I love bros. It comes in handy and it's quick and efficient and tasty
Very good tacos, specially the breakfast tacos. It’s a pretty hefty taco and very flavorful. They also have some lunch items like the Pork in salsa verde, chicken tinga I believe and a few others that are stewed in a salsa . They have a line usually but it moves quickly.
Oh my God, what amazing tacos this place is the taco heaven of the world
Great counter taco! There are only a couple of tables here to sit down and eat. They have so much variety of meats. I went during a non busy time and still waited in line with slight rain. I knew I was in the right place because no one budged from the line when it rained. The tacos were meaty and inexpensive .
The tacos here are legit. This is one of my favorite places to eat in all of H-Town! They got breakfast tacos, chicken tacos, beef tacos, and pork tacos. They got other dishes as well, but this place is best known for the tacos. Super cheap, fast service, and great food. They are open in the early morning and for lunch hours. Be ready for there to be a line when you show up, but don’t worry, it moves rather fast and it makes the food even more worth it. Be sure to get the creamy red and green salsas at the counter/salsa bar (so delicious). My favorite is the lengua taco!
So many variations of tacos…. Mmmm…. Best to go early morning. They are fast and the tacos are flavorful!
Brother's may have the best tacos in Houston. There is always a line but it goes fast and well worth the wait!!
LOVE IT!! Chile rellenos, tacos and all are awesome. Highly recommend 👌
Ultimately a wonderful experience, tacos are loaded 😋 Seating is limited, you might get seating or just take to go and eat in the car.
This place is very good place to get breakfast tacos I haven't been there for lunch yet but I definitely will be giving it a try I tried the chorizo and egg taco and the ground beef also the barbacoa was very good I normally show up 5 minutes till they open but this day I showed up 5 minutes late and there was already a line The line goes extremely fast so even if there's a line don't be intimidated just go ahead and get in there they'll serve you pretty fast
This is the go to place for breakfast tacos. Great options and service is fast. Even if your like me and walk in and act like you've never seen a menu before lol. They were patient and prices were on point
Really good affordable breakfast tacos. Staff was friendly yet efficient since they had a constant line of people. Definitely coming back next time I’m in town!
Delicious tacos great service and quick. Love my Hispanic people we know how to cook the line was long but it was quick to get serviced. The place is old but the vibes and the music and the food is what makes up for it. The parking was a bit difficult but found one quickly. My family loved it we will come back when we are on that side of town.
Omg they have the best tacos.Make sure you check out the daily special.I love friday daily special and I need to try thursday's daily special.
I visited them a Saturday morning, and there was a line, I was in line for about five minutes. Once you get inside the service is fast. I order 5 tacos and it took them less than a minute to make them. I highly recomend.
I really like this taco house on Emancipation Ave @ Leeland St. They serve breakfast & lunch and close at 3:00 p.m. I stopped for lunch. The large tacos are S2.00. Two fajita beef tacos with onions and green peppers filled me up. ☺ They were excellent. The ladies working the counter are very friendly and outgoing.
They are totally the best, the food is so fresh, listen I cannot emphasize it enough how fresh this food is, I don't feel bloated after it, not stomachache, it's the best I have found so far in town, also not process food at all, the rice need improvement but the food is so good you won't even notice it, do you self a favor go and try them out.
Best taco shop to go to I highly recommended this place, and don’t get scared because of the lines they are so worth it.
Yes sir. Finally an affordable place to eat near minute maid park. The tacos are amazing. The long line moves fast as they are very organized inside. I do not believe you can make a wrong choice here. The weekend only barbacoa taco is wonderful. The carne guisada was good. Highly recommend this taco shop. Large variety of breakfast & lunch tacos. It is not open for dinner, closes at 3. Very limited parking, be prepared to parallel park on the street.
Taco's are great. The owner is very friendly. There's a long line, but if you call ahead, your order will be ready when you get there. They have a bunch of different sauces, and they're all free.
Parking can be tricky, depending on how crowded it is, but there is street parking available as well. Once you park, you enter a small, humble building. There is usually a line, but they get through everyone quickly. They have various meats, rice and beans and in the mornings, they also offer breakfast plates. When we went, we ordered like 10 different tacos and a large lemonade (I can't remember the exact price of everything, but it was pretty cheap!) The tacos are stuffed, so honestly we overdid it, but we wanted to try the different meats. We got spicy pork, chicken, mole, and mixed fajita, among others. My favorite was the spicy pork, but be warned, it is SPICY!! The only thing I wish is that they were open later!
