Food was fantastic. Service was a little slow but we had a very large group. We were seated outside on an enclosed patio. Lighting was rough - ends of the tables were in darkness but, again, it was a very large group so likely not normally the case. Steak was amazing

We were here to celebrate my birthday! The food was amazing! I had a side salad of baby spinach goat cheese pecans with a sparse amount I’d carrots (thank goodness) and a delicious raspberry vinaigrette and sliced strawberries. If it were not uncouth I would have licked the plate. Darrell had a side salad of mixed greens and cherry tomatoes with Ranch dressing (he is really a country boy). I really have never been a big fan of filet mignon but we had ours Filet Mignon Oscar. This was a wonderful bernaise sauce with lump crab. My filet was perfectly cooked at a lovely rare it had the perfect kiss of char and the seasoning was on point. Darrell had the same he asked for medium but it was medium rare! Julia our Sweet server brought out a beautiful piece slice of 3 layer chocolate mousse cake with a candle which she lit. The plate was beautifully decorated! The food is pricey but absolutely delicious! So worth it for a special occasion. As we left a young man even stopped me as I passed his table to wish me happy birthday,

Got to have an amazing meal the other night with my friends. I’ve never been before and I wasn’t sure what to expect. The food was fantastic and the service was phenomenal. Eat here or one if the surrounding restaurant, but finish here with dessert and a nice bottle of wine. The Brooke was an amazing chocolate experience. WoW! We had a large party to deal with which is always a challenge but the staff at Winewood Grill was more than up for the task! Incredible service with nothing but polite, friendly and positive attitudes! You go to a restaurant to eat right? The food was simply amazing! Crab cake appetizers were some of the best I’ve had from anywhere, the Chilean Sea Bass was cooked and seasoned to perfection with the most beautiful crust as well!! I will add that the Brookie for dessert is worth the visit by itself, no spoilers here though you have to try it! Great experience and will return for sure! B

A great option for a last minute dinner with a nice atmosphere (the fire places were 🔥) and the bar was lively. We had soup and salads which were both great. The service was fabulous and every need was met. To top it off, the wines by the glass menu had great options. Definitely recommend.

Omg.. We had reservations but decided to join during happy hour at the bar. Today was hubby’s birthday and let me just say Winewood definitely made his day! Darin and Ain at the bar was THE BEST! They made GREAT drinks and customer service was through the roof literally!! Everything we tried was DELICIOUS! We will most definitely be back! Remind you I put the P in picky.. lol🤷🏾‍♀️🤣

I visited this restaurant for a business lunch and the service was phenomenal. The aura of this restaurant is felt from first entry. The fireplace along the wall along with all the decor makes for the perfect date night setting or a distinctive lunch. The food was extremely fresh although a tad bland. Despite that small blemish, I highly recommend this place.

Very high quality food. It's a bit pricey, but I don't think you'll be disappointed by the quality. The pineapple-glazed porkchops and redfish pontchartrain were very flavorful, and I would recommend both. The place overall has a nice, cozy, upscale atmosphere, and the staff are pretty helpful.

Tens across the Board! We had an amazing Valentine’s Day dinner at Winewood! The steak was charred yet tender, the potato was grilled with cheese, lobster raviolis sealed the deal! The staff was friendly and attentive and the restaurant was clean and inviting. We will be back!

The staff here was incredibly welcoming right from the start. We had a reservation and were seated right away. The ambiance is upscale but still relaxed—not too formal. The tomahawk ribeye was amazing, and the Brussels sprouts were just as good. Our server, Julia, was great—attentive without hovering. The only small downside was that the kitchen was a bit slow, and it took about 45 minutes for our food to come out. Other than that, everything was fantastic!

Great restaurant! Our waitress was great, and the food and drinks were amazing. Regardless of coming on a Saturday at noon, the food came out quickly. We will definitely be back. I really loved the mimosas, fruit cup, and croque madame sandwich! The salmon and omelet were great as well. Parking was very accessible!

Having a belated birthday lunch on Sunday, with my husband, the waiter is so friendly and recommend the best food to us. The Quail knot is super delicious. Went in not knowing they were at a 'steakhouse' & thankfully they were able to create some options for my daughter. Cocktails could use a little help. The New Old Fashioned, didnt do it for me. I'll stick to a well made Old Fashioned. My daughter didn't love her lemon drop either. Skip the cocktails, enjoy the food.

