Opinions de Grimaldi’s Houston
Our waitress Katherine was absolutely phenomenal. She was very attentive and recommended the cheesecake, which was amazing!
Our waiter was pretty good. He didn't bother us every five minutes. He patiently waiting until it look like we were about done before offer a box, cup, or the bill.
I’ve been coming to grimaldi’s restaurants for years but I only recently started coming to this specific location. There aren’t any nearby where I live since I moved, so it was a decent drive to get here, but it was so worth it! Our server Isaac was attentive, funny, and so considerate. He checked in at just the right times, offered great recommendations. Our food came out tasting so perfect as well! My friend is a little clumsy and accidentally tipped over our tray of pizza, thankfully we caught it without losing any slices but the manger heard our commotion and checked in with us right away. He even offered us a new one but we didn’t need that. Still, it was incredibly thoughtful he would do that. It just showed such attention to detail and ensuring we had a wonderful night. The staff here is beyond friendly and the food is delicious! Love the prickly pear margaritas and espresso martinis. Highly recommend!!
Important family time together during the Christmas holidays. Ours was an enjoyable evening at Grimaldi’s - fresh, hot, & delicious. In this instance, we enjoy pizza and decided to visit Grimaldi’s in Houston’s City Center. We have been at this location a few times recently, with our expectations were met each time. This is a popular location. This time, our visit was made without a reservation. The restaurant was packed, but no worries, a table opened within twenty minutes. A server trainee was assigned to take our order. She was very pleasant, and confident, while explaining clearly this her first day. Great job! Her efforts were accompanied by a seasoned member of the team, whom my wife commented that he appeared to be a Josh Allen (Buffalo Bills)lookalike! I had to agree! Huge compliment! “Josh” went out of his way to make sure my beer was ice-cold. My wife and adult kids meanwhile ordered a bottle of red wine to share. My wife, preferring wine with pizza, commented the recommended wine choice was well-balanced and delicious. Both pizzas were delicious and perfectly Neapolitan. Great time! Thank-you @ “Josh” and the trainee!
I and my family love grimaldi’s so much!! We only come on the days a manager named (Stephanie) is on shift and Every time we come its always a pleasure the food is great! Customer service is excellent, and the environment is so elegant. She makes sure we are all happy and satisfied and that the servers are consistently asking us are we okay or do we need anything until our departure. Even our pickup orders were done correctly thanks to the manager (Stephanie) if you want a great experience at grimaldis ask for the manager stephanie she is very sweet and attentive to your needs, even while being busy and maintaining everyones elses happiness. If you want quality and pizza as advertised ask the staff what days do she work and be sure to speak to her when placing your dine in or to go order because she is going to listen and get it done! Even the servers on her shift are more welcoming ….. Everytime is not always perfect because they get very very busy as every restaurant does… but under the proper management supervision, we are willing to wait for our order if so because we know it will be worth it when the right manager is there!! And we understand brick oven pizza will not be done in under 10 minutes this is not your average Little Caesars pizza people to have the perfect pizza you have to let them do their job, pressure will not help your pizza come out faster💯 we usually order drinks and enjoy a talk while we wait on our pizzas thats if we have to wait long and thats okay patience is the key i know we will have our pizza done how we want before we leave out of the door!!
Brandon Guzman is the General Manager and words can’t describe how much I appreciate his professionalism and dedication to this establishment. He really goes above and beyond for his customers. Emily made me a Brooklyn Rum Punch and it was as excellent as her service! Cliente coming in, please be kind to your servers and tip them well. They work so hard. I’ve been coming to City Centre for years and I always have a good time.
My first time visiting Grimaldis pizza, came in from out of town with my daughter. I have to say i was blown away by the friendly atmosphere and cleanliness as soon as I walked in I was greeted immediately and seated. My waitress Jadyn was exceptional her attentiveness and prompt service made our experience that much better. We shared a ceaser salad and a brusutto appetizer that was recommended by her it was delicious not to mention our pizza I would and have recommended this location to many friends and family as a must stop destination .
Food is great in this shop. The only thing is: they always busy and make you wait for like 15-20 min, every time your order for pick up. Also they are a little bit expensive, I spent $80 on two large pizzas.
This was my first time visiting, and I came with friends to celebrate a party. The reservation process was honestly a bit frustrating. I called the day before to reserve a table for six, then called again on the day of to increase the guest count—but it seems the hostess either forgot or never noted it. I ended up arriving nearly an hour early just to secure a table, which was not ideal. Service was fair, although a bit slow for my taste. That said, our server was very handsome, and that definitely softened the blow. Now, the food? Delicious! I had a pizza that I wish came with more spinach, but it was still really good. Surprisingly, the Caesar salad stole the show—fresh, crisp, and super flavorful. Highly recommend that. The drinks were okay; my Old Fashioned was served with ice cubes instead of a proper ice block, which diluted the whiskey faster than I’d like. Will I be back? Probably not, but overall I’d give it a solid 7/10. Great for a one-time experience, especially if you’re with a good-looking server and good company. 😉
Came here for a Sunday family dinner and when we got there we sat down quickly but we did wait for someone to acknowledge us. When I brought this up to the hostess she immediately got someone and they came, the server apologized and was very attentive after that. The drinks and appetizers came out quick, the pizza did take a bit but not super long when it came out it was fresh and delicious. We did enjoy everything.
