Opinions de Little Fu's Hewlett
Very nice restaurant. Service is excellent. Very nice staff. Highly recommend.
I have always loved this restaurant. The food is always fresh, and the service is always impeccable.
Great place. Great vegetarian dishes, Great prices. Will be back for sure.
The menu here is extensive. They’ve been in business for a long time and the food is excellent. I can always count t on the owner stopping by my table to say hello.
Very good and consistent! Always enjoy the food
Always great combo for Chinese and Japanese dishes! Their lunch specials are a great deal !
We drove by and decided to check it out..Glad we did. Im funny about my sushi..It was excellent. My favorite spot for Sushi now!!
Great quality and food ordered for the first time tonight food came extremely quick fresh an just as I asked for it to be prepared very impressed found my new favorite will highly recommend an definitely re order.
A treasure in Hewlett. Great food and quite a large vegetarian menu selection. Chinese, Japanese and more including sushi so what ever your taste, they have it.
Love Little Fu's! I would recommend their almond cookies and vegetable fried rice. But overall great food in my opinion.
I like Little Fu's ! Real Chinese Food restaurant complete with tea and big fish tank! Sushi Too! Very yummy and good prices & portions
For a restaurant outside of one of the Chinatowns, it's very tasty, fresh, and affordable. Lot's of vegetarian and vegan options. Lots!
Old School Chinese Restaurant. A throwback. Very reasonable pricing. Service is top notch. The Sushi is good too. Great for lunch or dinner. Highly recommended.
Best asian restuarant on the planet!
Excellent Restaurant the portions are small if you ear in especially on combination platter. Service is excellent. This Restaurant gives me an old-school atmosphere LOVED IT.
One of my favorite places to get chinese food on Long Island! Little Fu's blends unique creations with traditional favorites, there will always be something for every member of your family. I highly recommend the vegetarian options, including my favorite the bean curd with black bean sauce. The tofu literally melts in your mouth!
I love this place. One of my colleagues introduced it to me 20 years ago and I am still going there and the food is good. It's right on peninsula Blvd. In Lawrence By Vally streams NY
Really tasty Chinese food! It is a bit pricey compared to others, but it is worthy! They even include teas with your food. Love the Lo Mein!
Always my favorite! Food is freshly made so it's worth the wait. Friendly staff- good place for a quick bite.
Food was so good try the pork dumplings they were the largest i have ever seen. Place has really gotten good.
Best chinese restaurant in 5 towns. It's a little pricey but worth the money. The staff are very kind & professional. You've tried the rest, now try the best!
Great Old fashioned chinese food meets modern sushi dishes. Every meal is nicely portioned and always delicious. Portions are generous. Staff is very friendly.
It is one of my favorite Chinese food restaurants in Long Island. The atmosphere is very cozy and the decor transports you to the Orient. The service is impeccable. The food is great but not necessarily the best Chinese cuisine. However it is worth the price of admission, especially on a cold winter night.
The food is above average here. The choices are vast, service is strong, vegetarian chicken with black bean sauce is one of the best I've ever had. Although I did not take a star, the place needs a update, Tables chairs and carpet need replacing. Looks tired. Still food is worth a visit.
The food was excellent. The little things they do, go a long way for me. I like that the delivery guy called me when he was a minute away and was there exactly when I went down. I like that I requested chicken soup even though it wasn't one of the lunch options, and they sent it. I like that they gave me hot mustard without me asking for it. Finally, the crunchy chips that came with the soup were excellent, as opposed to the generic ones that most Chinese places have.
Originally strangely named "U82Much", Little Fu's, (this gem of a sit down Chinese eatery) has remained consistent in their food quality for the entire quarter century I've been going here. Fu's has also been able to expand their menu with quality Japanese food that even the picky Nippon native ex-wife was able to enjoy. It's recommended to try the vegetarian menu options as they're far from the cardboard offerings doled out by the hipsters gentrifying Park Slope. Fu's vege-menu is so tasty, you'll never guess it's meatless. Highly recommended, and if you don't like your meal, I'll eat your leftovers once Omicron takes a vacation.
