Opinions de The Glasshouse London
Great place for sport. Nice fellows.
Beautiful park, cleaned and organised. Great way to spend the say besides being next to the recent reopened Power Station with its shops and restaurants
Terrific facility in the heart of the Park. Easy access. Very popular.
Well equipped gym with great views over running track and Power Station- really good value for money- friendly staff.
We have had our annual tennis tournament here for three years now, excellent facilities, nearby parking and helpful staff who are friendly and responsive. Thank you!
This is the best place for athletics. If your passion is track etc this is the place for you if your local. I ran 400m here for the past 2 years. I totally recommend it.
Such a great place to spend one hour in the lake on a pedal boat that doesn’t pollute the environment and at the same time you can see so much aquatic life… fantastic experience well worth it !
To be honest I did not expect what I saw on my visit to this park during this period of time. People are enjoying their selfies, picnic everywhere though they obeyed the pandemic distances. The only problem that I have is that my family will not like to travel just to enjoy the park and its views. If you live within the park, you are blessed. Enjoy your park.
I'm in a wheelchair. We went to see the Rolling Stones. From the moment we were collected from the station by the accessibility team to when we left, we were looked after. The accessible area is close to the toilets, bar and food kioks. There was always someone around to help if we needed it. Brilliant service and an amazing show. Thank you.
Best track/gyms I’ve been to
I really enjoyed this gym when I lived opposite the park at Chelsea Bridge Wharf. The refit they had done a little while ago was successful and a better use of space. I found the staff helpful and friendly. I would recommend. 👍🏽✅
Easy to book tennis court and really nice park !
Great place, good variety of equipment, the race track is excellent and the staff always pleasant...the best thing are the classes and a big shout-out to Zola who is a first class instructor: clear, encouraging yet still pushes the group, great work!
Seeing a lot of people complaining about the staff... Only had positive experiences with them. Always welcoming and they seem to remember all conversations we have, asking me how things are going, especially the two young gentlemen at reception. Facilities are great and affordable and the scenery is lovely.
Basic gym equipment but it does the job. The gym is almost always empty which feels that you have everything for yourself!
Good place to run on a track with reasonable opening hours whether you wish yo train early in the morning or later in the evening. There is also a gym located in the main building. There are bike parking rails outside the track, however non folding bikes are not allowed in the track area. Make sure that you have a track session booked on the track in advance because on some days particularly in spring/ summer there are events happening and you may not be allowed to enter.
Prices to book courts are a bit expensive although membership price it isn’t. Sometimes is a bit struggling to get them on the phone to change your booking. But apart from that is a great place play tennis and see people playing as well
What an amazing running track in the centre of Battersea Park It is wonderful to see facilities like this where aspiring talent can come practice their craft
Millennium Arena to me, it is a complex sport building/place to train if you like running track, playing tennis and gym; they were all standard. In the gym changing rooms is Sauna. The staff on duty are very polite and friendly. The toilet is very clean. I have decided to take a membership as there are defferent type of members.
Went for a track session on tuesday morning. No need to book, you just show up and pay and use the track. You have access to all the commodities and also have a coffee shop if you want. Only downside, the session is quite expensive if you come every week so definitely recommend to take the membership.
Nice facilities, but equipment is desperate need of an upgrade!! All quite old and a bit run down. Also better lay out of weights would be helpful. All in all fine for what you pay but nothing outstanding.
The flavors were incredible.
We play netball here with GoMammoth and the courts are brilliant. Lovely grippy outdoor courts suitable even for rain and cold! The loos are very grim, every time I’ve been there’s always water all over the floor and toilets seem like they aren’t cleaned regularly. The receptionists are also quite rude. They speak to us quite accusingly when we walk through.