I work by downtown area and the tacos inside downtown areas aren't too good and they are expensive.....on the contrary brother tacos are good and yummy 😋 and we'll the price is perfect for the taco and taste .... stop here followers before coming inside downtown areas for breakfast.....
This is without a doubt, one of my favorite food experiences in Houston. I was recommended to me by local and has a bonus it was within walking distance of my hotel. Every time I've been there there has been a line well out the door that moves fast. It can seem kind of hectic, especially if you don't speak Spanish but they are helpful. I've tried several different tacos and each one of them has been absolutely amazing. And the price, even though it just went up like everything else, is still exceedingly reasonable for downtown adjacent Houston
Bfast tacos last longer than bfast hours. Al pastor is very tasty. Fast service.
Food is always awesome, love the fact ypur able to mix and match to make the perfect taco, my belly appreciates that lol! The brothers house staff are always friendly and awesome! Their lemonade is delicious. We never eat inside so don't take my 4 stars as much of a hit or the long line to mean much. Just means that the food stays fresh and come with conversation, come hungry
The place was great as it was my first time there. I’ve heard that it was a popular place to go eat. The line was a bit long but the wait didn’t take forever. When I got there I ordered breakfast tacos with eggs plus meat. they can also add beans which was optional. The lady’s were very nice and to think that this place has been here for nearly 20 years. Highly recommend.
There isn't enough words to tell you how happy & full we were after visiting this place. We tried to get 1 of every taco so that we could taste everything. There's a small line, but it moves pretty fast. We ate so much that we needed to go sit down & take a break before we went out to do anything else. Everybody is friendly & they try really hard to get ensign everything together. This is a destination spot every time you come to town! I wished we had time to try lunch. We will next time!
Y’all have to check this place out!! The line is pretty long no matter what time you go. They’re open from 6am till 3pm. They have sooo many flavors to choose from. They’re flour tortillas are made fresh all day everyday. Just a foodies paradise! If you ever in Houston or live here y’all gotta give this place a try!!
Some of the best, if not, the best breakfast tacos in Houston, I’ve been coming since I was a child and the only thing that has changed is the longer line, some people complain but I’m happy they are getting all the love. The tortillas are the best around and taste like mom is in the kitchen making them. Really enjoy the ground beef tacos but always try to get the papa con huevo.
The ground beef tacos are the best in Houston!!! My man easily eats 5 at once! If you’re ever up early around the area this is the place to go!!
Came here on Sunday morning, line got long immediately after my husband and I arrived here. Ordered 6 tacos for pictures: including pulled pork, beef with jalapeño, Chicharrón (pork skin), and some typical breakfast taco. I loved everything I had here! Especially the pork one was so juicy and meaty. Portion sizes are generous. Would love to come back!
Went this last weekend on a Saturday to try out their tacos de barbacoa! They were super delicious and tasty. The sauces were the perfect amount of spiciness too. There was a waiting line outside the entrance of people. The employees were super friendly and dispatch the line fast. All the tacos are made fresh that day and look amazing to eat. The price is okay with it being downtown usually every is expensive. This is the first place I find out that sells taco de barbacoa here in Houston. There are no restrooms in this restaurant unfortunately.
Got squeezed in during happy hour and were completely blown away! The pepperoni and cheese pizzas with hot honey were incredible, and the stuffed shells were so fresh and delicious.
If you are ever close to this place, then I highly recommend you stop by to get yourself some good Mexican tacos. I tried the bacon egg taco, the Chicharrón taco and the fajita taco. All were great!! If you like real spicy, try the red hot sauce and if you like the mild salsa, then definitely try the green sauce. The staff is very friendly, and they do have tables to sit down, but most people take things to go. They do not have restrooms in case you didn’t know. I will definitely go again when I’m in that area.
The tacos are awesome and everything was fresh. Purchased chorizo and egg and bacon egg and cheese tacos. The potatoes with the jalapeños in it is good but spicy. Will return to this location.
