So this is my first time at Ruth’s Chris steakhouse and it did not disappoint! From the moment I entered, I was warmly welcomed by Amelia. When I sat down, my server was Khalid. Absolutely fantastic! He gave great suggestions and was very engaging and friendly.. I got the cowboy ribeye, which was 26 ounces! I didn’t eat all day so that’s the only reason I finished that thing. Most people are gonna take leftovers home. I’m very particular about my mistakes and the flavoring was masterful. I asked for a medium rare and it came out exactly medium rare. That part really shouldn’t be a problem at a steakhouse, but amazingly it can be. Not here! Lobster tail was cooked perfectly. Even the bread was soft and delicious. Khalid threw in a potatoes au gratin since it was my first time eating there. The manager was very friendly as well. Fantastic experience! I never do a Google review unless it’s five stars in this one gets it! Great job to all involved!

This establishment provided an exceptional dining experience. Our server, Gabby, exhibited outstanding courtesy and professionalism, a sentiment echoed by the entire staff. The management's warm greeting upon arrival further enhanced our celebratory anniversary dinner. The culinary offerings were superb; the stuffed chicken breast and spinach ravioli appetizer were particularly noteworthy, while my husband's steak was prepared to his exact specifications. Overall, we were extremely pleased and look forward to returning.

When you try a place and exceeds your expectations. From the people to the food. We met the chef. Friendly and went over how they made up some items. Our waiter was fantastic and helpful (thanks Rocky). The quality of the food was excellent.

Exceptional in every way. The steaks were done to perfection. My stuffed chicken was amazing. I will be dreaming about the Chris Chopped Salad. We had the Sweet Potatoes, Garlic Potatoes, Brussel Sprouts, and Lobster Mac N Cheese. Every one of them were delicious! We want thank Chef for a wonderful meal and for checking on us. Thank you, Rocky for excellent service! We will be back.

Excellent dining experience for our anniversary. Ayoola was our server and she took great care of us. Outstanding, friendly and professional service. Dining room is impressive with comfy atmosphere and big windows creating nice views of Westheimer. We appreciated the special occasion rose petals and Happy Anniversary card. All of the food is tasty including the shrimp cocktail, wedge salad, signature filet and the melt in your mouth mac & cheese side. They were kind enough to give us an anniversary celebration dessert. Much appreciated. Thanks again for our son Cash’s gift and a special dinner. Keep up the great work and see you next time!! Highly recommended.

I visited last night with another couple for dinner. It is located in the Galleria area and they offer valet parking for $5 which is better than msot valet options in Houston. I read on previous reviews that there is free parking toward the back or next door but with the weather in the 30's by the tme we left that wasnt an option for us. We had a reservation for 7:30 pm and we arrived @ 7:15 pm. We checked in and waited and waited, finally after 35 minutes we were seated. Now granted the restaurant was busy but if we arrived 35 minutes after our reservation time, I'm sure there would have been a problem for us but.... that was the only negative. We both placed orders for a variety of menu items. First they brought out bread with butter which was excellent and we ordered several more times. My wife and I both had the Steak salad, the 6 oz. Filet & Shrimp and she had creamed spinach and I garlic mashed potatoes and we both had the cheesecake for dessert. Our guest both had the Caesar salad, Salmon & shrimp, creamed spinach and cheesecake for dessert. The food was excellent for us and our guest. Stefan was our waiter and he did a very good job. We all left full and with to go bags. This was a special until 2/8 for $60 per person. If you are interested to go, please get reservations, I think it would be extremely difficult to walk in.

We had a wonderful dining experience at the Ruth’s Chris on Westheimer. The food was excellent—from the perfectly cooked steaks to the sides that came out hot, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. My husband and I selected Ruth’s Special, which offers a salad, entree, side, and dessert for an economical option. The atmosphere was upscale but still warm and inviting, making it a great choice for a special night out. We celebrated my son’s birthday and the staff made him feel honored. A big part of what made our evening stand out was our server, Stephon. He was attentive without being overbearing, knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely friendly. He made sure everything from drinks to dessert was taken care of smoothly. Valet parking was just $5.

