Out of all the McDonald's I've been to in the bay area I would definitely say this one is top 3. Always clean, bathrooms have easy access unlike most who require a code now and they have a computer with games at some of the tables. The staff seems genuinely happier as well and the food is served even faster than what I'm used to.

They very rarely run out of ice cream which seems to happen everywhere at McDonald's lol their food is always fresh and hot and the line moves relatively quickly considering how many people are in the line. I haven't had any issues with missed orders since I've ordered here so far.

McDonalds just renovated. Looks very nice and clean. Service was extremely fast

It's super nice since they re did everything. The best one ive honestly seen. And now they have some tables that have a big tablet screen thing for kids to play different games and they are free! Not like some restaurants where they have the tablets but charge to play. I like it much better without the playground outside too more better parking!

My first time here, we stopped by to get breakfast on the way back home. The place was clean and pretty busy for a Sunday morning. Service was fast. I thought it was pretty cool that they had a little kids table where they can play with a tablet while they eat or keep them busy while the parents eat. I felt kind of old thinking about when I was younger and they had the PlayPlace or playground you can play in. What happened to kids being active instead of being glued to an electronic device? Lol Overall, a great experience. Food was fresh and piping hot.

This McDonald's is one of Hercules best kept secrets. It's not just a restaurant it's a cornerstone of the community if you well. I love this place .

I've always gone here using the drive through. Watch out for the tree. The clearance says nine feet but the tree is trimmed at seven feet. Scratched the side of my van but it's not their fault. Seems that the shopping center takes care of it.

They have remodeled. The place is very stylish and clean now. My only complaint is if you order inside they are a little slow.

Good but girl at register did not cover her nose with the face mask staff manager need to have a meeting regarding stopping the spread of this virus and prevention.

Service was great...food was not so great. IDK how you burn Filet-o-Fish sandwiches but BOTH mine were. Chicken nuggets were cold and french fries were old.

Depends on who's working that day, but service is overall great. Play structure is outside and exposed to the elements so wouldn't recommend it. Drive thru experience varies if it's busy or not. Used to have issues with getting the correct order given to me, seems to have cleared up after time.

Modern McDonald’s, recently remodeled to the modern version. Clean, efficient, quick. The food is OK, but great when you need a solid lunch at a reasonable price quickly.

Out of all the McDonalds restaurants in the area, I like this one the best. It's routinely busy fit a reason: the food made is regularly made when you order it. On top of the hot food, the staff is polite and helpful and the restaurant is usually clean. Overall, I would recommend this place to anyone that wants fast, hot food.

In my little opinion about McDonald's, I believe, has made my trip to them, a very easy and stress free visit. All thanks to the app, I can now order from home or at a friend's place and within the next drive to the nearest or whichever restaurant is the personal choice, my meal will be ready for pick up as soon as you enter and use the line designated for paid picked up to go meals. Only bad part about McDonald's, for a multi million dollar business, they should atlways at every store have some type of giveaway contest to their customers. Just a thought.

Realizing that this location was significantly remodeled or totally renovated, since my last visit several years ago, it looks great, with the latest animated ordering menu at the drive-thru. Other than that, everything's typically McDonald's, with a friendly staff, along with their good variety of food items.

Renovated and honestly they give good service,if you're expecting five star dining from a McDonald's then you need to dine somewhere else 😂. No complaints it's a good fix when I need it/ have had enough of cooking at home during this pandemic

I would actually give this location an easy 5-Stars for Atmosphere, since they've really spiffed up the place & it looks very nice. The decor is modern & neat. But I only dropped a Star, because the eating area was kind of freezing cold. And it wasn't just whenever someone opened one of the set of doors to enter. The food is yum-yum as typical of any Mickey Ds, but I dropped a Star for the fries being cold so quickly. (Honestly, ever since they changed the types of oils they cook the fries in to make them healthier, they've kinda sucked. If you don't eat them right when you get them, they no longer stay tasty once cold or reheated. Not like back in the day when they seemed to stay hot & tasty longer.) I know you can ask to wait for hot fries or probably exchange them if what you get is already cold, but sometimes I'm too passive of a customer & not good about standing up for better quality. Plus, I was already so hungry, I didn't want to have to wait for the next batch anyway so that's on me. I just wish fries were the last thing put in any orders to ensure they're always hot. Anyway, these redesigned locations really look good, and remind me more now of the nice ones I'd seen in Canada years ago. I thought I'd miss the old school red & yellow plastic, but the redesigns are very aestheticly pleasing.