I see why this place is so popular. Cheap and delicious breakfast tacos. The chorizo was definitely my favorite, but everything we tried was perfect. Generally the clients and staff here speak Spanish, so it's helpful to speak and understand Spanish, but not required! There's a line, but it moves quickly. Parking is a bit tricky, but even with that the experience was smooth.
I grew up in The Valley and now live in Dallas and nothing like these in Dallas... these are the absolute best tacos I've ever had!! Authentic and full of flavor!! Its a must stop every morning when in town for a week every year for work!!
Such a great stop. Service was quick, the food was delicious, and the staff was warm and welcoming. The taco selection is impressive, and the coffee and hot sauces were a nice bonus. We will definitely be back when we are in the area again.
Very friendly! My first time here and they make you feel very welcomed! The service was very fast and the food was top tier. Their barbacoa was the best I’ve ever had. It was not full of fat it was very flavorful and the hot sauce was delicious. They put onions, cilantro, and limes on the side so you don’t have to worry about them mixed in if you don’t want them. This will be my Sunday go to spot from now on. 1000/10.
Parking is tight. If there's a line, it tends to move fast. The tacos are on the bigger side which we can all appreciate. The tacos are tasty, they have a lot of options. I would like to return. Worth a visit.
I am of the opinion that this long standing establishment produces the most delicious and outstanding tacos and mexican fare in the entire Houston area in terms of their flavor and sazon! The coffee here is also a must have if you visit and tastes better than even a lot of coffee shops in the area. It is truly an establishment of class and elegance, a most exquisite array of traditional Mexican fare done to the highest culinary standards and meticulous aversion to even the slightest margins of error! Truly, a hallmark of Houstons grand collection of culinary landmarks!
There’s always a line when you come so be ready to wait, and wait to be called in. So far I’ve only tried what’s on the pictures I posted. The food is just rightI haven’t tried much, I’m definitely coming back for an update, but it feels like a home cooked meal 🥘 . The people are very sweet, or as sweet as any hard working person who is highly focused on getting the job done can be. Hopefully these videos helped, will be going back soon 🥰
Delicious breakfast tacos- the fillings, tortilla and salsas were all excellent. Each taco is sized well to try multiple ones. Had 3 of their popular ones. The people are very friendly too. Honest food, good prices, friendly and welcoming environment.
About as authentic as it gets. They have an enormous selection of choices available. I got several egg and potato. The line is always out of the door. If people are willing to wait in Houston heat, that should tell you something. I wouldn’t call these my most favorite taco in Houston as I usually go for weirder, more fusion options (think tofu or veggie). But I will definitely keep returning to this spot.
Great food! Love their breakfast tacos. There is a line in the morning (Saturday around 8:20am) but it moved very quickly. The food look great, you can see them preparing your tacos. They put enough meat, eggs are good fresh. Tacos can with flour tortillas, I think you ask for corn but I didn’t try. The ladies are very nice and welcoming! Bonus points for having a bucket of red and green salsa for us to grab.
Went with my friend and LOVED IT!!! Realized after most of the food was eaten that I forgot to take a picture for this review. She got two breakfast tacos (pictured) and three regular tacos (beef and chicken, not pictured). All were amazing and my beef tacos were stellar! I loved the little to go salsas at the checkout, spicy and flavorful! Can’t wait to come back 💜
Visiting the George Brown Convention Center early on a Sunday morning looking desperately for somewhere to pick up a bite and my wife found Brothers Taco House! Wow! What a treat, the serving line was quick, food was delicious, and the staff was spot on friendly. We were in and out within 10 minutes. There is no drive thru but if there was you'd miss out the big selection of tacos varieties. Their coffee and hot sauces were also very good. We come to the convention center and few times a year, so that means we will return soon!

Good tacos and wide selection to choose from. They also have breakfast and lunch plates with large portions. Service is great and worth standing in the long lines.
Great food & great value. We had a quick lunch and one lunch special fed two of us. My not hungry husband ate three tacos because they were so tasty. Red sauce great.

As advertised period! If you have the time drop in for a breakfast taco, especially if you are heading to UofH or TSU. Great service.

