If you’re looking for a place that truly delivers on both flavor and atmosphere, Phoenix Kitchen & Cocktails is an absolute gem. From the moment you walk in, the ambiance strikes that perfect balance between upscale and welcoming—stylish décor, warm lighting, and a lively yet comfortable vibe that makes it ideal for both date nights and group dinners. I highly recommend 👌
Hip atmosphere. Loved the outdoor seating. Erica was wonderful!!!! She took fantastic care of us. Drinks are fun and fancy. Food very good.
I have nothing but good things to say about The Phoenix! The food is always delicious and they have the sweetest, most accommodating staff. Our family has hosted two baby showers here and they exceeded our expectations both times!
We went for an evening dinner. It was our first time and glad we made reservations because it was a bit crowded. We sat right away and the service was excellent. We started with the brussel sprouts that had bacon and candied pecans that were delicious! We also got the butter candle with bread that we enjoyed. Then I got a smoked old fashioned and the pork tenderloin that was perfect. My wife got the chicken piccata that she loved. We will definitely come back again!
There are reason why there are great reviews, because it's so true! We celebrated our anniversary here and we loved it! The service was great, the atmosphere was warm, And they made us feel really special! We sat outside which was beautifully decorated. We loved the stuffed mushrooms, burger, pork chops, and Crème brûlée! Definitely will be heading back there again, highly recommend!
We had the Baja Sopes which were recommended and wonderful. The baked oysters were very heavy on the garlic which we loved but might be a lot for some. For dinner we shared the purple potato gnocchi and strip steak. Both were very good, I personally would have liked a little more sauce on the potatoes with the steak. We got the sticky toffee pudding which again was delicious and a great blend of sweet without being too sweet.
My husband and I went for a date night and our server was fantastic! She gave us complimentary limoncello shots which made our night. We had a minor issue with our dessert and our server and manager went above and beyond by comping not only our dessert but making sure we got a fresh new one sent home with us. Customer service was fantastic and we will definitely be back!
Celebrated my 6th Wedding Anniversary here! Food and service was fantastic! The hostess even offered us the private cellar room for the night! It was cozy and intimate, perfect for an anniversary! We were each given a wine glass with a little bit of Prosecco for a toast to us :)! The Al Pastor flatbread was amazing as an appetizer, the Our House salad was fantastic! My husband got the chopped salad and the crab cakes, again fantastic! The manager/or owner even came in and talked to us making sure our dinner was up to par- it sure was! The carrot cake was absolutely delish- everything was fresh and flavorful! Even being in the wine cellar room, I was afraid we’d be forgotten about since it was such a busy night, but I was totally wrong! The service was exceptional! We would highly recommend The Phoenix and will be back again!
What a great date night spot! Straight into artistic cocktails with my wife. The sangria was next level! The staff was absolutely spot on. We wanted for nothing. Our friends arrived, we split 1.5-2 hrs worth of food, while sampling the diversity of the menu. Phoenix offered us ALL an opportunity to try professionally made dishes, of all varieties, within the confines of the local restaurant. We tried craft cocktails, an assortment of appetizers and main dishes. We loved the freshness of the greenhouse veggies. And the bill was more than reasonable. Can’t wait to come back.
This is the 2nd time we have been here, and we are just blown away. We were treated above and beyond what any restaurant has ever shown us. The wait staff was top notch, and the chef even came out to talk with us. We were treated to a lemonchello each, and we were told of an off menumber apple cake desert. We tried that and the lemonchello cheesecake and surprised with a French silk pie. I'm not sure what happened, hit we were treated like royalty. Blow away for sure. Can't wait to go back.
My fiancé & I went to The Phoenix Kitchen & Cocktails for the first time tonight as a treat to celebrate our anniversary. To start it was super simple to set up a reservation & when we were running late I called to let them know and they still took care of us. One of the owners, Tommy, was so incredibly kind and checked on us multiple times throughout the meal. The cocktails were amazing! My fiancé had the smoked old fashioned and really enjoyed it! I had one of the gin cocktails and it was great! We had the fried cauliflower & veggie flatbread as appetizers. Then the salmon & veggie risotto for entrées and the Nutella+blueberry crème brûlée with vanilla gelato for dessert. The service was superb and extremely fast! The food was excellent and portion sizes were generous! We absolutely loved the ambiance of the restaurant! This is definitely a new favorite for us! Thanks again for your amazing hospitality Tommy!
