This is a no frills burrito/Mexican? Food place... And everything but the drinks and chips are too spicy for me, BUT I go with a friend every time he's in town because he CRAVES their burritos, and he's a very particular chef, so they must be great! There's a salsa bar to add your desired level/flavor of heat. And the staff are lovely, even though often very busy. If you go, please be sweet and bus your table, they make it easy.

Only my second time in California, but these burritos were some of the best that I've ever had. The shear volume of filling was absolutely mind-blowing and the ratios of meat to toppings was impeccable. I also love how the chips were freely available and I could have as many as I wanted and could mix sauces.

Delicious I had the burrito with chicken, it was enormous. Conveniently located too!

My fiance and I had a lovely experience. The food was authentic and some of the best Mexican food we've ever had. We were surprised by the affordable prices since the food was so good. Next time we're in town, we'll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend! You'll love it.

One of the best taco plates I've had. We stopped here on a drive between Monterey and San Fran searching for a quick, very late lunch. I will go out of my way to eat here again. Great salsa bar, chill atmosphere, and delicious food at a great value.

Excellent lunch, very reasonable, super friendly staff. We were driving through Half Moon Bay from San Francisco on the way to Santa Cruz and stopped for a quick meal. The taco plate and taco salad with chorizo were both delicious with authentic taste. Also great is the chips and salsa plus sauces that you can serve yourself. Highly recommended!

The BEST burrito I’ve ever had. Chicken with extra tomato, lettuce, cilantro and onion. They have a self serve sauce and chip bar. Only thing was, it was extremely busy on a weekend and getting out pickup order was confusing. But the burrito was 10/10.

The food was good - the portion sizes are quite good for the price and everything tasted great. Better yet, it was prepared and served quickly. I got the shrimp burrito and my mother asked for the same thing but without the beans, and the staff easily accommodated for it, swapping them for some extra rice. The salsa bar is nice, though if your spice tolerance is low some of the things there might be too spicy for you. Overall a nice place to stop for some food after walking along the beach.

Quite tasty. Stopped here on road trip down the coast from SF. Burrito (veggie) was enormous but it was so nice I finished it off. The little included salsa and chips bar (emphasis on salsa) went well with burrito. Daughter had a quesadilla that she liked. I accidentally left behind my backpack with some very important things. We discovered it was missing 1.5 hours away and drive back. They found it for us (via telephone) and saved it for us. Cannot express how relieved we were to recover it.

Went here after spending the evening at the Venice beach, based on the reviews. Loved it. The ambience, food and everything was great. Loved the shrimp, and fish tacos. There was a Salsa bar, and the chips were fresh and tasted really good. The prices are very reasonable. The food was so good, I would want visit again.

My dad used to bring me food from here when he worked in half moon bay in the 90s couldn't believe they were still open and serve the same great food 20years later. And still huge portions at great prices, amazing and fulfilling..

The food here is really good, it was $11.00 for a lunch plate of carne asada, rice bean and tortillas and a free nacho chip/salsa bar! You can go to Taco Bell and get completely factory made, heated in the store nachos. Or for few cents more get fresh guacamole and fresh pico de gallo, with 2-3 times more sour cream. And real cheese. So much toppings you can't even see the chips. It is a great snack, or a terrific starter.

I love when taquerias let you serve as much salsa as you want and not only little containers so thank you so much to the owner for this idea. We always visit this place while camping at Half Moon Bay. Love it! My husband ordered the Asada Super Burrito and said it was one of the best burritos he had ever had. The jalapeños are raw and not pickled. My chile relleno had seeds in it, which I do not prefer. The enchilada's and red sauce were vey good. We tried to call in an order on a Wednesday night and no one picked up. We drove down there and they were open. Just very, very busy.

Came up from socal to do some mountain biking in Pacifica. We were stopped at the light and saw the taco shop. We were like hey let’s try this spot. Prices were a little high but man the portions are worth it. The asada was really really tender, juicy, and very flavorful. The super taco was super bomb, even made a little plate of super nachos lol. Will come here every time I come up to mountain bike.

If you are looking for a delicious Mexican restaurant in Half Moon Bay, look no further! The food is authentic and very tasty! We ordered chorizo, asada, and carnitas tacos, a flauta plate and a super burrito a la Diablo with buche. Each item was sooooo good! The tacos were absolutely loaded with meat and the meat tasted fresh like it was just cooked! The flautas were super crispy and the chicken inside was juicy, not dry. The lettuce was crisp and fresh as well. The beans and rice were also good! The highlight was the burrito a la diabla because the sauce was very tasty. Not too spicy and had a whole lot of flavor!! The buche was very good!! Loved the food! Further, there is a chips and salsa bar that is unlimited. The chips are not the best but they definitely are good to snack on with some pico and salsa! You order at the register and then go find a seat and a server walks around calling out the number until they find you and bring your food to you. They have high chairs.

We stopped for lunch on our trip down PCH-1 and we were happy we did! My daughter ordered a quesadilla and said it was the best she ever had. I don't recall what I ordered, but it was excellent. We also had a side of chips and salsa. They had many kinds of salsa to choose from in their salsa bar. We ate outside in the covered patio and enjoyed the weather. I'm glad we found Taqueria Tres Amigos!

Good mexican food- the flavors were all in there, the fresh ingredients shined. We enjoyed the choriz enchiladas, shrimp tacos, and the pork tacquitos. The service is friendly and quick. We stopped here based on reviews and cause we were looking for some good food. Glad, we made the stop!