I heard this place was good so decided to give it a try. I ordered 2 pork tacos, 2 potato & egg & 2 chorizo & egg. When I got home I only had 6 tacos. I called & apparently I only paid for 5 & only got 4. Despite the small mishap, the service was overall good & the food quality excellent.
Great Houston Area type tex mex offerings from their steamtable. I am a Native Houstonian and this food reminds me of my mothers and grandmothers food as I grew up in the 70's and 80's. They make your tacos as you choose your ingredients while standing in line. The only reason I gave the super delicious Food 4 stars was because of the flour tortillas. Good, kinda small & seem like they are tortilla machine made in the back vs handmade. I may be wrong though but definitely not a deal breaker for me or mine. See yall again soon. Update: 2/9/24 I would like to add that my pic of my tacos isnt the best, as I opened and ate my breakfast tacos a few hours after ordering them. They sat in my insulated backpack a few hours while I settled in at work. Tacos: - Huevos a la mexicana with weinies; added beans. - Scrambled eggs cooked w house green tomatillo sauce; added beans. Both delicious!
Solid Taco spot in East Downtown. I like how consistent this place is with flavor, you always know what to expect. The breakfast, chicken chipotle, and mole tacos are awesome. As for the other meat options, they're pretty neutral. Long lines but they move pretty quickly and great prices for the area.
Brothers taco house is one of the most delicious tacos I have had in Houston for awhile, situated in the east downtown area of Houston, it offers a variety of tasty choices to pick from and customize your tacos. The rice however can be made more flavorful with a little more seasoning. In general it’s a 9/10 for me.
Breakfast was great, tortillas were freshly made and portions were great for the price. It is however very rushed and as a first timer the lady seemed frustrated that I wasn't ordering fast enough. 😕 so that can chill out a bit. Also updating a menu online would help since there is no menu to look at while waiting in line 15 mins..
The tacos are extremely good, with and without the salsas. The tacos are mainly breakfast-ish. I really really enjoyed the food. The only problem I had was that there's no menu there, and the line starts right at the door, so you'll want to know exactly what you want before you get there. I just pointed at stuff that looked familiar and asked for it on a taco. Lol. Good idea to use the menu on Google maps. Would've been a 5 if only based on the food.
Waited about 40 mins on line for breakfast tacos. The ordering is very fast and the ladies have no patience to answer questions so my advice is look at a menu and know before hand what you want. Tacos were very good. Nice flavor. Not sure I would wait 40 mins for them again but glad to have had the experience.
Great place to go to in the early morning since it opens at 5:00am. The service is super quick, and you can grab and go! I will say, that a line tends to form quickly so just be patient. The food is pretty good, and everyone is really nice! The parking lot is outside but it can get full easily since there’s not a lot of spots. You can also park behind the building, on the grass.
The food is good. I think that they can improve their flour tortillas even if the taco gets a bit more expensive. Also, instead of having different prices for everything, select an average price. Keep one server per section, passing the order from server to server instrlead of following a customer through the dishes.
Line out the door you know its gonna be good, food was amazing but chaotic ordering, Personally I found it difficult to hear and talk to the staff member at the time I ordered the beef taco and it was great but id loved to have added cheese and some onions and cilantro with it, But what I did get was incredible tbf!
A coworker of mine put me onto this establishment, and I'm definitely glad he did. Being nice, I went and grabbed some tacos for my colleagues, and I was told every single order was a hit for them. I went with the chorizo & egg. My home girl went with bean, bacon & potato (2x). Two nurses went with the chicken fajita, beef fajita, and a bacon, potato, cheese & egg tacos. All were fresh, flavorful, and packed just right. Not mentioned made right in front of you. The food quality was great, the service was family oriented friendly and efficient, and the ambience is laid back and welcoming, exactly what you want from a neighborhood taco spot that knows what it's doing. The servers definitely go over and beyond with a smile. Absolutely try to get here early because the lines can get long, but today the wait wasn't as bad as I thought it was gone be. It moved quickly. Worth it either way with the option selections they have. If you're craving some satisfying tacos that deliver every time, Brothers Taco House is a spot you should try out. I'll be back to try some other tacos very soon.
Brothers never misses. One of my best taco spots in Houston. Especially wide variety of breakfast tacos. Food is fresh and delicious, service is great. Be prepared though, because there's often a line out the door. But, the line does move fast. It's not a very large place, and it is quite popular. Those who know, know.
