We came here for lunch with our three children, who can really be a handful. Sometimes. Our server was second to none. None. I wish I remembered his name so that I could give it, specifically. He made us comfortable and made us all feel very welcomed and was great with the kids. Service aside, we had some really wonderful food. The Reuben I had was delicious. The rye bread tasted very flavorful and fresh, and the corned beef they used I believe was sliced fresh from a brisket. Brisket. It had the right mix of sauerkraut and thousand Island without throwing off the flavors and balance. The kids had grilled cheese and buttered noodles and everybody left with a full belly and happy smiles. Oh, and me and my wife now have a new favorite kind of deviled egg! We got the deviled egg flight one of each, and that was a fun flavor adventure. We both highly recommend the bloody Mary deviled egg.
I had an absolutely fantastic experience at Timothy O'Toole's in Gurnee, Illinois! This Irish pub is a gem. We tried the shepherd's pie, fish and chips, deviled eggs, and Reuben egg rolls, and every single dish was outstanding. The shepherd's pie was hearty and flavorful, the fish and chips were perfectly crispy, the deviled eggs had a delightful twist, and the Reuben egg rolls were a creative, delicious surprise. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with true Irish pub charm. The service was top-notch, and the food came out hot and fresh. Highly recommend this spot for anyone craving amazing comfort food with an Irish flair. Five stars all the way!
At first I was worried about being kid friendly but this place was amazing! Food and service was great? My family are those cheese curds faster than anything! Must try their bread pudding!
Its criminal that this place has less than 4.7 stars in my honest opinion. Went in last night with my brother from out of state and he enjoyed himself. The beer cheese was his favorite part - you should really incorporate it into more things! Generous portions for what you pay, and service was amazing. Picture is the bacon grilled cheese smash burger. My only opinion is maybe add a sauce to the actual burger itself; or some good seasonings - otherwise great; could only take a few bites before full! Don't miss out on this place. Im not a huge beer drinker, but they apparently have 40 on the menu (again something my brother enjoyed lol).
Loved the baked goat cheese and the tiny tim smash burger. Amazing taste. Wide variety of foods, ate there 3 night in a row!
Makayla was amazing with such great recommendations! The grilled chicken teriyaki bowl was outstanding as was the all-American Smashburger! Food and service was on point!
Great pub food and lots of drink options. Great spot to catch a game and have a nice meal to go along. Classic pub style experience!
Great food flavor and service. We came for a business lunch and ordered the Spicy Blackened Chicken Melt and the Greektown Steak Salad Bowl (which I had). We got seated right away (no wait at all). I will return here for sure.
Came here by accident as we were looking for pizza. I'm so glad we walked in. My husband had the French dip with fries and I had the fish and chips. They were delicious and the fries are NOT an afterthought. We had a Bananas Foster Old Fashioned.... DELICIOUS! Update: Came here before our flight back home and won the Guinness challenge 🙌🏽
Curds were super fresh. Beef stew was excellent. Fish and chips great too. Tried the house blazer and it was pretty darn good. Honestly, it’s hard to find anything to complain about.
This hit the spot!! Was a bit pricey but the service was great and the food was better!! Great burgers and overall food selection, good variety they have salads and rice bowls, wraps. The appetizers looked good too! Great beer and drink variety too, some really tasty sounding drinks were available. The server was great and the food came out hot n quick. Loved the side selection too tater tots (yummy too), cole slaw was good, fries... Chips..... My wife wants to go back, and she's picky.
Absolutely LOVE coming here!! We have been coming here for years and the menu is always great and the staff are exceptional! Erin is fabulous, as are the rest of the staff, and it’s always fun and lively! Whether we come in for a quick bite as a family, a date night, game night, fight night…we always have a great time and leave happy!!! It’s totally the local “Cheers”! 💖
Always a great stop for a drink and a great Ruben. $1.50 for a side cup of mayonnaise is a little steep tho..
Best food and service EVER!!! We attended a wedding reception there. We had an amazing BIG soft pretzel and brussel spout flakes, they tasted like candy, yum. My husband had the BBQ ribs, BEST ribs and BBQ sauce EVER, I had the orange chicken again BEST orange chicken I've ever had. Our nephew had the Tim's challenge and he ate it all and got a cool tee shirt. Highly recommended. And did I mention the AWESOME customer service!!!
