Do not let the look of the place discourage you to order. Their wings and giros are the best I have had in my life. 10 times better than Kentucky and Chick-fil-A! They also serve desert like cheesecake and brownies!

GOOD FOOD LOVE THE TENDERS, best place to come when I visit Evansville. Love the customer service and always the same dude working at the back cooking the food gives me the best laughs I can have and note that he always cooks fresh. Food is very good for their prices I got the 3 tenders with fries and it’s juicy and amazing love to come visit best in the town!!!

Perfectly clean catfish. Everything is always crispy and hot. Breading has flavor and also seems to have a light dusting of seasonings after frying, the fries too! No tendons or other odd pieces in their chicken tenders. Wonderful front end service and large faygo selection. The only thing some might not like is the slice of sandwich bread that comes with meals but it doesn't bother me. Normal where I come from!

Great food if your looking for fried fish and chicken in Evansville. Great location. Small parking lot so be careful. A bit pricey but they have lunch specials and stay open pretty late. My favorite is the fried whiting jack!

Oh my gawd! My wife's co-worker told us about Journey and said to start with the chicken because once you have the fish you'll always get the fish. Well, my son and I got the chicken tenders and my wife got the catfish fillets. It might like look like much, everything is the same color, but it was exceptional! The only complaint was that everything was a little soggy from being in the container on the ride home. The tenders were top notch. The catfish was very good and the breading was delicious. The fries took the cake. They kind of tasted like they were made of cake batter, lol. I didn't need ketchup for them. Then to finish it off was a plain piece of wheat bread, that tasted like no other wheat bread that we've had before.

I really liked the wings, they are a full whole wing. Like you get to rip it apart and just enjoy every piece of it, how can you not like that? The fish was both good and bad. And I’ll say this the catfish was amazing, it always is they just do a great job the other fish the white fish I believe is what it was was not as good but that was just a personal preference. If the fish is what you like and I say go for it, personally I just did not like it as much as I did the catfish. Which I will say it’s not their fault it’s just my taste. Besides were great food just good.

I'm really glad I discovered this place! The food was delicious! I had their Philly cheese steak with fries. The sandwich was cooked well and had a nice seasoning. The fries were properly cooked and had great seasoning as well. The service was very friendly! I'll definitely be coming back to try their other items!

This place is great. It's like stepping into Southside Chicago, but without the bulletproof glass. If you've ever been to a Harold's Chicken, JJ's Seafood, or any other nondescript storefront restaurant on the Southside, it's like all 3 of those rolled into one. We had chicken wings and catfish nuggets which were both delicious, as were the fries and slaw. It's also a great value for the money.

This place is so good. One of the most comfortable meals I've had . The service is polite . The food comes out HOT. I had special recommendations for my food and it came out perfectly . Feels more authentic than most places . Only one star off because the outside presentation of the actual building needs a little work . Whether it's flowers or something as simple as a better sign . I understand that some of the design adds to the charm though (:.just a friendly suggestion , I just want this place to stay open !

The food in of itself is great. I think it's the same family that runs the rockport location. It's a good size menu with all the basics and some not so common. Which is great. It's a cozy spot would be a nice date night. The only thing I didn't like from this last visit was the salsa soup that was salsa. Could just be an off day for that as I've had it before and it was the norm for this area.

If you want to support a local family owned and operated restaurant, this would be the place. They have weekend specials where they serve more authentic Mexican dishes. Prices are reasonable and portion size is fair. Their homemade salsa has fresh cilantro, and I would recommend the tinga chicken (although it may be a little salty for some). I would say this restaurant gives off very casual vibes.

Got 2 of the pick own chicken and fish combo thing- So altogether we had jumbo & med shrimps, catfish nuggets, chicken tenders and fries. All of it was pretty good, the fries were a bit underdone with some way soggy or others still 'mushy hard' like. I did really enjoy the catfish & shrimp best though! The seasonings & batter (?) used is YUMM. Lastly, it's a bit pricey I think.

