I really like this place! I come on Thursdays for early Karaoke, from 5 til 9 pm! They should invest in some shade/blinds and banner with their name on it, Something to block the sun out, as it was shining directly on the KJ! They could use more fans outside, as well! It's getting close to being cooler outside, so maybe that's something to think about, come next summer? But a banner, or some kind of shade would help! I weaved that viney plant up, along the walk-way to the patio. I was bored, and it was sticking out everywhere! Looks better now! Food and service is great!

My husband and I recently visited for dinner. We had the la viva shrimp and the queso for appetizers. I got the Tio Chitos plate with 1 seafood enchilada and 1 Nick's classic enchilada. My husband had the Nick's classic enchiladas. I also had a watermelon margarita. Everything was delicious. Our server Alyssa was awesome. Very attentive, and our order was perfect. We have been here 3 times so far, and everything is always great.

I found this place by looking on Google maps. I'm big on eating good food. Picked this place for my family and I to enjoy time together and they did NOT disappoint! The food and drinks were good! My brother ordered us some margaritas and I must say, I haven't had one that good and strong in a while!😵‍💫😂 Our waiter was awesome and made sure we all were satisfied. All in all, everyone enjoyed themselves and left full! Will definitely be returning.👍🏾

Wow, service was warm and inviting. Food was really amazing, very vibrant and full of flavor. Chips and salsa (served warm) were good and refilled quickly as needed. Had the Chicken Chipotle Enchiladas and what a solid choice. Such a huge improvement from the previous restaurant that occupied this location. Will be back soon! 👍

Truly one of the best servers we’ve had! I had the chicken enchiladas with avocado cream and two margaritas, absolutely delicious!

My experience was exceptional, from the moment I was greeted at the door by Ana the manager I felt welcomed, Oscar was spectacular, best margaritas I’ve had, he recommended me Wednesdays special fajita, fajita was phenomenal. To finish my experience I had a flavorful tres leches that just put the icing on the cake loved it! I will definitely be back.

We enjoyed a feast of Mixed fajitas with all the trimmings for 10! The beef was exceptionally tender and flavorful. Everyone was very happy with the food. We were well taken care of by friendly faces.

I had a best servicer ever name Samuel. Gave the best service. We didn't have to ask for any condiments. Very prompt with refills. Cleared table to enjoy after drinks and dessert. Highly recommend him.

From the moment we walked in, everything about this restaurant felt warm and inviting. The staff greeted us with genuine smiles and made us feel like guests, not just customers. The food was absolutely outstanding. Every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor. You could tell the chef puts real passion into everything they do. My favorite plate was the shrimp fajitas, perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The drinks were also on point, especially the Top Shelf Margarita. The Manager Ana was attentive without being overbearing, and our server Angel was knowledgeable and made excellent recommendations. It’s rare to find a place where the food, service, and ambiance all come together so perfectly. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending it to everyone I know!

Samuel was great!!! It was my friends’ first time and they thoroughly enjoyed it. Delicious food and great experience! Happy hour Friday & Saturday is so cool too! I love having this in the neighborhood :)

First time here after driving past it for a year. Service was a bit slow at first but Sebastian took care of me. I ordered the white queso and ‘famous’ chicken enchiladas with the avocado sauce on the side. No complaints. At the time that I came the restaurant was fairly full and they still had a table readily available. I will definitely be back and I will be asking for Sebastian (if he’s working). Highly highly recommend if you live in the area. For alcohol I got the large sangria swirl marg with tajin rim and it didn’t disappoint but you gotta get the large tho.

My friend had recommended me to go out and try this place for some time . I decided to go out with some friends and the food was amazing here I had the Cabo combo and it was so good. Our waiter was so sweet and she came by often to check on us to see if we needed anything. I highly recommend that you go out and try this place the hostess I had was named jakaylaa very sweet girl.

