The Grill offers delicious food, beautiful golf course views, and excellent service, especially from staff like Katie. Popular for steaks, grilled ahi, and fish tacos. Some note mixed service and occasional food mix-ups.

Great food and service. Beautiful views. Better reserve a table for a dinner.
Great experience! Fresh salads, tasty everything else that we ordered!
Great place to eat/ Dine,. Good chef manager and cook Don't golf
Good food, mixed drinks, beers and great service
Great place was taken there for my birthday
We are a group of 8 but all our orders were given almost all of the same time. Food is of big portions and delicious. Service is fast.
Great spot! Had wonderful service, an excellent menu, and amazing views of the beautiful golf course. Highly recommend for a Groveland lunch/dinner.
Margherita pizza was quick and delicious, and so was the beer. Service was also quick and courteous. Prices were reasonable. Relaxing atmosphere.
Great service and view. The crab and shrimp cocktail was huge and fresh and the seared tuna with crispy rice cake was perfectly cooked and delicious.
A great place to eat. Great food and it's so beautiful up there overlooking the amazing gold course.
The experience was phenominal. Our waitress was rad. The steak was humongous. Five out of 5 tomahawk steaks. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Had the tomahawk steak it was out of this world the best steak I've ever had and the garlic mashed potatoes where a delicious side to go with it and the service and atmosphere was awesome. Would highly recommend
Very good food; loved the seating and the atmosphere. Incredible way to finish out the day
Great waitstaff, great food, friendly atmosphere, lovely scenic views
The Tuna is always Fantastic, also love splitting the tomahawk, they always bring an extra plate with potatoe choice and veggies 😋
Wonderful food and a great view from the deck
Awesome views of the Sierras. Good menu and value. Decent wine list. Plenty of parking.
Fun atmosphere, beautiful location, good food and drinks and even better service. Highly recommend!
Excellent, food, service! Views are great also. I would definitely recommend. 😊
Decent food for a golf course. I wouldn't have expected. It also quite a bit of breakfast/brunch options so great if you're a morning golfer or with someone that golfs and looking to grab something to eat.
So happy the grill is back full swing. Google has not updated there open hours so I just call before I plan to go. Calamari is the bomb. Drinks are on point with Jamie and Graham. View is fantastic as well
Love it here, beautiful views with great food!! We love to sit on the patio after golf.
The food was delicious! We ordered ahi tuna and pork chops with pineapple salsa. The plating was beautiful (Sorry I didn't take a pic). Also The staff was very nice!
Beautiful views. Food was decent. Really did not care for the cocktail that I ordered.
I had fun. My friend was sitting in on lead guitar for the band last Saturday night. I met some nice people. Also seen some old friends. Good fun! I recommend!
We tried salmon with pistachio and fajita salad. Both were amazing!
I finally got a chance to enjoy a meal and a drink here last weekend. I had the shrimp Louie which was excellent and the staff was super friendly. We will definitely be going back!
Love the Grill! The best server is Maria!!! She's been there a long ng time, and is super-pro. Salads and specials are great. Beef is always perfect. The Seared Ahi Tuna was fantastic! If you want to spend less, get a couple of appetizers, a burger or pizza. But entrees never disappoint!
Great experience. All the items we ordered were fantastic. Great location with views. The taste is amazing. I would love to go back.
Give this 5 star because Service here is A+, everyone was really friendly and just very pleasant. Our waiter Mary was just amazing she made sure we were taking care of. The food was Delicious, I had an amzing Salmon and my husband ordered Tomahawk Steak it wasnt cooked to his liking but Mary and the chef took care of it and it made my husband really happy and myself aswell. We are definitely coming back here!
We love this place, always good food and service. I love the shrimp tacos! And the staff is awesome, they put up with my crazy guy.
Reservations recommended. Country club looks out on golf course. Indoor and outdoor seating options plus a bar. Food is excellent and service is professional and friendly. Not a great place for young kids.