Good Service but to many school kids blocking the main entrance and cursing in front of many young kids. Please do something about the many kids entrant of the entrance! I do not want my 4yr old learning curse words!

Price is a little higher than other McDonald's in the same area. Services is good dinn in or drive true.

The fries are always cold and don't have enough salt. And whose idea was it to get rid of Hi-C orange!?! Everything else is cookie cutter McDonald's, just a bit on the cold side.

Now that they put two drive thrus, sometimes the person on the other end is not capable of moving fast enough or not answering the steak box. I have to say Hello, Hello.

Mc Donald's to me, has undergone a new look and the front line where orders normally takes place has now added a self check-out with a partial table service of bringing up the meal that you ordered. Where a kids play place once welcomed little ones to gather, now stands an expanded restaurant with new dinning tables. It's a change getting used to. Also on some tables, are tablet like touch screen to entertain all ages interested in running time down while waiting for their meal to arrive.

McDonald's has consistent taste and simple menu that rarely changes. Taste is decent and chicken nuggets are pretty good. They need to give more dipping sauce though.

I ordered a hot chocolate, but instead they gave me milk! When I wanted to order a 2 for 5, the girl cashier keeps ignoring me because I was a kid. I stood there for like 3 minutes until a guy finally took my order. I thought the girl cashier was very rude.

It's a McDonalds. The playplace is decent, and my daughter seems to enjoy it. However if you ask for a diet coke they only seem to get it right about 2/3rds of the time for some reason. Take a sip before you drive off if you're in the drive through because the line can get slow and you won't want to drive back around because if you're like me and other McDonald's customers you're lazy. They will hand you the straw last a lot of times so I'll just suck the soda through the top of he lid where the straw goes to confirm no sugar without holding up the line. Make sure the lid is on reasonably well though, this maneuver is not for amateurs. You've been warned.

I go by this Macdonald twice a week cuz I live near by. My favorite is the Quarter Pounder;. The bun is always stale when I do go there Abt midnight. Please check the date n give it to the birds if no good

I ordered a 20-pc original chicken nuggets "made to order" to guarantee freshness. But my luck.. I was on my 9pc, and it tasted like some sort chemical, not soap. I quickly spitted out and stopped eating them as i no longer felt comfortable, but the left side of my tongue started feeling numb, so I proceeded to drink my lrg coke completely. 1hr later, when I reached my drive destination, my tongue still felt weird, so I drank 2 glasses of milk and called the restaurant manager(Jonathan),who deeply apologized and said to save the rest of my order and to bring it for a full refund. I told him that if he could try to find out what went wrong , he said it was a new girl (employee) and who knows what she did. I really need to stay away from fast food whenever possible.

Yesterday I got a coffee with my meal. I especially love the McCafe brand. The cup I received seemed to be a week old. Super strong, bottom of the barrell-yuck!!

Repeated my order twice to the young cashier and when I received it one burger missing, one wrong burger and cold fries. Took fifteen minutes to get the missing burger never fixed the rest. Asked to speak to a manager waited another fifteen minutes then gave up and left

Ordered Hotcakes and Sausage and Sausage McGriddle with egg. What I got was cold Hotcakes and no Sausage and no syrup! I did get the McGriddle but with no egg! Check your order before you leave. Overpriced for sure!

Workers are kind of rude. Every time they always have a smart remark. I normally ask for no salt on my fries. I must have forgot because when I got to the next window n confirmed no salt on my fries. He was like no you didn't say no salt but ok real rudely. Instead of saying oh I'm sorry we missed that, but let's us get that for you, it will be just a min. He was very rude about it! His facial expressions said it all n showed he was upset about it. I only live like 5-7 mins away. The fries were not even fresh n hot. My grandkids said they are not even hot. Thumbs down👎

They went with a modern look the inside has the most ridiculous kiosks 5 feet from the registers where you can order without the employee taking the order. Problem is they need an employee to help with the kiosks 😂😂😂. There was an employee who kept circling around the tables staring at everyone but doing nothing except make people feel uncomfortable. Tables were dirty floor had stuff on it he could have been sweeping and wiping the tables and making a lot less awkward eye contact. I felt like I was eating in a prison between the emptyness of the new look and the dude staring. Not going in ever again.