Wow an amazing place to visit and feel the positive amazing energy of Notre Dame Football
ERIN MY GIRL! She is amazing! She was attentive and we will be back again.
Had an early dinner with my wife. We enjoyed a couple of good beers and split a salad and smash burger. Food and beer were really good. The atmosphere was nice. Our server, I think her name was Katy, was great! She was patient while we tried beers, had the kitchen split the burger for us when she noted we were sharing the plates. I would totally go back.
My husband & I’s first time here and everything was so good! We just moved to the area & have been eyeing the menu for weeks and finally made it in. We both got sandwiches/wraps which the cooks were NOT stingy with at all! Food 10/10, our server Mila was so attentive and friendly i’d recommend asking for her if it’s your first time in because we had so many questions and not only did she give great recommendations but also gave us samples of everything she could give to allow us to make a decision. The manager on duty also stopped by our table to make sure everything was good! Overall a 10/10 experience and we will definitely be back to try more items on the menu & will be asking for Mila’s section.
Had to pivot here last minute after our original small Christmas party spot dropped the ball on our reservation—and honestly, great choice. Walked right in with no wait, service was solid, and the vibe was laid-back and welcoming. We didn’t eat this time, but everything coming out of the kitchen looked great. Already looking forward to coming back with my wife for a date night soon.
Ate outside. Enjoyed appetizers ( giant pretzel and loaded French fries!). Enjoyed dining Al fresco and had a drink while waiting for kids to be done at Great America very close by. Great service great food. Inside looked fun but wanted to enjoy the unseasonably warm weather.
I have been here a couple of times only for lunch when meeting a few friends that live in the area. We should try it out at night once to see how the bar is. We always sit in the restaurant area for lunch and the servers that we have are always nice and attentive. This time I got the Baja fish tacos that were very good. I like the layout of the bar the restaurant not so much but is what it is for lunch. I hope they're doing okay in terms of business because the last few times we were there for lunch it was not very busy, but I would figure they do much better at night anyways. We will be back since I believe it to be one of the best options in the area.
We had the large pretzel. It was great. We shared it with three people. The double smashburger was okay. It lacked flavor. It wasn't anything exciting or special. Boneless chicken bites were crunchy. We order them dry so we could have up to 4 sauces to dip them in. We really like the honey Sriracha and garlic Parmesan sauces. Teriyaki sauce was very traditional teriyaki sauce.
Really enjoyed the meals here, started with the Irish Nachos that were quite tasty then shared a Shrimp Tacos dinner(excellent)with family and had a salad along with that that was very delicious. Another family member had the Ruben sandwich which he said was great. The service was fantastic, the young lady who was the server kept our drinks full and pleased us with her wonderful attitude🤗
The service was good the food was greatand everything was extremely delightful. The price was a little high but with the quality of the food and service that was to be expected. Would definitely go back if I'm in the neighborhood and recommend it to anybody else that's looking for a quick delicious Burger.
Never had a bad experience. Good craft selection (wish there was more Hop Butchers!!) But overall, everyone is pleasant and food is hot! :) join the rewards program!
The waitress Hailey was wonderful. My son ordered a dish that he didn't care for and they made him something else. They did not charge us for the original order even though they could have. Food was great but service that kind is very much appreciated.
Great spot to grab a bite. Service is always excellent and the food is even better. I don't think there's a bad thing on the menu. Reasonable prices too. Would give 6 stars if I could.
Makayla is very attentive and a great bartender. She makes you want to come back, which we will. Also Kim was excellent in helping us figure out to do this review. You are lucky to have such great employees
Our server Korei was perfection. She had great suggestions, and was extremely patient. We asked to speak with her supervisor and Manager Kori was jus as great! She suggested the Holy Water drink and boy was a time had! Please recognize these 2 ladies, they deserve it.
Came in with some friends and ordered the mocktail called spiced cran pear mule. It was amazing. I also highly recommend the wings. We had buffalo and garlic parm. Our server Erin was very attentive & friendly. She had great recommendations!
Went here for my first time today for lunch and the new manager Kori is the best! Her knowledge on the items already is so impressive and her happy energy is so contagious. She recommended the Birria Grilled Cheese and I loved it. Will definitely recommend this place to Friends and family!