We ordered vegetarian option; wonton soup, general tso chicken, seichuan beef, eggplant, and house Lomein. The house lomein had lots of nuts in it which the kids didn't like, but everything was 10/10 otherwise. Will go again.
This was our first experience with Little Fu's. We were completely satisfied with their service (food was ready when promised), and the quality and flavor of all that we ordered. The Mo Shu Chicken, beef with broccoli, and the Lynbrook Roll were all excellent. I would give Little Fu's 5 STARS! I never gave any restaurant 5 STARS. This is the best Chinese food I've had... Since I used to go to China Town in the '70's.
Best food best service best i have eaten here for more than 10 years and i don’t think there is any better food around.
The food always is fresh and hot. I recommend the sesame chicken. Also if your vegetarian they have substitute meat that will make these newer "impossible" meats every chain is doing seem flavorless. And they've been doing it way longer at maybe 30 years plus
Great restaurant with a lot of variety. Food was delicious and service was impeccable. Will definitely be back here!
Great food, excellent service. Wonderful vegan options! They have the wide fried noodles. Nice to sit down and eat Chinese food, old school way.
Always so fast and reliable. Ordered two large dishes to my house and got it within 10 minutes! Great Beef and broccoli
Very nice portions and authentic Chinese food. A nice little nook in the neighborhood.
Through Ubereats, I ordered the black bean vegetarian chicken and it was DELICIOUS.
Cozy local spot with great Chinese and Japanese dishes. Friendly service and big portions. A bit pricey, but always tasty and satisfying.
Been buying here for years. Love the food one of the best Chinese in LI
Really good vegetarian selection HOWEVER THEY RECENTLY CHANGED THEIR GENERAL TSOS VEGGIE CHICKEN TO ANOTHER MEAT TYPE WHICH WAS A VERY BAD DECISION. They need to fix that then they can have my 5th star.
Old school Chinese restaurant that also serves Japanese food. Has a large vegetarian menu that includes "mock meat" choices that are very good.
Excellent choice for healthier selections. Great service and dinning accommodations. Spinach Pan fried wontons in garlic sauce is a great appetizer 😉
Great take out, even better sit-down dishes. Excellent sushi as well, with quick friendly service and fair prices for alot of food.
Good ole Chinese no frills...tasty...nothing over or under seasoned...Super broad crispy noodles for soup or just munching...not much left to take home...sign of a good meal!!!
An old school chinese restaurant. Food is always good and service is always good.
Reasonable prices fast delivery, tasty food. Everything I was looking for in a food delivery service. I would order there again.
Little Fu has become our “go to” place for good local Chinese/ Asian food. In addition to all the typical choices, they have an excellent vegetarian menu and a decent sushi bar.
Food is very good. Delivery fast, but they left out a few items. Check your order for accuracy.
My hubby & l go frequently. The service is good & timely. The food is fresh & tasty. We especially like their lunch specials, you won't leave hungry. Haven't had an order l didn't like yet. Love the Sushi too. My favorite soup on the menu is the hot & sour & wonton eggdrop....
Good vegetarian Chinese place. I wish they had different rice (sushi rice, Jasmine rice, etc.) And larger selection of desserts but otherwise the staff is very friendly, they keep their restrooms clean, and their parrot fish are adorable when you enter. They also enter your information in their computer for quick ordering for delivery.
I ordered the lunch special and was pleased with my order. They even made a substitute. I've also sat down on the restaurant. Food was good and hot. They also have you a fair amount. The bathroom was clean. Staff was friendly and O would recommend this place. I just wish they were closer to me.
We have been going here for many many years and it's a solid place with fresh food. One of the complaints always is whoever the waitress is kind of seems to be bothered sometimes that she is there. If we ask for salt and pepper or extra duck sauce or napkins they make a face when you ask But seem aggravated. We give at least a 20% tip and they should seem me a little bit more interested in being a server.