Every time I go through the drive through and order something custom, it comes out wrong. If I say no lettuce and no mayo, I still get both on my sandwich. Feels as if they don't listen. This was the first time that the Manager fixed my order and gave an apology and apple pie for my inconvenience.

The food is always cold. I enjoy McDonald's once in awhile. I've been very disappointed. The food items are barely warm. As a retired culinary instructor, this is actually a food safety violation. This is a management issue that this is a management issue or a servsafe issue that needs to be visited one more time. They need to serve hot foods hot and cold foods cold. This Hercules Branch can do much better.

They just received a remodel of their store but I feel the quality has greatly decreased. The food is cold and never modified correctly, there is no customer service of the cashier or window expo at all, if your order is over 3 or 4 meals expect to be asked to park so they can move the line along and you get to wait an extra 10 minutes for your order. Still cold food mind you... oh and we never go inside because this location does not have a changing table available in the restroom, we asked for one before the remodel. They took out the play area and added self service order stations.

You order no lettuce they give you extra lettuce. There was no point adding two consoles for the drive thru when only one person is working both intercoms.

While it's no excuse for patrons to litter, it is also no excuse for McDonald's staff to not clean for their customers. We sat for 30 minutes and watched staff ignore it completely. Would you eat here???

14 minutes from the time stamp on my receipt until the food was handed to me. Not exactly "Fast". At 10 minutes I asked to speak to a manager. After showing him my receipt, he walked over to the grill area and casually said over his shoulder "it'll be a minute". When I asked "Is that your official response?" he stared at me with a blank expressionless look on his face in excess of 30 seconds as if he was patiently waiting for me to give him further instructions? In addition to all if that, today I have what I would consider to be food poisoning symptoms. McDonald's was the only meal I ate yesterday that the rest of my family did not. No one else in my house is sick. Just saying. I live in this town. Its a bedroom community with few grab on-the-go choices. So I have had many occasions to visit this McDonald's. From my point of view, they have had a long list of staff issues. Even from that bleak record they have gone tragically downhill. More than once I have made a mental note to avoid it in the future. Store was closed at 6pm even though their hours of operation is until 11pm. the drive thru was open with long line. Short staffed and pandemic has been their excuse for 3 friggin years. Terrible management and very incompetent employees.

They got 3 of our items in our order wrong AND forgot an item. It was nearly 1AM by the time we got back (across 2 towns) and they had the drive-thru coned off! so we couldn't even get our money back for the item they forgot let alone get the items fixed they messed up. It would take a lot of changes to convince us to visit this place again...

I wish I can put a zero star! . For how many times they messed up my orders. I ordered twice kids meal chicken nuggets they put pickles instead. I ordered soda they gave me tea. There’s one time they charge my card from the other people’s order. And last thing when you order the drive through they would ask you “anything else?” And you responded but they didn’t hear so you waited and they’d ask you again so you told them back and you heard them on the back were laughing, but in reality they’re the deaf one and incompetent. Staff refused to let three young black kids in because the kids would "make a mess". They let a family in with even younger kids of different ethnicity. They also proceeded to tell every African American patron that they could only get take out when other people were offered dine in. Racist policies, racist staff. Absolutely disgusting. Horrible I ordered a #2 with Chocolate milk. nothing on the display upon ordering told to go to the second window. When I get there I'm told the cost is $6.80 for my $5.00 meal. When I question them, I got the "Oh let me double check. He put my order in to the computer and said $6.02. I ask how much is the difference between with the drink and without the drink. He said the drink was $1.39. I asked what is the cost of the meal? $5.04 was his answer. Asked does the meal come with a drink. answer, "Oh yea it does but the Choc mild is an add on". Asked to talk to the manager, asked the manager, does the meal come with a drink, answer: yes Coffee only. Okay what if I want Choc Milk, answer: it's an additional $0.39 cents. I asked why is it that when I go to Oakland, I see the price on the screen upon ordering and the price is always consistent with what I see on the board and it is usually around $5.00 not $7.00. She said, "This is a different owner". I said the owner has just lost a customer. Every time I go here the price is different and usually I'm not charge almost $7.00 and I don't usually get a receipt. Check your pricing, ask for a receipt because they could be ripping you off!

