We set outside next to the pool and ocean in December. The weather was pleasant and there was a nice breeze. We had the moroccan shrimp and the seafood combination platter. The Moroccan shrimp had great flavor and it was not too spicy. The shrimp were cooked perfectly. The seafood mixed grill was grilled cooked nicely and had a nice sized portion. The two of us split these dishes. I also had a twist on a Moscow mule drink that was great.
My last meal of my short trip. Great food as it was Asado night or Argentinian meat theme. I went with the snapper instead with salad and cheesecake desert. The bread and sauces were excellent- ate 2 helpings! Staff was super friendly as well. My snapper was medium sized portion- cooked maybe slightly over my liking but the sautéed veggies were so good! Cheesecake was just enough that I wasn’t overfilled. Will eat here again on my next trip.
The food was really yummy. My waiter was a legend and the view was exquisite
One of our favorites on the island, with a drink from the bar together with great food and watching the sunset here is the absolute best on the island. Decent pricing together with great service is wonderful here. The festive buffets here is marvelous! Highly recommend!
The most amazing black truffle mashed potatoes and scintillating pesto sauce I have ever experienced. Their chef says its made of love... and I can't help but agree! We spent a lovely evening watching the sun set and sailboats slip by. Michael provided excellent service to perfect the setting. Well worth it!
Wonderful al fresco dining spot serving lunch and dinner daily! They have awesome views and if you know when the sunsets 🌅 you know you’ll be treated to a beautiful view! Servers are very well aware of how to make your visit special and memorable. The salads are creative and well presented as well as delicious and healthy! Many appetizer options and sandwiches for lunch. Dinner you can order your favorite steak, seafood and on Wednesday’s you can enjoy their Lobster Fete 🥳 🦞. Wonderful experience for any occasion. Mind you they are not open between 2:30 - 5:30 in the afternoon.
My family and I had dinner here during the Argentinian night and lunch while we stayed at the Marriott and both times we were blown away by the delicious meal, great service, and incredible view. For most dinners there is also live entertainment (guitar players, a DJ, etc.) which elevates the atmosphere even more. Our server, Allwyn, was very kind and helpful and remembered us when we returned for lunch. I would definitely come back if given the chance!
The views of the sunset were incredible. The service was excellent and on par with a fine dining location during dinner. I had the surf and turf and it was very good, but probably a bit pricier than the meal warranted. However, the salted caramel ice cream jar was absolutely delicious. All in all, I was very pleased and more than willing to pay a little extra for that view.
This is a beautiful ocean side restaurant. The lamb was great - my partner kept taking about how much he liked it the whole trip. The Moroccan shrimp was flavorful and their bread was so fresh. For dessert we got this salted caramel brownie dish and that had to be the best dessert I’ve had in a LONG time. 10/10
We came for lobster night and it was amazing!! Incredible service and the dessert was THE BEST key lime dessert I’ve ever had!! The dulce fresca (drink) was so delicious, I had two! Waeez was our server and he was so sweet and attentive!!! Excellent service!!!
Great food, great atmosphere, incredible views of the stars. We even saw a shooting star!! Enjoy the live music and the great drinks. Definitely try the Minkey Food, its delicious!! The staff is beyond attentive and professional!!
Ate here tonight, and it was fantastic. Had the beef cheek and the Nero pasta, both highly recommended! The service was also great and the restaurant overlooks the water so it would be best to go around sunset. Pretty reasonably priced considering it’s the Caymans.
Ate here multiple times on a trip this week. Food never disappoints. Healthy salads are fabulous unique and so tasty. Staff is amazing. Everyone is super friendly and accommodating. Prices are normal and not crazy hotel prices. I highly recommend.
Lovely outdoor oceanfront restaurant with delicious food. We went here very last minute and with no reservation. We were staying next door and couldn't decide on where to eat and it was getting late. Very happy we came here as the food was exceptional and the service was attentive.
The best place to eat in Grand Cayman. The food is a bit expensive but it is very good and worth it. It's a bit hard to get too and find, it is through the Marriott Hotel lobby, through the courtyard and in the back. All seats are facing the beach. It's not a well known place but they have amazing food and great views.
We went on Lobster night and loved it. Great food, service and perfect sunset.
This little place had the feel of a little beachside bistro with the artistic excellence and service of a giant hotel! A tough feat to pull off. The beach was steps below the bistro.
