The place was Amazing. Got us in on Valentine's Day at on line reservation didn't happen. Can't go wrong with going there!!
I got salmon cake for appetizer. It was amazing to simply put. Salmon cake itself was very crispy outside and so salmony inside. It went so well with salad and goat cheese Seafood gratin was also amazing. Very creamy and all the seafood comes together with the sauce. Breadcrumbs on top adds crunch texture that seafood is missing. I will com back again for sure
In my opinion Jesse's Steakhouse is the best restaurant in the Upper Valley! Their steaks never disappoint; they are always cooked to perfection! Our server, Beth, is a true professional and makes sure that every customer is well taken care of and that every meal meets the customers' expectations! I very much like the open concept of the kitchen area where you can see the chefs preparing each plate and the cleanliness of that area! The owner, Patrick, is a super nice guy who is very hands on and very pleasant when interacting with customers! He is a true restauranteur and runs a great operation! Thank you to the entire Jesse's team for providing an exceptional dining experience in a casual, comfortable environment!!!
It was an amazing Valentine's Day lunch with our son Connor . Our waiter's name was Connor also, he was great! Our meals were incredible, my son and I both had the 12oz Prime Rib, loaded baked potato and asparagus, everything was delicious 😋 Dad had the fish and chips, he got a loaded baked potato instead of fries. He said it was some of the best haddock he's had. The calamari to start off the meal was so tender and full of such incredible flavor. We will definitely be back soon!
Beautiful hidden gem in New Hampshire. The building adds to the comfort while eating. With the service it seemed as if you are the owner of the space. When we went it was packed and the service was on top of everything. The waitress was full of smiles and on point. And the food. Perfection. The prices are about the same of Chillis and the food is better, so PLEASE, HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place over Chilli's. NEED to go again. Will go again.
Excellent food, service, and atmosphere. Only suggestion is to bring back either salad bar or Sunday brunch if not both. It would be busier if so. We must try and get back to pre Covid places but of course continue to be mindful at the same time.
I came in wih three other people and our server, Melanie, was very good communicating about the menu, keeping our table organized, and accomidating our needs. Truly remarkable hospitality because she made us feel like we belonged. The creme brulee was also so amazing I had to get a second one.
Service was pretty slow considering we went there when it was not busy during late lunch hours and we ordered a burger and a cheesesteak. I wouldn't recommend going to this when you're really hungry or really want to get in and out quickly but the food was fantastic. The cheesesteak is less a cheesesteak and more a prime rib pot roast on a really good roll. I don't think it had any sauce on it, which I really expect cheesesteak to have, but the meat was so good that it didn't really need a sauce. Roll was light and crisp. Mininal vegetables on it: mostly steak. If you like seeing your peppers, onions, or mushrooms, ask for extra - I wasn't even sure there were any on it. Delicious, regardless. It is expensive! $50 for lunch for 2, and no appetizers and only 1 drink (I drank water).
Liked the place, very courteous staff. Their complementary bread is probably the best bread I've had in a while. Hot and soft and straight outta the oven. Amazing ribs, can't complain. Totally worth the money. On a second visit, I took the salmon poke bowl, which was delicious too! PS: on a third visit, their Nantucket gratin was out of this world!! Juiciest lobsters and shrimps I've had!!! Special shout-out to Kenia for her amazingly warm service!
Steak Therapy After a Pizza Marathon After a full day of pizza school, I needed a break—Jesse’s Steakhouse was the perfect reset. From the moment I arrived, the intoxicating aroma of sizzling steak over an open flame had me hooked. The cozy, lodge-like ambiance set the stage for a top-notch meal. The warm, fresh-baked bread with honey-whipped butter was a great start, followed by a solid house salad. But the real star? A perfectly cooked prime rib—medium-rare, seasoned just right, and paired with creamy horseradish and rich au jus (bonus points for the finely chopped shallots). Great food, great vibes—exactly what I needed before diving back into the pizza grind.
The food was amazing. Service was prompt. Atmosphere and Decor was really great.. log interior, antiques everywhere. You can see the chef cooking the food... Salmon cakes were handmade. The veggies were fresh, steamed to order, and crisp. The steak was one of the best I've had, and the baked potatoe was perfectly crisp on the exterior and soft inside. I ordered a Moscow mule, and the drink was perfect. My wife ordered a hot tea, and they served it in a small kettle of boiling water... not microwaved. I really can't explain how nice this place was and how great the food was. You'll have to experience it for yourself... if you come across this review... go inside and get a seat, you won't be disappointed. We will definitely visit Jesse's whenever we are in the area, and we will always refer it to friends and family.
Perhaps weird to go to a steakhouse without ordering steak, but we had a great meal at Jesse's! The summer berry salad with chicken was fantastic, loaded with berries and a delicious homemade maple vinaigrette. The grilled chicken had a mild marinade and was juicy and perfectly grilled. The other dishes at the table were Bourbon Lime Salmon (excellent fish, perfectly cooked, sides were just okay) and the asparagus fries which were novel, crunchy and well cooked asparagus. Service was fast, attentive and friendly ~ we'll definitely be back.

I loved this place. The dining outside on a warm evening was romantic and comforting. \nOur food was delicious and service was out standing. I really want to go back.

Good food, fast service and awesome ambience. Sat at the bar area and had a teriyaki steak with a side of asparagus and steak fries. They also have $3 tap beers Mon - Friday before 6pm. Will visit …
Cool place. Great ski chalet type vibe. Shared the prime rib with my husband. It was great. Cooked well, baked potato and green beans, all tasty. margarita was delish.
The food was delicious. I ordered the Lobster Roll it was delicious. But really filling. The tater tots were delicious only dipped in ketchup.