We did not get to go inside because of COVID but we did take out. Menu was typical American food and I was thoroughly surprised about how fantastic the food was. I ordered the turkey melt and it was like the best grilled cheese with turkey and bacon I've ever had. My husband got the shrimp tacos and was very happy as well. Friendly staff. Thank you!
Great food, we sat outside with a very nice view, their Shrimp Tacos are the best good atmosphere, we always wanted to try their pizza but you can pizza anywhere, but it was really good. Very nice servers.
We ate outside for lunch because the indoor dining is closed because of Covid. We got the burgers and fish and chips and they were great. The views from the outdoor patio of the golf course were beautiful. The staff was friendly and responsive. I can't wait to eat dinner inside and have a beer at the bar when indoor operations open.
Beautiful views and delicious food. If you're in the area I highly recommend stopping in and trying the garlic fries and steak sandwich.
The food is the best in Groveland, the prices are reasonable and the service is great. Full bar and free popcorn. Live music on the weekends and jukebox in the bar area. I suggest making reservations or site at the bar top. The general manager is very accommodating, I forgot his name but he's short and Italian:)
Five stars for their New Year’s Eve dinner & service!! Guests arrived at different times to have dinner & the wait staff, hostess & bar service accommodated everyone with 100% attentiveness & smiles! This was my first New Year’s Eve dinner event & I was very impressed with the service.
Ordered the grilled ahi. So good and so much food. Great cocktail & killer dessert.
We stopped by for lunch and had a great experience. Food was served hot and service was great. They had vegan options and a kids menu to choose from. It was about 10 mins from the Tesla supercharger at Groveland. The view from the balcony was beautiful and we could spot deer and some wild geese. I would highly recommend visiting this place.
Been going here for 20 years. Food is good in the service is excellent. Always a fun place to visit. Highly recommended.
I got the French dip with fries and it was absolutely delicious. I recommend the French dip at this restaurant it is the best! It is only served for lunch they only serve lunch during certain hours.
We were driving from Yosemite National Park and decided to stop here just before closing. What a fantastic decision! Even though we arrived late, the staff was absolutely wonderful—incredibly welcoming, attentive, and kind. They made us feel right at home. I ordered the steak, and it was absolutely delicious! Perfectly cooked and full of flavor. My wife loved her meal as well. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting—the perfect way to end a day of exploring. Thank you for such a warm welcome and an unforgettable dining experience. Highly recommended to everyone traveling through the area!
The Grill exceeded our expectations! High quality food at a reasonable price, especially considering the location! The portion sizes are pretty large too. The restaurant itself is very beautiful, it's a nice place to sit and enjoy your meal. We're planning to go back for dinner and enjoy the outside seating:) They have different menus throughout the day, we went during their lunch menu and enjoyed the orange chicken, fried ravioli, kobe burger and sweet potatoe fries, everything was a hit! Our server, Ashley, was wonderful!! She answered all of our questions and felt like our fairy godmother for the day 😂 super knowledgeable about the area and super kind, thank you so much Ashley for fantastic service!!!
The food was delicious and we had some of the best service I’ve ever had. Our waitress (I think her name was Katie) was amazing. She was really busy and she was speed walking every time I saw her. Despite that, and the fact that it was close to closing time, she was so friendly and never made us feel rushed. The food was also really good. I got the pork chop and we had the chocolate cake for dessert. I’d definitely go back!
Lovely time spent with family! Highly recommend this place! The food was great! We ordered the tomahawk steak & half pound grilled angus chuck. Service was excellent! Definitely coming back again.
Good food with beautiful views and great service
Had lunch and drinks on the deck overlooking the golf course. Ate the fish tacos which were yummy. Highly recommend.
We chose to sit outside and we loved having the golf view. Yummy food! Battered fries were a hit!

We visited this restaurant after spending the day exploring Yosemite National Park to celebrate my birthday, and it was the perfect choice. The location is beautiful, set above the golf course with lovely views of the surrounding forest. The food was excellent. We had the pistachio crusted salmon and the trio of mini burgers, both full of flavor and perfectly cooked. But the real highlight of the evening was the service. The staff surprised me with a birthday song, and soon the entire restaurant joined in. It was such a warm and memorable moment. They even treated us to a complimentary dessert. A wonderful experience all around and highly recommended.
