Opinions de The Honey Hole Houston
Beautiful restaurant with amazing food! I had the catfish and grits and it was okay. The sauce on it wasn’t my favorite but it was not bad and the grits and catfish were perfect. But The Hivewich is amazing and the fries are soooo good. Daria Amare me a Well Margarita and it was delicious I came back two days in a row considering this. Overall I’d say it’s a must if you’re in Houston! Please know they get busy though. I went as soon as they opened at 9 am to avoid crowds by 11 am there was a line. I’d also say they’re a lil pricey but worth it
Sisi was over-the-top incredible with her customer service — welcoming, attentive, and genuinely made us feel taken care of from the moment we walked in. You can tell she truly loves what she does, and it shows in every detail. The energy, the hospitality, and the overall experience were top-tier. This is the kind of place that makes you want to come back again and again, not just for the food, but for the people. If you haven’t been yet, run — don’t walk. The Honey Hole is a gem! 💛🍯 Food: Peach Bellini- drink Lobster and Grits
Thoroughly enjoyed my time at The Honey Hole especially with our server Paris. I read reviews saying that she was the best but was pleasantly surprised when we got her as our server for the table. Her energy is great and she had very tasty recommendations. The food itself is well seasoned and balanced, nothing too salty or too sweet. The Cajun breakfast bowl was delicious and the sauce used was to die for! Highly recommend attending on Saturday RnBee brunch as the music is not too loud and the food/vibe is good!
Honestly this goes up to probably one of the best brunch spots I’ve been to. First of all though , you MUST make a reservation. I saw a couple of walk ins but they prioritize reservations so it’s important you make them. The servers were sweet the atmosphere was nice. We got a loaded carafe which was on the higher priced side BUT strong and worth it for a party of 3. The food was to die for , you might look at the price and think?? This much with no sides included but let me tell you the portion size and flavor is worth it. I swear it’s so fresh they must have just killed the chicken and everything back there. I got the French toast which was bomb but I’m definitely getting their grits or pasta next time. I will be coming back soon!
Sweet Jesus this was good. Pancakes had just the right amount of sweetness….and they were moist. I asked for a glass of milk to help wash the pancakes down, but our waiter must of forgot because he never brought it. The chicken was tender and delicious. The food was just all around good. The price is a little on the higher side, but you’re not coming here for the food to taste like IHOP. Spend that little extra money and get some of this good food and some nice ambiance!
I had birthday brunch with 5 of my dear friends at The Honey Hole. The food was delicious & our waiter was amazing. I highly recommend It & We’ll definitely return. The only thing I didn’t like was after leaving my clothes smell like I was in the kitchen. My husband also mentioned the same thing. But overall I pleased with the services.
My friends & I went to for their Saturday R&B brunch had had a lovely time with our server Paris! She’s so fun and knew the menu like the back of her hand, and her vibe made the whole meal extra special! The Cajun Breakfast bowl with Turkey sausage had a divine gravy that pulled it all together and was absolutely delicious. The music was a bop, if a little bit too loud, but not so loud that my friends and I couldn’t hear each other chat.
While in Houston we visited The Honey Hole, a great choice, and I would for sure recommend making a reservation. We went late morning about 1100am, and when we arrived (w/ reservation) were seated promptly. A couple of their “shareable plates” are only available Tuesday-Friday (we went Sunday) which was a bummer but our choices certainly made us feel like we weren’t missing out. I couldn’t decide on sweet or savory so we made the executive decision to do both, lol. I ordered the Peach cobbler pancakes I think it’s a stack of 3-4, my BF and I shared them. W/ the peach sauce we didn’t need any additional syrups. They were fluffy and golden brown with the ridges being that perfect crisp that you want in a pancake. For my main entree I got the Cajun bowl which features potatoes covered with a crawfish/pepper/onion etoufee and an egg your way on top. The potatoes were firm and crisp on the outside with a soft center. The etoufee had a little kick which was nice and some ground sausage in it. I asked for my egg scrambled but you can have it any way you like. My BF’s order, the Lobster Etoufee is under the dinner menu but was available so he went with that. The lobster was cooked nicely, tender with a nice flavor as were the shrimp (which was an add-on w/ an additional charge.) I believe the etoufee in his dish was the same as mine and tasted quite nice over the rice. All in all, 10/10. The food was excellent, the price I feel was definitely worth it and our server (wish I could remember his name) was very attentive. He did great. Whenever we’re back in H-Town we’ll definitely visit again.
We had a great experience at Honey Hole! Our server, Cincere, was amazing. He’s super attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. The only downside was that it was a bit warm inside (check the ac) but the excellent service more than made up for it. Definitely recommend asking for Cincere when you visit! I most certainly will each & every time!!!

This is such a nice brunch spot. I especially loved that we had a semi private room, like a hideout, for my friends birthday. The chicken pasta was a large portion and great as leftovers. I had the chicken and funnel cake. It was the perfect blend of sweet and salty. Would definitely recommend to give this place a try.
First things first, the food was good. We all got something different and it was all delicious. So if all you are about is good food then you should try it. The service was terrible, and it's sad because this place has so much potential, our waitress didn't seem interested in being a waitress. Two of the drinks came out pretty timely, a little while later my drink came and about halfway through the meal my husband's drink came (a sprite) and even though we asked for the funnel cake fries to come out first she brought them last. It was frustrating because the restaurant wasn't even busy. It was pricey but what isn't these days. What bothers me the most about our time here is that I never got a check, I know that's mostly my fault because I just tapped my card and moved on but now that I'm writing this review I'm thinking about that $200 total and I'm wondering how much our waitress tipped herself and did she tip herself because she knew she did a terrible job.
