Old reliable. If I want fast food with some standards I go to whataburger. Glad they added curbside orders

I use the app to order ahead, so it was brought to me promptly. Everything about the burger was fresh, hot, and delicious. The employee the brought my food out was friendly and made sure I had everything I needed before he left me.

Being the only whataburger in medina county, it never disappoints and today was no different! The staff here is the best within 100 miles! (I'll stand by that statement till proven otherwise, they really are great!) Our order was perfect....again:)

Whataburger is our go to place when we are on the road. There is nothing better, bar none! When i have my little Chihuahua with me she gets excited when we pull into the Whataburger drive through. She gets a junior patty. The staff is exceptional no matter which Whataburger we are at. Always an A+ on the restrooms!

Best place to just come in and get a burger no matter what time of the day it is. My favorite that I suggest is the #2 all the way with extra salt on your fries and of course your choice of drink. Amazing service and you get your food in the right amount of time.

I think that if you do not like Whataburger, you are not a normal Texan human, JK. We placed a large order through the app and to my surprise it was ready on time, no errors in the order, and they gave plenty of napkins and ketchup. Keep up the good work!

Probably the greatest fast food establishment in Texas. Customer service was outstanding! I was greeted by Jacob at the front counter and he was very kind. I ordered a large meal and they gave me a medium cup, but I didn't notice until Jacob apologized and gave me a large cup and offered to throw out the other one so I didn't have to! To make up for this mistake, they even gave me a free cookie! So kind! The manager, Jazmine, was very kind- she personally apologized. Then an employee from the back gleefully told me to enjoy my meal. I believe his name was Robert. All in all, a great place. I will certainly come back :)

This whataburger is the best burger establishment I've ever been to. In this smaller establishment, the mighty burgers were cooked to perfection. My server Isiah, was by far the most welcoming and hard working employee I've had the pleasure of meeting at a fast food establishment. Isiah is the best thing since sliced bread. He deserves immediate promotion.

Staff was super friendly, drive thru moved quickly despite it being morning rush and my sausage egg & cheese biscuit was PERFECT. Biscuit was soft, moist and buttery. The egg was cooked perfect and still moist (not an overcooked rubber hockey puck.) And my sausage was perfect.

Got a Whataburger dry with all veggies. Excellent burger! Would go again to this Whataburger. Most places I have to send the order back because they don't know what dry means. This place Got It Right!! Used the drive thru and it was really fast.

Very Busy with a bus load of vball girls. Jose and his manager were still kind in all the chaos. we waited a lil bit longer for our food ,but it was hot and fresh and delicious! Thank you for being so cool under pressure!!

Small restaurant but busy enough to always have fresh food. Online ordering is quick. Some restaurants can lose orders placed online. I hadn't had that issue here.

Very customer oriented. Was checked on more than once toosee if we needed anything. Very busy! We always stop here on our way home from the Frio and from the looks of it we are not the only ones who do this. You are able to park your truck and camper nearby. The food was all great! They could use a bigger bathroom. They only have one stall each for the men and women.

Quick service even though the mixed up our order, 1 fries and 1 onion rings, they brought 2 fries and no onion rings. The person left the 2 fries and had onion rings at our table with in a minute. So no problem really. We have loved Whataburger choices for many years, 40 plus for my wife and close to 30 for me. If we ever had any problems they were squared away within minutes. We have eaten at their restaurants all over Texas.

Never a bland moment! Love the cranberry grill chicken salad with creamy pepper ranch. Add a little crunch with a side of the delicious crispy onion rings! Always fresh!!!

This Whataburger has attention to detail when you order your special request toasted buns grilled onions with cheese burger! The Shoestring French Fries are only ok if they're freshly done but sometimes cold and stale. I don't like Shoestring type French fries and I prefer Burger King or Billy Bob's French fries anytime.

Haven't had a Whataburger for 10 + years... Right when I opened it, so many memories came back... Loved it... Had a classic and a mushroom swiss... So good.

Went through the drive through on way home to Houston from Comstock. They were very quick to get us our food and drinks. Burgers and fries were great as always. And the milkshake I had was also just as good. I would definitely swing through drive through again for their fast and good service.