Always a nice experience. Could be viewed as a little pricey, but it’s a restaurant on a world- class golf course, so prices seem expected to me. Food and service are pretty consistent, and good quality.
We were so glad we found that place! We sat outside and had a wonderful view. The steak was huge! The vegetarian flatbread was delicious. Prices were totally fine. Service was fantastic.

Good food over looking a nice golf course. Moderately elegant. A nice place to take mom.
Nice lunch. Very empty. Had the place to ourselves. Odd. Food was good. View was lovely.
I was actually quite impressed with the food here! great quality and nice hilltop view of the forest and mountains. the only downside, or upside depending on your view is the size of the menu. but everything on that menu is great!
Beautiful views of the distant mountains and overlooks the golf course. Service is very personable. Food is very good and they accommodate variation requests. Vegetarian options a well.
nicely renovated restaurant associated with the golf course. food is not bad — we got a few pizzas to share. a comfortable dining experience.
Beautiful place. Some details in the meal were lacking; for example, mushrooms were missing from a burger plate, burgers were over cooked, drink was served in a broken glass.
Great place to take the kids. We arrived as guests 30 minutes too early (during resident only time) and they still let us in. Nice staff and clean restrooms.
Good for burgers, salads, and sandwiches. They had a kids menu as well.
Service was done enthusiastically with pleasant smiles. Food is tasty and plentiful. Prices reasonable. Try it you might like it...
Very good food but service was slow. We did not have our drink order taken until we had been there at least 20 minutes. Appetizer was served at the same time as our salads which were ordered at separate times.
Always has been good. The last time we visited they overcooked my tomahawk steak which is unusual. Everything else was up to par.
Came here after a long day of hiking. I had the Kobe burger. It was think and juicy on a soft and tasty bun. I had the garlic fries they were the best out of the sweet potatoe, regular, and onion rings. The only way the burger would've been better is a bit more sauce and maybe some onion straws. Service was good, but our food came out at different times. One of our party, ordered the vegetarian patty on her burger and it was very thin and came out way after everyone else's. I would def go back.
Food was good, service was slow. Outdoor seating was nice with a view.
I had a good experience going here with family. Sadly they were only serving the lunch menu because they are so short staffed, however our food was still delicious and the staff was very friendly and great to talk to. I will definitely becoming back here. Their salads are super fresh and amazing and the French dip was great too, add grilled onions if you get it!
I've lived in PML for a while and had never been to the Grill. When my parents visited we gave it a try and we will definitely be back. Nice atmosphere, incredibly friendly and accommodating servers and cooks. The dinner food and cocktails were good, though the deserts we tried were just a tad dissapointing. Overall a great experience and asset to Groveland.
It just reopened yesterday. The people are very friendly, the restaurant facilities have all been redone. Beautiful. The food was uneven. Bad lettuce wraps.. Wrong kind of lettuce, dried piece of pork inside. Delicious clams but I was suspiciously sick later. Good steak salad.
My family was visiting from out of town, and we were looking for a decent place to eat dinner. We went to the restaurant and were seated at the a table on the bar side, as there was a musical event in the dining room. The food was good, nothing spectacular, but the price and service were good. My wife and I both ordered the chicken guacamole sandwich, and the chicken was dry on both. It's hard to not dry out chicken breast though. As a consolation the fries were good. The views off the back patio/deck area were wonderful, but they were partially muted by the very vulgar men having a smoke and a few drinks after a round of golf.
We made reservations for the first reopening dinner. The entire place was redesigned and menu changed. Staff and manager was friendly and professional. Food was great.
Great food and kind service. Serving is a bit slow though. We have to wait more than 40min for dinner.

This place sits on a golf course but its by far the best place to go in the community. For a single guy like myself I enjoyed the ratio of woman over men. The steak was outstanding but the service lacked. Waters weren't refilled and drink orders weren't taken. They honestly could have sold an extra $100 in drinks had they been on their game. Table of 7.
