With a relative in the nearby hospital waiting room over the lunch hour, we needed sustinance. Off of our normal beaten path, I opted to try Church's. I'm happy to report that the effort was worth every penny. Great food. Fast takeout service dispensed by good people behind the scenes. We'll be back.
Don't know about service but the food is good. Fried ocra, jalapeño poppers and corn on the cob are great different sides and the chix cut dif too. Love it.
First time eating from here. I'm a lifelong fan of KFC but their food is subpar lately and I cant afford to feed my family because of the huge increase in prices. The two piece meal for under 4 bucks was great. The people were nice ......sorry for the atmosphere rating but it was not very relevant anyways. Small store with a few tables....older. They need to redo the floor, but that's the worst part. Ill be going back. Update: just as good the second time
We did online ordering and drive thru pickup. The food is always good but the new spicy chicken is off the chain!!!!! Glad a fast food place has the gumption to offer something extremely tasty and satisfying without dumbing down the hot spice. You go Churches!!! I am a fan!!!!
In the past years 2022 and 2023 churches' chicken had fallen off badly. I went just the other day Jan. 2024 they are now open later in the day time . Food was on point like in the 90's and they changed the shape of the chicken breast so it's bigger. Apple pies always great! Staff was nice ,store was clean inside and outside. Even the customers coming and going was nice. 12 piece all white. Hut right at 40.00 but it's worth.
Hadn’t had Church’s in years (don’t eat much chicken) but it was my favorite when living in SC. I decided to go while visiting last month and I’m glad I did! It was SO delicious! Marinated just right, cooked in fresh oil and my son practically ate a WHOLE family sized okra 😆. The employees were so friendly and warm. Now back in MD and already craving more!
This was mine and my husband’s first time coming here and I must say that I am extremely impressed with the customer service! All of the staff members were very friendly and they made sure that all our food was fresh! We knew that there would be a wait but we didn’t mind at all! They apologized for the wait and made sure that we had everything that we ordered! We will definitely be returning! This will be our new Church’s from here on out. 5/5 stars! ⭐️
Chicken was hot and fresh! Customer service was spectacular under the extreme heat that the employees had to work in. Management seriously needs to repair what is broken. Customers waited outside. I am concerned about employees working long periods in that heat. Still a good store . Will return.

When I say I had the BEST DRIVE THRU EXPERIENCE I COULD EVER HAD! I mean that from the top and bottom of my heart …the manager Nelissa and Promise the rep took GOODT care of me…Food was fresh and hot, omg freshness of the food was sooo magnificent! The quality was there not too gresy! Made just right!!! Not over exaggerating.. 10/10 highly recommend…Ms. Nelissa and her team will get you right…I’m coming back SOON AND VERY SOON…they are very personsable! Grade A customer service!!! When to this location August 23, 2025. The service was not bad. Drive thru always jumping!! I noticed they made some personnel changes since the last time!!! Just Saying!!!!!!!💯❤️
The lobby was closed around 6-7pm. Not sure why but we were able to get our food pretty fast. The chicken tasted a little old but it was still decent.
My experience was great! The customer service that was provided by Tyshundra and Jazz was extremely exceptional considering how busy the restaurant was. My food itself was bussing per usual and definitely recommended for any occasion!

You can't go inside the restaurant, it looks filthy on the outside, I can imagine what the inside looks like, that's why no one is allowed to enter. I did not get anything because I can't see how they are fixing it. Ppl hanging out outside smoking looking nasty and filthy....then walk back in and fix your food🤢...I think not.