First time here. The food was very good! So fresh! Perfect portions. The staff was excellent! We sat outside. Outdoor dining is a plus! We will definitely come back! Fine dining close to home.
Excellent food and Excellent service. Rue is exceptional and an awesome bartender. Love the atmosphere and friendly environment.
We have been here 3 times. This is our new favorite Gluten-free restaurant. They even have Gluten-free desserts!! The food is delicious. 10 out of 10😍
Decided to try this place after seeing a video on Instagram! The video was amazing and let me tell you, the full experience matched that! I tried the phoenix cosmo for my drink, crab cakes for appetizers, and the manicotti with salmon for my entree… when I tell you everything was a 10/10… EVERYTHING WAS A 10/10👏🏾 We also got complimentary limoncello shots before we left! The service was amazing: we got checked on multiple times throughout the night! Definitely would recommend!
Took husband here for Father’s Day! Everything was delicious! He loved the Rib eye and crème brûlée! Kids meals had large portions!
The phoenix kitchen is so warm and inviting, you feel right at home.. Between the smokey smell of the old fashioned when you walk in the door, to the scent of the wood-fire grill cooking steaks in the back, it makes you want to cozy up with a cocktail like you’re in your own family room. I love the salmon, the the scallop stuffed mushrooms and the half chicken.. just falls off the bone! Must try. There are always fun new cocktails to try too! They keep things fresh and always creative. Can’t wait to go back.
So amazing! Truffle fries (house fries) and the charcuterie board were my favorites. Also, the Sangria had a fruit popsicle inside which made it very tasty and unique. The staff is attentive and fast. Highly recommend you try this place. So happy to see Homer Glen get such a nice spot. This place is modern and now one of my favorites.
I love small plates. Everything we tried was so good. The drinks were pretty and tasted as god as they looked.
We had a really nice dinner...had 5:30 reservations and got a lovely little corner booth that had a little romantic vibe. The place was busy even early, but the wait staff were very efficient and did a really nice job! The Parker rolls with herbed butter are a great appetizer, the smoked prime rib was delicious and the broccoli that came with the pork tenderloin was amazing! We had the doughnut bread pudding for dessert, it was indulgent and fabulous. We'll definitely be back!
Loved the bread and pork belly appetizer. We ordered the chicken and prime rib, both were very flavorful and great fresh ingredients. We came here for our anniversary and we’re served complementary limoncello and crème brûlée. Drinks were great, staff was friendly. We will be coming back for sure.
Some of the best food I have had in a long time. They managed to bring a great atmosphere, craft cocktails, and amazing dishes to this South suburbs gem.
Had a work luncheon this week. Food and service were excellent! Definitely enjoyed everything! I’ll be back.
This place is truly a suburban gem. Their steaks are provided by one of the countries premier suppliers "Meats By Linz" which is the only supplier of steaks to Michael Jordans downtown Chicago. So avoid the traffic and city non-sense and stay local. I Have been to Phoenix Kitchen & Cocktails several times now with family, friends and business associates and I have been highly impressed each time. The menu always has something for everyone at our table including our GF family members. Very delicious fresh fish specials and the staff is awesome. They grow many of their own micro greens on site. The smoking Old Fashion is a crowd favorite. I highly recomend this place. 10/10!
Great dining experience! Very busy, seated promptly & attentive waitress. Food was great! Wonderful experience!
Food was great, service excellent. Definitely going back. This being my 1st time.
It was a great time! We moved into Lemont area back in 2020. Every time we passed this restaurant: we said we needed to bring my mother to eat here! So glad we finally made it happen on her most recent trip to town. We should have come sooner! The food was fantastic, drinks were delicious, service was great, and the food was unique! Our table ate everything! We have added this to our rotation for our out of town visitors and hope to be back super soon!
Kathy took such good care of us. Everything was delicious. The potatoes and asparagus were my favorite.