I eat here quite often as it is near both my job and my home. The food is very good as is the service. You can always get a table there because most of their service is for delivery. I took a star off of the rating because their prices are really out there but it is one of those situations where you get what you pay for. Although I Love most of their offerings, I did not care for their chicken wings. My favorite Chinese dish is egg Fu young however the gravy for it misses the mark. Otherwise everything else is wonderful
A bit on the expensive side but they have your order ready quickly. Chinese food is a little greasy but it's hot and fresh. The Japanese food is pretty decent I've had good sushi here.
While the food is inconsistent, this is a place that we go to out of convenience. Sometimes the food can be overcooked, and the wait staff doesn't seem to care if you complain. If not in the area, I wouldn't seek this place out. Normal Chinese area dive.
Keep to the land options... The seafood was taking on that not so fresh smell and in turn, put off the taste. The sauces were delish. The chicken was good too.
It was a favorite spot of mine in the area for years but management must have changed, or staff did on large scale. Each dish used to have a distinct taste, and spicy menu items really stood out. But eventually, it drifted towards most items tasting nearly the same. In a word, slop.
Dynamic menu with so many Chinese/Japanese food choices. But the quality of the food is not as good as you would hope. Stick to Chen's in Woodmere for best Chinese food and Xaga in Hewlett for best Japanese food.
The food is good but I got no fork or spoon to eat my meal with. I gave the guy a $2 tip and he texted me saying the tip was to little and next time come pick up the food. I asked him why should I have tipped him extra when I missing food and I have nothing to eat with. I am also at work so how was I supposed to find a fork right now. So I had to take my food home!
I think the reason most people order from here is because there are so few Chinese restaurants around in this area. With that said, i think Little Fu's started taking that for granted. The food quality went down and the prices went up. Greasy and below par food is now their norm. Sad! Portion sizes are smaller too. Oh well, i guess i'll have to get use to not being able to get good take-out for a while. Bummer!
I received a menu in the mail and decided to try it out. My sushi was really warm and dry. One of the sushi rolls were so fishy and had a bone in it - it really made me gag. The best thing was the salad. Probably won't order again.
I do not like how when the place gets crowded. THEY HAVE LITTLE STAFF. The food however is good. No issues with that. But when you go to even sit down there its packed. Well sometimes. Most of the time its fine but sometimes you cant even find a seat. So we got takeout. Everything went good and they missed one order. 1 HOUR FOR DELIVERY? WHO THE HELL DO THEY THINK THEY ARE! So i picked it up and now its fine. Good food. BAD SERVICE!
I came for vegan vegetarian food and was not happy with the result. The place felt humid with carpet didn’t feel like a good place to dine. The food lacked flavour
I personally love the food. This is my number one choice but it could possibly be because it’s 2 minutes from my house. Also, the thing is that all I get is broth with white rice. I only love it because it’s salty and hot and just has a better taste than other restaurants for a lower price. The only other thing I get is their steamed broccoli and it’s usually half cold but I still semi enjoy it. I’m a severely picky eater so the main reason I love this place is because their broth and rice are a 10/10 for me so probably not many can relate to my review. Anyway the lady over the phone has attitude a lot of the time so I hate ordering to deliver plus the last 5 times I delivered the delivery guy bangs on my door so loud and starts yelling too. It’s so weird. But… the ladies that serve you in the restaurant are very nice to me. My parents used to love this place except last time we were there, there was the BIGGEST cockroach and they were also very sad to see it because they knew that after that they would never eat there again. It’s disappointing but I understand. I still continue to eat since it is nearby and I love the food so much it is crazy.
Ordered food to take out and when I got home there were no utensils. The cashier was very rude when taking the order. The young man who brought out the order said here is your food and placed on the seat instead of in my hands. When I called them back to mention their poor quality of service their attitude was like "ok" never again would I go there.
It’s not even generic Chinese food honestly. The taste is not great at all. I think the stuff you buy in the store that they call Chinese in a box taste much better.
