Great food with cute ambiance. I love the sticky mango rice! 🥭🍚😋 #Food #Ambiance #MangoRice
We have passed by this little jem for years without stopping in to try the food. And after eating there, we were upset with ourselves for taking so long to give the place a try. The papaya salad was the best I ever had. It was so crunchy and garlicky..and delicious! We also had their pad see eew with pork. It was perfect. And we finished the meal with an order of mango and sticky rice, of course, it was amazing as well. We will definitely be back to try everything else.
I go here often because it's very convenient for lunch. It gets busy, but that's for a reason. The food is excellent, and service is top notch. The staff is friendly and inviting, and the value is great. Portions are large for the price and they're always willing to work with you if you have a substitution out special request. If you are getting a to-go order it's a good idea to call ahead so you don't have to wait. It's a small place so waiting can be tough and if they're busy a to-go order can take a bit. Also, if you start going regularly they'll begin to remember you and your order, and I personally love feeling like "a regular".
This is one of those super-good secret spots to get really great Thai food fast. Not much space to dine, but if you're lucky, you'll have a seat and the wait is a breeze. Their Thai tea is so damn good you'll finish it before your meal arrives. Love this spot when I'm in the area.
The Penang curry here is super tasty and perfectly spicy. The curry is creamy and comes with a bell pepper slices as Penang usually does. I ordered mine with tofu, which is fried. Perfect to share if you’re not a huge eater. Comes with rice for $10! It’s nice to know they don’t charge extra for rice like most Thai restaurants in LA. Would come again if I’m in the area!!
Got the Chicken Ka Pow and a thai tea for around $16. They give you spice options and I got the hottest "Thai" spicy. It's definitely hot and the flavor is amazing, I'd definitely recommend it if you enjoy hot food. The thai tea is also good and it's way better than any boba place thai tea I've gotten. The portion size is also perfect for one person (about as much as a chiptole bowl for reference?). I will 100% come back here again to try their other dishes.
This place is absolutely delicious! One of the best Thai food places I have ever been to. The food is fresh with high quality ingredients. The place is very clean and the staff very courteous. The Thai oced te is not overly sweet like other places and every dish I've had has been delicious. They have a spicy pepper amd lime sauce that is absolutely amazing, super spicy so be careful. I'm just sad I didnt take a pic of their fabulous dishes. Highly recommend.
All their dishes are perfectly seasoned. Top notch food. Highly recommend.
This is a hole in the wall spot that's worth checking out. Good food and friendly staff, what more do you need? It's definitely no-frills so don't expect a high class experience. Very casual and quaint. I've been several times and plan to go back.
This restaurant is a true gem! I am from Thailand and their food literally is the best....very close to what I used to eat back at home. Their Thai Boat Noodle, Pad Thai, Pad See Eww and Papaya Salad are my all time favorites!!!! Must try!!!
One of my favorite Thai spots, even tho our last visit was not the best experience on our order! But hey no one is perfect. Rice was very bland no seasoning.
Great Thai food at great price. The flavor of the green curry is amazing! Love their pineapple fried rice, Phad Thai, Thai ice coffee and sticky rice with mango.
Sweet attentive staff and THE FOOD Wow THE FOOD! There are Thai dishes you think you have had but you haven't. Try your favorite dish @ Lhun 9 and thank me later. David
Cozy little place my gf and I decided to try out. Really sweet staff and excellent customer service. The food was delicious and affordable too! Definitely a bookmarked place (:
We ordered to-go for 20 people for my company and every order was perfect and delicious! This place has amazing food with an even more amazing staff.
They food is very good I had the soup and ground chicken with brown rice. Super friendly staff nice cozy spot to eat at if your not in a rush
delicious food that is reasonably priced. It's more of a takeout place but there are a handful of tables. The two sisters who run the place are delightful and friendly
This is our local Thai place. It's tini tiny but the food is so unique and fresh one you try it you won't go anywhere else. They don't deliver so you have to pick up. Try tha chicken Kapao and the soups with noodles added.
Great neighborhood restaurant, if you drive too fast, you might miss it. Mom-and-Pop-operated restaurant with authentic flavors at an affordable price. Small restaurant with just a couple of tables, and most of their business clients are takeout. The Papaya Salad has a fresh, and well-balanced flavor. The Ka Na Moo Krob, Crispy Pork with Chinese Broccoli over rice is the ultimate comfort food. Crispy, fatty, and sweet and salty. The serving size generous.
Authentic Thai place with great food. We had classic pad kra pao ( Thai people say this is the dish you order when you bored or don’t know what else to eat), very tasty and pretty similar like in Thailand. and moo krob which was great as well accompanied by a cha yen ofc.
From my 1 week vacation in California, this is the best Thai restaurant I’ve been to. Food is flavorful and customer service is amazing! Must try the Doo Dee Noodle Soup and Ka Pow! 10/10
I love Khun 9! They serve a variety of delicious authentic Thai dishes that you won’t regret. I’m a big fan of the Krapao moo krob (crispy pork) served with Thai basil, rice and a sunny side up egg. Thank you P’Tak for the wonderful food as always.
Such a great cozy spot for some good Khao Soi and of course some delicious mango sticky rice for dessert! Definitely coming back for more! Thank you for such great service!
It's a very home restaurant in your neighborhood. Lots of people go here because food they offer are clean deliciously affordable. Usually packed lunch time coming from offices around. It's a tidy cozy place to eat.
The best place for Thai food might be small, but the environment is welcoming comfy, and their sticky rice is to die for love this place
Excellent, very delicious and authentic. Red curry chicken lunch combo