The huge wait line at any time of the day in front of this place created huge expectations…which were not fulfilled. The tacos are good but not that good to justify >30min wait. And menudo was not even available, despite being on the regular menu. I guess it’s that popular because you get a HUGE load of meat with every taco for basically $3. But yeah, nothing special - at least not in Houston, where the mexican food is top notch.
All these years in Houston and today was the first time we stopped here!! “What took me so long” is all i can say. Dont make that same mistake. Great place to have some breakfast. Very homey inside. The lines may be long but well worth the wait. Once inside you can pick from a variety of meats and or toppings to build your tacos. The quality of the food is excellent. The dining room was clean and spacious. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The pricing is very reasonable too. We will come back.

I’ve tried this place out multiple times now and I’ve come to the conclusion the food lacks flavor. I got the meat Chile rellenó today and the Chile lack flavored. Don’t forget to grab some salt and pepper. The beans and rice was on point tho. I wish I could have asked for everything to be packed separately cause my rice and beans got mixed up. The flour tortillas are plain and could use more flavor as well as being bigger. I wish there was a mix of meat/cheese option for the Chile rellenó. The hot sauce available is very good the red is the least hot. The breakfast tacos taste really light like the flour tortilla ain’t there. Update: Saturday is the worst day to go there’s over a 30 min wait line, not sure if it’s because there isn’t enough ladies to help ppl or if it’s cause ppl ordering more than 10+ tacos.
When I saw those chiles just laying there for you to eat it amor(a mordidas) reminded me of home 🇲🇽 I came here because I recommendation I saw TikTok about authentic breakfast tacos, which to me just translates to actual burritos Norteños from Chihuahua (where I’m from) I like that they have several options and they prepared just like we do in Mexico with the exception that some of the “guisos” that I had were not that flavorful . Eggs with Chorizo, picadillo and Chicharrón Verde That’s what I had. The chicharron had too much onion, which it was weird and it didn’t really taste like chicharrón much the picadillos was lacking flavor salt or something. I can come back and try them again, but I was over hype and under delivered
I hadn’t been to Brothers Tacos in over 13 years, and I went yesterday while downtown… it just wasn’t the same. I feel like the taste has changed 😕
Meh. I don’t know why people think this is good, it was definitely crowded so it must be good, huge line but it moved fast. I ordered the Miga con Huevos but I think they should change the name to “Miga sin Huevos”, there’s very little eggs and a whole lot of soggy tortilla chips. It tasted good though.
Breakfast is great but lunch was very subpar. The fajita tacos were pretty much just stewed beef. It didn’t have the crisp of fajita taco beef. There was pretty good flavor on the meat but it was not what I expected or I will try again. Honestly, I have never seen fajita taco meat like that. Salsas are good though. And it’s nice that they don’t nickel and dime you over them.
Food: The tacos were average. I got the spicy fajita tacos that were definitely super spicy however it lacked on the seasoning. However, there was nothing memorable that would have me look forward to future visits Service: The ladies in the serving line were NOT welcoming or courteous at all. They seemed very dismissive & not attentive when asked about certain tacos, tamales, etc. The serving experience should be focused on the satisfying the customers and being friendly and they were neither. The cashier was the only pleasant and helpful employee that I encountered. Atmosphere: Downtown Houston area, small interior
Kind of overrated if I'm being honest, the food is not bad but it's nothing crazy that's out of this world. The beans could use some work they're too watery for tacos.
Kind of overrated if I'm being honest, the food is not bad but it's nothing crazy that's out of this world. The beans could use some work they're too watery for tacos.
Long lines, which isn't too bad experience wise but it does come to mind when wanting to visit, parking will sometimes be hard to get. Today I went in and ordered 2 barbacua tacos and the tortillas weren't cooked all the way and the meat was filled with Fat and Grease super disgusting 10/10 do not reccomend, I also ordered 2 Chorizo tacos and the tortillas weren't cooked all the way on those either, not a bad option to get but their tacos are Decent they wont blow you away theyre bland even with salsa its just eh
The tacos are ok, they use very low quality meats which is expected for a place like this. The food is cheap. They have a lot of selection for taco filling, but this place looks and smells very unsanitary, they have a sink in the corner to wash your hands however they have NO RUNNING HOT WATER in it, which makes me wonder if they have hot running water where they’re making the food. Another thing I noticed is how the gentlemen that are in the back I assume cooking, are EATING at the same time! The space behind the counter is very limited and to have 6-9 people behind it while the gentlemen from the back are also getting food from there is not appealing. The smell was horrible, it smells like sewer water or like someone used the restroom, definitely not something you want to smell while you eat. I can see how this place is popular tho is cheap and fast even if the line is really long. My main concern is no running hot water. Eat at your own risk.