I was looking forward to visiting this restaurant, as it's reputation proceeds it. However, I was less than impressed by the dated decor upon entering and the overall feel of the restaurant. The location is nice and parking easy. The food came out hot and was tasty, s/o to Omer for excellent service during our birthday celebration! He provided suggestions and followed up for feedback. I appreciated him and although we had a nice time, I'm not sure I will return, as I just did not find the "wow" factor at this steak house. Thanks for a tasty meal and DELICIOUS dessert, I strongly suggest the cheesecake! 😋

Had the pleasure of going to Ruth Chris for a friend's birthday. Got here around 830pm on a Friday night. Great place and very romantic vibes. The music selection that played amongst the restaurant was a soothing choice. The Playlist consisted of sade, usher, Tamia and some other older r&b artist. When arriving i seat at the bar , waiting on the additional parties to arrive, and ordered a dirty Martini, Titos based, and it was very dirty and great tasting . The bartender was very nice . After we were seated at the table . When seated the area was very clean and well put . We didnt sit in the middle of the resturant yet it was a semi private room with another party. Our table consisted of 5 people total . When seated a lady came and poured our waters and then a guy came and brought warm bread out for us as we waited on our waiter . While waiting,about 20 minutes our waiter came and our order was received and than placed . This was for cocktails and drinks only. While waiting 30 minutes our drinks finally came and then our our was taken for our food. The drinks tasted really good as the blackberry sidecar is the strongest on the menu. After taking our food order , 2 people ordered steak , I ordered stuff chicken, crab cake and creamed spinach, other 2 people ordered fish. .. our food took about 40 minutes to come out. The chicken was very delicious as this is one of the popular menu items . The crab cakes were very tasty and flavorful. Spinach tastes like a garden mixed in cream I didnt like it. The other guest advise their food was good. We finished our food around 10:20pm . We chatted for a bit as we had another destination to attend . But as we noticed time went by the waiter never came to check on us . We had to ask servers for the waiter so that we can order dessert but instead another waiter took our order. After dessert still no waiter so we had to ask around again so we can pay the bill . Finally the waiter came and provides us the bill and bags our food up ... oh and valet is $5 .. Other than that, Ruth Chris is a great place , just need better service when paying steakhouse prices.

Amazing food. Poor service. Wife and I went for her birthday and felt ignored. We don’t blame our server who was obviously stretched extremely thin and had no support from anyone else. We weren’t served our cocktails until after entrees had been served, and it took 40 minutes after our meal to get our desserts and to get boxes to pack up our food. We also saw another table receive a complimentary birthday dessert but my wife didn’t. We blame the manager who put our server in that position.

I went on my anniversary. I have been going to Ruth Chris for over 10 years. Haven’t been the last 2-3 years. Oh my have things changed. The lobster Mac is like soup now…manager told me it changed again. I know they use to use velvetta Mexican cheese for it. It had no flavor. I am a chef so I know how to fix it. So I kept it. The spinach was dry, lacked seasoning, and terrible. Never had it like that before. I’ll stick to Mastro’s and Vic & Anthony’s. I had to try and find my waitress a few times. But when we talked she was great. No shade at her. It was busy. I also had the crab cakes .. it has way more filler than it used to to have. a lobster tail, it was cooked perfect. Sweet Potato casserole will always be amazing. The manager took off the spinach. I just don’t like when high-end places change their recipes without notice. The steaks are the best flavored steaks out of the big 3.

To who this may concern I had my birthday dinner here on 2/7/2026 @ 6:15 pm I'm applaud by the service. I chose this place because out of all the Steakhouse in Houston this is my absolute favorite.. However last night the service we received was not satisfactory. I feel like the waiters were not attentive to the needs of the party of 11 of us. I asked twice for a refill to my Dr.Pepper never happen not one waiter. I hardly ate anything they packed my food and half of my salad gone I took two bites out of the I ordered the cream spinach didn't like it asked for brussel sprouts I ll post the picture. For the amount of gratuity we paid each ticket service was a epic fail I have never had a bad experience at Ruthy's Ruth's Chris but last night I did and I hate that for me. I was also told we will have a total of 5 payments at the table each check was separate Yeah I get it. Out of all the disappointments I never received that when I come here until last night. On top of all that I was almost charged for things I did have I had drinks I never had. Now the plating leftovers people didn't receive all their food or food placed in the wrong bags. I can understand off days and service was definitely off Please do better going forward I could've went to Pappadeaux for that service. I know there's no do overs when it comes to birthdays. I hope it betters service for the next group of people.. I was polite didn't ask for the management because I needed to remain level headed for my party.

We haven't been to Ruth Chris in over 10 years. Decided to try them for our anniversary, so we made reservations. Big mistake! Disappointed with the waiter, very slow for us but was more attentive to another table. We waited over 40 minutes to receive our food. The 16oz (medium) ribeye was tough to cut and eat. I had to send it back. The side dishes were bland with no flavor. Our daughter ordered the Salmon. The child asked for salt and pepper.... The waiter asked if I wanted something else and when I asked for another ribeye, she explained that the wait would be long and I still may not like it. She recommended another meat cut because it would be a shorter wait time. I decided not to order anything else and just eat leftovers at home. The manager walked around but never addressed us about the food. He brought the bill and said that he took off the food that was sent back back. No direct apologies. This was a special day that was reduced to eating leftovers. Could have stayed home.
