and making her feel genuinely cared for and to Anne, the spa concierge, for making the process easy and seamless.
Loved the place and services. My only suggestion is as a tea drinker the room nespresso makes water taste like coffee same with lobby hot water. Need pot dedicated to just hot water. No white wine in room just two reds. Beach and pool fabulous. Ice water and suntan lotion everywhere.
Came for a 4 night getaway for my birthday as a family of four. Hotel is modern and new, service is impeccable and amenities are well appreciated. The only thing I found annoying is they charge for certain loungers by the pool and ocean and most of the loungers that are ocean front are a fee. As I appreciate moving throughout the day from beach to pool to restaurants - id have to pay to get set seating in both which is silly. It also feels very non-luxurious to get nickel and dime'd during the low season when the resort is only 20-30% of capacity. Overall a very lovely stay
The kimpton sea fire is a overall great hotel with average rooms and ok housekeeping the food is great and the restaurants and cabana/ beach chair food is great as well. My room had a partial ocean view and a spectacular view of the sunset. The spa and its treatments were all amazing and would definitely recommend. My only issue with this hotel is that the housekeeping barley did anything in my whole 7 day stay and on the first day I was there asked for a tip which I find to be quite rude overall a great hotel with lots to do for all ages
We just returned from our 2nd stay at the Seafire. The first time we visited 3 years ago was as an anniversary trip - we brought our kids along for a 4 night stay this time around. Overall, the resort is wonderful - hence the reason we returned. The housekeeping staff and rooms are perfection, however there's room for improvement. There seemed to be more ocean front daybeds than the last time we visited. It's a bit silly to look at a row of empty daybeds while not getting an ocean view. The cafe area could also be better staffed. On a few occasions there was one person working (making all the drinks and ringing customers) which added to a lengthy wait. The grab and go could have more options for families who don't want to do a sit down breakfast. While we did opt for a sit down breakfast 2 of our 4 mornings, we found the service to be lacking and slow. We ordered a continental breakfast including fruits and a pastry basket which took over 20 mins to come out. When it did come, it came with all the other hot food at once. We also paid for a pool-side cabana. We were assigned one that did not have a view of the main pool at all. We asked to switch to a closer one so we could keep a watch on our kids, but were told it was already booked. We had to insist (since you can't reserve a specific one anyway and the other party had not yet arrived) which required some deep sighs and a phone call. Overall, we had a fantastic time and my kids loved the pool and the beach, but we will likely explore other Caribbean stays next time.
Service, F&B amazing. Mirror Glass cocktail at the Ave restaurant bar was quite possibly the best cocktail I have ever enjoyed! The hotel is in need of an update, rooms seem a bit tired, our coffee service area in the room was scratched up and the induction stove has cracks. Not that I am using it, but it seems that it’s now time to do a small improvement or renovation. Staying here now and the kids, children make us feel that we are at a Disney resort. Pool is crowded with children and toys. I went out to the beach at 8am and every chair was claimed by the front row of the ocean. They said 90 minute policy, but the chairs next to me still aren’t occupied on either side and it’s 1pm. Saved with stuff but not enforced. Somewhat annoying Hallways are loud as kids running down and being loud. But it was fine after 10pm. The library bar is lovely but not enough room for the adults who are trying to have a vacation. Perhaps for a family, great. But not for a couple on vacation.
My husband booked my 40th birthday for December 4-7th coming up. They already made an error on the beach dinner reservation saying it is my husband's reservation (instead of mine). I asked them to correct it. Then they sent the birthday options again to me instead of my husband to book for me. For the 5 star rating and rave reviews I have heard, this seems amateur. How do they not pay attention to details? That is what sets hotels apart these days. The service. We have stayed at many high end establishments. I hope this does not disappoint in December..a little nervous.
Very Disappointed – The Quality Has Declined Significantly We have been staying at the Kimpton every year since the day it opened, and unfortunately, this has been the most disappointing stay we’ve ever had. The hotel has become extremely stingy with its services. We were always provided breakfast vouchers in the past — without ever having to ask — but not this year. In addition, the room was not as clean as it used to be, and the toiletries, which were once generously stocked, are no longer provided at the same level. These may seem like small things, but they were part of what made the Kimpton experience special, and it’s clear that the attention to detail has declined. I refer many people to the Kimpton every year, but at this point it’s hard to continue doing so. Hotel Indigo, right next door, is offering much better service — and requires far fewer points for the stay. I truly hope management takes this feedback seriously, because long-time loyal guests like us are reconsidering where we stay.
We were so excited to stay here after seeing many glowing reviews. It fell short in almost every aspect. Started with check in. We are a family of 5 and had other family members staying in a house in the island where our boys were going to take turns staying with their grandparents. Front desk was extremely rude in accusing us multiple times of trying to sneak 5 in and told us he would charge us if house keeping saw 5 in the room. Because of how awful the resort was my boys all wanted to stay at the house and only one of them stayed one night! We also gave the Kimpton password and were given absolutely nothing for it. The signs on the beach say no reserving chairs til 8 am which is absolutely not followed. We were down there for a beach walk at 7:45 and workers were already giving the first few front rows to certain guests. Every single morning we witnessed fights over beach chairs. The workers always gave into whichever guest was the rudest. This creates a truly unrelaxing vibe and the arguments would continue all day as some people would hog chairs and not come down to the beach til after lunch. Beach service was so slow. If we went to the towel hut to ask for someone to come they would tell us to “wait for their colleague” this seemed to be a common phrase throughout the whole place - I can’t help you but you need to wait. Breakfast was always a wait for a table no matter the time. One day my husband and 10 year old were seated at the bar and my husband got up to get food and a guest sat in his seat. This sparked a huge argument between staff and the woman taking the seat. My 10 year old was mortified. On another day a table of about 12 8 year olds was running around screaming, knocking food over with no parental vision in sight and no action from any staff member. One day we had an early excursion booked and my husband asked for a packed breakfast sandwich or to be able to grab something from the little shop as our stay included free breakfast. They first said no. Then said peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and finally 4 calls later agreed to give us breakfast sandwiches. Throughout our stay, we tried to get in touch with management many times they would text back and say just to enjoy our stay and they would try to meet with us. The one time the manager finally did seek us out was when we were in a hurry to get to our excursion, which he knew about because we had talked to them about breakfast. Overall, they didn’t seem to care at all about our concerns. It really seemed like they were just trying to keep their head above water because the staff could not keep up with the capacity. We were there over MLK week and the place was overrun with kids. There was constantly screaming crying. I know the resort can’t help this, but it was shocking that parents wouldn’t take their kids to the room after a 45 minute tantrum on the beach. I would never ever stay here without children. They were completely understaffed, and the staff could not keep up with all of the demands. Our flight home got canceled because of winter storm Fern and we moved over to Palm Heights and the Westin, both of which were much better and I would choose 100 times over staying here again.
