El Torito - Hawthorne

Decided to spend a nice Juneteenth day with folks at El Torito's and it turned out to be a good decision 👍🏾🥘. I enjoyed the Sour Cream Chicken Enchiladas very very much😄 soooo tasty and the 🍉 margarita was the perfect drink to finish it off with, customer service/waiters extremely courteous.

30 mins before lunch during brunch. They accommodate us on a table to wait until they started serving lunch, and the lady that was helping us in the meantime was awesome, and apologized for the inconvenience but let us order some awesome drinks and kept checking on us until we were able to order our delicious meal. We loved it.

Food was really good. Service was exceptional. Alexandra and Armando were great servers in the bar area. Highly recommend. And definitely going back.

Went today to celebrate my husband and myself 26th wedding anniversary and we have a very nice time our server Pablo the restaurant manager Naila where so nice kind and very friendly the food so good overall great experience thank you el Torito Inglewood we will come back !!🙏👍🥰

RAFA AND IVAN....the best, excellent service. We will definitely be back and I will definitely recommend to everyone. They went above and beyond! They made me feel not only like a customer but like family.

Dine In El torito today my server Jose v was very excellent he was on top of everything the drinks were on point the manager Justin came by and was telling us about the brunch buffet I think that was the set up in the restaurant Jose ask us if we wanted dessert Deep fried ice cream is the best I recommend this place. 10/10

Had a great Sunday brunch at El Torito — the all-you-can-eat spread was fresh, well-stocked, and hit all the classics. Bottomless mimosas were on point, and our server Ivan was attentive, friendly, and kept everything flowing. Solid spot for a relaxed, satisfying brunch. Would 1000% recommend!!!

Visited here today for a small family luncheon. Our server, Eduardo, was very attentive and kind. He paid attention to our orders, always asked if we needed anything else, and was quick to retrieve whatever we needed, i.e., extra napkins, more silverware, drinks etc. Our food came out hot and timely. We didn't wait very long at all. It was early in the day, around 1ish so that good. The restaurant was clean, table and menus were clean and I must say the women's bathroom was exceptionally clean! It was a nice visit.

Jose is a one man’s army with weight in the tables busting the tables making a drink and making sure everything is nice and checking on his tables. Go ahead Jose love it. Fabulous food was good. Drinks was good. He’s a bartender as well. Thanks very much JC the manager awesome., my table was not set up and Jose sent my table up as well and he was very busy with other customers

I just want to say OMG!! The food was so exceptional!! I couldn't stop eating it from my first bite! Enough food to share, and leftovers for the next day for both of us. We are from Florida, and we're here on vacation for the Steelers-chargers game on Sunday, November 9th 2025. This restaurant is a 5☆ Florida has no clue!! Lol. If ever I'm back here in LA and in the area, I know what im having for dinner!! I am stuffed, but can't stop drooling over this food!! Awesome job guys!!!

CHRISTOPHER was an absolutely great waiter! Really really was great on it for everything, made sure we were satisfied in every way ! Great with the kids and real patient! Service was quick meal was solid!

We came for the Sunday brunch buffet and can I say the service was awesome! Staring from the manager Daisy, our server Cynthia who was so sweet and attentive, to every worker at the food station who was all smiles. The establishment was clean at all times. We came in a party of 8 adults teens and kids. It felt like family after a while 😂. I enjoyed this experience and will definitely be back!!!

Our waiter Christopher was absolutely the best. Very attentive and welcoming, great experience overall. Definitely coming back.

I come to this location often, and the service is always outstanding! I came in today and just wanted to give a special shout-out to Gilda and the manager, JC, for going above and beyond for me and the rest of the customers. Truly appreciate their exceptional service!

So friendly. And fast! Chips and salsa were on point. Bomb queso fundido con chorizo. Great birria tacos. Perhaps the best “home made” flan I have ever had. Fire!

Love El Torito, first time at this one 😍needs some updating but the atmosphere was cozy and homey. Not too crowded, just right.

Food was great but the server never refilled our drinks so we had to ask. Salsa was flavorful but they only brought 1 basket of chips for 4 people

There is hair literally EVERYWHERE!!!! Ugh, there was hair in the freshly made omelet, not once but TWICE!! SO FREAKING FRUSTRATING at this point I dont even want anything else to eat or drink from this place. As this is an eating establishment ALL employees should be wearing hairnets!!! This is ridiculous and disappointing

Went here with the bf to have dinner. Best was the environment. Low was food delivery and food taste. Front of the house staff young gentleman man was on a roll tho!! Awesome service for some not so great for others. I would only come back for drinks 🤪

It kinda seem like the crew is used to handling a crowd. Even though not a crowd when I was there. Still with a good amount of people the crew works efficiently. Good food with a nice size portion and welcoming staff. Nice place to take a spouse, a friend or a date.

The guacamole was made tableside and it was delicious. We also enjoyed the carne Asada burrito, but the chicken fajita was not very tasty The old server seemed knowledgeable and competent. The decor was very outdated.

El Torito is a nice place and close to our hotel. They make good margaritas, and chips and salsa was good. The street tacos were made with a good amount of meat. The rice and beans were great.

