We attended for dinner tonight and were served by Andrew and Elise who were amazing- very attentive, kind and considerate! Thank you for a lovely night

Come here for fast, affordable, healthy option meals. I massively underestimated Bills, considering it just another chain restaurant, but in reality serves a range of great, well balanced, well portioned, reasonably priced tasty meals. I came here for brunch and was not disappointed. The vegan selection is varied enough to cater for most.

Me and my Uncle we have been Welcomed by Peter and offered table in the crypt downstairs. Such an amazing atmosphere down there. Order has been taken very quickly and waitress had a big knowledge about the food. Our drinks shows up very quick (Coffee Hot and tasty) same as food (Brunch plate- I have missed good Bills breakfast and this one was even better than I remembered). In general I do totally recommend! For me best breakfast ever! Thanks Bill’s Guildford

My friends and I went here last weekend for brunch, and the experience was fantastic! It was super busy (as expected on a Saturday), and since we didn’t have a reservation, we had to wait an hour. However, despite the crowd, the service was excellent. A special shoutout to our lovely hostess, Hannah, who made us feel so welcome. The food was amazing—great taste, generous portions, and definitely worth the price. We tried the English breakfast and the burger, both of which were delicious! Plus, they serve brunch until 5 PM, which is perfect for late risers like me. The freshly squeezed orange juice was a refreshing bonus. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I’ll definitely be coming back!

Excellent service, was busy, but accommodated us quickly and in a professional manner. Ordering was quick and our drinks came quickly. Food also arrived quickly and was very good, eggs also cooked well. Reasonably priced for Guildford also.

I’d booked a table of 25 for a surprise birthday dinner, it couldn’t have gone better. I rang with questions after booking and spoke to Harry who was helpful and calmed any anxiety I had over organising such a big group. And then when we arrived, I met our waiter Corey? (Photo attached of name) who was super helpful, commanded the attention of the room when serving, was super confident and communicated so fantastically throughout the three courses. He was so delightful and kind and everyone told me how great he was. Everyone loved their food but Bills is always great, but it was the service that really made it an exceptional evening.

Visited Bills in Guildford Sunday 19th October, Greeted by Andrew and served by Millie. They were both welcoming, friendly and attentive. Food came out fast and was cooked perfectly. My partner had a the brunch burger and thought it was tasty and filling, I had the chicken Shawarma which was equally, tasty and filling. Sometimes I don’t think restaurants in bigger chains get enough thanks and appraisal for delivery such a perfect visit, so thank you all. Chefs, bar staff & front of house team, was a great lunch out.

I visited Bill’s last week in Guildford, and I had the most amazing chicken! Absolutely delicious! The staff were incredibly kind, friendly, and polite, which made the whole experience even better. The vibes of the place are fantastic, warm, and welcoming! OUTSTANDING! 5 stars!

Been to a few Bills restaurants and this one was a very good experience. Very friendly staff and quick service despite the restaurant being super busy. Really convenient location right in the town centre and close to the local theatre for a pre show meal. Food was great quality, had chicken wings and duck fries which were really tasty and the brunch burger was huge and delicious. Juices are fresh and well made. Can pay your bill online after using qr code on the table so no waiting around when you finish.

We were lucky to bump into bill’s right when they were having their bottomless pancake week and we had a wonderful experience! The pancakes were phenomenal. Taste, texture, and temperature were perfect and the toppings were generous and delicious especially the he whipped cream that comes with all flavors. But what stole the show for us was the hospitality we received from Abden our kind and welcoming host! They have their bottomless pancake offer running until the 3rd of October so definitely give this place a visit if you can! The offer aside, everything about this place makes us want to visit again.

Everything was very delicious and well-prepared. The service was great and staff are super friendly. The desserts were to day for! We got the pecan pie and salted caramel sundae! We're definitely going back!

Absolutely delicious! Couldn’t fault anything , great service and smiles as soon as I walked through the door. Then to be served promptly with such tasty food I would definitely recommend! Drinks were amazing too ! I would suggest the burgers for sure

We had the stack of pancakes 🥞 lotus biscoff with maple syrup along with a pot of tea and a cappuccino. It was absolutely divine I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a slice of happiness my partner was literally dancing in her seat eating this so it’s a must try if your ever visiting Guildford.

