I recently used Meeting Palace to provide the catering for an event for 120 people. They supplied a selection of vegan and chicken curries with rice, naan, poppadoms and salad. The food was delicious and I received very positive feedback from the guests.

My experience here was nothing less of AMAZING. I have had takeaway, dined in the restaurant and also had some of their food at catered events. Every single time it has been incredibly delicious! The owner is so enthusiastic about the food and the Sri Lankan hospitality is handed out freely. I always feel very welcomed here. They are very understanding about allergies and intolerances and do their best to accommodate where they can. As a coeliac I have enjoyed countless meals from here without any concerns. I will always keep coming back here not just because the food is amazing but the service and atmosphere is just as good. I love going somewhere knowing you will always be looked after well.

This place blows my mind. Food that tastes authentically Sri Lankan every time. The chef replicates food I remember growing up on in Colombo. They capture the true essence of Colombo in the taste combinations. I recommend you go Medium spice as a max unless you’re really used to extreme spice and venture hotter than this. Dishes that are unbelievable tried and tested. Reordered every time Chicken or Mutton Biriyani Devilled Mutton or Chicken Chilli Paneer Egg Gothamba Roti All their Rotis are fantastic Chicken Ceylon Brinjal Jaffna style. Don’t forget the spice level. Enjoy!!!

They catered for our daughter's wedding alongside another restaurant. The food was outstanding and our guests were very impressed. When we went there for our food tasting the service was excellent, Rajan listened to all our requests and made the food exactly to our taste. Best Sri Lankan Kottu we had in London. The staff was great. The new server lady was very nice and did a great job. Definitely would visit again.

What a Gem 💎 we found! Excellent service by the owner and his chefs, the food was very tasty, plentiful and absolutely delicious as well as reasonably priced! Good decor and great music. We will definitely visit again and recommend to family and friends.

We had our birthday party . Extremely enjoyable experience. Food was fabulous. Particularly starters * tilapia fish pakoda* , Biryani* & lemon puff desert . All in all great food . I would say that best briyani ever had . Very friendly approach with restaurant management to conduct the party . Owner/ manager was very helpful & friendly. The restaurant looks really different than other srilankan food places. It Looks natural with the different decoration. Unique by its own style . I will def come back and will be recommended highly .

We have had the privilege of hosting a number of charity lunches in aid of Methodist College OGA Education Trust at Meeting Palace, and have found the menu, staff and service to be consistently outstanding and exceptional. Their charges are reasonable and our guests have always enjoyed the ambiance and hospitality and provided us with excellent feedback.

Excellent place to try authentic Sri Lankan quisine at a very reasonable price. Service was great and very friendly and welcoming. Recommend the fish curry and hopers.

Just spent a wonderful evening with family at this tremendous restaurant. It was a hopper happy feast with mutton curry, chicken curry, brinjal curry, speciality lamb (hot hot hot) curry, chicken masala dosai.... my god my god my god!!!! Fantastic service , fantastic food and a gem of Sri Lankan cuisine.

Utterly amazing South India/Sri Lankan restaurant with its own unique menu that has a fabulous range of dishes including many soups. Everything I've had here has been first-class. The decor is unusual, consisting of carved wood and other pieces from Sri Lanka together with some kind of garden effect. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. You can find more expensive restaurants, but you can't find better. Cheap lunch menu but randomish opening hours.

I visited Meeting Palace for a 40th birthday party on 31st January, and it was a fantastic experience. The food was absolutely delicious the mutton, chicken fry, beans, lentils, onion salad, and aubergine chutney were all excellent. The atmosphere was lively, and the customer service was great throughout the event. They had a brilliant DJ music system, and the whole family had an amazing time. A special mention to Rajan, the proprietor, who even played the Sri Lankan drum during the dancing, it really added to the fun and made the evening memorable. Highly enjoyable and a great place for food and functions.

Lunch is only £3 (paneer). Always with different sides Love it, but wish they were open everyday Can't get cheaper that this, with the same quality

We had a group of 15 last Sunday.The food was great.Raj obliged everybody’s need and one of us a vegan and he made the effort of making a Mogo chips as a starter for the individual. Throughly enjoyed the evening and I will recommend any body to taste the palatable food.Price very reasonable and the place well decored.