My experience at El Torito restaurant in Hawthorn was a mix of highs and lows, earning it a three-star rating from me. Let's start with the positives: the food was undeniably good and served in generous portions. I opted for the Mexican Caesar with salmon, and while it was delicious, I felt the salmon could have used a bit more seasoning to truly elevate the dish. However, the atmosphere left much to be desired. The main dining room felt dark, cold, and gloomy, with tables randomly scattered and insufficient seating. Even when seated, the tables and booths were uncomfortably small, especially for a party of four. Plus, the plates were huge, which only added to the cramped feeling. One of my pet peeves is receiving a salad that hasn't been properly dressed, and unfortunately, this was the case here. The salad arrived with the dressing on the side, requiring me to dress it myself at the table, which detracted from the dining experience. Lastly, the restaurant could benefit from a thorough cleaning, particularly around the windows and tables. A little extra attention to cleanliness would go a long way in improving the overall ambiance. In summary, while El Torito served up tasty food, the atmosphere and dining experience fell short of expectations. With some improvements in seating arrangements, seasoning, salad preparation, and cleanliness, it could easily earn a higher rating in the future.

Came in on a Friday evening for happy hour. Luckily the place had many available tables, and the cantina area was empty. Pros: Plenty of space, quick service, not busy, you get what you pay for, affordable prices and fair quantities to the buck. Had happy hour carne asada fries, margaritas and flautas. The highlight was the Jalapeño cucumber margarita and the flautas. The flautas were flavorful and on the soft side tortilla.

The food was good but the service was just okay. We had a little mix-up with our order. The dessert looks good but was not what we expected

At first, it seemed like a very nice restaurant. Waiter was friendly but not knowledgeable on menu, loved that free guacamole was made fresh at table. But taste wasn’t great. A little salty and had a weird after taste. Food came out, nice presentation, but taste was not there. Chicken was dry, meat seemed rubbery and got to say, enchilada was amazing on that combo. The chicken taquitos were soggy. The sauce it came with was not vining. Once check arrived, we noticed beer was 7.50 each 🫢. Also they charge a surcharge for high cost of minimum wage for employees. 🤷🏻‍♀️. Not happy at all with our first time experience. Will not be coming again.

Buffet is really good, but the service not, we had to asked many times for a cup of water. The waitress bring something we didn't order. But at least the food was good.

We did the taco Tuesday taco bar. They were great. Service was so slow for everything else. Also, they had a DJ. Way too loud. It was like eating tacos at the club. Fun music, just turn it down.

This was not a good happy hour experience, the staff was friendly and attentive which was nice. Now for food both my friend and I ordered 3 tacos each 3 steak and 3 chicken at $2.99 each. The plates were small so all the food on your plate it wasn't enough room, and they didn't offer another plate. My chicken tacos was empty cause I don't like a lot of stuff so I got chicken and cheese (parmesan). The chicken was a little spicy too not happy. The meats (steak & chicken) were too oily.. They did have corn cake if was ok a little too paste like. We also ordered 2 $6 margaritas Mango and Blackberry they tasted like cheap tequila and water. My friend ended up in the bathroom before we left.

I had to correct something I had them to remake it same thing we will never eat there ever in life again unsatisfied customer & most definitely they either need some new chefs 👨‍🍳 are change the way they cook add seasoning on it I'm not trying down grade them but the truth needed to be told & the manager he is sad he should have really gave a big discount i can see had he knocked off 50% manager know that GOD SEE AND HEAR EVERYTHING. 11/10/25

I wanted to like this location badly. Unfortunately it did not appear very clean at all. I found a foreign object in my tea. The glasses looked very old and dirty. The food was also cold. I think this location needs new management. I'm not going there again any time soon and I'm not going to recommend this place. The foreign object is in my attached photos. Even the sugar packets were dirty. The item is hanging off the side of the glass.

Just a bad area for Happy hour, all food was over done or burnt, drinks were best part of dinner cheese dip over cooked my pizza burnt up visible on crust. Server was having a bad evening. Even after buying guacamole no basket of chip's for time guacamole dip came . Corn had way too much lemon squeezed in it

We sat here 30 minutes and nobody talked to us or asked us what we wanted or anything. The only reason they took our order is because we had to ask someone passing by who just so happened to be the manager. The manager explained we never got a waiter because he was too busy to help us. Meanwhile the manager, Juancarlos, explains that he was very busy as well, so our 30 minute wait just to get water and salsa, unfortunately, comes at the customers expense. Words from his own mouth. The restaurant was not even packed.

Just went by for drinks and tacos. When we got our saucer and chips. There was one gray hair in my saucer. They was nice to get me another one. But it made me feel some kind of way I don’t think I’ll be coming back. After the fact. I call the restaurant to speak to someone about the matter like the owner mentioned and no service was provided. They put on hold so long I hung up. As I figure no customer service trying to make a situation right. I wouldn’t have call back or even go back if the reply back wouldn’t have told me to reach out. It’s all for show. They don’t care. Don’t go here and eat hairs.