Everything was great! The food is delicious! Everything we ordered was outstanding from the flavor to how it was cooked. The service is on point and didn't need to find or call anyone they knew when to check in. Highly recommended Shout-out to Vic or server!

I've been here on several occasions, but this is my first time to leave a review. It's always clean. Both the dining area and bathroom were spotless. Bang-up job on the food! The spinach dip and caprese were so flavorful as was the pecan- crusted trout and cajun pasta jambalaya. And our waitress was attentive. So, high-5 Winewood!

You just can’t go wrong eating here! I’ve been here a handful of times and each time has been wonderful. This was my first time for lunch and I’m looking forward to future lunch visits. I love the atmosphere! It’s inviting, warm and upscale. From the rich, deep wood tones, the water feature, and the ladder access to the extensive wine storage, you walk in expecting a great experience and they deliver. We started with the Szechuan Calamari and we were not disappointed. The calamari was cooked perfectly, it was tender and delicious. The sriracha glaze was absolutely incredible! My son had the grilled Scottish Salmon, and it was tender and very flavorful. It was a nice cut for a lunch portion. He loved it! I ordered the Ahi Tuna. It was absolutely perfect! I’ll have a hard time trying anything else next time! That sriracha glaze - wow!!! I think I could enjoy that on anything. The dish also won my son over, he said he will order that next time. The service was impeccable. We enjoyed visiting with each other without blatant interruptions but water glasses were kept full, we were checked on regularly and allowed to eat and visit at our own pace. The statue out front makes for a fun photo op and downtown Grapevine is just down the street. Winewood is great for dinner and lunch. Make it a day and enjoy the area.

Wine wood checks all the boxes that restaurant should in order to guarantee a good time. Service, selection, ambiance, and above all great food. I had a delicious ribeye au pouvre, some great wines, several apps and even a taste of a few different desserts. Everything was superb, especially the service. One remark, although au pouvre is my preferred steak add-on, I would skip it here.

Wife and I came in for a baby moon dinner. Had a great time. Sat outside and Jennifer took great care of us. Crab cakes and lobster mac for apps, cordon bleu and the pork chop for entree. Everything was great however... dessert is a MUST. The butterscotch budino was one of the best desserts we've ever had.

An excellent place for an upscale but reasonable dining experience. Every course was plated beautifully and tasted just as good. Service was friendly and on top of everything, and the building was noticeably designed to facilitate seamless service, which is appreciated.

This was my third time to dine here and it was once again fabulous! We sat in a booth and it was very roomy and comfortable. Our waiter was awesome and a great salesman on the food menu. He knew all the answers to my questions. The appetizers and the main course were expertly prepared and served and tasted wonderful. We have been here for our team celebration dinner and impressed with the service and the variety of entrees they carried. Our team got what all they wanted to try and eat and each of them left the place happily. Took one point off for the atmosphere as we choose to pick a private room and it was indeed very private and served the purpose but somehow I though the room should have had some decor to make it more appealing. We had such a wonderful experience at Winewood Grilled! The atmosphere is beautiful, and the food was absolutely excellent. The crab cakes were outstanding — full of flavor and perfectly prepared. We also loved the tomato basil, the ribeye, and the mac and cheese. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. And the key lime pie was awesome — the perfect sweet and refreshing ending to our meal! I would definitely come back again!

Winewood has always been a favorite of mine, especially when celebrating special occasions. Valentine’s Day had several chefs specials to offer, which is the picture I have attached. It was a busy day; however, our waiter was more than accommodating & super friendly. The service here is always courteous & overall very knowledgeable on their food & drinks. The food was great even for the small wait, very well worth our time. Will be coming back again as always. We enjoyed our experience!