Was visiting from out of town and was glad to find this place to eat dinner on our first night in the area. Beware the serving sizes at dinner are very generous! I wasn't able to finish my dinner, but it certainly wasn't because it didn't taste good. It was very good! There was a good mix of people dining at the restaurant as well as people coming in for take-out orders. We were also glad to get a beer here as well, was a nice surprise. It was a little cold when we went, but they had a lot of outdoor/covered patio seating that would have been great on a day with nice weather! The parking lot can get busy. Another time we drove by around lunchtime and there were many cars not in spots just stopping to pick up food.

Went with friends and we all said each of our meals were delicious, and portions were huge. Vegetarian options available. Outside seating in case you bring your dog. Also they have beer for the warm afternoon. Gets busy at the lunch hour.

I've only had the burritos here but they are so large, it took three meals to complete eating. Service was fast and great and the chips and salsa bar was available and self-serve. If the chips didn't have that stale/thick vibe, it would be a five star salsa bar!

We stumbled on this place and it was a great find. Very busy with locals, we seemed to be the only out-of-towners. All of our food was delicious and fresh. Service was efficient and friendly. They had a nice range of tacos, burritos, nachos, and salads, including vegetarian options and the choice of several meats. Restroom was very clean. My only negative was that the floor throughout the restaurant was very slippery, which felt like a fall hazard.

It's a great place with nice food. It's not priced too highly, but on the higher end of mid-tier Mexican food. Food is good and the place is clean and the setup/look/vibe is among the better ones. There are a few minor flaws tho. The sauces are lacking, with some Tapatio around the tables but not at each one. The salsa bar has like two selections but neither is too fine and liquid like I like it (personally). Limes are nice, with good slice sizes. Water cups are not available without asking from the cashier, which isn't a big deal, but somewhat inconvenient nonetheless. So lots of upside and almost amazing, but not quite up there. Definitely would recommend tho.

!! VEGETARIAN BURRITO IS NOT VEGETARIAN !! This place is great and I’ve ordered the vegetarian burrito several times, but just found out that the rice is made with chicken broth, even in the vegetarian one (both vegetarian burrito and veggie wrap). So you’re safe to order with no rice. But pretty misleading and I’m definitely disappointed.

Food was good and the service was great. We rolled in 20 min to closing and so did quite a few other people and they were nice and didn't rush anyone which was nice. I had the chili relleno dinner and my guy has the barbacoa plate. The salas bar was fresh and delicious and the fresh churro was good.

The churros were amazing, the tacos were okay- the salsa that comes on them is really spicy and I typically enjoy a kick. The restroom was more than just a public restroom- I really felt like it was a public restroom if you know what I mean. Very gross unfortunately. The food wasn't too bad but I wouldn't necessarily recommend it.

I bought a couple of burritos, chicken quesadillas, and a couple of tacos. All my orders were watery and didn't feel like eating it. Their customer service was good, but their chefs didn't know what they were doing when making food. Chefs or cooks need more training on how to cook and prepare food. Just because of their cooks, I'll give 2/5 and customer services 4/5.

While prices and service are good, the actual food leaves a lot to be desired. I ordered a wet vegetarian burrito and was shoved by how bland the sauce is. The burrito seemed to be made of mainly lettuce and beans, which was a huge letdown after reading other reviews of the food here.

Restaurant was clean. The tacos are decent. The meat could improve in quality. What makes these tacos stand out is the salsa. The tacos gives a pretty good resemblance of authentic Mexican tacos.

The food itself had excellent flavor, and the churros are high recommended! We arrived around 430pm and the chips were stale, there were no fresh ones. Our table was sticky, and even after we had it wiped down residue kept peeling off. We ended up making a napkin table cloth. I'd still go back for those churros though, yum 😋

Decided to go here after reading the reviews. Not impressed. The chips and salsa were pretty good. I had an asada taco with rice and beans. Meat had zero flavor and was dry. My granddaughter had 2 bites of her nachos and was done. My grandson had only a few bites of his food too. But the corona was cold and service fast. I think there's a Burger King down the street.

The food here is pretty good but good luck calling an order in ahead of time. We called and called and called and no one ever picked up. The one time someone finally did pick up, they immediately hung up the phone. What the heck? Really a bummer about the crappy service. They must lose out on so much business by not answering/hanging up the phone for call in orders. Disappointed and hungry customers will be taking their money elsewhere.

Home made Salsa bar for chips... only two choices. Food is good. Portions are reasonable but less than other restaurants. Reasonable price. They also listen to your specific needs and can customize your order. They had loud noise of construction and hence the atmosphere was not good for enjoying the meal. They should be considerate of customers and schedule the construction 🚧 accordingly.

We stopped at 3 Amigos and ordered two dinners to go...one for me and one for my husband. We drove 20 minutes to our hotel and then sat down to eat. Only my meal was in the bag. Super disappointed.

They move at a snails pace. The food is average and expensive. The parking lot is always busy. The place is filthy inside. Maybe they're just understaffed. Recommend going somewhere else.

Ordered a shrimp burrito they brought me a steak one and I can’t eat steak for health reasons. Had to spit it out. AVOID at all costs dirty and their staff are clueless. They don’t label the burritos so you might bite into anything ?

Pass this roadside restaurant which has ample seating but the service was extremely slow even though we were the only ones on a weekday. The free nachos work good but the tacos were really bland and forgettable.

Unfortunately this was a disaster! Came out on vacation to try a different spot. The flautas were burnt and soggy. The tamale masa is mushy and flavorless. Enchilada with pork was ok. The chile relleno soggy and no flavor. For 30.00 the best part was chips and horchata!