We really enjoyed ourselves, the food was amazing and the service was really great. Everyone was super friendly. We wanted a place where we could watch the bear's game and I'm so glad that we went here because it was awesome. We will definitely be back 😃
This is our "go to" place about once a week for casual upscale pub food. It is a local neighborhood restaurant and pub. Friendly, good food, lots of TV screens for watching sporting events. I recommend the Timmy Burger with tots (you get a free t-shirt if you can finish it all). There's a nice selection of tasty appetizers, burgers, bowls, and salads. A zillion different kinds of beer on tap and in bottles. On weekends, they have a huge bloody mary with enough food to make a meal or two. Festive atmosphere, especially on St. Patricks Day or whenever the Chicago Bears are playing.
I ordered the burger and chips for delivery tonight and it was the best burger I've had from there so far. The house chips are also amazing. I always get my food fast when I order. I called and told the manager that the food was great and he was very friendly and professional! I'll definitely order again and I definitely recommend it to other people🙂 Five stars!
This place was fantastic. Great food. Weather was perfect so they accommodated us for patio seating with my 1 year old son for his birthday dinner. Husband got the shepherds pie and I got the country fried chicken Mac and cheese to share with the kiddo. I expected to be forgotten as we were the only ones out on the patio but our server was great too.
Overall a pretty good experience both times I’ve been. The food was incredible both times, however, the service made us feel as though we were a burden each time. Probably wouldn’t drive out of my way to go again because of the service, but it was great food.
I enjoyed the food, the variety 🤤 of the menu, the price is above average but worth it. 😉 I got Birria grilled cheese 🤔 & Birria bowl, which we disliked the corn tortillas. We didn't need a reservation for a party of 8! 🤗
The waitress was really nice and inviting. The set up is pretty cool too. I understand why people come. Everyone. Kids too! Their Bento Box meal was very worth the price. Mimosa flight was good and reasonably priced. I didn't get the big Bloody Mary that they advertise but the little one very good. I got spicy and it was a good spice taste. Not over powering. We really enjoyed the wing basket (tater tots) and the Timothy OToole burger (fries). Oh. Had the Cheese Curds Appetizer-a little expensive but good. I'd get them again. Overall yummy! 😁
This is an amazing restaurant, especially for those who are looking for a meal after visiting Six Flags! Fantastic burgers, tacos, wings, and other items. It’s a really big restaurant that can accommodate a lot of people. Waiters and waitresses are really nice and spectacular. However, I would say that the volume of the restaurant is quite high, and you’d have to raise your voice or even yell to talk. Otherwise, this an amazing place to chow down!
I chose the Triple Dusty from More Brewing in Huntley, IL. It is very happily hoppy. I'd recommend if you like a kick with your hops. It is served in the proper glass. Beer drinkers understand this. Well, strong beer drinkers. It's a craft thing.... I had the Shepards Pie. When it's cold out in the Chicagoland area get some of this in your belly. The mashed potato cover to the soft, delicious carrots and peas in a hearty gravy. The toasted bread you can pull apart with the fork. Yum, yum. My wife had the wings, bone in. She thought the rub was a bit hot but they ARE wings. She mentioned how good the chicken was. Service was great. They were so busy we sat at the bar. Still a nice time. I wouldn't bring the kids here. It's more of a bar atmosphere.
Personally I loved everything about this place but my husband didn’t really enjoy his order thus the 4 stars. I got the ribs and he got the beef stew. The traditional Long Island was yummy. Great atmosphere and good service.
Went here to watch the bears game. Very nice and friendly place. Food was great. The atmosphere was amazing with the crowds. I would come back to watch a game.
on a cold and snowy day it was great to make it here.Cj was great! the chicago fire burgers were good and the baja fish tacos were extra good . the nachos did lack on the toppings. other than that it was a great experience
We ordered for a company lunch. 2 salads and one burger was $70. I felt that was pretty steep. Although one co worker had a decent amount of add ons (her $18 salads turned to $25). They also charged us $6 for 3 extra dressings. Was not given ANY utensils for a carry out order. Felt like service during pick up wasn’t great even with a $5 tip. Upside, my salad was delicious. Would we order again for lunch? No.
The waitress was great. The buffalo chicken spring rolls tasted great. However, my son didn't enjoy the orange chicken.
