Stayed here for 2 nights midweek. Staff were excellent and friendly, service was outstanding. And the food was classical, hearty and delicious. The room itself was clean and tidy, well kept and the coffee machine was a nice touch. Air con was also a lifesaver during the heatwave! Feels much better than a 3* - probably due to the lack of breakfast. But plenty of local options. 100% would return, thank you

We recently hired The Princess Victoria to host our wedding reception and it was fantastic. From the very beginning when first visiting the pub as an option for the wedding, to the planning process with Ez and Jay, through to the execution of the day itself - our experience with the venue and all it's staff was seamless. The pub is a beautiful building inside and out, situated in a great location 10 minutes down the road from Shepherds Bush station. We were lucky enough to book out some hotel rooms above the pub for friends and family the night of the wedding, which made things that much easier on the day. Accommodating and helpful would be an understatement, Ez and Jay were integral in how easy the day went. Replying to emails with thoughtful and useful answers helped us plan out our day perfectly. With help from all members of staff in the evening, serving food and drink. The food at the pub is also amazing, we were able to a food and wine tasting day before the wedding and we got endless complements on how high quality the 3 course meal and wine was. Complements to the chefs. Couldn't recommend the pub highly enough, we enjoyed a few drinks the night before the wedding as well and the pub has a great atmosphere. Loads of people, loads of laughs and a great setting all round!

Superb Pub/Restaurant with Professional, dedicated & welcoming staff. We visit alternate Saturdays & also midweek ahead of local football with QPR. It works so well for us on every level & we have a mixed group, couples, singles & mix of youngsters. Nothing is too much trouble & we thoroughly enjoy ourselves. Great food selection & premium drinks. Great offers available & for us, the best pub on the row in that vicinity. Clear structure from Manager down & I’d be surprised if you didn’t enjoy it.

Had dinner at Pricees Victoria and it was an absolute treat. I had the duck special with potatoes — perfectly cooked, rich, and packed with flavour. My friend went for the sea bream with risotto, which was beautifully done and tasted just as good as it looked. The presentation, the taste, the service — everything was spot on. If you’re anywhere near Victoria, this place is 100% worth a visit. Highly recommend.

I was completely blown away by the specials at Princess Victoria. I started with the beetroot soup, served chilled with a light herbal note and the perfect crunch from the crisp veggie fritters on the side. Then came the star of the show: the Chicken Schnitzel special, Every bite had contrast crispy, rich, tangy, and fresh and it all worked so well together. Honestly, one of the best schnitzels I’ve had in a long time. Huge thanks to Jay and Shalom for their recommendations and service they made the whole experience even better. I’ll definitely be back soon and I highly recommend checking out the specials if you're visiting.

Recently visited and was thoroughly impressed! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The decor was cozy and traditional, with great pieces of artwork all over the walls. What really stood out was the exceptional service. The staff were friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Our lovely server Shalom, was knowledgeable about the menu and made some great recommendations. Food was top-notch! We ordered a few different dishes to share, and everything was delicious. The portions were generous, and the prices were very reasonable. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great pub experience.

Room was small, but fine for a couple of nights. Plenty coffee pods, fluffy white towels & comfortable bed. Good menu with offers on food on various nights.

Hosted a post-Baptism party here and was blown away by the service. Jay and the team were really helpful in the organisation and execution on the day. Food was lovely and the drinks flowed. Everyone loved the giant pizzas! Would highly recommend.

We had our engagement party at The Princess Victoria and it was absolutely perfect. The venue is stunning, the food was delicious, and the staff were so friendly and accommodating—nothing was too much trouble. We also stayed the night and the room was lovely with a super comfy bed. Everything ran so smoothly and we felt really well looked after. Couldn’t recommend it more for a special occasion! Thank you guys!

Hosted our wedding ceremony and reception here, and it was an absolute dream! All of the guests raved about the food, the space needed minimal decoration, and the staff were so hospitable from start to end. Special thanks to Jay for all your help; we can’t wait for our next visit to the PV.