Went here for a friend’s birthday and really enjoyed it. The ambiance was perfect for a special night out. Highly recommend the tenderloin bruschetta, it was so delicious. I ordered the jambalaya pasta, it was well seasoned and very satisfying. They also have a great wine selection, our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and offered great recommendations to go with our food. Stopped by while waiting for my next flight. Very close to the airport. The place was very nice, with outdoor seating and plenty of shade. Service was wonderful, waiter was very helpful with the menu choices. We shared entrees since we figured they were pretty good sizes. The calamari as an appetizer were a wonderful choice. We then shared a Caesar salad and a wedge salad, both so fresh and delicious. We shared a ribeye steak which was cooked perfectly the potatoes au gratin were delicious. They even split the plates for us perfectly. We also ordered the ribs which were also a pretty big size, two of us shared that plate as well. We finished with a creme brûlée, it was good but would probably try other dessert next time. Thank you for such a wonderful lunch.

WOW! Everything was beyond good! We shared 3 plates family style with one being a special surf n turf, chicken cordon blue, and sea-bass. The espresso martini was not my favorite but by no means bad! Mac and cheese was amazing, I could get that as an entree and be more than happy! Our Shad was so helpful and knowledgeable of the menu even helping us pair wine! I cannot recommend this place enough!

An extensive wine and drink menu. The servers are educated on the wine and can recommend as well. Artichoke dip was creamy and nice. The beets salad was good. The soup of the day with cauliflower reminded me of a potato soup for some reason. Overall - it was alright. Service is pretty good. Nice ambiance, but gets too loud to hear each other. Everything was a bit overpriced. I hope waiters here are at least getting a decent wage here and not just relying on tips as their only income (after tax taken out).

The food was delicious my entire family LOVED the Gouda Mac and cheese. Very calm, upscale atmosphere. We went around 3PM and there weren’t many tables but our main course took 50 minutes to arrive and we ordered within 10 minutes of being there that’s the reason for the ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and not 5.

First and foremost, the service and vibe was top notch! For starters I had the quail knots. It was my first time having quail ever. They were 🔥. I had to order some to go. The Scottish salmon was decent, could use a little more seasoning, but wasn’t bad. For dessert I had the brookie, which was also 🔥. I will definitely be back!

The hubs and I enjoy visiting Winewood Grill for every day meals as well as special occasions. The day and time you attend will impact your overall experience. The busier nights and weekends can be a tad hectic. We prefer to visit during the day or not as popular nights. There isn't one particular dish we highly recommend. The food and service are top notch.

The food was okay, I had the Tuna which was a bit spicy. I had the crab cakes as my appetizer and they were pretty tasty. The drinks were delicious I must admit and was my favorite of the night. I will try this place again not on a holiday. It was extremely busy on valentines weekend.

The Winewood Grill in Grapevine is an absolute gem! The service was exceptional, ensuring a delightful dining experience from start to finish. The ambiance, while decent, offered a cozy and inviting atmosphere that added to the overall enjoyment of the evening. Now, let's talk about their extensive wine list - it's a wine lover's paradise! The selection is vast and impressive, catering to various tastes and preferences. As for the food, it was fantastic. The mac and cheese were rich and comforting, the calamari perfectly crispy and flavorful, and the salmon? Simply divine! Each dish was expertly prepared, showcasing quality ingredients and impeccable culinary skills. A definite go-to spot for a delightful meal with an extensive selection of wines to complement every bite.

The place has diverse cuisine and impressive service. We tasted several small plates and the wagyu strip entree. My favorite was seared ahi tuna and quail knots. Szechuan calamari was not bad but should be spicier to live up to the name of Szechuan. Oyster Rockefeller used Parmesan cheese which I guess is a modern interpretation of the dish but I personally do not like the sharp taste of parmesan. It also overpowered the flavor of oysters. Wagyu strip was a letdown. First, it took unexpectedly too long to arrive at the table, and second, I was expecting more of a buttery taste and a tender texture, but the one we had was a slightly firm texture and did not come with that rich flavor of a wagyu beef. The crab mac and cheese came with it was great. Lastly, the smoked Wine+Wood cocktail was pronominal.

Great food and good atmosphere. We sat outside and had a hard time seeing. They turned on faux candles, but it was still too dim. The surrounding restaraunts had outdoor heaters and Winewood didn't. It would have made the entire experience better if we got to enjoy our meal more comfortably.