Very mediocre customer service. Year's ago when it used to be Used 8 too Much the customer service was much better. The little tea kettle needed polishing. No care.
The last time I went to Little Fu's the spare ribs were old! how do I know this my boyfriend likes to chew on bones and he was like these ribs are old and the shrimp fried rice was not fresh either so we will not be going back there.
this place annoys the hell out of me ordering over the phone. basically if you call and you get a specific woman who has a pretty heavy accent she will send you food no matter the price. i usually make deliveries for $4-5 and they send it only with her. and then if someone else picks up the phone i try to make the same order and they yell at me how it’s $10 minimum. do they not understand there is a lady who sends deliveries for $4? i understand $10 minimum but don’t allow her to do that then. also can you guys stop banging on my door as if i’m standing out the window for an hour waiting for you to show up?
Went for a local quick lunch today. There was a special with 2 hand rolls for $11. I asked the server if I could get the avocado and peanut roll on the lunch and she said yes. Mind you it’s $5.50 a La carte. They give you soup or salad with the lunch special and I chose salad with the dressing on the side. Bill comes and there’s a $1.50 up charge on the peanut avocado roll and $0.50 up charge for dressing on the side. The salad was wet lettuce with a piece of cucumber. When asked the server was not helpful and the cashier called “the boss” who was actually nasty and she said every place charges for dressing on the side! Where does she eat? Very disappointed in their lack of customer service
The food (vegetarian chicken with broccoli and white rice) was spoilt. a few years ago this would’ve been the ideal spot, the only thing that’s good about this place now is the sushi. I ended up paying full price even though I pointed it out, the didn’t even replace the food. Won’t recommend.
Not a very good experience overall. The sushi isn’t the best, and the platters are just okay. I don’t come here as often as I used to because I don’t enjoy it much anymore. However, my little sister wanted to visit, so we went. The service is usually bad, but surprisingly, the server was a bit nicer today. That was a small improvement. On the downside, the hostess – a young girl – could definitely learn how to smile and be more welcoming.
The food was disgusting...full f Msg and oil...I found tiny hard particles and wasnt sure what were those...not only that but I found bits of plastic wraps twice ..I'd never order from here again ...avoid them at all costs
Just finished eating Little Fu’s and already have diarrhea. The food is soaked in a puddle of sauce and it just tasted funny. The first and last time I will eat here.
Quite possibly the worst sushi we ever had...I mean 7 11 does better!! Horrible Chinese also ridiculously small portions and with the take out they are afraid to give out condiment packs
Terrible service!! Delivery guy demanded I gave more than 4 a dollar tip for a 6 dollar item delivery. Mind you I literally ordered from down the block while at work. Food is very bland and over priced!! Never again!!!
There is two pieces of chicken in a sesame chicken meal. Full of rice. Paid 10 bucks for some super small portion. Will not order from here again
I ordered from them on grubhub they never delivered and when I called the woman was rude and didn't want to hear me out she just said they were busy and hung up on me
Yes I remember the opening about three years ago it was excellent but post Covid it’s not.Is the food taste terrible but they very very nasty not accommodating and not able to cook even close to what it used to be so I guess it has new owners. If it’s OK I’ll change it
Order tonight via seamless. Came very hot and quick. However the food was very poor quality. Dumplings were very soggy and doughy. Wontons soup didn’t taste good. Pad Thai did not taste like traditional pad Thai it was missing some flavor and it also felt like it sat. Chicken and broccoli was very rubbery. General tso a mix of dark and white meat and it was more dough than meat
I think they should change the name of this restaurant to “Little Fools”. I ordered Moo Su Pork for take out. My wife and I couldn’t find any pork in the dish. The pork was all fat. Guess I was the little fool on this one. Very disappointed.
