On Saturday night, my family and I went out to dinner at this tavern. We sat outside at a table near the garden. We had such a great experience! Our server was so sweet and kind. The drinks were amazing and the food was incredible. We will definitely return! Highly recommend visiting this place.

This was one of our favorite spot to dine during a trip to Woodstock. A very cute and local feel to this place. Food and service get 5 stars. On the weekends, one must make a reservation. Also check on hours of going there as it varies by days.

My husband and I took our family for a lovely holiday dinner. The dining room upstairs was so pretty with tapered candles on each table. It is intimate and cozy and the staff were wonderful. We felt so welcomed it was like being invited to a close friends home for an indescribably delicious dinner that was made from scratch all that day from start to finish just for you. Everything from homemade baked popovers rolls and sweet bread to appetizers and main course were superb. The deserts were homemade right there every single one all just gorgeous and delicious. This, is what made our dinner so exceptional more so than anywhere else was the personal attention from everyone the dinner felt like it was made just for us. It was marvelous.

Amazing food (best fried chicken I've ever had) , great service. Super friendly staff. It was an open mic night, and we were treated to extremely cool live music - an awesome bonus! Highly recommended if you're in the area.

We stopped in from out of town and had a great time. The food was A++, far better than typcial pub fare. Home made breads, deserts, and great meals with many local ingredients. The outdoor dining was awesome, we had a table in their garden with a live band playing nearby. 10/10! the picture is of the "desert menu"

As a local, it was hard to believe this place could be so good since we had never heard about it and it is in the middle of nowhere! Went for a friend's birthday dinner and, wow, what a treat! It is in several small rooms of a very old house that used to be an inn. The eclectic atmosphere and historic ambiance made for a warm and homey vibe. You need to make reservations because seating and parking are limited. We sat at the bar, which seats 6, where Heidi took great care of us. What a sweetheart! The drinks were amazing, and the food was top-notch, local, fresh, everything made from scratch!! This means it takes a little longer to prepare, and it was pricey but well worth it for a special occasion. We will definitely be back! It is family-owned, and everyone, even the chef, interacted with the guests - you can feel the family ties here. These folks have a very special thing going on, and it is working, and apparently, has been for many years. It didn't appear that the building was wheelchair accessible and the bathrooms were up very narrow stairs on the 2nd and 3rd floors, so if you have mobility issues, this may not work for you.

Beautiful tavern with indoor dining room and outdoor dining, wonderful, fun & friendly staff, and the food is amazing! Menu changes and ingredients change for the dishes but fresh and creative and served hot. The stuffed mushrooms were perfect and burgers are one of the best we have had. So glad we went-loved the name!

Best meal we have had in a very long time! Food, drinks, ambiance, and staff (especially the bartender) were all amazing! Highly recommend the shrimp app and bourbon mule, as well as the chicken enchilada! Can't wait to go back 😊

What a lovely place! My partner and I liked it so much that we had to come back for a second night. Our favorites were: the fish and chips friand (asparagus and brie in puff pastry) the augustus cocktail the maple crème brûlée Highly recommend stopping here, trying the delicious food and getting to know the locals!

Wow, almost 200 yrs old and still thriving. Great service and food is as advertised. Had the Chicken Carlos and Fish and Chips, both were excellent. Tonight was an open mic for entertainment but we couldn't stay to enjoy. If in town, go, but go early. Gets busy fast.

not sure why anyone would give this place five stars. we wanted to love this charming destination but what's with the outdoor dining on crooked tables, uncomfortable seating & bug spray?(bad sign), the sub-par food? (we like the edible flowers however)...they should also supply earplugs for the not so great live music that is crazy loud and crazy not so good. should be background music not knock you over the head deafening schlock. we do love the al fresco bar area and the great servers but overall the place falls short......way, way short. not sure we would recommend or revisit.

Our waitress was lovely - The food was the most disappointing that we have had in a very long time. There were three of us and we each ordered different things and each of us was very disappointed . Years ago this was a fabulous restaurant. We would not go back again