We had to wait because our order was quite large..lol.. two 10 piece family meal that seemed to aggravate the drive-thru worker. When the nice, short, and compassionate manager came. She made up for the rudeness of her worker! I STILL LOVE CHURCHES CHICKEN!
I went at the peak of lunch, and the cashier said I had to wait 15min for the chicken. I said ok and paid then she parked me. I waited 15min and I saw the line started moving car after car so I went and she told me that she forgot that she had parked me. She didn't even tell the cook to drop my bombers so I had to wait another 10min because it took the cook 5min later to drop them, so all in all, I waited 25min. The chicken was hot, but I don't know who is back there cooking because they are not on their job. The biscuits were not up to par, and the cashier is in a daze.
Pulled at this location there were 2 cars at the window and 4 cars at speaker and beyond. There were 2 employees outside which should have deterred me from the beginning. I wanted to feed my grandchildren so I waited . While waiting to place my order a 3rd employee joins the 2 employees outside of the unit. I was greeted with a very friendly voice who did a awesome job at the entire experience... placed my large order which totaled $78... the food came out in a timely manner for the amount of food I purchased. However I didn't check the order until I reached my destination!!! You guessed it left items out!!! Okra and it was lukewarm... but I get it the employees outside were too busy to ensure Great customer service unlike the one lady I interacted with... please offer some sort of compensation!!

The quality of their chicken has gone down while their prices rise. It's a pain in the neck that the only way to place an order is through the drive thru! Customers should be able to order inside, the lines in the drive thru are too long for the dining room not to be open to place orders!
Stopped here on a whim, since it was on the way to our destination. The crew seemed to be really struggling. We waited around 25 minutes for the crew to handle two prior customers, and our own order of a single chicken sandwich and fries. The one who ate the food had no complaints on taste or quality. Don't think we'll be back unless we see no line . . . and even then???
Ordered online. Arrived 5 minutes after the app told me the order was ready. Order was for 10 piece legs and thighs. Out of legs, order not ready, at all (no sides, biscuits, no tenders) was told it would be a 15 minute wait to get legs. My child went to the restroom and came out saying there was no soap. The young man picking orders said, "Yeah he's right. I was in there a little while ago and there's no soap." The app is misleading in its pricing as the "deals" shown list the number of included sides but don't include the cost of the sides. The "spicy" isn't, it's just some watered down sauce they squirt over the regular chicken. The regular chicken is bland and the thighs were small, loaded with fat, and so heavily breaded they looked large. Thanks but no thanks.
I was very disappointed with the drive through service. The individual working the window needs to only wait on one customer at a time. I ordered regular chicken for my spouse with sides and chicken fingers for my self and an extra order of fried okra and drinks. The side orders with the chicken were incorrect and I never got the extra order fried okra. The person at the window was asked if everything was there and she replied “Honey, everything is in the boxes”. I left (my fault) without checking the order. I lived over an hour away and wanted to attempt to get home before the order got cold. We are new to the Spartanburg/Greenville area and I sure hope the next time I am in Greenville doing business the service is improved. By the way, why is the Spartanburg restaurant still closed?
They had no dining in available. Online orders for inside only pickup. The employee poured my drink and did not put any ice in it so I went to get ice myself at the drink and ice machine no ice there well. The inside look very dirty. The order that was placed by me was not ready as I came in.

Everything about the meal just wasn’t good at all. After sitting in the drive through for 15 minutes, had to pull up and wait for my food, which I expected everything to be fresh since I had to pull up & wait! Only thing that was fresh was the chicken sandwich which wasn’t all that great. My fries were cold! The chicken wings were massive & looked unappetizing! Didn’t even look like a chicken wing! It was very off putting. The chicken leg was very bland itself. Everything was just a huge disappointment. Discarded the whole meal once I got home. The only good thing was the biscuit.