Went there last Friday and had such a great time. The pub itself is beautiful, and the food was genuinely amazing. We got there just as happy hour was happening, absolute steal for the quality of drinks and snacks. The weather was perfect, which added to the whole vibe. The staff were lovely whenever they had a moment to chat or check in, which we really appreciated. Con: Ive worked in hospitality and it was clear they were short-staffed, and still, they handled everything so well. What was a bit upsetting, though, was seeing how some customers treated them. A couple of people who claimed to be regulars caused a scene because they missed happy hour by a few minutes. The staff and manager handled it gracefully, but honestly, no one deserves that kind of treatment. Would definitely go again tho I hope the team gets more support, because they’re doing an amazing job under pressure.

Best Food in West London – Hidden Gem! I can honestly say this pub serves the best food in West London. The quality is outstanding, the portion sizes are incredibly generous, and the value for money is almost too good to be true – especially with the amazing discounts they offer. You’d expect to pay double for food this good! Special shoutout to Shalom, who is the most amazing waitress – warm, attentive, and genuinely cares about making your experience perfect. The whole team is so lovely and personable, making you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. Also a huge bonus: it’s super dog friendly, which just adds to the relaxed, homely vibe. Can’t recommend this place enough!

We stayed here because we're big fans of the film The Gentleman, and the princess Victoria was were it was filmed. Absolutely loved the pub, friendly staff and a great atmosphere all round. Rooms were spotless and had everything we needed. We ate in the restaurant, the food was delicious. We would definitely go again.

The Princess Victoria is a place full of history. It is located in the Shepard’s Budge market area, a 15 minute walk from the tube. The only reason I gave is four stars is because the pub itself is a bit isolated from attractions. But that is what transit is for! Let me tell you the reason why you should spend a few nights here. It is one of the first gin palaces in England. It was a large communing hub where people would stop. Recently it was also a filming location for the tv series the Gentleman. It is gorgeous inside with a good atmosphere. Great for those looking for a location to work remotely or hang with family, friends, and your four legged friends. The hotel room itself is cute and elegant. And It is just that, a room and bathroom. It is cozy and comfortable and all you need. It is not like a regular hotel, you check in at the bar and they give you a key and whenever you check out you there is a drop box to leave the key. Simple and straightforward. They have an amazing selection of wine and spirits as well as beer. But the food was my favorite part. There was a great selection of options. I had the fish and chips, probably some of the best I have had my whole trip. The fish tasted so fresh and the chips were perfectly crisp. My husband had the flat bread and dips, this was definitely shareable. The staff were very helpful when it came to dietary restrictions. If you want a unique and friendly atmosphere with good food and drinks this is the place to stay. You may also learn a new fact or two from the staff as well. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

I went for a pint and a meal with my dad. And it was so so good. The service was honestly unbelievable! Shalom and the team (Emily in particular) were so hospitable and the vibes were top notch! Thank you people, want to stay here for his 60th too!

The room was clean, tidy, very cosy and well designed. The bed was very comfortable and check in and out very simple. The area is very fun to explore, and easy walking distance to the O2 Shepherds Bush Empire for concerts. 30% off for food at the pub downstairs when staying in the rooms, and it was one of the most delicious pub dinners I have had in a long time. Couple of gluten free options including an incredible steak. Their gluten free brownies are wonderful too.

We had our wedding at The Princess Victoria and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Everything ran so smoothly from start to finish, and the team was so professional and friendly throughout. We had loads of compliments on the food (it was absolutely delicious!), and our guests who stayed in the hotel rooms said they were lovely and comfortable. All of our guests commented on what a perfect space it was for the kind of relaxed, joyful wedding we wanted. Thank you to all the staff for helping us create such a wonderful day. We couldn’t recommend The Princess Victoria more highly!

