Love this bar! The atmosphere, decorations, and people are so fun. It's the perfect escape and an easy place for the time to slip (or sip!?) away with friends. The bartenders are super knowledgeable and friendly and the drink menu has something for everyone. If you don't see something you like they can make you something off menu too (including excellent mocktails for anyone who might not want alcohol). I've never been a big bar person but this is a place I visit regularly and really enjoy. The only downside is parking in their lot is a little limited but there is street parking in the adjacent neighborhood or you can always Uber if you want to get schwifty 😅

The cocktail menu is stocked with all the tiki bar classics prepared and presented beautifully and perfectly from the mix to the garnish. The atmosphere is a classic tiki bar with no corners cut and a new surprise around every corner. What truly makes them shine, however, is the service. Our bartender, John, truly made it a top notch experience. He was well versed in all the menu cocktails and many more unique treats, but was also attentive and thoughtful. While discussing my favorite rum with a friend, he brought it out without word needing to be said and made the experience unforgettable with his professionalism and relaxed, friendly attitude. I cannot compliment this place higher, I will be back and I will bring more friends.

I've become a regular here, and the kind, friendly staff deserve all the business they can get. The interior is a classic tiki set up, and they work hard to change the theme at different times of year (all while still remaining abundantly tiki). They have a rotating menu of both time-honored tiki drinks, as well as originals; all made with care & thought. Of course, like I said earlier, it's the good people that work here which keeps me coming back again & again. Lei Low is a staple in the Heights, Houston, and tiki communities, and their reputation speaks for itself!

I had gone to Lei Low for the first time some years ago but I went back for the second and third time this past month and it was wonderful to return! We tried their holiday drinks with cinnamon which were strong and tasty and we also really enjoyed their in-house coquito. It's overall great cozy vibes in there and they have special nights such as playing themed old movies on certain days. Looking forward to returning!

Lei Low is definitely a standout in Houston’s bar scene. First off, the cocktails were excellent across the board. Bartenders were top notch professionals. Super nice folk. The vibe is lively enough to feel social, yet relaxed enough to actually enjoy conversation. Imagine if Johnny’s Gold Brick had a little brother. That’s Lei Low; and that’s a huge compliment from me. This bar is absolutely worth a visit. And another visit, and another, and another…..

Lei Low is one of the best tiki bars in the U.S. and one of our favorite bars in Houston to enjoy some drinks. During the Christmas Season it is even better! Great vibe, excellent drinks and bartenders. Doesn't look like much from the outside... go through the door and you're in tiki heaven.

A true hidden gem bar, drinks are super strong and I love the way they decorate the place. Wish the restroom would be cleaner but besides that it's a good place to hit during a night out

I’m going to admit that a few years ago I was going to check out this place, and I drove by thought it looked like a sketchy area and pivoted plans… recently I gave it a real try, and I’m so happy I did. I’m a sucker for tiki bars, but they can be hit or miss. This one was a hit The exterior doesn’t look like much, but the interior is surprisingly spacious and inviting. It’s intimately lit, but you can still see all the wonderful tropical decor. The vibe was a mix between tropical pirate bar, dive bar, but with artisanal cocktails and incredible bartenders The menu offers such a variety of tiki/tropical beverages with clever names and fun drink-ware. I was impressed that the drink menu isn’t only rum based, but instead there’s plenty twists on classic cocktails and they’re own specialty drinks The bartenders were a delight. Everyone was professional, attentive, and amazing. Each bartender was obviously skilled in handcrafting exceptional drinks, but they weren’t rude, stuffy, pretentious, or unapproachable. We actually enjoyed conversation with a few different bartenders. One even made the wrong drink for someone and swung by our section, dropped it off and said “free drink” before walking away. Another was making my drink in a shark shaped glass, asked if it was mine, then handed me a squeeze bottle of grenadine to shoot (“blood”) into the sharks mouth from a distance. This was such a fun experience The drinks were delicious (and strong), the bar was lively, the staff were outstanding, and for the experience… it was all affordable Some tips: There is overflow parking in a gravel lot across the street, but I recommend calling a ride-share as these drinks are STRONG Cheers!!

Absolute best tiki bar in Houston and been around for a long time. Drinks are always delicious and well made. The prices are reasonable, and they also offer some options for snacks and food. The bartenders are awesome and offer the right recommendations with your personal tastes. Wear your Hawaiian shirts for happy hour prices. Parking lot is small but plenty of neighborhood parking available.