This whataburger location is great! The service was fast and friendly, and the food came out hot and delicious. I have dined in and have also been through the drivethru. All of my experiences were similar, which is amazing when it comes to fast food restaurants. I will definitely be coming back. I have recommended this location to both family and friends.

Today at lunchtime was as perfect as it gets...it was packed-busy but I think they were being evaluated, as well.

Great helpers with the rewards and app... not to mention very kind servers. Huge smiles with fantastic food. Kudos to Makaila and Victoria for their expertise as servers.

If Debbie is working I always have a 5 star experience. We are drive thru customers. When she is running the drive thru the orders are accurate and fast! Any day she is off it's a wreck! The other employees park you for one meal, always mess up orders, and your bag will never have condiments and utencils. They need to just post her schedule so people can avoid them when she's gone!

I don't eat wheat, so no buns either. It's hard to hide a bad burger without a bun, but my burger was good. I got a triple with no cheese (and no bun). Meat was juicy and the burger(s) tasted good. Service was quick and friendly and I got my food right away. Good job.

Whataburger has always been good and it's a great go to when your in a hurry , I don't think anyone really denies that. It's each individual restaurant and it's employees that tends to dictate whether your experience will be a good one. I haven't visited this location in a while but when I do the employees are almost always pleasant and helpful. My toast was kind of soggy on my burger and my gf patty melt was drenched in sauce but the burgers were good. Hondo has really outgrown this location, it's just to small inside but other then that it was an enjoyable experience.

My justaburger was about the best I've ever had. It was cooked perfectly. Still juicy and the right amount of mustard ,pickle, & onion. They even cut it in half for me. The chocolate raspberry shake was great. My only negative about my visit was it took 15 minutes waiting for them to bring it out to where they told me to wait. Great burger ! !

I have always gotten great food from Whataburger, however I always get a custom order. I brought a friend who ordered a burger all the way. The burger came out cold, not just cold but felt like it came out of refrigerator. When told, they did replace it without question. I can't help but think if I would have gotten a cold burger going through drive thru. Unexceptable!

It's a Whataburger so you know the food is good. But the restaurant is always crowded and they built it too small. Bathroom is one person at a time and there seems to always be a line.

Only place in Hondo to feed yourself after club hours. Expect long lines during midnight hours. Unexpected but reality, was a dry burger. It's kinda busy during these hours. I figured I would have a nice wet and juicy slab of cow waiting for me. Instead, a lot of rough texture between my lettuce and buns. I suppose I shouldn't ask for much considering the time and reason of me being there. However, it's not the cheapest burger place, so one would feel there would be quality associated with it.

Place was packed and the employees were doing the best they could. Way too small a building for the traffic. Food was good. Only a few minor things wrong with the order the were corrected pretty quickly. One of the sweet and spicy bacon burgers didn't seem to have the right sauce on it.

Place has lost a step. Prices up quantity and quality not as good. Sausage gravy was the biggest disappointment due to the biscuits. They went from something to brag about to something probably made in China. Coffee used to be quite good. Not now 🤮. They are always sticking some New Things pictures every were. IMHO it's never a good idea at the dance to fool around and forget to pay attention to the girl that brought you.

I luke that when I ordered no salt they had no salt on mine and not everyone else's frys. And the apple pie u ordered was so old. How can they think I'm gonna enjoy my apple pie when the inside is so dried up. I was very sad

My dad had to clean our booth before we sat down, they forgot my mom’s fries, and forgot to bring us ketchup. I get it’s busy, but at least the employees were nice (thanks William!) Can’t complain too much because we used coupons and it’s a fast food place for a reason. Would eat here if you’re tired, hungry, or short on cash, but that’s it.

Usually pretty good but they do have a problem of mixing up or simply incorrectly making an order.

I used to eat here all the time. I used to call it the best in Hondo. The last 4 visits my food has been over cooked or missing items or totally wrong from what i ordered. It will be a long time before I return. Sad because whataburger is the best for fast food burgers or salad.

One of the guys I drive wanted to get something to eat before meeting the train. We waited almost 45 minutes for his meal. This Whataburger was in Hondo at two thirty in the morning. Let me find out it's the main and only HANGOUT. Cause it most certainly was the only thing open.