Ordered on grub hub tonight. Food came on time I ordered General Tso chicken a staple at any chinese restaurant. The sauce was watery and did not remotely taste like any General Tso chicken dish I have ever had. The chicken was pastie at best. Granted fried stuff doesnt travel well but it should NOT be a tasteless glob of bread with chicken in the middle. $15.95 a plate for 8 pieces of chicken, 2 microscopic florets of broccoli, two 1 inch soggy celery stalks and 7 water chestnuts. Also I ordered the pan fried pork dumplings which were rubbery and the dipping sauce was watered down soy sauce. Pathetic. I dont know why they have such high reviews. Dont walk away ... RUN!
Ordered from here last night. HORRIFIC! First the woman was extremely rude. We were placing a large order for 8 people and asked her a question about what kind of rice comes with the dinner combos and she told me she had other people trying to order too. Um...yes, we were also trying to order. She was messing everything up and put someone else on the phone. After we placed the order we went to pick it up and OMG! We spent over $100 and what we got was uneatable. The sesame chicken was in a puddle of water/sauce and the chicken looked as if it were out for over a week. The boneless spareribs combo came in a metal container (not plastic like the rest) and the meat was basically raw. That went in the garbage with the sesame chicken. Then the sweet and sour chicken combo had 7 tiny pieces of chicken (there was no chicken inside the fried pieces of dough and the entire plate was filled with white rice. They never gave me sauce for my steamed chicken and bokchoy which was fine because when I opened the container the smell was so rancid that we had to throw that out as well. The wanton soup was good. Oh and never get the hot & sour soup unless you want to guess whats in it. We all got sick from just the soup and egg rolls. My boyfriend who ate his sweet and sour chicken and soup wound up in the bathroom all night. NEVER dine at this restaurant. So gross and rude.
I ordered a large spinach wonton soup. I received it with no utensils. This is the second time this happened. Idk I guess I'm supposed to used my hands while driving in the car and eating my soup. Disappointing. This reminds me of why I rarely use this location.
Tired looking place. Unfortunatley the food matched the surroundings. Everything was heavy on the oil, and the crispy items were soggy. I prefer So Far So Good in Lynbrook.
Worst food ever had , got food poisoning from this place . Using old uncooked tofu and had vomiting and diarrhea after I ate their schezuan tofu . Reporting to food control department , they should shut down this place and initiate an investigation
So yesterday I placed an order from this place and my order never arrived, after waiting for about an hour and calling 4 times and getting the same answer from the lady who answered the phone ( your order is on its way) that was the answer I kept getting, I live 7 minutes from this restaurant and I have never experienced something like this from any restaurant. Finally my order never arrived, when I called the last time, the restaurant was closed, they never called me to apologize or something for whatever the situation was...very disappointed and of course I'll never order from this place again 😡
Tried the sesame chicken it was gross. The texture of the chicken was disgusting never buy from there again amazing wok is 100 times better
Our order: Miso soup, shrimp toast, shumai, seafood sizzler and shrimp lo mein. It was the blandest food I've ever attempted to eat. Seriously, it was bad. The only thing that had any sort of flavor was the dipping sauce for the shumai. A total waste of money and basically a rip off. Yuck, yuck, yuck
I have never experienced such disappointment in Chinese food in my life! Just ordered sesame chicken with steamed white rice and wonton soup; along with a separate order of wings. -The sesame chicken felt old; tried 3 different pieces. -The white rice a bit hard with a hint of a burned smell; received in the same container as if a lunch meal. -The wonton soup literally tasted like salt. —$20.40 for the sesame chicken, white rice and soup. —$9.00 for an order of wings. —Food total with $4.00 Uber driver tip $40.64 Food tossed out! Disappointed. Will not purchase food here again!!!
This place used to be so great. Large portions, food was awesome. Now the size of their to go tubs have been reduced by what almost seems like 50%. The rice can in a tiny box that was probably about 3 square inches. The prices have gotten stupid. Charge more, give less, no more Little Fu’s for me.
The worst food ever and very expensive. I purchased a combination plate of sesame chicken and a HAPPY family. Total with tip $49. The food has no flavor. I expe Ted something descent for $44 Garbage, GARBAGE GARBAGE
At one time this was a great vegetarian experience 10-15 years ago, now the food is terrible, it's obvious they take a greater interest in money over quality.
