Food was average. Restaurant setup and atmosphere was different. Buffer was elongated across the wall. Staff were lovely. Lunch at the buffet costed us much less than DQ lunch. These days it doesn't really make much sense to eat elsewhere than buffet for lunch, because it cost almost the same as fast food menu.

Very calm and semi quiet setting. Perfect for a quiet, good dinner. Only issue we had was finding a hair in the banana pudding. Our server was a very nice lady and was attentive. The whole vibe in the place was nice. Definitely will come back again in the future..I'll probably stay away from the pudding next time lol

East Star Chinese Buffet was a great lunch choice! Delicious food with plenty of variety, friendly and attentive service, and excellent value for the price. Everything was fresh and satisfying. Highly recommended for a casual, enjoyable meal.

This is a pretty good Buffet. They have a great selection and good atmosphere. The food was refreshed constantly so most all of it was pretty tasty. Our waitress was excellent. She deserved a big tip. She was very helpful with the child that was with us and making sure drinks for full and that we were always doing well. Only complaint I really had was the cost. It was just a little higher than I expected and since we traveled all that way didn't want to go back to one of the others.

This Restaurant has a very "Greedy" owner overcharging for "take out food" With his Scale on top of the counter. He first open Your box and see what Do You have inside. If he notices You include a few pieces of fish. He will charge a lot for Sea food. Only He can read the weight. He wont mention whats the weight like Walmart do When You buy ham. Also, He not even use a calculator to determine the price. He just do calculations in his head and then without giving You a receipt or nothing showing the amount charge He charges a high price. In my case He was charging me $20.00 for a half empty box of food to go. Also, Because He receives "Cash" He thinks He is not obligated to pay "TAXES" to the government. Because I did not get "no receipt". Even When I am a senior citizen buying food on Christmas eve. Usually I come here and never have a problem. Me and my friend had called before hand to let us know pricing she told us 12.95 with before tax, when we go to pay we notice it was 17$ and we were confused. Since I handed the server a 15$ she told me it was not enough she started being rude! stating we should have called before hand to have enough money. Which we did, then proceeded to grab our phones to make sure we paid. Money isn’t an issue it’s the principle. This experience will make me never go again!

I used to go to this place when I first moved to the area. It was great but now I just went recently. It was terrible. The cleanness is terrible people coughing, touching utensils that everyone else is touches. I did report it and they switched out every utensil, but it was just too nasty by then. Honestly, It wasn’t that good, I used to come here a lot, I stopped by for dinner with my beloved and They had almost no Dessert choices. Very few choices of main dish’s. I got severe food poisoning from the raw sushi. If I could leave 0 stars I would. I had to go to the hospital because the symptoms never got better after at home remedies. I've never had food poisoning like this ever. Nothing stays down. I wish they could compensate my sister because she treated me to this restaurant.

Avoid at all costs. Save your money 💰 go somewhere else. Came with my kid. They told her a price. Now I remember why I haven't been here in years. Crawfish is frozen and rotten. Food barely take anything out for people to eat. That's why it's 2/3 empty. Didn't sit well.

Don’t bother and drive a bit further. We were hungry so we decided to stop. The selection was very limited for a buffet. No coconut shrimp or even lo mein and this was the dinner buffet! The only thing I was able to eat was the rice, and that was after I saturated it with soy sauce.

After over 20 years, this will be the last time I eat at this restaurant. The food is just getting to be too low quality. The crabs are a very poor quality. When you break them, to eat them, they smell like ammonia. This means the crab was dead before it was cooked and the potential of giving you an illness is very high. The waitress has become very outspoken. She tells you, you ate so much you will not have to eat supper and that you're very fat. She makes everyone in your party feel like they need to eat one plate and get out of there. Then, she stands there and counts the tip right at the table and looks at you like "is that all?" This was supposed to be a New Year celebration meal at a restaurant that my Granddaughter chose because, of all the past good memories. Tonight's experience erased all of them. I left the restaurant fat, hungry and sad. Eat here at your own risk.

We are regular customers and have visited Chinese Buffet – East Star many times. Today, as usual, I went to the buffet area and took one of my favorite items — grilled oysters with cheese (I’m not sure of the exact name). Unfortunately, I bit into one oyster that was clearly spoiled and rotten. The smell was extremely strong and unpleasant, and I immediately felt nauseous. Even after drinking a lot of water, the taste and smell stayed in my mouth, and I could not eat anything else. I calmly informed the manager about the issue. However, instead of an apology or concern, I was told that this was “out of our control” and was advised to go get another dish. At that point, I was already feeling sick and had no appetite. When I said I didn’t want to eat anymore, I was then asked if I wanted the check. I paid the bill despite having only eaten a few pieces of sushi and left very disappointed. Serving spoiled food and responding this way is unacceptable. I will not be returning.

She stood over us and watched us sign … we went to the restaurant on our way out. And the worker who was cleaning said we can use it. But then He Tried STAYING in there. When he finally walked out. Then he kept coming in and staring at us. It was super creepy … this place needs new management because they did nothing but make up excuses. This was our first time here and we would not be returning and would not recommend to friends or family EVER

This place is a joke for 3 reasons 1.) the waitress was rude and forcing me and my friends to eat faster and hurry up. 2.) the cleaners for the women’s restroom was a creep. When we were going in there to use the bathroom the man was trying to stay in there with us and when we told him to leave he stuck the trash can to keep the door open and stayed near the door. I pushed the door closed. While we were in there he kept trying to get in there while people were using the bathroom. We told the manager and she just made up an excuse for him. 3.) I did not have enough on my card to pay for my bill so I also put cash on the check and told the waitress that she then came back and told me my card declined when I asked what happened to the 2 dollars she acted like I did not give her the cash I had to ask 3 times until she pulled the 2 dollars out of her pocket and said “oh i thought this was a tip” even though i specifically told her it was for the bill when I tried to tell her manager, she walked up behind her, and I felt like I couldn’t talk to her manager alone cause she wouldn’t leave and then she yelled at me to sign the check and got mad that I didn’t put a tip. I feel like this place deserves zero stars because they were forceful. They were lying and they were just creepy and I don’t feel like this place should be ate at can I just say wow worst experience of my life.

The food was decent. The guest and employees were mixing the serving utensils. In which is cross contamination especially if someone is allergic to seafood. They gave me a written receipt and when we left. They added someone else's bill onto ours. The total for my aunt was 130 plus they added on additional 165. The guy at the front tried to make my aunt pay. The server that took our money and gave us our receipts said nothing. Atmosphere was not welcoming at all. I will not dine here again!

The waitress was nice but this was absolutely repulsive there was a guy that the staff let walk around with the snotty tissue in his hand, wiping his nose that had snot dripping out,while touching all the food utensils and then whenever he left they said goodbye my friend. I understand not wanting to offend somebody if they're your friend but when you're putting everyone's health at risk that should be an exception. Friend of not that sort of thing should not be allowed. I watched a staff member change out some of the utensils, he used the clean utensils to pick up the handles of the old utensils where everybody had put their hands on it and then stuck it in the food. I feel like you're going to pick up dysentery eating here.
