Been going there for years. Great food. Highly recommended. For a Mexican restaurant they have excellent hamburgers too . Very reasonable prices , their burritos are large enough to fill you up. Got to try them sometime .
Hidden jem. The food is always excellent. The staff is always polite and pleasant. Clean. There's time when I crave and have to have their fish and chips. The tartar sauce is amazing. The chilly reno is on point. Always fresh and made to order. A must try Mexican sea food Restaurant.
This is my favorite Mexican Food Restaurant in Grover Beach. I often meet my husband here for lunch, or arrange my day so trips to the hardware store occur right at lunchtime since it is right across the street. It is a family owned business with authentic food. Jerry, the owner and waiter, handles my husband’s need for high calorie food and my requests for switch it out for veggies just fine. They will greet you by name if you introduce yourself. They speak Spanish and English fluently. The location was a dive bar when I was a kid. The kind that didn’t own a blender or turn on the lights. I think it was called the Blinking Owl. The walls have some cool old photos on them. He kept a bar you can sit at alone, but replaced the little wooden chairs and tables by the windows with comfy booths!
Finally found a San Diego style Mexican place. The beans are the BEST I’ve had in YEARS!
We were there for breakfast! Had the best menudo ever ! Outstanding service, with a great coffee ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ without a doubt 5 stars, definitely a place to go back 🤩
Love this place! Their chilaquiles are the best around! I'm vegetarian and my husband is not and we both love the food. Their burritos are delicious, their beans and rice are both vegetarian but delicious for all. The one down side is the wait time, they make it all fresh so it takes longer. If you're a meat eater, get the carne asada, my husband loves it.
Amazing Shrimp Cocktail ! Large and very good. Also a fantastic chili realleno burrito (wet) best lve ever had ! Go check it out ! You won't be disappointed!
My Fiancee introduced me to their wet burrito and it's been the only burrito I crave regularly for years now. They are quick to get your food made and very friendly. Haven't eaten inside but I have ran in to pick up and it looks clean. Definitely recommend giving these guys a shot.
Some of the best mexican food in town! Owner was so nice, he took our order, made the food, and served us all with a smile on his face. Definitely stopping by again when we make our way back to Pismo. ☺️
Excellent Taco's. 10 for $20 on Tuesdays. Surprisingly never busy.

Went there for the first time today. Walked in, ordered. I ordered the veggie tostada, hubby ordered asada fries. The gentleman working brought us our drink, silverware, napkins, chips & salsa. Salsa had a little bite to it, but it was delicious. Hubby liked the fact that the asada fries had real cheese and not nacho cheese. My tostada was very good as well. Would definitely eat here again if I’m passing through Grover.
The owner served us. I had the special of the day: 2 fish tacos, rice, and beans. $11.99. It was delicious, made with bass fish. What I didn't like was that he charged us $2.99 for salsa and chips. In all my years of eating Mexican food in the state of California, I have never paid for these items. Usually, a small tortilla is given to enjoy the rice and beans.

The only thing i didn't like was that they rushed me to order as soon as i walked in the door and when i asked for a receipt the guy printed it and said"here, take it". Excuse me? They have nothing out for you to get yourself (napkins, salsa, etc) and when i asked it seemed like an issue. I may just get my food to go next time. Not friendly at all.

I ate here last Sunday January 14th 2018. Approximately 30 minutes after eating two steak tacos they came back up. The guy who helped me at the drive up window was very rude. Should have been my first tip off. Beware your stomach will be cramping 20 minutes after you eat here.

Asked to make sure no meat in our order , he put meat in it , on asking the cashier he said what are we going to do with your burger , was very rude and impolite. Would not recommend this . The rest of the food itself was bland.
Drive thru with no speaker. Gal at window barely opened window like I was going to rob her...its noon. Then man comes to window, maybe owner, and charges me 25$ for 2 chile verde burritos. They were so......spicy we couldnt eat but a little. Mostly rice, hardly no meat. Very disappointed. We only stopped there when Juanita's was opening too late for us..big mistake. A waste of 25$ never again
I ordered a chili Colorado plate for breakfast. The cook took a 6 ounce portion of baked beef, choped it up into small pieces, fried it on the grill until it was very crispy, then put it on a plate, covered it with some watery red sauce put some boiled beans on the plate, I had to ask for some onions, and cheese to give the beans some flavor. The meat was very bland and the beans the same!! For this breakfast I was charged $17.49!! At old Juan's cantina they cook 1 inch chunks of beef in the sauce, and for a whole dinner it is only $15.00. I will never go back again. While using the restroom I noticed how dirty the door and floor was, I should have taken pictures to post with this review. I felt like I was in Tijuana not Grover Beach, oh wait I forgot, Grover Beach is Tijuana!!
0 I had the shrimp and chips my wife had the fish and chips I guess you shouldn't have that when you go to a Mexican restaurant the fish was terrible my wife could not eat it 55.00 down the drain the carne asada Taco was very good though the man and lady seemed like they were upset with each other we are the only two people in the restaurant that should have been a sign that we should have walked right out
Ordered 2 taco plates and a taquito plate for myself and two teenagers. Got charged. Then got told I only paid for 2 tacos and a taquito plate and was told prices on the menu are incorrect. Won't be back.
Worst experience ever. I Tried to eat there a few weeks ago amd waited at the counter for 20 minutes and no one ever came to help me, so I went elsewhere…I went In Today with my service dog and was told no dogs allowed, explained he was a service dog and the guy said no dogs….I will never again attempt this lack of service restaurant, fortunately for me there is a great place e right across the street!
