Ok, we don't have these where I'm from, but it appears to be a chain. However, the Gyudon beef with the rice is a great lil late night meal. I had a large meal with vegetables, and I will just say I ate it more than once, and I was only in LA a week 😂🤣

Excellent food, but took 15 min to complete the order, and waited another 10 min to get it. It used to order and serve fast.

You get what you expect here. Nothing out of the ordinary. If you aren't interested in the offerings, the shopping center this place is located in has a huge variety of other foods to consider. Drive through or sit down.

Not as good as the original beef bowls in Japan, but it's the only few places in the US where you can get close-to-authentic Japanese beef bowls. Their menu has also been changed and leans more to Asian-American cuisine than to solely Japanese cuisine.

Dining in is a must because the drive-thru is usually busy. Good place to eat in quietly.

I lived in Japan a few years ago. Has the classix gyudon taste. Udon noodles are stir fried, and some reason cut up. A bit firm and chewy, could be softer! Ordered teriyaki ribeye. BOMB. Chicken was juicy and soft. Quality of meat is decent. I’m glad . :) Gyoza meat filling is good. The wrapping was hard on the edges, could be changed in how it’s prepped and cooked. Brown rice is on lighter side, was yummy.

Only one cook, and only one cashier/counter/drive -thru person to handle and serve this popular busy fast-food restaurant. However, the food was cooked and served up well and the counter/cashier/drive-up window gal was super courteous and genuinely conscientious as well as apologetic, which she really didn't have to be, because it was so busy on a Friday night at 9:40pm! Great job by those 2 people, but it was clear that they needed at least one more employee to help out. 👍

I redeemed two coupons using two separate transactions. I figured we got $45-48 worth of food for less than $30. But, even without the coupon savings, it’s still pretty competitive value. We went big and got two combos and two large plates. I didn’t try and if the premium meats or fish as I was committed to use the coupons this time, ha ha, so we had the regular beef, teriyaki chicken, and fried chicken with the sweet and spicy sauce. Of course, they can’t compare with regular gourmet Japanese restaurants, but all three protein options are pretty reasonable for fast food standards. It’s going to take us a couple of days to finish the food but we decide we’d not mind getting it again in a couple of weeks. Tip: while I was there someone was trying to order the boba drink and it wasn’t available. Tip: have them scan your app code and you can still get points —- To be honest, last time I was at Beef Bowl (what they were known as a generation ago!) was probably 25 years ago, I was brought back this time since our friendly postman gave us about 10 sheets of their recent coupons (each with about 7 coupons on both sides!). The deals looked pretty good so I decided to give it a try. I had problems using the coupons by calling (no phone orders) and by app. I was pretty committed at that point and decided to drive over and do it the old fashion way. The parking was pretty full on a Saturday prime dinner time since there were several very popular restaurants in this mall. I ordered the large beef bowl. I was given thick pieces of beef instead of the normal thin slices of beef that I didn't care for.

Food service was very fast. Good tasting. Will come for more. The coupons are very good.

Not good. I usually.. no. always go to the one in Lawndale. Compared to that one. This place is not good! Sauce doesn't taste good, chicken tasted some what weird. Not enough veggies. Won't go back.

The drive-thru service was good, as the dining room was already closed when I arrived to walk-in originally. The food was good too. Ordered the large beef and chicken w veggie combo plate with rice. The setbacks were not enough veggies & neither meat was chopped or sliced enough to get a bite without strands of meat hanging or chunks of chicken dangling from the intended bite. With only a spork to eat with, no knife included with the meal, I had to drive home to dine without food falling on my clothes. Otherwise this was a restaurant worth returning to in the future.

Hard to rate, as some entrees prepared differently each time we decide to eat there. THE COOK & ORDER TAKER need to communicate better! Orders are not what you order -- check your orders befire keaving the drive-thru!!!