Great atmosphere! Great food! Great cocktails! The view from the patio is amazing!!
Food and service was top notch. The view is breath-taking. Going to miss this place
Our outdoor dining experience at the Veranda was superb. Lovely setting overlooking the ocean. We all loved the food.
Very nice. Part of the Marriott Hotel on 7 mile beach. Great food and drinks.
Highly recommend the Surf and Turf! Service was great, loved the ambience, and the food was delicious.
Oceanview grill restaurant which is part of Marriott hotel. Seating options to be in open or tables with covered large owning. Good menu options including vegan. The traditional chicken with chorizo was excellent. They even brought us complimentary dessert. Live music in the background and great ambiance including sunset view. Overall a great dinner experience!
Definitely go here while on the CI. It is expensive but it is worth it! There was a DJ and the food was in our top three during our week long visit. The drinks were so good and the ambience is beautiful! I loved the Mariott and being on the water like that and the restaurant is so pretty! Great staff and it was an entire experience...not just dinner! We'd go there again!
We enjoyed a food demo from the chef and assistant chef. They shared their expertise on making paella. The time they shared with us was informative and delightful. They delved into the island history, what's happening at our complex and the food was great too. Good time and good eats.
The service here is absolutely top notch and the food is equally as good. Everyone in my group had fresh fish off the special menu (four different types) and some starter crab cakes and ceviche. Everything came out perfectly paced, incredibly prepared and presented and the servers (Anthonie in particular) were the perfect balance of attentive yet unobtrusive. If you’re in Grand Cayman, I would highly recommend eating here. Get a reservation for around sunset to make the experience truly memorable!
You sit outside on a beautiful patio overlooking the water. The food is wonderfully presented and delicious. The wait staff was pleasant and knowledgeable. The prices were a little high for what you get.
My wife and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary dinner an enjoyed an unforgettable meal. Our server, Mary Ann, was wonderful. She really made us not feel as just diners, but as privileged Guests! And of course, the meal was delicious as well!
I was so delighted with the quality of food and service at Ascia. I cannot eat allium (onions, garlic, chives, etc) and sometimes I’m stuck eating a simple salad and getting eye rolls from servers and chefs at restaurants but here, Carlos, one of the sous chefs, came out to talk with me and he made something not even on the menu. The halibut with a caper sauce was amazing and cooked perfectly- halibut is difficult because it gets dried out very quickly. This one was tender, juicy and somehow he even got a very thin crispy layer on top without drying it out. It was accompanied with broccolini served with almonds and sunflower seeds. I usually don’t leave reviews but I was so pleasantly surprised with our dinner that I had to. Thank you so much Carlos.
Wonderful food, live music, and view of the ocean. Great atmosphere. Be sure to make a reservation.
We enjoyed Wednesday lobster night. There are a few choices and the price is 45-65. The musician is excellent with perfect ambiance sound without straining to have a conversation. The staff is genuine and caring which was a pleasant surprise for a large branded resort. The surf and turf was a good value and the lobster mac was exceptional.
I was staying at Grand Cayman Marriott Resort and dined in both their restaurants Anchor & Den and Veranda on Seven Mile Beach. I had the pleasure of being served by SATHEESH, and I can honestly say he made our dining experience outstanding. From the moment we arrived, he was incredibly helpful, warm, and attentive. He demonstrated excellent knowledge of the menu, offering thoughtful recommendations and answering all of our questions with ease. What truly set Satheesh apart was the way he went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. His attention to detail, friendly attitude, and genuine care made us feel truly welcomed and appreciated. It’s rare to encounter such top-notch service — Satheesh is a true asset to the team. Thank you for making our visit so enjoyable!
Lovely location, nice decor, very good food. The waiter was fun, but professional. From Paris! The conch fritters were excellent, the best I had all week. I had a salad with grilled shrimp that I very much enjoyed. My three companions all enjoyed their meals as well. I would return the next time we go to Grand Cayman!
Great dinner and awesome setting. Great sunsets and great service! The chef followed up to see how the meal was going, which added a special touch.
Everything was good. They had live music. Service was good and food was good. A bit pricey on the standalone salads.
Great view! Food was good too. Given the location, a bit on the pricey side, but again, the bite was amazing. I will say though, the fries were not even edible. Too bad, cause the rest of the food was not bad.