Very disappointed, I ordered the feed 6 special with 2 large sides and biscuits. The mashed potatoes came in a small styrofoam drinking cup with the gravy already on them. They were like soup and only enough for 2 people, the fried okra was good but only enough for 3 people. The chicken was not fresh and was hard. This was like flushing $23.00 down the drain.
I had the worst service ever in a long time. There were 3 cars in the drive through. So I decided to park and go inside but the doors were locked at 7pm. So I got back in line for the drive thru. Sat in line for over 40 mins for only 2 cars to move up. And the 2nd car was waiting at the speaker to order 30 mins. The was 6 cars behind me. Three employees came outside and sat and smoked cigarettes watching the cars in line. No respect to say if anything happened inside for the delay or nothing. It doesn't take that long to cook chicken especially if you know it's a busy time of the evening. So I left and went to the other establishment across town and ordered my food and everything in only 15 mins. I believe management needs to take a look at what's going on with the workers and see why it took so long here. I'm very disappointed for this location. Unbelievable bad service.
Came today to get 6 fresh apple pies to be handled very rudely by the girl taking my order in drive through! Being there was a glare from the sun shining the menu it looked like there was a 6pk of apple pies but no worries I also asked for extra icing because they barely put any icing on the last time! At that point you could hear the girls tone change so I just pulled on up to the window! At that point it about 3 min for anyone to come to the window being Dafney was sitting on the stool on her phone and the other girl was not in sight! Finally the girl comes to the window and stated the price so i asked I thought you had have six pk the girl copped an attitude saying no we only have a 4pk and so I added 2 more um excuse me there is no need for the attitude it looked like your menu said 6pk she says I don’t have attitude um all the hand movement and head wobbling back and forth is definitely an attitude!! So I no linger wanted her to do anything so I asked for the manager and again here she goes with all the head rolling to say she right here I said ik! Then Dafney after completing another oder comes to the window took my payment the asked me to pull up um no mam let’s address the attitude mam Dafney then says she didn’t have an attitude then started bashing me saying you always have an attitude you use to work here so you should know we don’t have a 4pk of pies whooooa wait a min first of all I worked there over 18 years ago and second life is to short to have an attitude about pies anyway lol and 3rd of all what do me working there 18yrs ago have to do with anything ? I say I see why that girl has an attitude because she follows your lead as the manager Gm whatever your position is Dafney!! Dafney your just coming back hunnie so I haven’t even seen you and I question why they brought you back because the other manager and there employees are and where always much more pleasant than you and that little disrespectful girl you have taking orders for you! Came by to grab some lunch. It was over an hour after they were open when I tried to order and they said they wouldn't be able to start cooking for about another hour. They lady at the drive-thru wasn't the friendliness of people. You could hear in her voice she didn't want to be there.
Don’t come here this place unless u want to wait 1 hour to be served evertime I go their they saying they don’t have chicken up already and they also said they were short staff yesterday, but the problem i faced was why did they not just dropped a lot of chicken that way you don’t run out. Another is that they have customers waiting for hours in drive thru. So you telling me once that person gets their food they have to drop more chicken and let the other customers wait. Then if it hits closing time they don’t want to serve. But I went inside all employees were playing around two were cleaning and the other was take order up front.

Trying new places after moving to Greenville SC. The first time here and never again. The cashier Lalar W rudely and I also didn’t got what I order.i also aske to have two orders of coleslaw and I got one I asked for the second and I got charged $3 for a small bowl. I don't know what's going on with churches lately I understand their worker's are under paid and probably understaffed but dang went to this location yesterday after smelling it realized I hadn't had it in a while my receipt says 4:47 PM got home and realized I was missing jalapenos, biscuits dry, and the smell I smelt that initially drew me fooled me when I tasted the chicken it wasn't brined long enough so it just tasted like deep fried flour, grease, and meat no flavor tried to call no answer, went to the drive-thru they never answered, went up to the drive-thru window no one came and the window was greasy full of fingerprints I would go to the second location but that one is trash as well from the reviews if churches has gotten this bad just go ahead and close our last two locations like they closed the other two we use to have cause clearly people are just there for the little money they offer to pay close to $30 for a bunch of nothing smh