We have ordered from Fu's Rush Inn for over 25 years and over the last year about once a week to support them through the pandemic. Their food is not as good as it used to be but tonight we ordered the house dish with pan fried noodles. The ingredients were a good selection in a brown sauce but the pan fried noodles were horrible. It was like chewing raw pasta. We called to complain and we're told to put the brown sauce over them. When we told them we had done that, we were told that's how it's supposed to be. Very disappointing. We will not be ordering from them again.
I’ve been coming here for many years, but today was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had. The menu posted on the window clearly advertises the sushi lunch special from 11:30 AM – 4:00 PM. When I went inside to order, the employee named Cece immediately raised her hand and told me the lunch special ended at 3:00 PM. I explained that the sign outside says 4:00 PM, but instead of checking, she told me to go back outside and read it again and pointed to a handwritten sign that says 11:30–3:00. The problem is that the handwritten sign refers to the combination lunch menu, while the printed menu on the window clearly shows the sushi lunch special until 4:00 PM. When I tried to explain the difference, she became rude and told me to speak to the manager. The manager, Emma, never came over to speak with me. Instead, she raised her hand from across the room and said it ended at 3:00 PM before I could even explain what the issue was. Both of them continued speaking in their own language while dismissing me. All that needed to happen was a simple apology and acknowledgment that the sign outside is confusing and needs to be corrected. I came in for the 3-roll sushi lunch special for $14, but without the lunch special it jumps to $24, which is a big price difference for rolls that are only six small pieces each. Very disappointing experience after being a loyal customer for years. Between the confusing signage, poor customer service, and lack of professionalism, it left a really bad impression. If you go here, don’t rely on the menu posted on the window—it appears to be misleading. The restaurant could also really benefit from some renovations and better customer service training.
Arrived today first time was seated by the window far left with waters and crispy noodles n sauce but next to us was an unclean table with flies swarming around it We moved ourselves up two tables to only have tiny nats on our tea cups at that point we had enough and left
I was hoping to find a decent Chinese restaurant. I was placing an order to go. Upon walking in I can tell the place was old and I hate old dirty carpet in a restaurant. The smell wasnt that good. I took a chance and tried it. They right away took my order and I didn't wait too long for it. When I got home and tasted it, the food wasnt that good it had an odd off taste. Food was soaked in oil also gross. low quality questionable meat..cat? dog? Can't find any decent Chinese food even take out ones horrible. what happened to these Chineese food places they used to be good but not anymore. and why so dirty and old? windows dirty too. gross!
avoid this place at all cost! I ordered pad Thai, an egg role, and fried bananas thinking it’s a pretty basic order. The food arrived late and cold. Not only that, the delivery driver was extremely rude and nasty because of the tip. He was yelling and screaming at me through the door and didn’t want to leave until I tipped him. I flatly refused to tip him because he was late, didn’t follow my drop-off instructions, rude, and his behavior was extremely unprofessional. I also specified that I wanted my food to be dropped by my building’s mail area for security purposes. Instead he came all the way to my apartment. When I called to complain to the manager, I got an equally rude hostess (Marie) who berated me and flat out called me a liar for the complaints I placed against the driver. i kept asking for a manager but she didn’t transfer me over under the pretense of “she’s not here”. This was an obvious lie since I called the previous day and another hostess assured me that the manager would be there at the time I called. Any hostess that calls a customer a liar when they voice concerns over their experience at the restaurant should be fired immediately as it ruins the customer’s experience. This is not what I expected from a 5towns restaurant.
(WARNING)!!!!!! NASTIEST food we ever seen !!! couldn't even try to eat it ! $80 down the drain and the Nasty lady on the phn said we took too long to eat it ! Unreal never again ! I eat Chinese food from every borro and all over the island and never had I ever even seen mushy undercooked oil saturated food being blamed on the customer !!!!!!! Little yuck is a more appropriate name for this place