Overall an enjoyable experience . . . however so close to 5 stars and yet so far away. The positive followed by negative across our experience. Arrived 8 minutes ahead of reservation and told to hang out and would receive a text when ready to seat us "closer to our reservation time" only to never get a text and ultimately check in and be seated 10 minutes after the reservation. Attractive but a bit dated environment, however, on a Saturday night incredibly loud with many large parties making it hard to carry on a conversation. Took a very long time for a bottle of wine to start only to be offered a different bottle than ordered. Highlight of the evening was the main course, however, the lobster ravioli arrived room temperature (refire was fantastic but staggered the meal). Noted a special occasion on reservation but such was never acknowledged by anyone. Plating and presentation of food was strong throughout all courses. Best course was the entree course. Seafood trio was the best of the best. Will be back to give Winewood a second try. Perhaps a less busy night will yield a more consistent experience from start to finish.

Winewood is a great spot for brunch and I highly recommend this restaurant. It’s better to make a reservation since the place gets real busy especially over the weekend. There is a live band inside the restaurant with patio seating as well. There are interesting cocktails on the brunch menu along with a bottle of sparkling wine option. The tenderloin bruschetta and Smoked Gouda Mac were great appetizers. Everyone enjoyed the main course at our table. The steak was cooked right but not one of the best flavors and is the only reason for the 4 stars. The Texas Size Cinnamon Roll tasted great and can feed a large table. Pricing : Moderate Will I return? : Definitely. It’s made it to my favorite brunch spots.

Winewood Grill is a moderate restaurant with a pleasant ambiance and nice seating arrangements. Despite it being a busy night, the service was commendable, adding to the overall enjoyable dining experience. We had the pleasure of trying the Chilean sea bass, which we found to be an excellent choice. Moreover, my daughter ordered the chicken cordon bleu for the first time and absolutely loved it. As for my own dish, I opted for the pecan and parmesan crusted trout, which was expertly topped with a flavorful citrus beurre blanc sauce and served with steamed broccoli (a bit overcooked). The combination of flavors was truly exceptional. Panseared lump crab cakes served with Cajun lobster sauce were good. In general, I found the food at Winewood Grill to be of high quality, and the prices were quite reasonable considering the overall dining experience offered. I would highly recommend this restaurant to friends and family looking for a memorable meal in a delightful setting.

I went to Winewood today for brunch. This is my second time there and the other was dinner about a month ago. Both times could be reviewed basically the same way. The atmosphere is really nice. Today at brunch they had live music. A solo guitar player that was good too. The food is really good and priced competitive with other places of same like and quality. The concern is staffing. Service is poor. Both times we visited. And not just because of the lack of staff, but the staff needs to become attentive to their stations. Today’s waiter brought our water and then never came back to get our order. Even though he passed by our table 2x never stopped. I even called his name as he walked away. Later he apologized and said they were short staff! Not sure we will give it another chance.

The one star removed is for the hostess - brunette lady , who worked on 12/14/25 around 11:30-12p. Not personable, a little rude and is not a good person to have to initially greet guests at an establishment

Winewood grill is an amazing restaurant in Dallas and serve great options of food and drinks. The place is an upscale restaurant and the ambience is quite good for business or romantic dinners. The bar area is also very good and have a huge choice of beer, wine and cocktails. Although grill house they have a good variety of meat and fish and they serve amazing food. The presentation and taste were both amazing.

I attended a a birthday dinner, huge turnout. We had a preselected menu to choose from so I will have to go back on my own to try what I want. We had appetizers, salads, entrees and desserts. I wasn’t impressed with the appetizers or the salad that I had. I did enjoy the chicken and mashed potatoes for my entree. The servers never refilled my beverage, and a couple seemed to be overwhelmed and over the huge party.

We came here for a work dinner with high expectations based on reviews. The service wasn't great and slightly awkward at times. We ordered: 1. Calamari - based on reviews this should have been great so not sure how this went so wrong. This was my first visit to the Winewood Grill, but it did not live up to expectations. Basically, the atmosphere is great, but the taste/flavor of the food was below average. I could not recommend this restaurant when there are so many near by that can exceed this restaurant food.

