Food was so good! Excellent customer service! Great atmosphere!
Ordered coffee right away to get our fix and it was really good. We had cafe con leche. We both had the Churrasco and we both loved it. Marinated in lime juice and/or orange juice with a hint of Cumin, it was phenomenal and tender! We ordered the tamal but I didn’t really care too much for it. My wife said it wasn’t bad but it was missing something. The service was good and the lady taking care of us was so nice. When we’re ever back on this side of town, we will be back. Really good Cuban spot here
Local South Bay Harbor Area Resident Cuban here I miss how my Mom made the Cuban Sandwiches been coming to this place for awhile now after her death just to buy the Cuban 🥪 Sandwiches with Fries. They make them good here. Highly recommend 🥪😃☺️🇨🇺🔥🤤😋
I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Habana Vieja. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel welcome and well taken care of. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxed dinner or a special occasion. The food was exceptional—every dish was full of flavor, beautifully presented, and clearly made with fresh ingredients. I highly recommend the Lechón Asado Traditional—it was a standout! The drinks were also fantastic, with a great selection of cocktails and wines. Service was attentive without being overbearing, and our server was knowledgeable about the menu, offering great recommendations. Overall, this place is soothing. I’ll definitely be coming back and bringing friends. If you’re in the area, definitely try it out
Mom and pop shops like this place are typically good, and this place is no exception. The food is savory without being over the top salty, and the portions are just right, although some folks may take it to go. I had the salmon, and the presentation was as good as the flavor. Try the smashed green plantain as an appetizer and, of course, can't have Cuban food without the signature fried plantain. All in all, this spot is worth a try when you are craving some Cuban food.
First time trying this place and I enjoyed it. From the music, decor and fold everything was good. Personally maybe the portions could've been a little larger but I also went for lunch as my 1st meal of the day 🤣. I had the oxtail which was 🤌🏾. Will be back to try some of the sandwiches and steak.
GREAT SERVICE, EVEN BETTER FOOD. The bread and frijole mix served as curtesy was amazing and the food got better from there. Yucca and Chicharron appetizer could nearly be a plate on its own, and the PAELLA was perfect albeit slightly different than traditional, but in a very good way.(white sauce on the clams is spectacular).Clams ,muscles, shrimp, octopus steak slivers ,scallops all cooked perfectly and the saffron rice mix was impeccable.. Best meal I've had in a while, and one of the best Paellas I've ever eaten. Hats off to the chef of this great restaurant.
Found this place online while staying in an nearby hotel and after visiting Cuba a few years ago had to come and try. Ordered a traditional Cubano sandwich and it was brilliant. Authentic great Cuban taste. Marinated meats with mustard on fresh toasted roll and served with fries. I also ordered a white coffee which was sweet just as I remember. Great lunch. Totally full and totally met my expectations. The location isn’t huge but has seating for maybe 40 people. Service was great even though I sadly don’t speak Spanish the menu was easy and I was tempted by so many dishes. Will definitely go back. Can highly recommend. Parking is easy just outside
Love this place for Sunday Brunch. It tarts at 10am. The oxtail is outstanding and just falls off the bone with flavor. Make sure to get the onions with the chicken and slather more sauce on it. The pork by the omelette station just melts in your mouth tender. They have cut back on the desserts since the last time we visited but they did add coffee. Awesome job and keep up the good food.
“ARTE & SABOR” you see it immediately as you walking into this cute and artistic joint . Welcoming ambiance radiating the Latin passion for foods and drinks. The waitress is very helpful and cute. Rosa has the most sincere attitude when she introduces the menu. Her biggest smiles reminds me of Salsa dancing by the bum fire- warm like evening caribbean sun. The cowbell rhythm salsa music plays through out the restaurant make my feet want to dance cha cha cha. 😜🤪 The sea food paella has my vote. OoooooMG. This rice taste so good. Refreshing sea food in Paella , savory sauce, and rice is so comforting to my soul. You have to order it 45 minutes ahead if you want to taste the ARTE de SABOR dish- Sea Food Paella. My daughter love the spanish Lechon Asado - pull pork with mojo sauce and Rabo Encendido - ox- tail braided in red wine sauce. Come by for the taste of wonder of this Cuban flair joint. You will appreciate the Latin taste in Carson that make you appreciate life and health in this Havana trip. May God continue bless the person who brought me here and people who served us. May God bless you all. Los Saludos! Good night 🌙😘💤 In the name of Jesus I prayed
Service was friendly and helpful. First time here and the suggestions were great.my son got the Cuban sandwich with tostones. The tostones were crispy. The sandwich was a good size filled with good pork, ham & cheese. Grilled nicely. I had the slow roasted pork with mojo sauce. Sides were white rice w/ black beans. So delicious. My cousin had the tamales. The masa was on the sweet side for my taste. However it was light and not dense. I would definitely go back.
$53 for 2 sandwiches, a soda, tea, and 2 cream cheese empandas. Ehhh, the food was tasty, don't get me wrong but for that price I was expecting more. The woman who served us was friendly and informative. We went on Saturday afternoon and were the only ones in the dining room and only 1 other at the bar. I don't think we will be back.
It was a great place to taste cuban food but the quality has decreased flavor wise. The 5 reasons why I think this is a nice place are: 1. authentic cuban dishes 2. fresh ingredients 3. Fair price/portion ratio 4. fast and friendly service 5. great atmosphere for family and friends The only thing I did not like is the lack of flavor/spices used in the food, the pulled beef taste was bland and the half chicken has zero flavor, not even smoky flavor or anything from the grill. Latin food is always full of flavor but this wasn't the case here. The maduros were the only thing I liked If you don't know what to order, get the "Ropa Vieja" is your go to, not perfect or as flavorful as it should be, but it's something. I wouldn't go again unless they season and spice their food in a more authentic latin way.
I ordered to go, and I called ahead to order based on pictures of the menu, I used to go back before covid when they had a buffet, and food used to be really good. So I order yuca with chicharrones because I see on a picture that it was served with beans and bananas, but when I called they said no it was not and they suggest to order rabo encendido since that one came with rice , bananas and beans. I also ordered the yucca as a side dish. I went to pick up, to go, since I dont have enough time for lunch, when I got back to work, to eat there, I seen they did not put any napkins or utensils, packagin was horrible, the banans where all mixed with the juice from the rabo encendido, the yucca was super oily and I was very disappointed to see all food mixed up and only 2 pieces of rabo, my total with no drinks just for those 2 things was $40.68 And I don't mind paying a lot when food is worth it, but not this one, I was totally disappointed
Tl;dr: 6 pieces of shrimp for $16 to-go plate (w/ rice and 3 plantains)- no thanks! We picked up food here. It was tasty, but I can't fathom a place that gives 6 likely pre-frozen (size 31-40/lb) shrimp and charges customers $16 for it. Taste was good but not worth it What we got: lechon asada (pulled pork), camarones Al ajillo (shrimp in a garlic infused wine sauce) - flavor wise, we liked the garlic shrimp better- but it's hard to go wrong with garlic/butter/white wine sauce. Pork dish was generous, but a tad dry Had high ratings and reviews, so was hopeful! But Not coming back here
Besides the food being very expensiveThe waiter try to overcharge me 25 dls and I point it out to him and he didn't even offer an apology. Customers beware these people will robe you.
