Luis was phenomenal, very knowledgeable about the menu and overall great charisma. He made the experience great for my birthday and great recommendations. I had the honey truffle chicken and my partner had the chicken Parmesan. Both were amazing. The pasta with his dish was great the spicy sauce but it wasn’t spicy at all. The chicken was flavorful for both dishes. Will be back again for the honey truffle chicken and adding that pasta as a side! The lobster escargot was great too as an appetizer. Will be back to try the lobster Mac and cheese. Plate cleared! Utensil placement, excellent.

food was great! the steak pizza they have wasn't the best, it's a cool concept but i wouldn't order again. the cauliflower was great though!! as well as the honey truffle chicken, i'll be back for that. the creamed spinach was insane. 10/10. service is sweet as well, really cool atmosphere, felt like we were stepping into a old Hollywood setting at first. my only complaint is that it was very very loud!! the tables are quite close to one another, way too close for comfort but i get it, they want to fit as many people in as they can.

Absolutely amazing experience! Our server Luis was so welcoming the moment we sat down. The spicy tuna rice was amazing. Followed up by the spicy rigatoni and an amazing ribeye! Went here for my birthday and anniversary and it was great ! The food was perfect and came out very fast. The atmosphere was vibrant and stylish, with the perfect balance of energy and comfort. Our server, Jace, made the night even better. He was incredibly friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. He checked on us at all the right times, gave great recommendations, and made sure everything was perfect throughout the meal. His service honestly took the experience to the next level. Definitely recommend.

I came here for my birthday dinner and our waiter, Vince, made the night absolutely perfect! He was professional, friendly, and charismatic — you could tell he really knew his stuff and genuinely wanted me to have the best experience possible. His food recommendations were spot-on: the spicy caesar salad, spicy rigatoni, Vin Scully fries, and the dry-aged Delmonico steak were all cooked to perfection and incredibly delicious. Vince went above and beyond, even surprising me with a fun birthday sparkler in my slice of cake! The ambience of the restaurant was beautiful, and Vince truly made us feel special from start to finish. He delivered 10/10 service, and when I come back, I’ll definitely be asking for him again. Highly recommend! 🎉

Drake’s Hollywood in Houston is definitely a vibe! From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels upscale and glamorous with its dim lighting, red leather booths, and Old Hollywood décor. It’s the perfect spot for a birthday dinner or night out with friends. The food is flavorful — the lobster pasta and steak were cooked perfectly — and the drinks were just as impressive. The service was friendly, though a little slow once it got crowded, but the staff made sure we were taken care of. The music and energy gave it that “see and be seen” feel without being over the top. Overall, Drake’s Hollywood is a great mix of style, flavor, and fun — definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for a classy dinner spot in Houston.

Amazing addition to the extensive Houston restaurant scene. The interior speaks for itself! The vibe conveys Hollywood glamour and glitz. The drinks are strong! We arrived late due to a thunderstorm & managed to get seated immediately upon arrival to our reserved table. We ordered QUITE a bit on the menu & loved every dish. I highly suggest ordering their Lobster Mac & Cheese. The Spicy Crispy Tuna was also great. For mains — pasta was a hit! We also enjoyed the chicken and red snapper entree.

I had an absolutely wonderful dining experience at Drakes of Hollywood. From the moment we arrived, everything was exceptional. Our server, Charlie, went above and beyond with fantastic service—attentive, friendly, and perfectly timed. He made us feel truly cared for without ever being intrusive. The food was simply exquisite, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. Combined with the warm atmosphere, it made for a truly lovely evening. I would highly recommend Drakes of Hollywood, especially if you’re lucky enough to be seated in Charlie’s section!

Oh my goodness I wish I’d visited this restaurant sooner. The atmosphere, the ambiance was definitely giving grown and sexy! I was originally going to order one of their signature salads but the bartender suggest their Honey Truffle Chicken and I’m so glad. This meal was sooooooo flavorful! I can’t wait to remake it at home. I also had Jumbo shrimp cocktail as an appetizer. In addition, I ordered 2 drinks. The drinks could be a little more stronger but overall, I will return.

Not terrible but i’ve had/been to better. The only reason i’d return is for my waitress Kayleigh, she was nothing but extraordinary! pretty with a positive attitude throughout our entire dining experience. This is definitely one of those overhyped aesthetic places, my steak was a 8/10, Branzino was a 7/10 but the lobster mac and cheese was actually pretty good, I don’t know why I always intended on getting it when normally it makes me sick but this go around I definitely enjoyed it. You can skip out on the drinks my french 76 was tasty but not tipsy. Not impressed.