This experience has left me deeply disappointed and hesitant to revisit or recommend Churches Chicken to anyone seeking a pleasant dining experience. Quality customer service and hygiene are paramount in the food industry, and regrettably, this visit did not meet even the most basic expectations.
The filthiest place in Greenville! If you’ve never been in you need to go and I bet when you see how nasty it is you won’t eat there again! I know me and my family never will. One look around and we walked out! This place needs to be tore down and rebuilt.
I would have given them a zero. I placed an online order about 2 months ago or longer. My pickup time was 1:30pm. When I arrived at the restaurant, I was informed that they were closed due to not having a cook. I contacted corporate because my card was charged for the order, and they would not refund me my money, which was over $50!
Absolutely terrible service! Waited 10 mins at the speaker and nobody took my order and there was nobody in front of me at the windows. The person behind me drove around me to the windows and they took the order and ignored me. Please hire some ADULTS.
I live just across the road from this location my family and I always have come to this one. I find it so easy to me walk by here. I order twice a year like this in 2022 I go for fresh tender and biscuits. Sadly say tonight's night shift was that friendly. Sorry, our lobby closed they said twice to me. I would have ordered Inside and I would been happy to walk around through the drive-thru if there was so rude about the lobby being closed.
I hope this place closes ASAP, finding a roach walking in the kitchen is wild + the slow employees who decided to check my order 35 minutes later before i already walked out
The drive thru line was so backed up that cars were hanging out onto Augusta! The drive thru line took 45 minutes to get to the window! When I got home and opened the box, I had a box of grease! It was disgusting!! I wrapped the chicken in paper towels and squeezed it and it was still greasy. Never again!!
Worst service ever! Door Dashed my food and the Dasher was literally waiting 45min on my food and had to leave because they wouldn't let him inside to get it! They had to send another Dasher to retrieve my order only to have them wait as well and would not let them inside to grab my food yet again! At this point, my lunch shift is about over and I'm livid at this point. I called to find out why they wouldn't let the Dashers inside and they wouldn't pick up, saying the call couldn't connect! This is the second time this has happened and I will no longer be ordering food from them again unless it's from a different area because Augusta St church's sucks! Oh and by the time I got my food, it was cold!!

they weren’t even looking at the dashing thing & everyone was js in a bad mood in general everyone behind the counter tryna act like they’re doing something and weren’t. Then an employee walked out, they wasnt tryna serve new people & it just took extremely too long in general. The customers were agitated & very annoyed because of the wait & look in the back it’s plenty of chicken.
Service is horrible. The workers are lazy. They are always behind. You place an order online come after the time for pickup and you still have an additional 30-45min wait for your food. The workers have very nasty attitudes. The store needs a lot of work.

Employees aint NEVER in the restaurant servicing customers and if they are in there, they NEVER have chicken dropped! And if they just so happen to have any chicken at all, it takes them 20 minutes just to fix the order because they definitely be in there lollygagging and parlaying like they dont even have a job to do! I never understood why they closed the one on Poinsett Highway down because that was the BEST store in Greenville! It might have been in the hood but you best believe chicken was dropped on a regular and service was top tier. You never was there for 20-30 minutes UNLESS they told you they just dropped fresh chicken. And only because of that, the wait time was always worth it! Church’s chicken need to do BETTER!
Customer Service is TERRIBLE. I heard them talking to an older lady with such rudeness and all she was doing was asking simple questions. When I came up to the window , it was no greeting . Straight to the point , “we don’t have this and that & close at 7”. I gave them my order and told her I didn’t mind waiting . They had me to repeat my sauces , I did just that. I notice a change in tone (aggravation) . I get to the window , & she stared at me like there was a problem . Just rude . And Also , hanging out IN the window with her phone out . Definitely won’t come back to this location again
I went there to get something. The doors were locked around 7, so I knocked a bunch. Then, an employee pointed me to the drive-thru. Cool, whatever. But when I got to the window, a lady dressed like a dude told me to wait because she was on a call. I waited 20 minutes and left without my food. Seriously, the service was awful. I'd never recommend that place to anyone.
The people who work here are very tired and do not offer you a good service, super slow, they laugh at you if you ask for a quick service, the bathroom smells like Weed and if it could not give rating in the terrible service, it would not do it 0 stars.