I always come to this Yoshinoya location and I've had great service however, last night it was very disappointed I ordered a combo with the habanero chicken and the chicken was so dry tasted like regular chicken. The egg rolls were so bland and awful. And the beef let's just say what beef..... it literally had few pieces but that was not the worse how can you mess up veggies??... sigh.

Menu board was down. So if you didn't know what you wanted, the cashier would have to read off a menu. Makes for a long line. The cashier responsible at the window was very courteous. I must applaud her for having a soothing voice.

Usually like Yoshinoyas, but today's order was disappointing. Bowls have gotten smaller & food quality not as good as it used to be. The Hawthorne/Redondo Beach Blvd. location has better food.

Disappointed. Got 2 combos this evening.... one was the premium steak and beef. The 2nd was beef and teriyaki chicken. Both are with the noodles and cole slaw. When we opened by boxes, we got the premium steak and teriyaki chicken.... the other had beef and teriyaki chicken. They messed up our order as the beef is both of our favorites. Next is the cole slaw smelled old, like it was pretty much rotten. The noddles were soggy and also tasted old. The premium steak also tasted old. The beef and teriyaki chicken were okay. Very disappointed as we haven't had Yoshinoya in a long time and wanted our regular beef combo with a new 2nd protein but that failed. Why the 2nd star? That was to the cashier who was very nice. She was funny too.

The rice was dry and hard. They were steamed wrong and, also left in the open air long time. The salmon was very dry, too. I guess they are not doing well.

The food was good although the service in Drive-thru was poor and disappointing. I suggest they work on their language of service and some hospitality would help. This location probably won't be my first choice when I crave Yoshinoya.

The Orange chicken was horrible it had more batter and less chicken. I will never try that again, so was the new BBQ beef the sauce was too tangy it tasted more like sweet and sour sauce. That's off my list too

The grilled fish filets are overly burnt. Other food ok. We are not happy. I want to ask for an exchange, but my friends said ok to eat. So I tried a little, found the dark brown fish taste awfully bitter because of the over burning. Managers, why not throw away the overly burnt fish away and re-cook for the customer? To give bad food to customers make you look pathetic, and us look sad. Only good service make you eligible to receive your salary here. we hope you can make your store improve to match the good name of this old restaurant. As you know, your store had already got many bad reviews, I thought you had learned something from it.

Not that this particular Yoshinoya is bad. It's that they all are not like they used to be. But, at this one. Their beef was very tough and lacked flavor, and the same with the chicken. I tried this location 2 times. So, I wouldn't go there again. Oh, and the rice was undercooked

I visited this place on 12/26/2020 around 7pm it was freking disgusting to start off the customer service here is bad. It seemed like they were upset because I was there to order food. The food was terrible never again will I return to this place. Employees here need some serious training here.

Horrible place for drive thru there wasn't even any cars of head us we literally took around 20 mins just waiting then when we asked what took so long lady was so rude and they still forgot to give us forks. By the way in the lobby there was 2 customers inside even they got their order first then us when we only asked for 2 plates.. Never coming back

The evening shift employees are very very rude...it takes almost forever to get my order plus they don't even say thank you or bye...and they look like they're not happy with their job...not coming back. Not to mention the cashier name "Anthony" will give you a dirty look when you ask for condiments...really need to improve their customer service.

Sadly, the gyu-don (beef rice bowl) is nothing like the Yoshinoya's of Japan. Far far different than what I was expecting. The original beef resembles the flavor of Yoshinoya's, but the toppings and presentation does not do this chain justice.

I ordered a barbecue beef bowl that came with rice filled to the top with a few pieces of vegetables and lots and lots of strings fatty meat. There was just a couple pieces of meat, the rest, all string fat meat. I’ll never go back to that joint. Let them rip off someone else.

Yoshino your needs to pick up on customer service. 5 employees, 3 are standing around waiting for the next order to come out the window being prepared by one person causing a situation where it takes 15 minutes to get your order. I had to walk out without my food and didn't care to get a refund because apparently Yoshinoya needs my money more than I do. This is the second store this is happened at. I have visited Yoshinoya since they first opened in the early 80s and they have just lost a loyal customer do to two stores.