Waited 20 minutes for a Doordash order and the expediter has an attitude, sat my bag on the counter with no communication nor order number on the bag. Then after completing another order tells me its my order sitting on the counter like I'm supposed to know. She called out previous orders SMH

I originally bought the crispy chicken deluxe sandwich at serramonte mall. It was so delicious, looked like the promo ads and tastes even better. Perfectly made, neat and full of veggies...just the way I like it! Bought the same meal in Hercules. So disappointed!!! Fries were not hot even after waiting longer than 15 min in line (after school let out). Chicken was not crispy nor juicy. Tomatoes, lettuce and sauce was all over the place. A big mess! U want it done right, ho to the McDs at serramonte mall. Period!

This franchise has gotten my order wrong every time I come here, for years now. This is a poorly run franchise and it shows with every visit. One would be better off ordering the opposite of what you want, because ultimately they will mess up your order and probably give you what you were after in the first place.

Ordered nuggets for my kid and apparently they cook everything in the same oil because they were spicy. Completely inedible for them.

The chicken sandwich I had was so dry it was very hard to eat it. So I have a friend that works there and I had to ask him because this is like 8th time this happened every time I order through the drive thru they always forget to give me something that I order and pay for and I have to check my bag every single time and I feel like it’s on purpose but anyways he said that some of the employees do that so they can get free food like take it home or eat it on lunch or whatever I was like are you serious I can’t believe they would actually do that I mean we pay for are food and your eating it I don’t get it shame on your employees that are doing this!!!!!!!!

I bought a vanilla ice coffee this morning. I took a sip and there was a seed of sort in the drink. This was disgusting. I have no idea where that seed has been and how it ended up in my drink. Very disappointed, especially now.

Arrived at 8:40 p.m. and attempted to use the bathroom at 8:45 p.m. but found myself in a restroom without toilet paper. Quickly alerted the manager who told me the place was closed despite it only being 8:46 p.m. by the time we talked. As new customers came in and she took their order, I asked again politely and was handed a stack of napkins. When I asked another employee and told him of the issue he too prioritized the drive-thru and just handed me a stack of napkins. When I finished it was 8:55 p.m. and they were still accepting inside the lobby orders SMH... You can draw your own conclusions. Worst service ever.

This is the store near my house. But let me tell you this, I won't get the food from McDonald's(especially this restaurant) unless I really really hungry and there is no other option. If i have to order the food from there, I must go there to order in person, no matter what I order, I will say "can you make my orders in fresh please"? Yes, the biggest problem for McDonald's is that most of them always have "cold food" for customer by the laziness of kitchen. Serious bad attitudes and constantly giving us wrong items. The last time I was there I ordered 2 McChickens. When we got home the 2 McChickens had bacon. I immediately called their store to complain because my son is allergic to pork and would have gotten an allergic reaction if he had taken a bite. The person I spoke to on the phone offered replacements but I never went back. I understand they may be understaffed but someone has to oversee their service.

They forgot part of my drive thru order, I didn't realize until I got all the way home. I called and they told me to drive back and they would give me my missing items. I asked if they would compensate for forgetting them and they said I drove off without my 2nd bag. I told them the person handed me the one bag and said have a nice day. The woman said well there was two bags and they would give me my two missing items. When I arrived I called I waited about 7 min, the person ran out tossed my bag in said sorry and I asked are you really not going to do anything about forgetting my items and making me drive all the way back? And they said they were sorry but there was nothing they could do... I worked in customer service for 12 years and let me tell you that is definitely NOT how you handle it and there was DEFINITELY something you could have done!

Ordered a peanut butter mcflurry. It was only on the top of the ice cream. Not mixed in. Not having availability of a strawberry shake for a sick person. Then ask for my money back. They gave me a vanilla shake instead.

Fries were so so and cheeseburger was barely warm. Bun was flat and stale feeling. It was lunch time so their was no excuse for it not being fresh. I guess it's actually a good thing because I generally don't eat fast food and the poor quality will prevent me from eating it in the future.