Very good food, friendly staff and cozy atmosphere. Having breakfast here is a must, they also have good brunch. Eggs royal is good. They also have good sides to choose from. The fresh green juices they have are delicious to start the day. Don’t forget to ask one of the friendly staff to see the The oldest part of the Guildford based hotel is the stone vaulted undercroft that dates back to the 1300s and still has the remains of the original spiral staircase.

Fantastic place. I enjoyed a watermelon feta and mint salad and my partner had a bbq burger with pulled pork. Both meals were second to none. We took advantage of the BOGOF deal on mains, but would have happily paid full price because of the excellent quality

Great breakfast! Opens at 8AM which is 30 minutes before most places. Huge space but very cozy, built into the old Guildford buildings. The downstairs dining room has great features. Service is fast with a smile. Pricing is great! Highly recommended

Lovely! Great vibes and food. Elise was particularly wonderful. Very patient when we couldn’t decide on our drinks. Very knowledgeable in terms of the menu. Really made us feel comfortable and welcome!

Had a lovely lunch at Bills, Guildford. Great food, would recommend the chicken Shawarma. All the staff we encountered looked happy and were all super friendly, especially our waitress Elise who was also very helpful. Will definitely be back :-)

Great food, including gluten-free. Good gf menu. It was hard to find the way in: the sign is by a door that doesn't go into the restaurant, and there isn't a sign by the side door that works (the next door is more obvious but can't be used).

Hosted a mid-scale charity event, which required a lot of logistical planning. The staff were incredibly welcoming and worked very well with the complexity of the event. All the diners were very impressed with the food. We were place in a lovely spacious area, that worked well with our needs. Huge thank you to Owen, an administrator who helped organise the event.

Great location just off the High Street. Varied menu. Busy, which is always a good sign. Good food and excellent flat white.

Very popular spot! It’s always packed with people, but for good reason. The staff were friendly, and the food was delicious—the portions were generous, and the ingredients were very fresh. I loved that even though it’s a franchise, it has a charming local feel. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Food was very good, lovely fried calamari and pan-fried sea bass, and the burgers were divine! Cocktails could have been better. Overall would recommend.

Heaps better than expected. It’s been years since returning and sure service is a little slow but they’re busy and all super friendly. Food was huge and all pretty tasty, perfectly cooked (avo could be fresher) , nice decor and lots of veggie and vegan options ✨🙌

Pros The host/server at the entrance (a tall man with dark hair and a non-English accent) allowed me to amend my reservation for later. Whilst staying at The Angel Hotel, the WiFi wasn’t working at the time, so I couldn’t do it online. I was sat down quickly, checked on, given water to start, and given ample time to decide what to order. Communication was great as the server offered me a substitution for a type of whisky they didn’t have. The food had good flavor and the spiciness was actually spicy, contrary to other ‘spicy’ dishes I’ve had in Europe. Another server waited on me (average height blond woman with glasses and nicely manicured nails), who was lovely. When I finished my meal, she asked if I’d like another order or dessert which made me feel very welcome. Her energy was great. Cons The original server I met at the entrance wasn’t warm at first, (though he was cordial) and I almost didn’t dine here because of that. He did eventually warm up and could’ve just been having a day. I try to give others grace-within reason. I was sat right in front of a cart with glasses that clanked loudly when the servers would handle them. Upon entering, I requested a seat at one of the booths in the main area, yet the server (the man) stated that whole section was reserved. My only critique is to have large reservations in a separate area, or some sort of demarcation/sign for clarification. The food was a bit cool, though since it’s Lent season and I’m fasting from 0600-1800, I went ahead and ate it as was. Additionally about the food, the sauce (고추장 gochujang) for the sticky duck salad and Korean loaded fries had too much sugar. I recommend having all sauces on the side for the customer to decide how much they want on their meal. Ultimately, I would dine here again, though not as my first choice.

Bills are coeliac accredited, so always a good chain restaurant when looking for somewhere to eat with gluten free options. The gluten free menu is still quite big and the food is always good. Pretty decent size meals too.

A fairly nice place. Staff were very friendly and service was very quick. The place felt crowded and cramped, but not too noisy. The full English I had was not perfect, since it was missing bacon. The mushrooms were not amazing.