Came here for Sunday lunch last week. The food was great and worth the price, service was great too. There was only one small issue - we could hear the music from the kitchen over the music playing in the restaurant.

We frequent the Princess Vic as the food/beer is consistently great. We have been working nearby for almost a year and attend almost weekly. A proper boozer that deserves recognition for its traditional feel, paired with modern standards. Keep up the good work!

Me and my wife have done a tour of Sunday roasts in London and this is honestly up there in the top 3. The chicken roast is succulent, tasty, and made with care, and the staff are lovely (shout out to Victor and Riaz). Bravo!

I dined at the princess Victoria with my two friends tonight for my friend’s birthday. We were served by Jack (Jacek) and he made our experience absolutely incredible and so memorable. His service was outstanding and he was so friendly and helpful with the menu and when dealing with our requests. He helped me make my friend’s birthday special with putting candles in the cake for dessert and bringing it out and singing happy birthday to her too! The service from Jack was the best I have received when dining at the princess Victoria and I can’t thank him enough for his hard work and kindness! The food was also absolutely delicious and we enjoyed every single bite of the Camembert, pizza and fish and chips! We can’t wait to return!

Organised a baby shower in the 1829 room upstairs for 40 people. The experience was excellent. Manager was accommodating. Food was amazing especially the pizza and the kebabs. The room had a/c which was much appreciated on a hot day. We were able to get our decorations and cake free of charge and move the furniture around the room. The room has its own toilets upstairs which was convenient. The pub itself is really nice, lots of room and great selection of drinks. Only criticism is the barman upstairs could have been more attentive as people kept on waiting for him to return back to the bar. Will return again.

Great stay in a hotel. Come downstairs for Sunday Lunch and it was one of the busiest pub in London that we have seen so far. Lady manager sit us down and provided amazing service even though she was running all the tables. Roasts were good and beer selection is great. Toilets were clean even though a full pub!

We have never had Christmas lunch away from a family home. This year we thought we would try our beautiful and welcoming local pub, The Princess Victoria. We were not disappointed — it was absolutely fantastic! It was busy but not too busy, the atmosphere was electric, the staff were all on good form (particular mention to Jay who is the very best of bar men and a great host! And Ez, the manager, who organised a brilliant day, and if it was stressful she did not show it and took the time to have a chat and wish everyone a happy Christmas!). Also a special thank you to the chef, kitchen team and waiting staff. The food was delicious, served piping hot and with military precision! The whole afternoon was simply brilliant and excellent value - also because you could pre-order bottles of booze at an offer price, a great idea. We will definitely be back next year! Thank you to you all who gave up your Christmas Day to make ours so memorable and fun! I wish the Pub and all the staff a great 2025! Very best wishes Karen & Nick

I went with two friends for a Sunday roast on 24th November. Having been a few times over the summer and it being quiet, I didn’t think to book and the place was packed. We sat at the bar to wait for a table and started on a bottle of wine (St Emilion Grand Cru) from their brilliant wine list. It became apparent that they were short staffed, and service was slow. A guy came to the bar to complain, and we could see some tense exchanges between the staff. Once seated we were served by three wait-staff, two ladies with shoulder length bobs and one with long black hair and an undercut. All three served us with patience and grace and didn’t bring any of their stress to the table which was really impressive. The roast chicken with loads of vegetables was delicious. The staff member with the long black hair/undercut overheard that there was a birthday at the table and asked whose it was. I said, ‘It’s mine, but PLEASE DON’T SING!’. At the end of the meal, my sticky toffee pudding was served with a candle and that wonderful human sang Happy Birthday to me discreetly and really quietly, which was very brave considering and honestly the sweetest thing. Would highly recommend for brilliant service and excellent food.

Very hectic pub! Could not find a space to sit but General Manager found a space for us and took our orders straight away. It was very lively and make you feel in a nostalgic Bristish Pub. We had a great lunch however it was really disturbed by kids running around!