Plays regularly here during weekday, price is cheap for Padel compare to others during off peak hours. BUT, wish they have proper floor, they use like plastic which several people have commented here as having poor bounce. You will have lots dead spot for bounce. You have to find a spot for good serve. After raining, the floor will be slippery. I fell once and you can’t really make comfortable runs around the court when its slippery. Wish they just use the floor from the old tennis courts. The wall also is poor shape, the picture tells you its out of its alignment. Overall, you have no choice to keep coming back here just for the price, otherwise we wont come back because of the poor conditions.
Very bad reservation site. Became a member and find it difficult to book tennis.
Agree with others, receptionists aren’t very helpful at all, had to follow up so many times to try and freeze/unfreeze my membership. I enjoy the sauna, the gym is pretty small but has most the equipment you need
- Good tennis courts but the prices have become ridiculous used to be £11/hr in 2022 and now its £15/hr with a £70 membership. - Super energy inefficient: floodlights blaring in broad daylight #energycrisis - Booking system is very old and you have to call through to a receptionist that never picks up in order to rebook
Nice staff behind the desk, however easily the worst Padel court I’ve ever played on. Artificial floor which means the ball doesn’t bounce at all, ruins serves, holes in the nets. Big avoid
The woman at the desk had bad customer service . Sat down on the chair was lower than the counter. Didn’t really acknowledge me as a customer. Booked me in didn’t tell me the price , just handed me the credit card reader. Not asking if it was cash or card. Was more focused on what she was doing than making me feel welcome no eye contact or a smile didn’t Evan ask if I wanted a reciept. The customer service at the Millenium arena with certain staff has to be better than this.
The padel courts appear to be in rather poor condition, with a cover that is not ideal. The surface seems to be made of plastic and does not provide a good bounce. Furthermore, it does not perform well in wet conditions, although it does dry quickly, but remains slippery. The nets also appear to be of poor quality.
Horrible Padel court, ball doesn’t bounce properly, slippery, very poor lighting and leaves everywhere
Worst padel court if ever played in my life. Avoid.
Zero consideration for neighbours, shouting on megaphones and loud music constantly disrupting any rest for who lives nearby. Beyond any db limit but they don't mind and keep their rave type music and shouting. They seem to have no days off
Zero stars. Rude staff. Rarely answer the phone. And the constant loud microphone from the running track every single weekday during spring and summer drives the local residents crazy despite several attempts to ask them to turn the noise down.
Staff are rude and unhelpful. Arguing with me and then with a mother and her two kids because having both paid for annual track passes they fail to inform us before that this is nulled when people book out the track last minute. Does someone want to introduce them to basic contract law?
Th reception at Battersea Park Millennium never answers their phone. I have called at all hours and I get put on hold eternally. It is really inconvenient that if I need a change in my tennis booking or have a question I need to walk to the park and deal with reception in person. Shocking service for members.
Dreadful tennis courts, full of potholes and very weak floodlights. Can barely see the ball when playing in the evening, and they have the cheek to charge £15 per hour!
Really horrid experience of this place. The people who work there are rude, the facilities mediocre at best and extremely expensive. If looking to play tennis find a free court somewhere which doesn't involve having to contact these people!
Horrible experience playing Padel, the courts have a cheap plastic floor that is very slippery and dangerous, the court's net was broken, they werent able to fix it, and now they dont want to give us a refund, instead they are giving us credit to play again. Given the terrible plastic floor we dont want to play there ever again and they dont want to refund us the money. Also the sides are plastic instead of glass, they built them as cheap as possible. Also we had to play 30 minutes in complete darkness because nobody was turning on the lights. On top of that, they charge the same as other premium new courts, don't ever make a booking here to play Padel.