I really wanted to like this place. It’s right across from the new Docs jazz club and would be a great place to have happy hour before seeing a show. Bartenders were friendly. Lobster escargot dish was interesting and yummy. And the room/decor is really cool. Main problem is the pricing. Happy hour included three different vodka martinis, but no gin martinis and no whiskey drinks. No problem, I’ll get a Manhattan off happy hour. Got a $24 makers mark 46 (they don’t have a “well” bourbon) with a $4 up charge to make it a Manhattan. A very average Manhattan. One more try a gin martini with Tanqueray 10, had to ask her not to shake it. $20 for the Tanqueray, and four dollar up charge to make it a martini. Did not serve it in a chilled glass. I want to love this place, but I can get a much better cocktail down the street at Anvil at half the price. Lots of regulars at the bar, drinking shaken vodka martinis and espresso martinis, so if that’s your crowd, you will love it. For me, I don’t see the value nor the quality.

It was our first time dining at Drake’s Hollywood, specifically for Valentine’s Day. We were sat in a very close booth which was fine but not the greatest for conversation (you were in everyone’s conversation). When we were sat we were told we would only have 90 minutes. As a seemingly higher end restaurant, this was incredibly tacky to say before being fully seated. It created a rushed and cheap feel to the entire experience. I understand it’s a very big night for the restaurant industry but this commentary is cheap and declines the experience as if we were on a constraint or to tell us “do not enough yourself for too long”. This alone was enough to not return. The food overall was good. The lobster escargot was flavorful and worth getting.The Ozzy pizza with filet had a strong onion and truffle flavor, thin and crispy, I did wish it had a more substantial crust because it was messy and crumbly to eat. The crab cake came out cold, we asked for it to be heated or remade, it was and it was delicious. It was packed with crab meat and was worth the price point. Now onto dessert- we got the chocolate silk pie and it arrived with a hair- ew! Thankfully before we ate it, we saw it and alerted the server and they sent out a new one (hopefully it wasn’t the same one). Because we were sat so close to our neighbors we got to try the 26 layer strawberry cake- we really wanted to get this, but we were advised not to because it is very dry. Our neighbors, however, decided to continue to order it. As we got talking with our neighbors, they decided to let us share some of their cake and we shared our pie. The cake was in fact dry, but very impressive looking. I understand the structural integrity that goes into making a cake that large, but considering how dense and dry it was, I would skip on it for $26. Overall it was an okay experience, the food went made correctly was good, but the service vibe with the comment was unprofessional and definitely set the tone. I would have thought for the hair and cold crab cake that they would have offered us the dessert complementary, but did not. The restaurant is visually nice with decent tasting food, but I wished the professionalism standard was higher.