We were fortunate enough to be squeezed in without a reservation and were grateful. But the food took 40 mins to be served up and then we're told we had 10 mins to finish as the table was booked. Although we agreed to I've up the table it was probably assumed we would get some time to eat our breakfast rather than inhaling it. Not quite the most relaxing breakfast experience

I've been a Bill's customer for quite a long time - though a first-timer in this branch. Servers were very friendly (especially the blonde girl), but there's room for improvement when it comes to timings and managing expectations. The starters took a little longer than we would have expected, but they were so good we didn't mind waiting. We then, however, waited over 45' for our mains. After half an hour without news, we asked for an update, and were told that they'd check in the kitchen, and that they would give us an update, that the kitchen was running slow, but that it shouldn't take longer than 15'. Nobody came back to tell us anything, but luckily 20' later the food finally arrived. I understand that things can go wrong, but at least had we known that it was going to take that long, we would have probably ordered more drinks/not have waited anxiously. We would have appreciated some snacks to kill the time, some other form of compensation, or at least an apology. We didn't get any, nor anyone asked how our meal had been while we paid. To give you an idea, the time spent in the restaurant, from when we were sat till we left was 1h50, for two starters and two mains. As for the food, we loved the crab cakes and the chicken and sesame dumplings, they looked great and tasted even better. Less impressive were the mains, in particular the halloumi shawarma: the fried halloumi and bread were too oily, making it quite heavy to finish (and digest!). The meatballs were nicer, though nothing remarkable. The Bill's beer (lager) was instead very nice.

We went to Bills for a birthday breakfast, and it was nice and chill. The pancakes were just okay, though they looked amazing! They really should have been made fresh, which would have made them so much better. We each left a pancake, as they do make a hearty breakfast. We had a cafe latte and a turmeric latte. My partner said the coffee was more bitter than what she's used to. I enjoyed my turmeric latte; it was well-balanced.

Bill's is the sort of place that is chic and serves decent enough food. The dishes are not particularly unique but they are made to a reasonable standard. It's a place to hang out and meet friends. The decor is classic and quaint, and ambience is one of subdued buzz. Due to their children eat free offers, you do get a young family vibe. Overall, good but not great.

We went for lunch. The place was full. Had some burgers they were amazing. The service is not the best. The salad was without a sauce.

We were here last weekend a large group for a birthday lunch celebration. We sent 2 meals back as cold, chips were cold on other meals. One child’s meal came out late and one meal was messed up completely so another meal that was out late. We had to ask for the table to be cleared after eating and then the wait to order dessert was ages. Service and food not worth the price. Lots of nicer cheaper pubs to visit instead.

I’ve always loved Bills and never tried the Guildford one. Weekend mornings are always too busy. I booked for breakfast on a Saturday and the place just seemed poorly organised. Hosts/waiters/waitresses running around frantically because there’s not enough of them. People queue up at the door while tables are unserved for some time. I sat down for 45minutes and it was enough to want to leave, I didn’t even order a drink because it felt too stressful to have one. My biggest con would be that it’s not step free and you’ll have to hope there’s someone around to help you if you have a buggy/wheelchair - particularly if you’re alone. I went with my toddler and he even started getting restless constantly waiting. The tables are also so close and squashed together you have no privacy while eating a meal, especially if it’s busy. People were nice but I wouldn’t go back.

Arrived on a busy Saturday night, staff were able to find us a table. Ordered our food however after a lengthy wait and tables around us receiving their food when they arrived after us, we asked the waiter for an update on our order. Food eventually arrived but unfortunately they missed a meal. No checks from the waiter staff after food was served. I then went to the waiter to ask them to remove my meal from the order and not to bother due to my party having completed their meals. Lots of apologies from the management. When the bill arrived they had removed the meal but left an optional service charge on the receipt. I appreciate they are busy but it was extremely disappointing. I won’t be going back. Even after they ‘promised to try better’

Went in for lunch today. It’s was fairly busy but not full. Staff were polite but serving very fast. Ordered a full Bills breakfast and sourdough toast with poached eggs, avocado and hollandaise sauce with spinach. It only took a few minutes for the food to be served. The full English was ok but my husband only rated it 4/10, the Cumberland sausage was tasteless and the beans had the appearance of having been sat around for a long time (has a crust). The eggs and avocado meal was cold and disgusting 2/10. The restaurant was full of children and staff not very available so we didn’t want to make a fuss. We ate what we could but we won’t be returning. Such a shame.