Party of six, My husband had Seabass & wedge salad-We all ate the same thing the night before no one got sick except for my husband 30 minutes after dinner. I called the restaurant and tried to explain. I believed his food wasn't cooked properly as he's the only one who is throwing up and he is still throwing up 24 hours later. They are just pushing it off as not their fault I told them either their lettuce has E. coli or their Seabass salmonella. They refuse to compensate at least his dinner left a bad taste in our mouth/pun intended!

The atmosphere was lovely. Our meal was disappointing and Jordan, our server has room for improvement. First off, our server didn't bother to introduce herself. After 2 interactions, we had to ask for her name. Secondly she didn't tell us the Soup of the Day. We had to ask what it was. She took our 1st course orders and our entree orders separately so there was a 20-25 minute wait between the two courses. The Chicken Pot Pie Soup and the Spinach and Strawberry Salad were quite tasty. My 14 oz rib eye steak was cooked Medium Rare instead of Medium. The garlic mashed potatoes were dry, bland and the garlic was undercooked and crunchy. The bacon wrapped greens were burnt to a crisp and totally disappointing. We really should have said something to the Manager, but we didn't want to make a fuss. My husband's Cajun Jambalaya Pasta was heavy on pasta and short on chicken, shrimp and andouille sasage. Overall I wouldn't recommend spending $100 here for a below average meal.

To be clear, I would have absolutely no complaints if this restaurant marketed and priced itself properly. It’s not expensive, but overpriced. The base steaks seemed to be USDA Choice quality at best, and considering the “Wagyu” is truly just “American Wagyu” (very different), it is heavily overpriced for what it is. Typically when the food is overpriced, it’s due to an upscale atmosphere/ambience, which is what Winewood’s website tries to portray; however, this restaurant’s atmosphere is only a slight step above Chili’s, maybe on par with Cheesecake Factory. Steak, sides, pasta, all very bland. If you’re going here with the budget to spend on their Wagyu, you’d be better off going to an actual high end steakhouse, like Nick & Sam’s, and simply getting their basic sirloin. Similarly priced, but their basic sirloin quality outperforms Winewood’s “Wagyu” with a significantly better atmosphere. If you’re going with the budget of their base steaks, and don’t care about atmosphere, just go to Texas Roadhouse. If you’re going with a budget for their base steaks, and want a slightly better atmosphere than Chili’s or Texas Roadhouse, just go to Cheesecake Factory or Saltgrass.

This was our first time visiting, 11/10/25 around 3:40pm. The restaurant was clean and the food presentation was nice. We walked in without a reservation around 3:40-3:45 PM and were given the dinner menu. I had called earlier, and the lady on the phone mentioned lunch is served until 4 PM, but our server, Rico, said lunch was no longer available, even though it was before 4. That was frustrating and confusing. When we were seated, the water he poured had something floating in it, but he replaced it promptly. I ordered a Sprite, but it tasted weak, so I switched to a Dr. Pepper, which was a little better. For the food, the crab cakes were lukewarm and just ok. We had high hopes for them, I think it would’ve been better had they been hot. My Pontchartrain platter looked fine, but didn’t impress me flavor-wise. The fish was unseasoned in my opinion. I tried adding salt, but something was still missing. My boyfriend’s BBQ pork ribs were decent according to him; he rated them about 3.5 stars, and the sauce was slightly spicy but just ok. Dessert, the crème brûlée and brownie was good. Overall, it was an expensive meal that we didn’t find very memorable, it was just ok.

I ordered steak salad and oysters. The steak was the blandest steak I've ever had. No taste at all! And the salad was drowned in blue cheese and it was impossible to eat. My friend ordered BBQ ribs. It was extremely spicy that we couldn't even take more than two bites! And it wasn't listed in the menue how spicy the ribs were gonna be! Oysters were also drowned in blue cheese that you couldn't taste anything else and just left a very bad aftertaste. I was surprised how bad everything tasted in this gorgeous looking restaurant!

We arrived last night. The staff was friendly but other than our waitress being polite, our dining experience was awful. The food was extremely mediocre and without flavor. It started off with a kid at our table getting a cracked water glass which exploded in his hands. That could have easily ended our night in the hospital but luckily he just a scratch. We thought the kid maybe held his glass too tight but after that happened, we noticed one of our beer glassses had a crack in it. We had to ask them to replace the glass. They ended up charging us twice for the beer. The food itself just was not that good. The Ceasar salad was rediculous. The beet salad was underwhelming. The risotto had zero flavor-. Our friend ordered oysters and did not touch it. The trout - it was just OK. The kids burger was unedible. We threw it away. The only thing we liked were the fries. We left overpaying and unsatisfied.