We didn't have reservations. We were able to get a seat at the bar. One of the servers (dark haired you lady) was very nice and made sure we were taken care of, the other server (lighter hair) not so much . When we left the host actually thanked us for being willing to sit at the bar. I thought that was very nice.
Jesse's is an awesome, upscale steakhouse tavern. The food is delicious, here, and I'll get into that soon. Seating is everything when there is so much ambience in such a classic establishment, so here are your choices to request if all sections are open: 1.) the main tavern dining room, to the left of reception. This is the hearth, if you will, where families gather. Kids are seated in this section. 2.) The bar dining room. You're not really in the bar for much of the seating area but it is more festive and casual. In the bar area, you are seated in a true tavern with good cheer, with a fireplace and log cabin charm. 3.) The outdoor patio: this is weather dependent, of course. It's lush, green and filled with umbrellas and garden flowers. 4.) The grand club dining room, farthest to the left, which has sportsmen decor. 5.) The patio off to the left of the club dining room is a gorgeous balcony and awesome (when open). 6.) The downstairs dining room, full of booths and nostalgic splendor that I've rarely seen full and 7.) The L-shaped bar dining. Many folks dine at the bar, here. Get apps, soups, salads and steak: any steak. And the mashed sweet potatoes which are as fun as Thanksgiving ... and the house vegetable. You'll be smitten. Also, this is one of those rare steakhouses where you can still manage to enjoy a baked potato. So, if you are not into sweet potatoes, enjoy a loaded baked potato. The cocktails and draft pour choices are excellent, here. And ... so are the desserts. Service, on the whole, is generally above par here.
Been going to Jesse's occasionally for over 20 years and it isn't what it used to be, but still good. The atmosphere is the same as it has been, no upgrades, kinda dusty and musty. The service on this last visit was sub-par. Call me old fashioned but I think employees working in customer service should at least smile and use common courtesy and manners - that was how I was always trained. She was very short with us and quite rude. It wasn't busy when we were there. We got the feeling she was disappointed that we didn't upgrade our meals and order the most expensive items. We did order cocktails, and dessert to go! I was disappointed in my "sangria" which was basically a mixed drink with some fruit thrown in. My crab bisque wasn't impressive. I had a good wedge salad. My husband's black and blue steak was AMAZING! I'll be getting that next time! The blueberry cheesecake and creme brulee were delicious, though they got quite messed up in the to-go containers, it didn't matter to us!
Review of Jesse Steak House Jesse Steak House offers a charming and elegant atmosphere—warm lighting, tasteful decor, and a cozy ambiance that makes it a lovely place for a night out. The service was attentive and friendly, with staff going out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. While the setting and hospitality impressed, the food itself didn’t quite live up to the rest of the experience. It was decent, but nothing particularly memorable in terms of flavor or presentation. If you’re looking for a place with great vibes and solid service, Jesse’s delivers—but don’t go in expecting a standout meal.
Gorgeous steakhouse with a solid menu. Service was fantastic. Beautiful fireplace. The holiday sangria was very refreshing. Try the asparagus fries. Worth the upgrade as a side for the prime rib.

I've been to Jesse's about three times now, and it's been consistently great each visit. I always order the same thing: the French onion soup to start, ribs for dinner, and key lime pie for dessert…
For a steakhouse, I expect a place to be able to both butcher a steak correctly and cook it correctly. And certainly not argue with me when they screw either or both of those up.

Don’t be fooled by the name and appearance, their food is every bit as good as McDonalds. If you go before 6 PM, draft beer is $3. Perhaps pair this with an appetizer and then go home for a nice …
I expected to be blown away by the food based on some of the other reviews, but it was very underwhelming. The asparagus fries were good, as others mentioned. Presentation was very nice. The calamari was very greasy and the homemade bread was dry and relatively tasteless. The atmosphere was very warm and welcoming though.
I ordered the artichoke and spinach dip to go and apparently they don’t put it in a cup or bowl like every other place. So to my surprise it’s just sitting on cheap foil so you had to really scratch it off. When using cheap foil it’s easy to accidentally scrape pieces off into your own food. Trying to pull it out the foil was not an easy task as by the time I got it home it was really stuck. As much as they charge at this place why in the world would they not put this in a bowl or cup?! This is really unsafe and what’s worse I ordered pasta as well and it was on parchment paper which the artichoke dip definitely could have been on instead if they absolutely had no cups. It makes me wonder had I ordered the soup to go what in the world would they have put that in?! The food was good but risking eating foil wasn’t worth it.

For starters, the waitress was very friendly and helpful, the portahouse steak wasn't a portahouse, it was a T bone again. The manager said it's a smaller portahouse, definitely not and for $68 it's a ripoff. The T bone was cooked perfect, everything else was great. I definitely know cuts of beef, did meat cutting and competitions. Got no money off bill, false information on an expensive steak
Stay away or just skip dinner! I sent my steak back twice - by the time I got it my wife was finished with her meal. Fries came out cold or sat under the heat lamp forever. Extra charge for veggi…
I realized this is half my fault for ordering a “Poke Bowl” at a steakhouse, I guess. But also in my defense, why have it on the menu if you can’t make it right? My husband and I decided to treat ourselves by staying in a a rainy Saturday night and ordering takeout from someplace new… Cue Jesse’s. I was so excited to see a poke bowl offered on the menu! When I opened the container to my absolute shock and $29 lesser in my pocket there was about total 8 oz of food. Overcooked rice, 5 cubes of tuna and a few carrot & other veg shreds. Did i mention it was $29?! Disappointed to say the least. My husband got the ribs, said they were so over smothered in bbq sauce he couldn’t taste the rib meat itself. Fail. Do yourself a favor if you go and order anything but the Poke Bowl.