Great food. We went there as we bought a OPEN TABLE £50 gift voucher but they didn't know about this scheme. However manager agreed to accept kindly although it didnt work at the end. We ended up there as we finished a walk nearby and wanted to try something diffrent. If you can over look the ambiance it is a nice restaurent for food and if you want to try something difftent. Lentil and vada starters were yummm although a bit hot so ask for less spicy if you are not used to it V Resonable prices and resonable portion sizes....great Masala tea and fish dishes. Service can be improved although 2 young boys who were serving us were very polite. Will go again if around ever again in that area.

if you're south asian, you will love this place!! One of the best south asian restaurants I've been too. Food is delicious and and have a great variety of dishes. You can hire the place to have your own private party. The downside is that from my experience the food can take quite long so better call em before eating, also if you are hiring the place its only limited up until midnight which is kind of a bummer.

Not that great. Pretty dry food, it’s also on the expensive side. We had ordered Kothus - even the taste was quite off.

We booked a table for 6 and went last night. A lovely little restaurant with plenty of ambience and decor traditional Srilankan style really nice. Unfortunately sad to say one of our work colleagues arrived there and she mentioned a booking in my name and the manager told her to sit there and pointed to a chair. She waited for about 10 minutes and was getting quite anxious and approached the manager to ask could he please call me and say that shes waiting here. He rudely told her that he doesnt have my numbr but she replied yes you do but he said to her I DONT HAVE TIME TO CHECK. So she left and went home. We then came to the restaurant to join her and she wasnt there. After calling her she informed us about what had happened. I then calked the Manager to come to our table and asked him "why he didnt call my mobile to inform me that one of our friends was waiting here and worried". Well to make a long story short he replied he doesnt have time to ring people up and stuff and then to my disgust "HE TOLD ME TO PISS OFF AND LEAVE HIS RESTAURANT". We were totally shocked. I replied to him and said how unprofessional you are and how rude of you to speak to a customer like that. Anyway he went back to the service area and took his keys and left the restaurant... I would suggest the owner gets rid of this employee as he clearly has a problem. On a good note the chef cooked really excellent food and the waiter that served us was really nice and did apologise to us.... really not happy at all.

Used to go here few years back. Was great service good food but the last time I went the door was open went inside tried to call Sombody but nobody attended to us.. Waited round 5min Sombody attends to us and tells us they are closed.. Today went in cause they had sign flashing (OPEN) and the door was open so went in only to be told they not open.. Why leave the door open and a sign saying your open? Disappointing & Definitely want be going here again.

What a load of rubbish. Waited hour and a half for starters and 2 and a half for mains. Not even getting the dessert we paid for. Would recommend going to the McDonalds down the road from it.

Food is fine.. but service is horrible!! Dont expect them to cater them to small functions!! And also expect cuss words from the owner!!

Worst experience... The delivery person cancelled the order aftr reaching the place.. Disgusting. Jst because he cannot find the place, he cancelled the order.. Very bad mannerisms. No value for the customer.

I don't know what happened to this restaurant, I used to go and like the food but have tried few occasions recently and I won't be coming back. Bad service, horrible food... a window broken in the front door for a long time, no customers.... There was no waiter and someone from the kitchen came to take my order, he was with his clothes dirty and smelly like oil and food, how disgusting! I left my food! He asked if I wanted for take away which obviously I said NO, thank you.

Been going to this for years and had no issues Went to order my normal food lamb Biryani , mutton rolls and with that your need nan roti or my case parota but when i ask for it they said we dont have any so i asked for chappti or nans sorry we dont do them there from outside catering Think i was baffled to the least when he said this bare inmind its just gone 7pm and was not full at all Then asks doni still want my order (Well have a guess 😔) I have idea roll some more how can this be happening and i think it was the owner on the phone could be wrong Like going to mc donalds asking for big mac meal but we have no big macs 🤔🤔🤔😌