I brought my wife to this BEAUTIFUL resturant on 9/20/25 for her Birthday. We sat outside under the stars which was so cool!!! The appetizers were good, we had quail knots( requested no bacon) and crab cakes which were delicious. What I didn't understand was why did the server bring us fresh silverware but place them on our table( we were outside) without napkins.. Just sat them on the unsanitized table as they came???? I politely asked another server walking by for some clean silverware. We ordered a rack of lamb and cajun pasta for our main course along with asparagus, gouda mac & cheese, brussel sprouts, and potatoes. I ordered the rack of lamb well done. It was burnt on the outside but was very much rare when I cut into it which was a complete bummer. My wife enjoyed her pasta might i add but upon trying the gouda mac & cheese I discovered it had bacon in it. The menu doesn't specify that bacon is added to the gouda mac & cheese but it was in ours. I pointed this out to the server who said he didn't know why the bacon was added. I don't know why it was added either so I asked for our check. This establishment needs to make sure their servers are more attentive and that the cooks don't randomly decide to add things to food that are not specified on the menu, especially considering allergies and possibly religious beliefs . We will not be returning

As you can see from their flaccid response, they fail in leadership and restaurant management by missing every opportunity to make a mistake meaningful better.] Our family chose Winewood Grill for what we hoped would be a memorable Christmas dinner in the “Christmas Capital of Texas.” With seven of us celebrating together and a bill exceeding $700, we anticipated an evening that matched both the reputation of Grapevine during the holidays and the warm, festive charm of the restaurant’s main dining areas. To Winewood’s credit, the atmosphere upon entry was exactly what we were hoping for..beautifully decorated, lively, warm, and filled with holiday energy. Christmas lights, music, and a bustling dining room set the perfect tone. Unfortunately, the experience shifted dramatically when we were led through that inviting space and into a stark, undecorated back room that felt more like a corporate meeting space than part of a holiday dining experience. The lighting was harsh, the décor nonexistent, and the silence (aside from the sound of silverware being retrieved from storage in the same room) was genuinely uncomfortable. Instead of a festive Christmas dinner, it felt like we had been placed in overflow seating with no ambiance at all. For an occasion as special as a family Christmas meal, this was a significant disappointment. Our server, to his credit, was excellent—friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and confident in his recommendations. We ordered the special surf-and-turf entrée, all cooked medium-rare. While everyone else’s meals arrived correctly, mine was extremely overcooked...very very well-done by any standard. I almost never send food back, but given the price point and special occasion, it needed to be right. What followed was the most discouraging part of the evening. It took over 20 minutes for my replacement entrée to arrive, during which the rest of my family had nearly finished eating. When the corrected plate finally came, it arrived without the “turf,” requiring another wait. The person who brought it wasn’t our original waiter and offered little acknowledgment of the disruption. There was no apology, no offer of a small bite while waiting, and no gesture on the bill...not even something as simple as removing the cost of the entrée that had delayed the entire experience. It was treated as casually as forgetting to refill a water glass. At this price point, and for a holiday dinner meant to be special, the lack of accommodation made the mistake feel much larger than it had to be. Scores Ambience: 1/5 (Main dining room: beautiful. Assigned room: completely opposite.) Value: 2/5 (A $700+ meal should never feel this uneven.) Food: 4/5 (When prepared correctly, very good.) Friendliness & Accommodation: 2/5 (Great server, but no recovery effort from the kitchen or management.) Winewood Grill clearly has the potential to deliver a wonderful dining experience. The entrance and main areas show that. But placement in a stark back room with no atmosphere, combined with a mishandled entrée and no meaningful service recovery, made what should have been a special Christmas dinner feel disappointing and awkward. I don’t enjoy posting negative reviews, but this experience missed nearly every mark that a holiday evening of this cost and intention should meet. With some attention to guest placement and more proactive service recovery, Winewood could have turned this into a very different review.