Waited 12 minutes at the drive thru speaker before anyone said anything but they only said to give them a minute. After 12 minutes you shouldn’t need anymore time. Needs to close down immediately

I won't be going back until there's significant change. I just got home with my order, 3 piece chicken, 2 sandwiches, okra, fries, chicken wrap and pie. I waited in line a whole hour and didn't receive all of my sides. This isn't the first time that the wait was long but not to receive all of the food that cost almost $30! I'm done! It's not worth it and the chicken isn't the same as it used to be. Go somewhere else!!!
I’m not sure why EVERY TIME you go here, you have to be in line for 30 mins minimum. The employees are rude and the drive thru times has to be at least 25 mins a car. Shut the place down already
I got in the drivethru line right at 7pm. Here it is 8:11pm and I am asking for a refund after waiting over an hour and nothing is ready. This night shift on Augusta St in Greenville, SC is poorly ran and needs to be closed down. No explanation as to the long wait and then refused to give me my $1 back after telling me I’ll have to wait an additional 10mins for Mac and cheese after an hour of sitting at drive thru window. I will never return to this location. Horrible horrible experience. Workers are in their phone; in and out the restaurant and no one is washing their hands. Raunchy music is playing that I can hear at drive thru window.
Went to this church’s tonight the store was very nasty and I had to wait over 45 min on my food in the drive thru I decided to go in just to see what’s going on and the manager in the store was very unprofessional playing loud music instead of worrying about getting orders out there was at least 6 cars in the line and even a few customers in the lobby. The lady in the drive thru was very helpful trying her best to help get us situated other then that everything else was very out of order but I would not recommend
The store was very nasty and the manager was very rude. There were customers standing there for 45 mins and longer without even being told that there would be a wait. It was three people in there working other than the suppose to be manager, and the only one tried to help was the young lady at the drive thru. She was very pleasant doing the drive thru and speaking to us in the lobby. Me my mom & my children decided to leave after waiting 1 hr for chicken.
"Poor service and discrimination. Today at 2:30 PM, the woman working the Drive-thru window with the headset was incredibly rude and started screaming at me while I was picking up a DoorDash order. She was mocking me and laughing with her coworkers in the kitchen. I felt discriminated against for being a White Latina. Even the customers in the lobby were uncomfortable with her yelling. Avoid this place if you want to be treated with respect."
First time at this store, and honestly, it was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. The door was locked even though there were two employees inside. There were about six cars stuck in the drive-thru and three DoorDash drivers waiting for orders. No one acknowledged anyone — they wouldn’t come to the window, wouldn’t explain what was going on, nothing. The 2 employees just walked around inside like zombies. Eventually, three of the DoorDash drivers gave up and left, and people outside started honking their horns. I’ve never seen anything like it. Completely unprofessional and pretty pathetic. I was one of the door dash drivers. I left. Never ate there and never would. Mind you the windows of drive thru were so covered in grease I never would want to eat there!!
Waited an hour for food. The staff in the back was standing around talking and laughing rather than working. Do not come here is you need food quickly.
Go here if you love to be screamed at cussed at and ignored. And if you love your food with employees bare hands touching it go here. And to the lovely women working there last night who I have a 25 min video of treating me like crap that wouldn’t give me your name, it’s all good babygirl I sent it into corporate 😘
We ordered online at 421pm. With 5 minute drive and long drivethru line, It's now 5:19pm and we're at the drivethru speaker, no lobby access, everyone goes thru drivethru. Once you tell them name on order you have to wait another est 20 minutes. Only 2 people working, attitudes abound and now it's gonna take the 20 more minutes to pack. Only ordered 6 piece wings. This is the 2nd time. First time we gave them the benefit of the doubt. I cant even comment on the food yet. Stayed because it was paid for online and didn't want to have to figure out how to get the refund. Get these people some help and proper management.