Nice mom and pop Thai restaurant on Carson. It's a small location with only 4-5 tables and not much parking on the street or in the back. Flavors are excellent, nice spicy kick if you ask for it and the service is quick and very friendly. They do a lot of take out orders too.
IMO, the best Thai food in town with very big portions and good prices. Most people order to go, as there are few seats inside. Not on the menu, but the Mint Chicken ("Thai spicy") is my favorite.
Real talk - whenever a place has 4+ stars and is a small "hole in the wall" restaurant, you KNOW it's going to be good. This place 100% delivers on flavor. Ordered Chicken Satay and the Pad See Ew to go. I initially wanted to eat this over two days and it was gone in one sitting. The staff were also very kind. Will absolutely come back. Just a heads up for everyone planning on going - parking is limited in the back lot but there's a large neighborhood with street parking in the area.
This is the most authentic Thai restaurant I’ve eaten at since my last trip to Thailand. The food is full or all the natural flavors and you can tell they value authenticity. The Basil chicken is great. I love the fried pork and Chinese broccoli and all of the curry is excellent.
This cute little place has dealt great food! The seating area is small, but cozy. You can park in the back or on the street. The thia ice tea is great too! The sweetness is just right!

Very fast and friendly service! I've only tried the thai fried rice so far and it was really good! Tip: do not park at adjacent flame broiler. You will get towed. Parking is at rear by the alley.
Cozy hole in the wall where you can order to take home. Our family enjoyed the spring rolls, pad see ew, and mango with sticky rice in coconut milk.
Good food from a small hole in the wall (make sure you park directly behind them or you can get towed on either side). Only reason for 4 star is portion size.
They make great food! However it's a small restaurant so they have very little sitting space and it quickly gets crowded. They do have takeout though so I would recommend doing that.
Did a take out via grubhub yesterday -pad thai and it was delicious especially the dipping sauce on the side with chili!
Tried the ka pow and a small tom kah with chicken on both. The soup was so delicious. I love this type of soup and there’s a handful of restaurants that can interpret this dish to satisfy my taste buds. It’s not a soup for everybody because of so much happening with the flavors. The ka pow was ok. Not the best I’ve tried but quite a hefty portion. Maybe changing the protein might do the trick. Overall great experience and price was just right.
What do you order when you're being lazy at home and don't want to cook but still need to eat something heartwarming? Khun 9 Thai should be on your list of places to hit up to get that fixing right away. My friend and I ordered two dinner specials and were happy with what we got. I ordered their Tofu Penang Curry which came with white rice, side salad, and a fried wonton. I wasn't able to have the wonton but the curry itself was good (although it's hard to mess up coconut milk & curry paste). It definitely had a kick to it and I did ask for spicy, so I was happy it turned out that way. You don't normally find good dinner boxed sets at most restaurants anymore so it's a nice change of pace to see one being offered, especially at a Thai restaurant of all places. Thanks Khun 9 for the fast, simple, and tasty meal.