Very nice restaurant Good food great service
Great service. Krishna, Jerome, Abertona were brilliant. I will be back
The setting is beautiful on the water and the service was solid, but unfortunately the execution of the food was not great with chewy scallops and 2 overcooked fish dishes in their 4-course Sunday option. The sauces and preparation of the plate were good but just the core fish was not.
We stayed at the Marriott and every time we left, we realized just how much better the food, coffee, etc. was! It isn’t cheap, but well worth every penny (it’s not cheaper outside of the hotel!) I ate from Veranda from the comfort of my beach front lounge chair. The server was so friendly and the restaurant could not have been more accommodating. I eat gluten and dairy free and they went above and beyond to help me understand what I could have. I ended up with the jerk chicken sandwich on gluten-free bread with sweet potato fries and it was unbelievable - I will probably have it again tomorrow! (Addendum, back the next day and apparently the sweet potato fries are not glut n free so do t have them if you eat gluten free! Not thrilled about that issue so I’m changing to 4 stars. Would be less because if this miscommunication but I am not celiac and enjoyed them). Tasty, generous portion that came in a special large reusable dining tray that kept the food warm and fresh and easy to eat beachside. Highly, highly recommend that you stay put if you’re staying at the hotel or come for a visit.
During our stay in Grand Cayman, we booked a dinner at Veranda at The Marriott which was next to our vacation condo. We were at a table next to the water so that was nice, watching the sunset. We ordered the 4 course meal. Lobster salad was delicious, lobster Mac and cheese was great, surf and turf was a disappointment. The food was lukewarm and melted butter cold. Our desserts were ok but very small in size. Quality of food not as good as we have eaten there in previous years.
We arrived and everything was moved indoors because of the rain. There was a large speaker playing very loud music. I had to yell to the server for him to hear my dinner order. Our water glasses were almost always empty, the food took forever and was subpar. Almost everything on the menu consisted of lobster. It took forever to get the bill. Will not be returning.
We almost stayed at this Marriot because its very pretty and has amenities like bar and this Veranda restaurant with great view, however no beach just reef. There are trampolines for kids to swim to. This restaurant overlooks all that and for dinner, the sunset is gorgeous. I think we make have been unlucky and got the tall thin waiter who didn’t like his job, but the food is over priced and not the best cooked food or seafood either. The big prawn dinner is 1 unfilling prawn, the wines were not mature enough, the mariscado seafood for $65 is not a great value based on taste- overcooked. The surf and turf is fine. One visit was enough here.
The view is unmatchable, loved the ambiance, and the service is good. Too bad the food is nothing to write home about. The king prawn was bland. The sea bass (whole fish with head and bones) was also bland and not worth the work of taking out the bones. No sauce, no redeeming quality on either meal. The best thing we had was the chocolate cake they gave us gratis to celebrate our anniversary. Improve the food and this place will be steller.
We got served quickly then it went downhill. The guy never came back for like 25 minutes and they were slow as can be. I don't recommend this place as they r really slow. But if you're willing to wait a long time then it's not horrible food, just slow service
Way over priced. Scallops were cold when plate arrived. 5 people in our party, we were sat at the corner table with no breeze or fan. It’s hard to enjoy your $400 meal when it’s too hot. Server was very nice.
Food was ok at best. Went during high tide and waves were crashing against the wall and water was coming over it
Wear casual clothes as the fans are ornamental and provide minimal cooling. I wish I could have worn a swimsuit, I was sweating so much. The steak as good, but avoid the sea bass, which was bland and full of tiny bones. The view and service were excellent, but for a high end place, the meal was a big letdown! I had a much better experience at the Calypso Grill, Bacaro, and even Peppers.
TLDR: Avoid if vegan. Good sunset views. Atmosphere: Good deck seating for sunset / sea views while eating. The bar is very stupidly placed so the guests are seated with their backs toward the view. They need to turn the bar 180°. Otherwise, it is very plain standard Marriott. Service: Very unhelpful for vegans. When asked, they said the menu was set. Food: Can't say for sure because the menu had the vegan marking but all the options shown online were gone in person. So we never got to eat at the restaurant sadly. Please add back good vegan options that carnies can add meat to if they choose!
We ate here tonight. While the view is great I ordered the lobster tortellini and my dish had three (3) pieces of tortellini. For a main dish this was just really disappointing. Understand it’s a high end atmosphere but that dish, while tasted good, was a complete joke. Lots of better places on the island for better food.