Slowest Drive thru service I have ever experienced. Took well over 15 minutes to serve 3 cars on a not busy day. Order was also not rung up properly, I was over charged. Food was normal Whataburger quality but service was not good.

This restaurant is really good, however, the drive thru in Hondo is extremely slow. I came here at 8:40pm. I was in line 25 mins before even gettin up to the ordering screen. An additional 10 minutes to get my food, for a total of 35 minutes sitting in the drive thru! One wouldn’t wait on food that long at an actual restaurant. I was here for myself and a friend. If it would have just been for me i would have been long gone. If you come here and it’s busy go elsewhere or you will be wasting your time waiting for “fast food.”

I had the new honey chicken sandwich and it tasted like it was made yesterday. Really hard, barely warm chicken strips. Made fresh would be great.

Do yourself a favor drive to the next town the employees here are incompetent and lazy. We asked for ketchup three times in a drive-thru, and got none. Had to walk inside and ask for it only to have the employee start doing other things rather than actually give us what we were asking for. There were three employees sitting in the dining area waiting for their shift and no customers. Not one vehicle got serviced at the window we were asked to pull forward and three vehicles behind us were asked to pull forward. Their service times or atrocious go elsewhere. Your management sucks, there are no adults making sure employees were doing their jobs in a timely manner.

Very disappointed in the service I received at this whataburger location. We waited a long time In drive thru, once we received our order it wasn’t correct I had to go back inside and get the fries I ordered. And the fries weren’t even hot and over cooked. The customer service wasn’t as superior as I’m use to at the other whataburger locations. I would understand if it was busy. It wasn’t even busy at that time.

Well the cashier took her time to help us as if she was having trouble with her register. A person who ordered after received his meal before I did. We still waited for our meal as the other person was finishing his food. Not great service I say.

Just awful. Had limited time green chili burger. I thought I had had it here before so I stopped in. It had to be the worst burger ever. Grease dripping from two wrap papers, so salty you could barely eat it. I pulled off the bacon, one of the burgers, and then it was barely edible, tossed most of it. I can’t believe people think this is a great place to eat. I will never purchase anything from this place again.

Got a to go order last week. They got my order out within 10 minutes. But I ended up with what I didn't order. It was 6 tacos, that I did order, not everything was correct though. 3 bacon & egg & 3 bacon & potato, Instead all of them were egg & bacon. It was supposed to be half & half. Taco's aren't that good really. I've been to that place across from the H.E.B whatever the name is, & they have never got stuff wrong before. Whataburgers hamburgers are good. About the only thing worth eating.

Worst whataburger experience I've ever had. They had to remake my burger 3 times to get it right, and forgot my wife fries. Finally after the 3rd attempt I wanted a refund. while sitting here letting my kids finish their food I'm listening to 3 more customers complaining their orders aren't right either. The lady at the register was completely sorry and did her job 100 percent right. The kitchen however needs more help.

Whataburger is living off the Glory Days of old. I don't know what the big deal is about this place any longer. Every time I've gone in there in the last couple of years, the service is terrible, the fountain drinks usually have a weird taste to them,and the food is mediocre at best . In the evenings after the dining room closes, the drive-thru is stacked back so far that you wonder why it takes them so long to serve One customer at a time. Whenever I see a Whataburger nowadays, I just go to their next door competitor. There's nothing special about Whataburger anymore.

We were traveling and needed something to eat. Usually Whataburger is a great option. It was very busy. Before I could order, the cashier told me that there was a 20 to 25 minute wait in the kitchen. It wasn't worth the wait.

They used to be good. My review is for the current night crew. Horrible service, horrible attitudes, not friendly at all everyone acts like walking zombies. The past 2 months it's just gone downhill. The burgers are always cold, like ice cold, the cheese completely unmelted and the fries old, the biscuits like hard rocks and the eggs always burned. Every single time. Yet it takes 15 mins JUST to get your food once you place your order so how can it be so cold? I don't understand. There's only one manager who makes sure everything is cooked good, her name is Kay but she's almost never there. James is a joke, not sure how he even has this job. I've been going to D'hanis for tacos instead of here and I'd come here almost every morning. Lost my business.