Enjoyed Thai food that doesn't require that one carry insulin after eating due to the high sugar content found in most Thai restaurants food. How refreshing to be able to taste something other than sweet. Fuiyo!!!
Good for togo or delivery as their space is very small. Foods are generally good, tried most of menu and all were good. Staffs are nice, they have a coulple parking behind of the building but normally streets are empty. Nice neighborhood thai place I go to when I crave thai food.

Great service, really family oriented type of staff here. The ingredients they use here are top notch. I just stumbled upon this place for the first time this week, and will be sure to be making this a once a week stop for lunch at the very least! One thing to take note of is the restaurant seating is extremely limited. So take-out seems to be a popular option. If you eat later in the afternoon like I do, around 2pm, you should be good, but if you come during prime time, it may take a while to find a seat clear up.
I went to this place based on the Google reviews. The food was fine, but I am disappointed with the portion and the way that they upsold the dish that I ordered. I ordered pad krapaw with sliced chicken breast. The waitress told me that it came with ground chicken breast and that I needed to pay an additional $2.00 if I wanted sliced chicken breast. If, according to her, the ground chicken was chicken breast, why should I pay more just because I wanted sliced chicken breast instead of ground chicken breast. This is the reason why I don't want ground chicken, because it is ground and it could be anything, but the real thing. Then, when I finally got my order, the chicken was cut in paper thin slices. Very thin slices spreaded on the plate just to make it look like it was a fair portion, but it was not. The thinner the slices, the less flavor, because thin pieces of chicken can't absorb the seasoning and spices as well as a thicker slice of chicken. Not only that, a thin slice of chicken can easily be overcooked, and it will just ruin the meal. I don't think that I might go back because I don't want to pay an additional $2.00 for such a small portion of chicken; plus the way they cut the chicken just to make more profit is not something that I would like to try again.
Khun 9 is a very small eatery that provides dine in or carry out options. The seating is limited, so plan on ordering take out if it is a busy time of day. The food is good, and there is a pretty decent list of options to choose from including vegetarian options. The cost is relatively inexpensive for what you get.
Good not great! Ordered the Pad See Ew and it was too sweet to my taste and did not have the smokey taste I'm used to at my fave Thai place. Also got the Crispy Pork w/ Chinese brocolli and it was too expensive and should have been called Chinese Brocolli w/ 2 very thin pcs of Crispy pork because that is all there is to it. Half of the meal. I was just eating Brocolli. The only thing good about them is that they had the spicy condiments. I don't think I will ever be back esp parking is hard too. Every parking space says for Flame Broiler customer parking only.
Food was ok, service was ok. Definitely not the worst dining but definitely nothing to rant about. I had pad thai but it was far too sweet and also the thai tea was full of ice and hardly had any tea in it, also I left hungry so I think that speaks for itself. No plans to go back.
I ordered lunch from Khun 9 Thai Kitchen today for delivery from GrubHub. It was my first time trying it, and here is my take on the yellow curry with Tofu and Thai "Iced-Tea" I ordered... PROS: <1> Quick service. <2> Great sturdy packaging. <3> Food was hot and fresh. CONS: <1> I got the Thai or Vietnamese Coffee instead of the Thai iced-tea and it was way too strong and sweet for me to drink. <2> The salad was yummy, as was the rice. However, the yellow curry wasn't as flavorful as some other Thai places, so I was underwhelmed.
We ordered spicy fried rice and papaya salad. The fried rice was a bit mushy. But the papaya salad was good !

Ordered phad see ew at the food truck and there was only sugar added.. no other seasonings like salt. Very disappointing and the only protein choices were tofu or chicken.
Seemed like a really nice place... they managed to burn my noodles and give me tofu when I ordered chicken😢... not the best first experience but I would try again just in case, I tried it again..... and they gave me someone else's order, they called me to take it back and pick up my order. I'm assuming they gave the order I returned to the person who originally ordered it but ewww what if I was sick, once the order leaves the restaurant they cant give it to someone else. ... How many pick-up orders do you think they mess up where they ask people to return it ??? Not taking my chances on this place again. UNSANITARY

Chicken Pad Thai too small and too dry. Rude lady doesn't give Thai Chili sauce. Prik Nam Pla and Pik Dong. That lady made me stressed out and angry. No consideration for customer.
