The drinks are amazing (try the tamarindo beverage the tamarindo juice is fresh made in house and the Mexican candy shot one of the best I’ve had in Houston) the fries are amazing. This place is great. I was entirely too hungry and tipsy to get pics. But the tacos al pastor were AWESOME. Bit of a non traditional fusion thing happening but it 100% worked. We finally went, and regret taking so long considering we live in the neighborhood. All of the staff is so friendly. The drinks are great! The two of us split a burger and the tamarind wings. Both were delicious! We will definitely be back for sure.

Seriously a diamond in the rough. I came here a few weeks ago for drinks and promised the bartender I would come back for the food... I have to say I have been disappointed in the quality of fare in Houston over the past few years. Everything has become fast food but for Gagootz. I asked for a jalapeño marg and it was subtle yet satisfying. For dinner I had the pastor tacos. I don't always like pineapple yet theirs was grilled perfectly. I'm relieved that a unique and delicious fare has returned to the heights!

Hands down the best part was the bartender Eduardo. Thank you so much for making mine and my husband’s experience the best. Will definitely order the Adiós Cabrón and Old Fashioned because of you next time. We hope to see you again soon Eduardo!

Place is decent with good bands and food and drinks at decent prices. Only reason for this low review is that their AC is undersized for the amount of people inside so it's really hot. Last three times I was there, it was so uncomfortable and i was sweating in my seat. People were fanning themselves. Once the band left, so did everyone else, including us. Wont be going back anytime soon. SO SAD

well i was excited to get food here and even brought friends because its the best wings in town and when I got there it was closed at 8PM even though it said open online. It was frustrating and we had to eat somewhere else. Please update so people know when it’s actually open! Smh.

We planned to come here tonight for steak and lobster that they advertised. We arrived at 6:15 and they were closed because they were "cleaning" according to the security guard. We waited until 7:15 before finally leaving. Where were they still cleaning 3 hours after they were supposed to open. Totally disrespectful to their patrons. Do not go here. We came across the street to Monkeys Tail. They were open and the steak was phenomenal. Don't waste your time here....walk across the street to Monkeys Tail and you'll actually get food!

bartender with the money-piece hair was extremely rude. I paid my tab but she walked away without finishing the transaction and left me waiting while she served her friends. I tipped $40 because the bartender who actually made the drinks did a great job. When we asked if the transaction was complete she gave us an attitude. Very disappointing service.