Had dinner twice here, pretty good food, we liked the burgers and their specials. Service was a bit mixed with some food mix ups, and one of the servers dropped our sunglasses of the table and then said "well they're not real anyway", odd response, she could've just said "I'm so sorry". That same server also complained about other "out of town" customers to us when she took our order, as we were also from out of town this was awkward.
We were staying down the street and went here for lunch. It is a small town golf course grille that reminded me of En-Joie golf or Heritage golf club from my youth in Upstate NY. The food was mostly fried tavern type food, and it was a relaxed atmosphere that was good for families. Good casual lunch spot close to Yosemite.

This time the service was pretty good. The food was okay and does not impress.
This nostalgic, dingy, dim-lit old Lodge ran by the fun police of PML is definitely a destination for when I visit my parents. Apparently the association absconded with a bunch of HOA money to do some upgrades here, but it looks dirty as any other old bowling alley. The food here is alright, but the atmosphere is definitely lacking. For such a beautiful place, one would expect that the inside would match the outside. This is not the case, as it smells like an old bowling alley, and years of cigarette smoke penetrating the bones of the structure. The golf course is a redeeming Factor for this place, but the PML board consists of a bunch of old, out of touch geezers, making this place perfect for a bunch of old, out of touch geezers. If you are young, avoid this place at all costs--go hang out at the Groveland Hotel or skip right to Yosemite.
Food was ok. I was expecting better since they remodeled. Burger was dry. Pretty good service far as checking on us & bringing what we needed.
Just your average meat and potatoes place at reasonable prices. Nice prime rib. Good service. It is the only decent restaurant in town.
A recommendation from the owner of the B&B we were staying at and on first entry looked like a really great bar and restaurant. Once seated though, we were let down - after being offered the obligatory water we were not engaged again for 35 minutes - despite our attempts to attract a waiters attention. We were finally asked by the manager whether we were being attended to and, to her credit she apologised and took our drinks order and entree. Unfortunately our drinks did not arrive! When they did arrive they were complimentary because of the wait. Food wise- no complaints. Pizza was large and delicious as were the mains of ahi tuna and Tuscan chicken were equally enjoyable. Despite the initial issues, we had a good meal and the manager saved the day by waiting tables in the absence of unwell staff. Would I go again? If in the Yosemite area, I would.
Great view, mediocre service (they were short staffed but still), food was so-so. Had the fish and chips, the fish portion was small but the chips were excellent.
Very nice food but the service was super slow. We nearly had to go and move our car, since we were only allowed to park for two hours. It took the waitress 15 minutes to bring the check, and there were only a couple of other families in the restaurant. I have to say there was a big event earlier that day, but by the time we arrived, it was over. On the other hand, the place had good views and very nice food.
Solid 3.5. Ok dinner. Pork tenderloin was good. Salads tasted like they could be from any random restaurant. Nothing special, but totally acceptable. Portions are on the small side, but not reflected in the price. Limited beer selection. The pizzas looked really good, but we didn't try them.
There’s balcony seating where the air is fresh, beautiful scenery (it’s a golf course) deers roaming freely. Expect $$-$$$ menu though not too many choices though, soon menu items we found here in google were not available during our visit. We waited for over 5 minutes before being seen by the hostess even though there’s nobody else waiting. Don’t get a burger here, get that somewhere else. You must spend over $29 menu to maybe appreciate the food here.
Sit outside cause the gorgeous views make up for the mediocre food. Think country club where the food is decent but not anything spectacular. Also saw a fox and herds of deer pass by on the golf course.

The food and atmosphere are great, but the service was pretty poor. We were not given eating utensils or napkins. When asked for eating utensils only those who asked got them. There was not a friendly greeting. When the waitress was asked a question she did not know, she shouted across the restaurant to another worker on her lunch break for an answer. These are all qualities of a service which is lacking, which was a suprise for me and my guests when it's such a noce restaurant. We do plan to come back because we do like the atmosphere and food. I don't typically provide so much feedback, but it's feedback which i believe will elevate this restaurant. I hope to visit the area many times in the coming years and I know it's a good place overall.