One of the best gyros I've had. The only think was I would have liked cucumber chunks in the sauce. Still delicious. I had chicken gizzards fries, fried mushrooms and dessert. Gizzards were good. Nice and crunchy. Fries were decent but not crunchy. I was not a big fan of the spice mix they put on all the fried stuff. It was good but it was too much for me but I'm sure others would love it. I had strawberry shortcake which was good and a frozen strawberry lemonade that was good to

Decent Mexican place, the staff were friendly and quick to process orders. Price was reasonable. The chimichanga tasted delicious but the desert empanadas were not very fresh.

I found their chicken tenders to be really good and for the price too. The breading was decent (had some flavor), they weren't too greasy, and they didn't have those hard crispy ends where there's no meat. I think those who eat a lot of tenders understand what I'm saying. If you love tenders, I think you would like these. So, my partner got the fish and wings. I'm not a huge fish fan, and it did smelly a lil fishy. The breading on it wasn't bad. We probably could have shared his combo, so for the price you do get a good portion size. The service was excellent. There are a lot more options on the menu that look interesting. I will be visiting again and it is worth a try.

They lady who took my take out order was very friendly and helpful! Prices weren't bad. But the food itself was very blah and bland unfortunately. This was my 2nd time here & the 1st visit (long ago) I can recall thinking the same of the food then. That'll be the last for me :-/

Not my kind off Mexican restaurant but to each it’s own. Service could have been better since my was a call a head and still end up waiting 20 minutes after getting there. The chicken quesadilla surely shock me because it only had one tortilla and shredded chicken meat in the middle. You could barely taste cheese and it didn’t come with any dipping sauces. In to sum it up their Beef nachos was trash and couldn’t taste the cheese in that one either. I would not return or send business here sorry but no. Price was decent though.

Ordered catfish and shrimp for door dash to deliver. The catfish had a lot of breading and not much fish. They sent no starter or cocktail sauce. Fries were soggy and undercooked. First time and last time

Got crispy Philly cheesesteak no mayo...they basically gave me a pizza pocket. Barely any meat, looked Nothing like the picture. There were no peppers or onion or anything just barely meat and cheese fried in a shell. Fries were very good.

This was horrible !!! I ordered a 10 piece party pack ,which is drums and wings .They advertise the first picture but I got the second . Literally the chicken was the size of half my thumb , it was breaded as if it was Tyson chicken heated up and it also tasted like Tyson chicken which is not good!! I paid $16 for this with no drink ! I asked for half barbecue half buffalo and I literally saw the man squeeze the sauce over the chicken and close the lid and gave it to me .! I wouldn’t go here for chicken if that’s what they serve as “party wings” for $16.96 🤷🏽‍♀️

I can’t even give a this place one star.Orderedtwo beef hard shell tacos, got two soggy chicken somethings. The rice was dry and cold with no seasoning or taste. the beans were ok, only because they come out of a can. The previous owners served delicious food, this is so gross, I’m asking them if they want to eat it.the cheese sauce is runny like milk. If you want to waste your money , go to this place. They laugh at Americans, they didn’t realize I speakSpanish. Will never go back.

I've been here a few times the food was okay except for today I got a big disappointment with the pineapple empanadas they had mildew or mold growing inside don't think I will return I tried to download the picture but it's not letting me

The food was good, but I cannot return. I wanted to wash my hands before eating & went to the women's restroom - No soap. So, since there were very few people in the restaurant, I tried the men's - No soap. The server looked around for about 5 minutes for a soap dispenser & could not find one, so they had me go into the kitchen to wash my hands & then they had to find paper towels for me to use. So, the staff are not washing their hands with soap after they go to the bathroom?!?!?! The restaurant is just run down & needs a good update & clean. There were only 4 tables in the restaurant while we were there & there were dishes piled up in the corner, as well as on another table. Definitely won't be back.