OMG girl if you want quick service do not come here. I waited 56min for 2 pieces of chicken and fries. The girl at the window rude too.
1, because -5 not available. Placed an online order, prepaid through Church's website, and was provided a PU time. Arrived inside @ PU area & was told I had to wait in line & my order would be made when I got to the front. 27 min. after my scheduled PU time, I asked for a refund and was told to call corporate. I pointed out to the lead cashier that they were not following the rules of their own employer so he must be the new CEO. His manager backed him up an told me to leave & have a nice day. BTW doordash driver treated the same, and told me she won't take orders for them but it was an add on. Called corp and got my refund & they apologized for the behavior of the employees.
Man who was breading chicken with painted finger nails and glasses was on the phone while working. He was also swearing at customers and defending why people were waiting 45 minutes for their food. Refused to give his name. He always has an attitude with customers. There is no reason why anyone should have to wait 45 minutes for food, especially during lunch. Bad worker with a horrible attitude and bad time management. He needs to be fired.
39 minute wait with two cars in front of me. Then when I get up front they say an additional 20 minute wait with an attitude and say ugh when I am being as polite as possible. Don’t know why they were so rude when I was the one waiting.
24.00 for two 2 piece dark with over cooked hard chicken, mac and cheese was burnt and my son was given about 10 fries if that many. I was also not given a receipt. Spinx chicken is cheaper an better.
Was at the one in Greenville Augusta RD. We pulled up as soon as we got out of the car a woman sticks her head out the drive thru window and starts yelling at us cause she was the only one working. Well she could've been polite about it but instead her attitude would be enough to piss anyone off. With that kind of service I will be telling others about it.
Would give zero stars if I could. The staff there are extremely rude and slow. They would rather stand around and talk to each other and laugh, than do their job. Even the manager stood around and watched as the line piled up in the lobby. It took them 10 minutes just to take my order and then another 20 minutes to fulfill it. Eventually, I just walked out because I felt extremely disrespected. When I asked about my order, one of the staff members looked at me, laughed and kept walking. Do not go here unless you want terrible customer service.
I place a order for my employees all the orders came wrong the box with spicy chicken didn’t come with spicy chicken we ordered 3 chicken tenders and got 2 on one box the other box we order chicken tender and just got fried chicken a leg and a thigh. Horrible!! If you buy from here make sure you look and see if your order is correct.
Two people I encountered there were very rude. I ask for something specific but she gave me what pieces of chicken she wanted me to have. When I advised her that I was suppose to have all legs. Man you would had thought she had to fry more chicken to give it to me. Simply rude for no reason but I guess churches hiring anyone to keep the doors open. Sad, need to find decent help who has better customer service skills.
If I could give them 0 stars I would. This place is horrible and as Im reading prev reviews they NEVER takes accountability for there fault and should be shut down! I visited on 9/19 at 5pm. Ordered a family okra and apple pie. However I receive a large okra in a paper bag and a strawberry cheesecake pie (allergic to strawberries). I noticed after I took a bit riding down the road , pulled to side and immediately vomited. I spoke to manager DAFFNEY after calling about 15 times with no answer! Expressed my concern , requested corporate office number, she advised me that's there's no number and I had to visit the website on the back of the receipt which happened to be just a survey! However she said she'd pass my name and number along and would service the employees to always keep the pies separated. What a joke! Never heard from anyone. I could have died but who's concerned. I called today spoke with DAFFNEY once more requesting corporate number. Never provided only to say, she'd spoke to the employees and they stated they advised me that they only had strawberry that day ( never happened) however when I spoke to her on the 17th she stated ...OMG, I will inform to keep those pies separated , I'm so sorry( not that they only had strawberry that day) accountability for this restaurant starts now!!