Very impressed with the food and especially the service. The staff is awesome! The Parker rolls were just okay - great presentation. The onion soup was awesome, unique. The Rigatoni was good with added sausage. However, not a true vodka sauce, a little too rustic. There was also an ingredient that I can't identify. While I'm not a big dessert fan, their banana cream pie is amazing! My biggest complaint, micro greens are pretty but, hold back!
My wife and I love this place! Great staff wonderful food options!
1st time here! The food was really good, particularly the crab cakes and the pork tenderloin. Our server was attentive, and the drinks were really good. The only recommendation I have for any improvements are better sound proofing in the place, it is rather noisy in there. Other than that though, would definitely come back again!
Went here last night and had an awesome experience. Vibe was great largely do to the very professional and attentive staff. Everything we had was delicious and had great presentation. The general manager Bri came around introducing herself to tables and making sure everything was as it should be. We will definitely be returning.
We went to The Phoenix Kitchen for the first time after driving by it for a few years. IT WAS AMAZING! First, the food and drinks were great. The smoked old fashion was one of the best I’ve had, and my wife raved about the martini’s. We ordered the squid appetizer, also amazing. Our entrees were the filet and ribeye, both amazing. What put this restaurant to our new favorite was the service. Our server Jillian was full of great energy and the owner Joe brought our food out welcoming us for our first time, making this experience at The Phoenix Kitchen one to remember. We highly recommend!!!
Love this restaurant. The staff, service and food is always good. Went here on Saturday and had the grilled artichoke hearts, the lobster bisque and Prime Rib and banana cream pie. This place does not disappoint, everything is always delicious! Also, great seasonal cocktails and good wine list.
The staff were very friendly and our waiter David was wonderful & attentive. All the food was very good - a little different takes on some classics but still delicious!
First time here and I really enjoyed it. I had the pork chop with mash potatoes and brussel sprouts, it was delicious. Bartender and manager were very nice. Definitely will go back.
We enjoyed the little bites and appetizers: wrapped dates, saganaki, and oysters Rockefeller. The oysters are not a traditional recipe, but we're still tasty. I had the rigatoni with vodka sauce. It was very rich and garlicy. I didn't love it, but ok after all those appetizers. My other two family members shared the 4 cheese flatbread. Again, it was good, but not great. It was quite loud in there so maybe the acoustics of the room need to be adjusted.
Found this restaurant on Open Table, 5 stars with 970+ reviews. We had to try it and so glad we did. Phoenix Kitchen has fabulous cocktails, great food and the staff is very attentive. I can see why it's rated highly. The restaurant has a U-shaped bar when you walk in and a large dining area as well as outdoor dining. Plenty of parking surround the restaurant. Our server was Suzanne, who is friendly, attentive and provided very good service. Actually, all the staff was on top of everything from bringing the dishes straight from the kitchen while they're hot and removing empty plates. The manager Linda came by to check on us., too. All the staff works together. The menu has a great variety and there are nightly specials as well. My husband and I started out with cocktails, he had a smoky old-fashioned and I had a lavender lemondrop. Both were amazing. We shared the oysters Rockefeller with creamed spinach, nduja, breadcrumbs and lemon. I could've ordered six more, so good. We then shared the salad on the specials menu which was a peach salad - grilled peaches, blueberries, arugula, feta and balsamic vinaigrette. It came with toasted pecans but we had those on the side because of me. The salad was sweet and salty and delicious. Hubby had prime rib with double baked potato and roasted brussels sprouts. I have to say this was the winning entrée of the night. The prime rib was cooked to a perfect medium rare and had the best wood grilled smoky flavor. Not that my entrée wasn't good, it just was not my type of fish and lacked flavor. I had the wood fire grilled cobia with celery root puree and a grilled squash medley. Cobia is a meatier fish like mahi-mahi or swordfish, and I prefer a more tender flaky fish like seabass or halibut. After our meal, we received complimentary glasses of their housemade limoncello. Nice touch! It was the best limoncello. We ended our meal with sharing the banana cream pie. No explanation needed as it was creamy deliciousness. Phoenix Kitchen is a gem and I'm looking forward to going back again. It's very busy so I suggest making reservations. Great find! We will definitely be back
It was not my first visit to this restaurant. I like to come back here because of the great onion soup and not only. Everything is very fresh and prepared with high quality products. A place worth recommending.