The Princess Victoria hosted our work Xmas party on Friday night and did an excellent job! The private room upstairs is very spacious and beautifully decorated; the food was also very tasty. A massive thank you to all the staff who helped out on the night as well as Ez for organising the booking and Tyler for being so friendly and helpful on the night :D

We used the 1829 room to host a 30th birthday last month, and had an excellent time. The venue was very accommodating given we had organised a murder mystery party, and the staff were friendly, professional and attentive - namely Tyler and Jay. The food was also excellent. Highly recommend.

The Princess Victoria Hotel in London is located in lively Shepherd's Bush, its close to the Tube and Westfield shopping mall. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and cozy with a comfy super-king size bed and great rain shower. The staff are warm and helpful. I'd recommend this place to anyone visiting London.

Went there for a pint, decor was quite nice, pints are pretty expensive for a pub in White City

We stayed 2 nights. The good points were fluffy white towels & friendly staff. Unfortunately a few negative points though, no lift, four sets of stairs up to the first floor, the cleaning in the bathroom wasn't the best, the floor & the glass shower screen had not been cleaned, light bulbs not working, also the TV was smashed. When we mentioned this to a young manageress she just smiled and said sorry & to send an email, albeit they knew about it, but didn't even remove it from the room. So, some room management definitely needs to be addressed before releasing a room to a guest. We enjoyed the 2 sirloin steaks & bottle of Merlot for £45 on Wednesday night, good atmosphere and cosy pub.

The pub is really good. The staff, especially Shalom and J, are the lovely to engage and professional. Decent food. 1 star missing from my review is the few people vape inside the pub.

Came to eat after work with my Mrs arrived at 9:10 we were informed kitchen closed at 9:30, we had a voucher given to us worth £50 which we could spend on food and drink. So we placed our orders, but the man who served us and we think he was a supervisor/manager. He was very rude , he originally gave us a food menu and then when we asked for a drinks menu he looked very annoyed that we had asked as if we were bothering him. Then our drinks and food came , drinks were very good. Food , poor. He came to take payment and I believe we were around £7 over from our voucher, and we were charged more because he had added the service charge. Now I have no problem paying service charge when it’s been shown in the service, however I was not happy to pay this since his attitude since we arrived was rude and unwelcoming. It seemed busy in the pub but even under stressful days at work, this bad energy shouldn’t be thrown onto customers trying to have a nice evening. Disappointed and won’t be returning .

M
Maja Milosavljevic

We’ve always loved this pub and come regularly but im not super keen on some of the changes. The staff are friendly still but man how could you get rid of the pizzas?! Also the quality of the roast is slowly slipping- the potatoes weren’t roast potatoes and the chicken is looking increasingly like nandos (i love nandos but not for my sunday roast). Plus the choice for someone who doesnt eat roast is now practically non existent. My husband was forced to have the ravioli and was super disappointed at the quantity vs price. It feels like corners are being cut while prices are just going up. I still havent given up on you guys but please keep the quality high coz we cant lose another regular pub!

C
Christopher Brown

Wish they hadn’t decided to stop the takeaway pizzas. It has become our go to on a Friday evening for a few pints and a takeaway. I had also suggested they do a jolly good takeaway burger but they didn’t seem to agree so we go there less than we’d like to.

L
Louis Valerini

Really nice looking place and staff were friendly but I was ordering at the bar and still they added 20% service charge until I pointed out I had not received any service. When prices are already high and I wasn’t receiving service this is a great way to lose customers.

C

Pub is nice and I like the wood burner. Food is average.

Writing about my experience 3 months ago, so maybe things have changed since then but: An average Sunday roast, nothing to write home about. The decor of the pub was nice, but the atmosphere seemed quite tense. The staff also had a confused air about them, and never seemed quite sure about what they were doing which left us unable to feel truly comfortable while eating. They weren’t also very attentive. Overall not a bad experience, but I won’t be a repeat visitor.