We love to come here after going to The Escape room next door. The pizza is delicious and hot. It is a fun family atmosphere and a traditional Italian type restaurant. Brick oven pizza is just a different taste. We love the BBQ chicken pizza and tried a build your own with white sauce and pesto. The bruschetta was great too. A cannoli for dessert topped off the meal. The leftover pizza will be delicious for breakfast. If you are looking for a great pizza place, give this place a try.
Pizza was good. Not great but maybe I just had high expectations as I was told this pizza would be amazing. Service was great although our waiter was rushing a bit. You barely finished speaking and he was already leaving your table. He was still really cool and nice. It's still a good place for pizza. I was Lucky enough to find parking right in front without having to pay valet. Not entirely sure where parking is if you do not want to pay valet. Pumpkin cheesecake was delicious though and the place looks really nice and welcoming.
This is a classic for all family’s and teens in Houston. The restaurant is spacious and well decorated making it perfect for birthdays or other celebrations. The waiters are busy so don’t expect world class service, but they were kind and brought our food out promptly. The pizza is, as always, delicious with a fired crust and a very fresh, raw tomato sauce. The unexpected star of the night were the bar-made lemonades which were SO fresh and smooth, perfect after the excruciating Houston weather lately. The place is right next to the Escape Game company so it’s perfect for a night out on the town. Beware coming here on Friday nights in fall and spring, this place is very popular for homecoming and prom groups.
Beautiful NYC-themed restaurant with nice large mirrors. The pizza tasted excellent and was the highlight of the visit. We were celebrating a birthday. Table of 9. Service was spotty despite being a Thursday evening and after the dinner hours. After waiting for a while, our host got up and asked for a refill at the counter. When service did finally arrive with service for the rest of the table, the server accidently lost balance and DRENCHED (about 3-5 full glasses) my daughter, myself, the table and our pizzas in soda and water. As best as we could, we held our tongues and were quick to forgive but we were simply embarrassed and speechless. Given the degree of the spill, it pretty much brought our event to an absolute end. We understand everybody has an off-day and we don't usually expect refunds or discounts when we choose to not like an experience or food at an establishment, but if there was ever a time when management should've given us all a reason to give Grimaldi's Pizzeria a second chance, or at least a formal apology, this was it. We had an entire pie in leftovers that we couldn't even take because it was soaked in soda. And, yet we were still offered to-go boxes! Overall: tasty gourmet pizza, primo location, beautiful decor with tone deaf fast food level, reactive service and little to no accountability to higher-end hospitality. In other words, "the belt doesn't match the shoes"! But like ol' Blue Eyes says,"That's Life!"
Been a long time fan of Grimaldi's especially their white pizza with garlic, sausage, mushrooms and onion. We always order extra sausage and mushrooms. Still good but last couple of times just not the same. Seems like not enough garlic or spices and still skimpy on the extra toppings.
I found this restaurant to be just ok. Friends raved about it. Though I felt it was disappointing rather than impressive. The service was no problem. Friendly and fast. The restaurant is well located and designed. The food was the let down for me. The presentation made the food look desirable. The flavors were just so so. Our pizza was cold and far from delicious. I wouldn't revisit. There are way too many amazing pizza eateries in Houston to settle for so so at this restaurant.
Our party of eight waited longer than the hostesses suggested, uncomfortably because there is no waiting area, while watching an eight-top go unused the entire time. One of the hostesses had serious pick-me energy, wearing sunglasses and a champagne purse the entire time she wandered around not being helpful. We finally gave up and went elsewhere. Too bad because The Woodlands location is great.
This was my first time visiting this location. The service was just okay — our waiter wasn’t very attentive, and we had to call out to get his attention while he chatted with other staff. The pizza was decent but lacked flavor — good, but not great.
Don't bother with reservations. They won't honor them. I made mine two weeks ahead just to call and find out they lost it. I made a second one for a specific area and number of people. They even called three times to confirm. Day of, they called to confirm and I did. Showtime! We show up first and the table is not where promised, jammed next another party of 45. The topper was they made everybody's pizza except for the birthday person's. The other party left, so pretty empty, it took well over twenty five minutes for a small pizza. Everyone else finished eating. Get your crap together, you really screwed up a special night.
Terrible service. Spoke to manager about issues and didn't seem to care. Employees eating pizza while walking around dining area. Drinks not kept on refill. Never saw waitress. Woodlands location alot better.
The hostess was very badly. Her attitude and attention was pretty poor, and rude. She didn't respect the order to the people who were waiting for a table. Many people was upset with her. That's not good before you expected a nice attention.
We went for dinner with family yesterday. James was our server and was attentive and very friendly. We were the last customers on a Sunday night. We were told by James, that most other servers had already left. There were 4-5 staff members in all, huddled together outside the kitchen as we were leaving at closing time. We were busy chatting with James after dinner and unfortunately, left a purse behind. We called about it within 10 mins of leaving and were told that the hostess has kept it in lost and found. They were nice enough to let us come back to retrieve immediately after even though they were closed. Unfortunately, $50 in cash was stolen from the purse during that time. In all, it was 15-20 mins at the most. Thankfully there was nothing else of great value but it left a bad taste overall. Especially, since there was no one else but staff there. I am not sure if one should expect that cash will be stolen at the first opportunity but when you go to a restaurant, you expect the staff to do better by the customers. I would think twice before going back!