I been going to this McDonald’s in Hercules. They always making mistakes. If you try to contact the costomer service 50/50 if they going to respond to your email.

I’ve only been to this location a handful of times and EVERY SINGLE TIME they mess up my order. I end up ripped off and honestly pissed off. At first I was forgiving, but to consistently not get what I paid for is unacceptable. I don’t normally write reviews, especially negative ones but it’s worth saying something about this. Whatever system they have going on at this location needs to change. It seems to be the evening shift that’s the most unreliable. I occasionally go because it’s the closest one to me and they have the cheapest coffee, but I’ll be avoiding it from now on. Don’t waste your money.

How ridiculous can you get? 11pm with an hour to go they shut off their ice cream machine so you pretty much can’t get anything from their desert menu except pies. I’ve been here 3 times, all around 11pm due to driving home from work and each time has been the same “we aren’t serving ice cream the rest of the night, can I help you with anything else on the menu?” The answer is no. I went there for a pmilkshake, but I probably would’ve got other items to go with the shake, but they lost 3 purchases because They’re too lazy to clean their ice cream machine after they close

Absoloutely ABLEIST company. My mother is severely blind and does not drive so we walk over there and more often than not, the doors are LOCKED. Why? Because the staff won't clean up after the teens when they get out of school or kick them out when they're being an issue. Look, I get it, teens get messy and disruptive..but they're making it everyone else's problem because they can not do their job they get paid above minimum wage to do. The amount of times I have walked over there with, again, my DISABLED MOTHER only to be denied access is absurd. No, we cannot go through the drive through. So yes, this is ableist and there should be accommodations for pedestrians. Especially disabled pedestrians. Disgusting location. Will be complaining to McDonalds to get this franchise location a firm talking to.

The worst, slowest, and mist mismanaged McDonald’s in the area. The fountain drinks taste like they don’t clean the nozzle and it tastes like a little bit of every thing. The drive thru takes way too long on a good day. And try to sneak a .89¢ charge for a cup of water.

BEWARE me and my wife decided to go eat here and we normally go to this particular location frequently, however we will never be returning after this incident. We both ordered a Double QPC and went to eat at the subway, due to the dining room at this location being packed. I ate my burger and instantly started to feel ill my wife half way through her burger noticed the inside of the burger was Raw. I went to the restroom and began violently throwing up and felt sick for almost the rest of the day. We did go back to the restaurant and were issued a full refund. The manager was respectful and it seemed like this wasn’t the first time that he has had to deal with this . If you do order here check to make sure what you eat is fully cooked.

Don’t go to Hercules McDonald’s they’re awful. Disappointing all around. Used to go here for the drive thru often. A few times my kids orders were given to us wrong and I had to spend extra time going back to get the correct one but I was met with a rude service instead of saying it’s their mistake and they don’t mind fixing their mistakes. Yesterday we chose to eat inside, but the lobby was closed between 2-6pm because of this locations aggressive dislike towards students from nearby schools. Nowhere on their business page or listed hours does it say they close during that time, had it been posted anywhere except their glass doors we would have chosen not to stop there. My 5 year old needed to use the restroom (and we were ordering for lunch) but they said lobby is closed. Their response “there are other restaurants with bathrooms”. How they operate under a franchise name and still suck money out of customers without letting them use the dining room or restrooms is beyond me. Why work for a business or operate a business under a brand name if you want to turn away people and treat them horribly. This location is extremely rude and incompetent.

The only reason I gave food and service 2 stars is because it was quick. But when it says dining room is open until 9 o'clock. It's now 830 as a brightness. Because I'm writing this. Why was it close when it should be open? And the food didn't taste that great like it was undercooked even though the guys were pretty fast for the drive through. 30 min wait. There is a help wanted outside. I can see the issue there and the stress of not being able to hire. But the problem is they can properly make the food. If you can't make the food right. Then close up shop. When my sister order a burger with bacon and didn't get it. Or I order a big Mac and ask for mustard and didn't get it. That is something that they need to work on. And we order from the kiosk and they are just ignoring the people in line. Their focus was drive thru and Uber eats. This is all managerment and Corp shame here. Help get staff and help management train their employees better.