I had teriyaki chicken shrimp, not so fried rice and vegetables. Chicken hard like jerky, shrimp mushie, vegetables gray and limp, rice crunchie with black pieces of shriveled up corn.Everything like it was sitting in warming bin unstirred for hour way over cooked, good price but never again this was my first visit to this restaurant.

They seem to burn the chicken often. They also dont listen to what you ask for. I ask for my order a certain way seem to never get it that way. I dont notice until I'm home and then it's not worth the trip all the way back . I don't think I will return since this is a continuous thing.

Very poor customer service by staff john wilson. He claimed to be the store manager but cannot assist customer with online order problem. He insisted that was my problem as customer and not his and he cannot do anything. The wrong order I recieved was unsatisfactory. Corporate needs to retrain or replace the manager.

Big pothole right at the drive thru take out lane next to the pickup window. I would not want to risk damage to my tire, rim and suspension just for $10 take out. Condition existed for at least 6 months. ** They have fixed the problem finally!!

I picked up my online order yesterday night 12/05/2020 around 9:00 pm and nobody answered through the drive through speaker so i decided to pull up to the first window and this employee opens up the window and stears at me without saying a single word, then i said i was picking up an online order and she still silent, and rolled her eyes on me replying rude af “ for who” and i said my name and she just hanged the bag to me without having eye contact and without saying thank you or anything polite. She seems miserable at her job and she shouldn’t work at any retail store or anything that has customers service involved. It was a white fat blonde female by the way

I was craving something "healthy" and fast, so I sent the Mr out for a Yoshinoya run (we usually go to the location on Carson, but no one was answering the drive-thru). This location was our back-up and man, did they disappoint!!! I love me some Yoshinoya but first, they were all out of grilled tilapia (I get it, it's 11pm) but the way our food looked like it was just THROWN together (literally THROWN) just set me off. We will not be coming back to this location EVER. The attitudes they gave him (I guess bc they were ready to close BEFORE closing time) and the presentation of our food, in which mine looked better than his... such a shame!

ordered combo xl with teriyaki chicken and gyudon, the chicken was very dry, as if its been sitting in the freezer for months. beef was ok, but the portion didn't even fill up half of the food container. the floor was very dirty and sticky and some of the tables weren't cleaned. probably the worst yoshinoya branch I've visited in LA.

I went to the drive through and encountered a dismissive worker. The place wasn't busy at all but I still had to wait a while to receive my food. The food is good enough that my son wolfed his salmon bowl in a few minutes. I'll return again as third option to BCD and Ko Ryo Jung .

About 20 minutes in the drive thru line and when i get to the windows i ask the young lady, is the drive thru usually this slow? I was told there was a rice emergency. After paying and getting my food which happened to be barely warm, call it cold I said no thank you and requested my money back. She was not happy and with major attitude she gave the money back and never once apologized for the wait or barely warm food. I asked to speak with a mgr or supervisor on duty and was advised she was in charge and if i had a complaint to call corporate. So be it. I have called corporate and let them know of their service failure. Never again will i come back to this location. I took my business to Flame Broiler today.

Drive thru is very very slow. It took the cashier 10 minutes to say something over the intercom. Then had the nerve to say in a rude way, "can you hold on!" I've held on for 10 minutes. Then another cashier goes on the intercom and say,"what do you want to order?" Bad customer service.

Found this piece of plastic in our food. To think I bought my kid a meal as well and now I need to inspect her food. The rest of the raring is pretty much self explainable

Poor service. Not much of beef. Not only did they screwed up the order, they gave me under cooked chicken.

Ordered a regular bowl online. They messed up my order and seeing how I was allergic I proceeded to return the wrong order. They refused a refund and corporate has been no help either. Bad service all around.
