I am GAZOOT for Gagootz!! I had the distinct pleasure of going to this down-to-earth, relaxing, Italian and Mexican restaurant/bar recently. What a find! On my first visit, I got to meet Eduardo (the restaurant owner and manager) where I got to learn about his family lineage of Italians who have a proven track record of running a successful Italian restaurant business in Katy for over the past 30+ years. Eduardo is a professional who takes pride in everything that he sets out to do. He is courteous and unmistakably thoughtful/kind. He is also quite the conversationalist. There is no doubt that Eduardo is creating something very special at Gagootz! If you happen to be looking for an eclectic and enjoyable dining/drink spot, look no further than Gagootz. The interior decor is super interesting! A few examples are a vintage European painting, a Frida Kahlo masterpiece, an actual Julius Caesar statue head, and even an old photograph and quote on the wall from Al Capone himself! Gagootz will CERTAINLY be giving the Monkey’s Tail (located just kitty corner across the street on Fulton St.) a run for its money. Aside from the outstanding customer service, I cannot emphasize enough how amazing the food quality is here. The items that Eduardo and his chef prepare in their kitchen is magical (no kidding!). This is one of the top reasons that I feel makes Gagootz a standout in this part of Houston. In addition to a diverse food menu, Gagootz also offers an extensive drink menu that ensures that there will always be something for everyone. Oh, and for those who have a slightly more spicy taste palette in the food department? I welcome you to Gagootz! Although the place is currently in its infancy, developments and improvements are quickly being made! The addition of a new TV makes catching sports affairs an easy task. An added bonus is that there is both indoor and outdoor seating. And lastly, the place is kid friendly, so parents, what are you waiting for!? If after visiting Eduardo and his staff, should you feel inclined to do so, be sure to leave a review either on Google or Yelp to help Eduardo’s business reach the masses that it deserves. For now, Gagootz is a hidden gem, but I think that that will change soon thanks to word of mouth. Look no further everyone… RUN (don’t walk) to Gagootz now! You can thank me later. ;)

Went on Wednesday for their free BBQ night and loved it! We saw their Instagram post about having free BBQ so that's what brought us in and it was an amazing experience. The owner Eduardo and the other staff were super kind and welcoming and the BBQ and drinks were awesome! We're super excited to return!

Food truck on Friday night is delicious. Bar tender is professional and beer is cold. Great music and atmosphere - both indoor and outdoor. This was our second visit and we plan to return!

We ❤️ this place. Food and drinks are delicious! An unassuming place. Although the music is loud, just ignore it and enjoy your drinks and food. It's a Mexican dive bar. Pictures? The lighting is reddish, so you won't get those true photos of the drinks and food.

Gotten food outside at the taco truck. . I dk of any taco truck that put potato salad with quesadillas unless they ran out of rice or beans. Food was surprisingly good

We planned to come here tonight for steak and lobster that they advertised. We arrived at 6:15 and they were closed because they were "cleaning" according to the security guard. We waited until 7:15 before finally leaving. Where were they still cleaning 3 hours after they were supposed to open. Totally disrespectful to their patrons. Do not go here. We came across the street to Monkeys Tail. They were open and the steak was phenomenal. Don't waste your time here....walk across the street to Monkeys Tail and you'll actually get food!

bartender with the money-piece hair was extremely rude. I paid my tab but she walked away without finishing the transaction and left me waiting while she served her friends. I tipped $40 because the bartender who actually made the drinks did a great job. When we asked if the transaction was complete she gave us an attitude. Very disappointing service.
