This cake shop is amazing! I placed an order just one day in advance, and they had the cake ready the next day — super efficient. There was a small miscommunication where they initially quoted $45, but the final cake was actually an 8-serving cake worth $60. They still only charged me $45, which shows how honest and customer-focused they are. The cake was not only beautiful but also delicious. I’ll definitely come back again!

That urge to checkout coffee shops once you landed in the new city! This is one of the top rated cafe for ambiance and pastries. It didn’t disappoint me one bit. There are enough tables inside and outside the cafe & the ambiance is great, clean with a lot of natural light coming in that beautiful Saturday morning! Pastries looked great & tempting. I ended up getting an almond croissant and Mocha latte. Loved every bit of it. Croissants were fresh & flaky :-)

Frederick, the owner and the most incredible baker, pours his heart into everything he creates — you can taste it in every bite. Their tuna sandwich deserves a special shoutout — it’s honestly the best I’ve ever had! Perfectly balanced, fresh, and flavorful — every time I visit, I can’t resist ordering it. If you’re looking for authentic French pastries, fresh bread, and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere, Mademoiselle Louise is the place to be. Highly recommend!

Nice little boulangerie in downtown. As with everything downtown expect to pay for parking, but it’s worth it. The chicken and goat cheese quiches were both excellent. The canale was also very good, but my favorite was probably the chocolate almond croissant. It had just the right amount of flakiness. Black coffee was also excellent.

This is one of my favorite cafes in downtown Houston. The vibe is incredible,the food is authentic, and the coffee is rich. This spot is definitely worth checking out if you’re into French cafes.

Gorgeous downtown cafe with great prices and baked goods! I loved the lemon tart and the croissant. I would highly recommend coming and sitting down with some coffee to enjoy the lovely atmosphere. Customer service is fast and very helpful in helping me decide what I was going to get. The coffee is just okay, not up to par, but it was not bad.

Wonderful little French bakery with polite quick service and delicious pastries. We had the cheese quiche, strawberry tart, ham and Brie baguette and pistachio croissant. All were excellent though the wash on the croissant made it feel a bit sticky it did not detract from the flavor.

My wife had been interested in this place for a while and I decided to come here on a Sunday when there is free parking and when downtown might be easier to navigate. Got some croissants, a quiche, and a pastry that was like chocolate mousse. Staffers were nice and helpful. Atmosphere was pleasant. Everything was delicious. Definitely want to come back again.

Wow! This was the best most authentic French pastry and breakfast place I’ve been to outside of France. The owner’s used to own a bakery in France and it shows. The food was delicious, we tried a variety of everything from croissants to danishes, quiches to tarts. The cappuccino was phenomenal and the presentation of everything was so beautiful! The atmosphere even felt like a little French cafe. I can’t wait to go back here!

Great place for a quick lunch and fill my coffee addiction. Great customer service, but can have some improvement on the speed. Good coffee around main st., i can taste the coffee rather than sbux. Good bakery, they made them in house. Clean place. We will come back for sure

I wanted to love everything about this cute little place but I have mixed feelings. The device was excellent and very friendly. The setting was perfect for enjoying a coffee and snack with a friend or have some quiet time alone. The breads and pastry are so tasty! Where they lost me was the quiche I tried today. I got the veggie one and it had what seemed to be a frozen mixed veg in it. I have never wanted corn, carrots and garbanzo beans in my quiche. There were also an assortment or green beans and peas and a whole bunch of miscellaneous veg, the flavor was weird. I had to pick most of it out and eat what was left, and I am not picky.

It’s located in the heart of Houston downtown area on a weekend morning we were able to grab a spot pretty quickly. It does have some tables pretty picturesque seating and decor. The service is amazing the server was attentive and very friendly. Food was definitely a big disappointment the canelle was undercooked inside for $3 tag you don’t want lump of dough inside. The quiches were okay not soo good. The kouign Amann had the taste but shape was kind of awkward. The coffee was very good something on a brighter side.

I walked in excited to finally try this bakery and use a $50 gift card that was never marked as expired. Instead, I was told by the owner that they couldn’t accept it because they changed their computer system. That is not the customer’s problem. A business changing systems does not erase their financial responsibility. A gift card is prepaid money. Refusing to honor it is simply bad business and poor ethics. No apology. No solution. No effort to help. Just a flat “we can’t accept it.” Plenty of great bakeries in Houston that actually respect their customers. Unfortunately, this won’t be one I return to or recommend.

The service was slow and the lady had to ask us twice what we wanted because she took our order without writing anything down. By the time we got to the checkout, she still had the order wrong. I asked her to warm up the pastries and she said “we can only warm it up how we feel comfortable.” The quiche and croissant were cold. The pastries were okay. The Pain Au Chocolat only had one row of chocolate so it was lacking. Flan was great though. The main reason I will not be going back…. They have a viewing window where you can see pastries being made and so we were watching the process. As we were watching, the person pressing the butter takes out their phone, uses it with their gloves on, and continues to contaminate the butter. 🤢 Thank goodness this was at the end of the visit because we would NOT have eaten here.
