During my visit to Black Bear Diner, I couldn't help but appreciate the hearty breakfast options. The bear claw, filled with fresh berries, was a delightful treat. Since I usually have an omelette everywhere I go, I had one here and it was plump with bacon and offered a satisfying and savory experience. It wasn't too dry as some places can turn out. And let's not forget the French toast, which was great too. The hash browns were shaved potatoes which were unique. It added to the overall positive impression of the breakfast menu. The staff was friendly and provided attentive service, making the dining experience enjoyable. However, it's worth mentioning that the music was a bit too loud and somewhat intrusive. This was a minor drawback in an otherwise pleasant breakfast outing. You'll find cute bear gifts in the entryway.
We had a great experience at this location. Service was quick. Our waitress Yvette was kind and patient with our large table and accommodated our request. Food was really good. Restaurant was clean and service fast. We spent about $10/person. $47 for a family if 5 with some kids. Parking is easy.
Great service, everyone is super friendly. This place feels nice and cozy. Patricka is the best server. I would highly recommend coming in. I truly enjoyed the vegetarian omelette.
2nd visit with our group of 30 technicians for breakfast and we have experienced the best service and price each time. Big call out to Chasity as she was our server today plus kudos to the kitchen and rest of staff. Did I mention food was fantastic as well.
Portions are plentiful! Service was nice. The staff sang Happy Birthday for us which was unexpected but lovely. The food is delicious. I'd love to go back soon.
We took our car in for service and decided to go for breakfast while we waited. We were very pleased to find a Black Bear so close. We were greated with smiles and happiness. Patricka was our server and was absolutely marvelous!! Big smile and a great conversationalist. I really enjoyed chatting with her. Food was delicious, as always. Coffee was excellent, as always. We look forward to our next vehicle service 😁.
Everything was acceptable. My only complaint is that the pancakes aren't served hot. They were a little hard to cut because they were luke warm and hard. I wanted extra butter, but butter was hard and cold, so it wasn't melting on the pancakes. The rest of the food was good. Despite being cold, I actually enjoyed the flavor of the pancakes. The spicy sausage was good. The eggs were meh. I like shelled eggs. The Waffles were good and soft. The Western BBQ burger was good, cooked as requested. Plating was nice for all entrees. Service was good. Waitresses were friendly and tables were kept clean throughout. There was no wait on this visit. Overall, good visit. This location is right off of the freeway, with easy access from the feeder of I-45.
Birthday Lunch was delicious. Food cooked to perfection. Good coffee, waffles and eggs. Chicken was not cooked hard. The seat cushion looks terrible. Torn badly someone could damage their clothing or skin on the seat. They could cover it with a seat covering until a new seat comes in.
First time eating a burger at this place & I can say it was not a bad burger. It definitely beats McDonald's, BK, & Wendy's. I'd even say it was better than SmashBurger. I only tried the breakfast which is good. The service from Brandon was outstanding. Brandon was attentive and very mannerable & I loved that. If I was his parent I'd be proud. Will return again , thanks Brandon for great service
This was our first time at black bear diner!! They had amazing food! The biscuits were huge!! We sat at the bar and noticed how busy they were but they pushed out food quickly and efficiently! Our waitress Ebony was so awesome! She always asked how we were, got what we needed fast and efficiently even though she was super busy!!! Thank you and we will be back!
We had a party of 7 & we all left full and happy. 1 even proclaimed it the best dinner ever. Excellent food, great service & such a cute theme. Staff was warm & helpful. I love the newspaper looking menus & the cabin theme everywhere! Can't wait to go back
The Chicken Fried Steak here is fantastic! Very tender and maintains a crunchy texture even after being delivered in a to go container, reheated in a microwave, and drowned in gravy! 👍👍👍
Sheer luck. This was in a row of restaurants, so I decided to go with the one I hadn't had before. Friendly hostess, fast seating. Comfy booth n quaint decor. Solid menu options, and our waitress Millie was an absolute gem 💎 💖 ✨️ Hope the pics do the meal justice! My French dip was done with fresh mushrooms and caramelized purple onions on a wonderful sourdough bun. My friend's breakfast platter was huge, and required 2 takeout containers for her leftovers. Go, just go!
Ronan was very polite and made sure we were taken care of. He let us know what kind of drinks they had. Let me know the different proportions. The salad is huge. Kids eat free Tuesday with adult purchase. Everything was delicious and homemade. Will recommend! There is a gift shop in the front and the desserts.
It’s a nice and quiet place, where you can come and enjoy time with the family. The food is really good and the coffee oh boy the coffee is the best.
Had the steak and eggs, and it was cooked to perfection—juicy steak with just the right seasoning! The cinnamon French toast was heavenly, with the perfect balance of sweetness and spice. Service was absolutely Amazing! Bryce was knowledgeable and amazing! the atmosphere was cozy. Will definitely be back! Highly recommend!

My Best Friend And I Came As First Timers One Random Morning And OMG. I’m Not A Breakfast Person And I LOVED This Food. The Vibe Gave Roadtrippers Passing Through Lol. Great diner experience affordable food was hot and arrived fast. Just a regular meal like I hop or Denny’s. Very large menu lots of options breakfast,lunch and dinner , they have mimosas $7.99, cute little champagne bottles for $6.99. Service was very similar to a quick fast food spot.
Had blueberry pancakes, bacon and a biscuit with gravy. Can’t ever go wrong with breakfast for dinner (aka Brinner). The pancakes were very large and tasty. Had one left over that I took back to the hotel and ate the next morning for breakfast. Bacon was cooked just right. The biscuits and gravy were just ok. Our server was outstanding, very friendly, great customer service!
Food the two times I’ve been has been consistent and delicious. We made the unintentional mistake of going a bit later on a Sunday morning (915am) and were forgotten about. No coffee refills, food wasn’t checked on until two of three were done eating, and when a request to fix an item was done it was done incorrectly (asked for over medium and got slimy undercooked eggs, asked again for a fix and got the same result) and we were charged for the fix. Overall, I’d go back but I’d make sure I go during a slow time. My first time here a few weeks ago I had good service and good food which is why we came back.

My first time dining here. When we arrived we were seated by a staff member who was on her way home. She shared that her shift was over, but didn't want us waiting too long. When we sat down it took a few minutes for our server to come. Much to our surprise there was only one server available (Antoine). He was very pleasant and shared with us he was working a double. Antoine provided amazing customer service with a smile!!! After we ordered, it did not take long for our food to come out. The fries were hot and seasoned well. The waffles, chicken sausage and chorizo burrito was good. We also ordered an oreo cookie shake which was soooo good! Thank you Antoine for being an amazing human being. You have a wonderful spirit. God Bless you. We will be back!

The worst customer service I ever experienced at this location! I’ve been here numerous times, but yesterday took the cake! I was seated by the back door and I POLITELY asked to wait for a booth, which by the way was already available. There was no wait 🫢. Sat there with my family, (1 who was elderly) the wait was what seemed like forever. No server. Waited a lil longer no service. Not even a hello or glass of water! I was so disappointed we just left.