Receptionist incredibly rude old bitter man with nothing going for him. Padel courts are also very bad and barely bounce which defeats the entire point of padel. The gym, tennis and running track are very good but this one star review is entirely because of the useless receptionist
All tennis courts are monopolised by coaches and impossible to book even a month in advance. So you have to pay £80-90 to a coach to just play
great ambiance but disgusting bathroom and changing rooms. It’s not being cleaned on the weekends. You can barely find soap or toilet paper and the toilets are stinking. Staff is always grumpy and they look like they are going to hit you when you ask a question
Only positive is that they have a lot of tennis courts; but - Prices have gone up massively (+25% for the court booking fee and yearly membership is now £70 which basically only gives you access to early court bookings) - Although prices have gone up, nothing has been invested in refurbishing the courts. They are now extremely run down, the nets have massive holes in them and there’s pot holes everywhere - The booking system is from another century, does not have any rebooking functionality (in case you want to move a booking) and it does not allow for refunds when bookings have to be canceled (e.g. rainy conditions) but only credits - There seems to be staff there but no one picks up the phone which makes using credits virtually impossible (have to physically go there to use them)
Very dissapointed with customer service/receptionist here. I was calling more than 10 times to make a booking for the tennis court as I need to use my credit. Call is the only options or come by directly to the receptionist. Since no one is picking up the phone I decided to stop by directly. I called just in front of the receptionist just to see if the phone is working and to test if receptionists were busy on something else. Quite shock finding the truth, they just simply ignore the call!! This is totally unprofessional. I was angry at the receptionist and complain directly but I figured I need to let the manager/management know about this. Hopefully they read this and genuinely address this isue. This can be mitigated by simply automized online booking for using the credit but after all the service quality of the customer service need to be addressed! I really hope they can take a small action to continuosly improve the service. Thanks!
I live across the park and this place is making me want to move. They are so noisy with CONSTANT loud screams and using loud microphones to scream. It used to only be on Saturday mornings but now it’s literally non stop. Why does it have to be this loud ????
Very rude receptionist. She just walked around, putting posters, while I was waiting to make payment. Then she had a quick chat with her colleague and finally rolled her eyes at me, did not say anything. Awful experience. Been going there for more than a year. This is the first time I’m dealing with such incompetence and lack of human decency.
So I came i paid 6 pounds for using the running track earlier today, and came by the evening to ask if I could use the gym and get a discount. I met this average height white man receptionist who was extremely rude, first he asks me to prove that I’ve been earlier JUST to tell me that they do not do discounts. I was like okay I asked if I could see the gym but he said he couldn’t and I had to wait 5-10 minutes for his colleague to finish his break. I came back after 10 minutes and no apology, nothing and I felt this guy did a terrible job. As a tourist I could’ve been here for the next two weeks but instead I just used the outdoor gym instead. Amateur service and high prices
What the absolute hell are courts 6-10. absolutely atrocious quality. The builders seemingly stopped halfway. The lines are drawn in what seems like crayon. The cement marks shoes and balls immediately. To think you charge any money, let alone £15 per hour for that garbage is appalling. Oh yeah fix the saggy nets and don’t have coaches having their beginner lessons hitting 30 balls into my court every minute
Tennis courts are only for coaches. Although bought membership which is supposed to let me book 7 days in advance, never managed to book one. However, coaches always could book the designed court. What kind of trick are they playing? Don't mention the massive holes in the net and poor conditions of the court. Can't be worse!!! UPDATE: Now practicing serves by yourself are not allowed on the court. It is only allowed to be accompanied by a their licenced coach (90 quid per hour???). The only thing you can do on their court is rally with no more than 4 balls. If your kid dreams to be Rafael Nadal, it is the last place to fulfill your kid's dream. They care about MONEY only, no neighbourhood, no support! Would rather give ZERO star!
Toilets in main reception are per a toy blocked and never seem to be fixed. It’s on the track that is the issue. Last few weeks hydrox gym groups have been using the track and completely disregard track ettequite, and not managed by centre staff. Angry words have been exchanged between regular track users and these groups, and it won’t be long before the situation escalates. It’s not hard to warm up in outer lanes and interrupt other peoples sessions. At the fees they charge to use to use the track, it’s not unreasonable for staff to manage the situation and make sure everyone is using the track in the proper manner