T
Tom O'Brien

Went for a drink and liked the place, so thought we’d book Christmas dinner. Did so, only to find an email “confirming our cancellation”. Rang up, no answer, emailed the address, got a bounce-back send failed. Other comments say a bigger booking was prioritised, imagine the same for ours but Princess Victoria never had the decency to reach out! Plenty of other places around, don’t bother with anywhere this inconsiderate.

M
MrTopbreak

I had a roast beef Sunday dinner; the food was warm at best the vegetables were tasteless and probably the worst bit of beef I have ever been served in any restaurant. It was riddled with fat all the way through and was barely eatable. The roast potatoes were soft and again tasteless. The only good thing was the service, other than that I doubt if I'll ever return.

S
Sky Nik

Paid for a meal and never received it. Staff claimed they called me and dumped the food on a random table, then blamed our group when it disappeared, while I was sitting there the entire time. No refund, kitchen closed, zero accountability. Rude, unprofessional, and unacceptable service. Never again

J
James Alexander

Had our team Christmas dinner booked in for over a month. Suddenly received a "thank you for cancelling" email. When I rang it turns out they have cancelled my booking to just accommodate a bigger booking that has come in a month later and didn't even have the courtesy to reach out.

Went in for a drink and dinner with a friend midweek. Quiet crowd apart from children allowed to run up and down the pub. The screaming kid ran into my knee eventually. That seemed to quieten it. Staff did nothing to address. When I approached the bar to enquire about food, the bar man/person looked at me and said “over here” as he pointed to the other side of the bar. I assumed I had to walk round rather than him approach me. Weird. I ordered the haddock and chips (safe bet) and was seated in the empty restaurant. The food came out in 5 mins steaming hot, presumably from a microwave. I kid you not, the fish was the same size as a chicken leg and there was 11 chips on the plate. The lovely waitress who dropped the food off forgot the cutlery and when she returned I inquired if this was the adult fish and chips and she embarrassingly said yes and that the plates were big… making the fish look smaller. I took a photo of it right then and there. She knew I was not happy. My friend joked that you would receive better quality in Wetherspoons. When paying the bill, they automatically removed the service charges but did not verbally engage with me. When I went out front for a vape, there were hooded men sitting around a bottle of shop bought lucozade staring at me on the outside furniture. When I went back into the pub toilet, there was 3 more hooded guys standing in there leaning against a sink. Felt very unsafe. Would never return here in a million years. Ran by amateurs.

The worst experience I've ever had in a restaurant. Our reservation was at 21:00 on New Year's Eve, the waitress didn't knew were was our table. When we get sat, we wait for 40 minutes for someone to offer us a menu or something, no one even looks at us, taking into account that the restaurant was almost empty. When we decided to ask for a menu because we were hungry, the waitress tell us that the kitchen closes in 10 minutes, when she brings us the menu she rushes us because because of that, then another waitress comes to rush us again and to remind us that the kitchen closes in 10 min, in a very pushy way. 40 minutes waiting for someone to notice us and all of the sudden we are so important, that was pathetic. We ask for dinner, and again, no one tries to offer us something to drink, I mean, it's a pub, so with dinner served and not even a glass of water, we ask a waitress for a bottle of wine, and she asks what wine, a bit difficult to know without a menu. But I look it up on the web as I didn't want to wait another 40 minutes to get served. Our plan was to spend there the evening, as for what they put on their website we could have had a good time for the new year's, but it was so disappointing. As we finished dinner we paid and we leaved the restaurant as we wanted nothing to do with that place. Oh, and of course the 11% on the bill for "good service" or something like that, HA! Funny joke.

D
David Lemkin

We had the Xmas menu. The food was edible but really bland. The gravy was gloopy and out of a packet. The portions were pretty small. It really wasn’t worth it the price. I’ve been going there for years and it has gone downhill dramatically. The staff are friendly enough but seemed a bit demotivated. The whole experience was flat. A great shame.