Honestly pretty mid. Tortillas dont taste or chew like anything I couldn't get in the grocery store, and the gound beef, chorizo potato, chorizo & egg, and sausage and peppers were all pretty average. Chorizo potato was also mushy
I've been before but don't really remember. This time I got 2 fajita tacos with beans, wanted potatoes but they rush u so bad because they stay with a long line she didnt even hear me. It was not at all good, idk what kind of fajita it was but not what im use to. Probably won't rush to go back
Wanted to finally try their breakfast tacos, for a while. The line moved quickly, but I was disappointed in the taste. The taco was normal but was not to my taste. I added beans, which after I saw it looked like it was just the juice of beans. It made my tacos watery. Again my opinion. All I have to say, I tried it!
Tacos were ok. Just ok. The tortillas were fresh but got soggy quick. Some of the meats didn’t look too appetizing. There was a huge line which we assumed meant the food was bomb but we quickly realized that was not the case. Maybe we went on a bad day but it was kind of disappointing.
Rude and not many going options ........................................................................ waiting in the the line is not worth it at all.

Unsanitary Conditions, I got sick and throwing up. I saw Roaches, ants and a Rat running out of the Kitchen. Tacos are OverPriced and the Taco Food Portions are Too Small. Witnessed the assembly line women serving not washing their hands and others not changing their gloves. I don’t recommend this restaurant for the dirty conditions. The Restaurant is infested with Roaches, ants and Spiders, and smells horrible
If you eat here , i'm convinced you have no taste buds. Coming in, I told them it was my first time here.I felt rushed, no line behind me at the time asked meats that they had worst place to get tacos.
These are the worst tacos I’ve had. The meat is all precooked and fajita isn’t really fajita, it’s more like ground meat. There’s two tacos stand across the street that serve authentic Mexican tacos. The only reason they thrive in this area is because they have somewhere to sit down inside. Unfortunately besides those other two taco stands I mentioned, there isn’t really any REAL taco stands in the area.
No matter when you go, they never have menudo. If you sell it only on the weekends, make sure you have enough to last at least half the day. I go earlier each time and they are always out.
Disgusting When I first walked in I really enjoyed the vibe and the decor, especially how the setup of the Assembly line was as well the place gave me this feel that many generations grew up on this. If so I'm sorry that had to suffer. The pastor was a grease ball, meat chewy and edible at least. The lengua. Whoever cooked that needs to be taught better, tongue needs to be cooked for a great amount of time because it's tough meat but this place undercooked it also flavorless. One bite of that rubber meat went straight to the garbage. The Chicharrón I have never had like that, as it was Just the pork grinds left in some liquid until Its soft. No meat on it. I thought adding beans would help as I saw them offering that. I know I can find better places in Houston for tacos and avoid this at all cost.
I went to Two Brothers Tacos this morning and witnessed something truly disappointing. It was below freezing, and a homeless man with only one dollar asked if I could buy him food. I will never deny anyone food, especially in those conditions. While we waited in line, he was calm, respectful, and grateful. When we reached the counter, I told the cashier I would like to buy him tacos. The first thing she said was that she could, but that he needed to go outside because “he smells.” I was standing right next to him — he did not smell bad and was not rude to anyone. I told her, “He’s a human being, and it’s cold outside.” Instead of showing any compassion, she then claimed he was rude, which was simply untrue. The only rude and inappropriate behavior I witnessed came from the employee. In a time where discrimination against Hispanic and Black communities is already a serious issue, this interaction was deeply disturbing — especially coming from a Hispanic-owned business. Because of this experience, I will not be returning. I spend good money supporting businesses, and I expect basic human decency in return. Shame on you, Two Brothers Tacos.