It's a half and half... Gastropub with a semi-fine dining experience. Has a modern look. Lots of wood grain and earth tones. It was not too busy during our visit. First - Service. I enjoyed the service here. Our server was very attentive, complimentary and made sure we had everything we needed during our dining experience. Kudos to her. Food came out quickly. Didn't wait long @ all. Restrooms were really clean. Glad that they upkeep those regularly. Some restaurants don't. Second - Quality, Quantity and Pricing. Food was reasonably priced. Portion sizes are nice. Plenty food. Quality is kinda meh. Third - Flavors. The food here is ok but it's lacking. Party of three... We order wing baskets. Wing baskets consist of chicken wings (8 pieces roughly) tots or fries and u can pay extra for another side. So my wife and I ordered wing baskets and the side salads for our extra sides. Tasted the tots first. Delicious. Fresh, crispy, fluffy on the inside. Can't beat a tot ever! Side salad was blah. The greens used (combination of arugula, romaine and other ingredients) was lacking. The caesar dressing just did nothing for the salad. Sad to say I've had better but it's the truth. The wings...🤦🏾♂️. For a place that has "world famous wings" or whatever they said advertised on the front of the establishment, those wings should have blown my socks off but not so much. No breading (of course, preference) but that doesn't change the fact that they were over cooked, lacked seasoning and the sauces or rubs (Garlic Parmesan) were lackluster. My wife had Garlic Parmesan. I had the honey sriracha. I was so so so disappointed. I'm expected sweet, spicy, satisfying. Instead I got semi sweet wings. No kick, no heat, flare, excitement... Nothing!! I ended up asking for a bottle of Tobasco sauce to spice it up. I know everybody's spice levels are different and they may have had ppl with lower lvls in mind when they created the sauce. But it's honey sriracha! SWEET HEAT! The mark definitely missed. Nachos were decent. Chicken was seasoned well. Only down side was the cheese is shredded. So as the heat decipates, the cheese hardens. Loses pull and everything clumps together. Then the addition of refried beans doesn't make it better. Just ok. Friend ordered the mango pineapple mule. Said it was delicious. Overall... I'd visit again. I just would have to try something else. Maybe a more complex entree.
I enjoy going here when I’m in Gurnee but the last two times were awkward and uncomfortable. Food is great, as well as the atmosphere but the service needs maybe retraining? Upon getting my bill, the waitress literally stood over my shoulder while I paid and further more told me what to fill out on the payment device and didn’t leave until I was done which felt like I was pressured to leave a good tip, which I would’ve done regardless but to literally stand over my shoulder, enough so that I can hear you breathing was ridiculous.
Ordered pickup for a garlic burger, pretzel bites, mac & chicken, and a bowl of French onion soup. What I actually got was…a thimble of soup. No exaggeration they handed me a dip sized cup that barely cleared 3 ounces. For $10. I’ve had cough syrup bottles with more volume. I called, thinking it had to be a mistake. The guy on the phone told me I must’ve received a “cup” instead of a bowl. Bro, if that’s a cup, then my shot glass is a mixing bowl. His followup? “Aww, do you want to come back?” Nah, I’ll save the gas money and just warn future victims here. Taste wise? Let’s just say if you’ve had a few beers, you might not notice how sad it is. But sober? You’ll realize you just paid fine dining prices for what amounts to a sample at Costco minus the flavor. Shame, really. I wanted dinner, not a snack.
$18 for one burger that came with like 10 tater tots. $14 for my burger that came with this sad tomato, and like 10 tater tots. What the actual heck are these prices??? We only ordered because we were assuming a PUB charging $20 with tax for a cheeseburger meal it came with at least a normal amount of a side.
I’ve been curious about this place for a while and finally decided to give it a try. I ordered takeout—a smash burger and truffle fries. I ate it right away while it was still fresh, but honestly, it was a huge disappointment. The burger bun was completely soaked in grease to the point that it was falling apart in my hands. It was so messy, and the texture was just off-putting. The grilled onions were stringy and unpleasant, getting stuck in my teeth with every bite. As for the truffle fries, they were extremely greasy and lacked any kind of dipping sauce or aioli to balance them out. It felt like they were just dunked in truffle oil with no real flavor beyond that overwhelming greasiness. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning. The whole experience was just not enjoyable and very overpriced for what I received.