Our first time at The Phoenix! A definite winner! Great food and drink choices and a friendly, helpful staff. Tom the co-owner and the hostess Angel are absolutely wonderful and personable. We will be back soon.
The burger on the menu is great because it's simple but expertly made. Solid sopes full of flavor and great service from our waiter and a woman who cleaned our table.
Went to dinner with friends. Food came out quickly but not hot. Felt like Service staff was rushing us out. We sat in the bar area and just felt like they were trying to get us out quick.
Very nice and clean place. Worth to see it. People who work there are friendly polite and helpful the service got was first notch. When we looked at the menu we really liked it and we couldn’t wait to try it all. Tenderloin that we had wasn’t cooked and it was more like medium steak Medium rear ribeye was ok it came out pretty cold and we expected it to be better than what it was. Crab stuffed mushroom… nothing interesting Octopus was cold but nice and soft not chewy like most of the places. Oyster Rockefeller was delicious! It’s worth to try it and worth to come back to have it again! Flatbread was great! Very delicious Beet. Beets salad very tasty! Kids chicken fingers are delicious! Saggy fries French onion soup is nothing special nothing that you want to try out. Mojito’s had their specific state and girls didn’t like it. Overall nice place that’s worth to visit but with the food you are 50/50 I guess it depends on the taste but all of us (party of 8) had same impression.
The menu offers a diverse selection, including excellent small plates and outstanding flatbreads. I was also impressed with the wine and cocktail offerings. Overall, the cuisine was delicious, and the service was commendable.
Got the Arancini Rice balls ... cast iron bread ..onion soup .. house salad with Walnuts gorgonzola .. smoked prime rib ..mash potatoes.. Mahi mahi..grilled cauliflower.. grilled Salmon ..cous cous ..black olives..capers.. chared radicchio
The food was terrible, the service was friendly but slow. The only thing giving it a three star is the smoked old fashioned.
Very average meals. We were not happy with how salty the short ribs were. The meal tasted very "processed" We were very disappointed.
We had a party of 7. Experienced slow service. My husband ordered the Mahi, Mahi & recieved approximately 4-5 oz portion with bitter cabbage. Definitely not worth the price they charged. I ordered the 1/2 chicken & only ate 4 or 5 bite as I was full from appetizers. I took my chicken home & my husband warmed it up the next day & found it to be raw on the inside. See attached photo. We won't be returning to the Phoenix Kitchen.
We went here on Valentine’s Day, so I’ve only been here once and that was my experience. We bought the four course meal. I was overall not impressed by the food. I understand that they have to make a lot of it for the Valentine’s Day crowds so I’m hoping that is why the quality was so low. It felt like they added sugar to everything to make up for bad cooking. The first course was toasted Hawaiian rolls with artichoke dip. The dip was good, and reminded me of a family appetizer at the holidays. However, things went downhill with the main course. My husband got the steak and I had a bite. It was covered in a sickly sweet gravy and tasted like it was made with too much liquid smoke. I had the salmon, which I will say was delicious and all my stars are because that was good. However the potato sides were also very sweet and seemed like hash browns with maple syrup and a potatoes purée with added sugar. The cocktails were absolutely awful. The one I got was gin, elderflower liquor, and a LOT of what I can only assume was peach schnapps. It tasted like a melted peach jolly rancher. My husband’s drink tasted like a pixie stick. If I peeked in the kitchen, I'm pretty sure I’d see Buddy the elf making the food. That all being said everyone’s tastes are different. If you get extra syrup pumps at Starbucks, cover all your food in maple syrup, and prefer drinks that taste like candy instead of alcohol, this place is for you. The waitress was very nice, and responsive despite the crowd. So, 5 stars to her. The low atmosphere rating is because there was gambling parlor by the bathrooms. You can be a classy restaurant or you can have a gambling parlor, but you cannot be both imo.
Booked my reservation thru their website using opentable and told them it was my anniversary dinner and there was not one acknowledgement from restaurant staff. Saganaki was the thinnest piece of cheese ive ever seen. Flatbread rock hard. Pork chop pink in the middle and not cooked throughout, had to send it back.. overall extremely disappointing experience all together