Italian salad was delicious. My server, Maria, was disappointing. She seemed determined to ignore me after I wasn't ready to order a drink when she was ready. I was with a large party and she clearly needed assistance. Most of her pettiness can be overlooked, yet as I was just now watching the video I was recording of the groom toasting his bride, and heard her voice over the groom in the video asking if she could take my drink that clearly wasn't empty- I decided to mention it here. Hope she works on her customer service skills someday soon. Our table busser was personable, accommodating and really took the edge off of dealing with Maria.

Too Hoity toity, with a small menu that doesn't really offer appetizing options. And they're just as likely to ignore you as serve you.
I would like to first point out that the mess Hall is very beautiful and the pool is good to the standards that one might expect; therefore I must give this are a two star. But when it comes to eating after a long hard days of Hiking or what ever people do, the food, serving sizes, quality, and the waiters are lacking in every way that they should in a place as great as Yosemite and was very dissatisfied when I got stale potatoes and frozen reheated cod for the grand price of 15 dollars. And with the food waiters laughing at customers in front of us and not treating us in a way that showed and care or respect I will give this place two stars and hope that these hope issues are fixed
This place is always a disappointment. But if you like an old person menu, no reservations even when it's empty, and a ton of staff milling about with no direction this place is for you. Main benefit is HOA subsidizes the food, so you can get a steak below cost if you make a reservation months ahead of time.
Unfriendly and coldhearted employees! We (3 travelers) wanted to have a luxury dinner in a high end restaurant. Us being Golfers thaught this would be the right place to go. Reality was that we got ignored by the first woman at the desk and after waiting for 10 mins, the second woman (maybe the manager??) Treated us in a rather ride way. Not what we expected from a luxury dinner, so we left to go elsewhere... Looked like a dignified place though.
Had friends up for weekend two Saturdays ago and they treated us to a dinner. Service was great (which is why 2 stars). My shrimp/risotto dish was good. That was it. Pizza was burned, wife’s chicken was dry, rubber like, and bland, and finally the pork chop dish came out looking great but once cut open appeared to be rare. Not sure I’ll risk it again and simply head into town for dinner out.
This authority does what it has to, but usually at the cost of convenience to residents. The community is largely managed through Facebook from what I can tell. I’m happy to have moved.
I was not happy with the quality of the food, or the service at the Grill today.
The Grill was recommended to us by the company we were renting from while on vacation for a week in Yosemite. Unfortunately the Hostess was extremely rude and turned us away after rolling her eyes at our audacious ask as to whether they could seat us. Would not recommend the place. Stick to better offerings in town or better yet, establishments in San Francisco or Washington DC where they at least know how to graciously turn people away, if they must.
Both me and my mom got food poisoning from the porkchop and pork mac and cheese. I don't know if the pork was expired, or if it just wasn't cooked properly but either way it was very bad
We stopped in for lunch over the summer. I ordered a salad which cost about $20, a bit pricy for some vegetables. However, after eating about ⅓ of my salad I found a 2 in. long coarse black hair in my food. When I called the waiter over, he acknowledged that it didn't belong to anyone in my party as I have very long brown hair and my dining partner has white hair. He seemed flustered and took the plate back to the kitchen. The chef offered to replace the food or remove the charge. As I had now lost my appetite, I opted for the credit. When the bill arrived, I saw that there was a $5 credit on my bill. I was still required to pay $15 of a meal that was tainted with a hair that appeared to come from someone I could see working in the kitchen. As if to add insult to injury, the "manager" sauntered by our table and asked how everything was. I told her that other than finding an employee's hair in my food I guess it was good. She said "sorry" and hurried away. My dining partner left the table and spoke to the "manager" but she refused to give any other remedy. She made some excuse about only being employed for 2 days and having called someone about what to do. I know I will never return to this establishment and I recommend that others check their overpriced food for unwanted ingredients.