I visited Drake Hollywood shortly after it opened, back when there was a lot of hype online calling it one of the best restaurants in the city. I paid for my meal and ordered based on the server’s recommendations to make sure I gave it a fair shot. The atmosphere and decor were great definitely a nice-looking space and a place that feels like it should be a solid date spot. Unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to the expectations. Service was slow despite the restaurant being mostly empty, and while we ordered multiple recommended dishes including the dynamite cauliflower, salads, dry-aged Delmonico, filet classique, lobster mac and cheese, and mashed potatoes not a single dish was finished, including the steaks. The total came out to just over $300 after tip, which made the overall experience especially disappointing given the quality. At the time, I rated it a 6/10 and felt it was better suited for drinks rather than a full dinner. Nearly two years later, I still stand by that assessment. After hearing about Drake's and seeing the many posts on social media, I finally decided to take my girlfriend on a birthday dinner. Overall, the experience was pleasant with some minor issues. The ambiance is great, but some parts are a bit crowded. I made a reservation for two and was hoping that the table would be a bit more private. However, I was seated in sort of a long booth, very close to others, which is a minor issue, nothing serious. They also ask for your card on file and charge a $35 fee for person if you do not show up. This is very understandable however I just wished their was more space. Despite that, we started off by sharing a side of lobster mac and cheese, which was very good. The noodles were a spiral noodle and had some bite to them and came in a creamy, very flavorful cheese sauce. The lobster tasted tender in a good way and overall came out great. The waiter in general was a bit more pushy with getting us to purchase more rather than explaining the menu and making sure we felt comfortable. The worst part of the experience that we had was while giving us a new plates after eating the Mac, my girlfriend had touched and found a piece of gum stuck under her plate. From a professional high establishment, I do understand mistakes happen, and people can be inconsiderate to do something like this. However I would have at least appreciated my waiter paying more attention to it as when I brought this issue up to him, I just got a very soft apology, I would have at least appreciated a compensation of at least the cheapest item I ordered. My girlfriend wanted the spicy rigatoni pasta, which is called The Pasta Zaza. I told the waiter that she would want to add Italian sausage to it, and he still looked at my girlfriend and asked her if she wanted to add any other proteins, completely ignoring me until I further mentioned again what she had wanted. The pasta was very flavorful, had a great creamy, spicy sauce that actually had spice, and the Italian sausage was very flavorful. The noodles were cooked perfectly. I myself, ordered The pizza “hot papi” which came with pepperoni, onions, jalapenos, and Mike's hot honey. The pizza, however, wasn't fully cut, and it was a bit difficult for me to get a proper slice. I also noticed that almost every bite I had, the cheese was falling off of the dough completely, which left me with bread and cheese that I had to put on top of each slice. The flavors were great however. I'm not big into grilled onions, but the onions were very flavorful. The jalapenos were not spicy, and the honey provided a nice spicy sweetness towards the savory cheese. We then ordered a 24-layer strawberry cake, which was pretty good, a bit on the drier side, and a little spongy, but definitely less sweet than most cakes, which is a positive for people who don't necessarily like an overly sweet cake. The strawberry syrup was very good. We took the rest of our food to go. However, the to-go containers were very small, and for a place like this, I would have hoped they would at least be a little bit bigger. We also ordered one drink called the Mexican, which was good and didn’t skimp on the alcohol. Overall, my experience was a bit underwhelming, the food was good and tastes fresh and of quality but overhyped a bit. I would try it again in hopes to have a better experience.

Starting off with the valet, they don’t open your door, which is wild to me. Never been to a restaurant that has valet and doesn’t open your door? It’s $10 for the back parking lot and $20 for the front parking lot Walking in was pleasant, beautiful ambiance. We were greeted by Coleman who wasn’t our server, but should have been. He was very kind to introduce himself to us incase our server was busy-which she was unfortunately. Our server was Olivia. She was good, but she was occupied with other tables not in our section. We found ourselves asking Coleman for things we needed. He was exceptional. We even heard the specials of the night at another table from Coleman. We ordered quite a few things knowing we would take a lot of it home. We got the bleu cheese martinis, spicy Caesar salad, ribeye, zaza pasta without the sausage, and jumbo crab cake. FYI you can order tap water if you don’t want to select from the $9 “still or sparkling” water. The red chairs are hard as rock. Thankfully I sat in the booth. Starting off with our favorites, the martinis, Caesar salad and zaza pasta were the stars of the show. The martinis were probably the best thing on the menu. The Caesar salad really good. I would 1000% recommend it. The crunchiness of the salad, not too drenched in the mouth-watering dressing. The zaza pasta was amazing. Spicy, but not too spicy. A great kick to it. We also asked for the fresh parm- which wasn’t offered. The sauce was extremely creamy. The crab cake was good but on the fishy end. The sauce was slightly salty, but the flavor was good.The chocolate silk pie was great as well. Super nutty flavor in the chocolate, the crust had espresso bean chunks- DELISH. Our food took a while for it to come out, and it was a Thursday. We watched the table next to us get their food before us, and they came atleast 15 mins after us. But of course, Coleman was serving that table. We also ordered a broccolini which never arrived, so that was a bummer. We had Olivia take care of that even though she didn’t realize it never came. Overall, it was a disappointing experience. Walking away with the martinis on the top of our minds with a $400 dinner tab, isn’t great.

HONEST REVIEW!! Very nice ambiance and food was okay but very overpriced for small portions. Only a couple items are worth the money. Server definitely tried to upsell but was kind. Was recommended add ons without being told the price. $30 for a small piece of chicken is insane. the bill was $300 dollars for 4 dishes, 2 small sodas, and tip. If you go make sure you are aware of how much each item that you are getting is. This place is nice for special occasions and for pictures. Overall, there are other places with better prices with food that is just as good if not better with way bigger portions. Also parking is terrible.