Wow it is spectacular and delicious Mexican restaurant… our waiters was Sebastián a nice and kind person who always stay smiling and give to us an excellent Service… We recommend this lovely Reataurant LA VIVA like a AAA+ rest and Sebastian too.

My first time trying this place out, can officially confirm this will be my Friday night spot after work! The margaritas are amazing and don’t get me started their chicken quesadilla and beef fajitas for one are amazing. They have very tasty appetizers like their queso blanco and their homemade tortilla chips!! 10/10 would recommend

The restaurant is all over amazing, the best chips and queso i have ever had, the bartender Oscar is very good at making the best drinks and takes care of the bar very well. Jose and Leslie are the servers that i will be asking for when i go back they really know how to take care of you. Ana the manager is one of the best as well very friendly and makes sure that the food is coming out on time and manages the restaurant very well. I will be back soon.

Food was great but chicken was less grilled, more blonde and a bit salty. I had chicken fajitas for one with black beans and cilantro rice. The crema verde sauce and chips was very tasty. Ok. So I really wanted to like this place based on previous reviews. Heres my experience. Went for lunch. I was one of 7 guests, solo with 6 other guests between 4 tables Total. I will say the personnel was pleasant, but highly inexperienced. But super nice. Every single plate I used, and empty sugar packets was left until bill paid. Absolutely no pre-bussing along the way of the duration I was there. I was not offered more chips or salsa before entrée came despite empty salsa bowl and chip bowl. Not one touch base to see how food was before I was asked if I was ready for the bill. Rice was decent, but some spice along with the refried beans was overpowering. Refried beans were a bit burnt. Cheddar cheese served with beef fajitas was extra sharp. I prefer a mild cheddar cheese because mild cheddar taste does not overpower the fajitas. Beef fajitas were decent. Not pappasitos caliber, but good. A nice melted butter sauce like what they serve at pappasitos and gringos would have been spectacular. I'm not sure if they offer that. I never had the opportunity to ask, since no one ever checked back up on me. White queso, flavorful, but way to thick for queso. Music. This place is advertised as tex mex. However, the music was very rough, "urban" latin music. I did not enjoy the ambiance/ music whatsoever. Overall, decent. Maybe would come back, but the overall experience left much to be desired. I was hoping for much more from this place.

We dined in for the first time and the food was delicious, and our server was so sweet and did a great job! When we walked in the host was warm and welcoming, but when we asked to sit outside so our son could play in the small area, she did let me know it was closed for the time being, it’s fine. But after we sat down, MAYBE 5 minutes later another family walks in and is sat outside, not by the host. This woman seemed to be telling other workers what to do, so a manager I assume, she even asked if we’re ok right after sitting that table outside. On our way out the host apologized and was also confused as to why they sat outside, when the woman that sat them literally instructed her to sit no one out there. This really bothered us because the patio was the main thing we were looking forward to for our son. Hopefully this doesn’t happen to anyone else, it doesn’t feel nice.

I visited on Sunday for lunch at the recommendation of a friend. I arrived late and when I sat down I waited about 10 minutes and then waived down a server to get some water. 10 minutes later I waived down the server again to get silverware and never received a menu. Then we waived our server down for the third time to order food. We ordered queso and it was delicious, so we ordered a second one. The second one was sent to the table next to us and our waiter realized the error but never came back with another queso until we finally waived him down again to get that queso. The service was atrocious. We spend around 45 minutes in the restaurant before we received our food, and the restaurant was never more than a third full. It was annoying to not be able to receive any service in an empty restaurant without having to flag down our waiter. Then the food arrived and I ordered a half rack of smoked ribs that were awful. I also was supposed to receive tortillas with the meal which never came and at this point I decided it's not worth flagging down our waiter anymore. No one checked to see if our food was good or really checked on us at all without us having to seek a waiter out. I will say that my friend had enchiladas that were good. Overall, it was one of the worst dining experiences I have had in Houston. The wait staff was friendly when you engaged them but about as apathetic moving around the restaurant as I've ever seen, and my food (outside of the queso) was terrible.