Had the wings and Mac! Delicious! Got a side of cabbage 100/10 recommend. The cabbage is a bit soupy and I didn’t realize I’d love that! If Kay is your server you’ll have a great time! I’d come back for sure.
First time here. I had wings and biscuits. Chicken wings were well seasoned, but a little small. Biscuits were ok but I like them more flaky. The yam side dish was good. Service was a little slow. The main downside for me is the music is TOO LOUD. I was at a table of 5 and we had to shout to have conversation. Good music but PLEASE lower the volume.
I had a pretty good time here with my friend. I’d like to come back and try some other menu items. We split the funnel cake fries, I had the smoked salmon toast and my friend had the cajun scramble bowl (I forget the name of it). Everything tasted good, and came out fairly quickly. There seemed to be only one or two servers on the floor. I also wish the menu had more detailed descriptions of the menu options, because it was hard to pick, but once again everything was delicious.
We stopped by The Honey Hole Bistro & Brunch Bar in Houston! The wait was about an hour and 45 minutes, but honestly, the vibe made up for the long wait— the place is gorgeous and so aesthetically pleasing. Service was good. Our waitress brought water right away, though she didn’t offer other drink options and only refilled our glasses when we asked. The DJ was amazing! Now, the food — so good! The portions were generous, the catfish and fried chicken wings were seasoned to perfection, the pork chops were tender and juicy, and those fried potatoes were crispy and flavorful. The breakfast tacos were okay. Overall, we really enjoyed it — great food, good service, and a clean, comfy atmosphere.
I stopped by The Honey Hole Bistro & Brunch Bar in Houston and was really impressed! The place was spotless, the ambience was warm and inviting, and the fish tank added a nice, relaxing touch to the overall vibe. The service was excellent—attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was just right. We started off with complimentary biscuits that were soft, sweet, and fresh out of the oven—such a nice touch! The grits came in a generous portion and were topped with a perfectly seasoned catfish that was packed with flavor. The crab gravy was refreshing and added a unique twist. The pork chops were seasoned like something out of a master chef’s kitchen—tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The fried potatoes were absolutely divine—crispy and well-seasoned. I did ask for my cheese to be cooked into my eggs rather than placed on top, but it came out the other way. Still good, but a bit heavy on the egg whites for my liking. The drinks were cool, refreshing, and a great complement to the meal. Overall, I really enjoyed my visit. Great service, delicious food, and a clean, comfortable setting. I’ll definitely be back! Rating: 8/10 – Highly recommend for brunch lovers looking for good vibes and great flavors.
The Honey Hole is a nice spot to gather for brunch. The atmosphere is nice. When you enter it's a bit confusing on what to do since there are no signs saying wait to be seated or anything. In our instance, the hostess was not there so we were left looking around a bit trying to figure it out until someone came to seat us. My suggestion would be to have a sign or something either on the hostess desk or a stand up sign that says please wait here to be seated. The decor is cute throughout the restaurant; however, they should go through and steam clean the chairs more regularly. The chairs are a nice fit for the restaurants style but unfortunately it's cloth which gets stained and I heard two customers ask for a cleaner chair when being seated😕 . The food selection is good, a smidgen on the salty side though. The service by our waiter was good but the service was slow. It would be great if the restaurant would correct the menu to reflect the correct description for the menu items (the waiter had to explain it) and hopefully get the Latte machine fixed as those are small nuances that affect the customer experience. Overall it is worth trying out.

It was OKAY, I probably will not be back. The mimosas were the best thing I had. Great flavor and very strong. I had the chicken and funnel cake entree and it was disappointing. The chicken had ZERO flavor and the funnel cake was alright. The breakfast tacos were pretty good. The atmosphere is very pretty and it wasn’t too loud with the music. I would say 4/10
Atmosphere, vibes. Sever was Noah-- sweet personality but severely lacking in service. Brought our napkins after we ate, very lengthy periods without checking on us. I ordered the honey crunch...it didn't give elevated and upscale. Was actually kinda weird. $10 mac n cheese wasn't maccing...not for $10. Menu is a little all over the place honestly. Mimosas carafe was $36 for mimosas that didn't even attempt to bring a feeling of tipsy. I paid $70 for breakfast I didn't enjoy, mediocre service and lackluster mimosas. Would I go back? If invited. Not as a first, second or even third choice. To experience once or not at all is plenty.
Ok spot for some brunch. The place is quite big and is nicely decorated. However, the menu is surprisingly limited and not as many egg focussed items as one would expect. We tried the breakfast taco. It was quite small and it was dry. The cheese just seemed to be shredded on top and wasn't even melted and no sauce. We also got the stuffed French toast. This was decent but again very pricey. The service is a bit slow and not overly attentive.
The food was okay I order the Tabasco honey lemon pepper wings. It came with Mac and cheese. What threw me off was the Mac had either bell peppers in it. The crunch threw me off. The chicken was small so they gave me 4. Good flavor but the honey lemon pepper was on the side which when I tasted it I didn't add it the chicken it was to sweet. I had a corn bread muffin that was dry and burnt. I did have a cocktail called the Texas Heat. It was good until I went to the restroom and specifically asked the hosted (who was on her phone the entire time) to watch our drinks then only to return and the table was cleared. My drink was replaced so no issue there. Service was a little delayed our server it took us about 15-20 min just to order our drinks. Overall I give it. About a 4.5 for my experience there.
I chose The Honeyhole to celebrate my 30th birthday after seeing so many great reviews, and I was genuinely excited because I’m not usually a brunch person. I had a group of 10–12 guests, which I know is a larger party, but I tried my best to plan ahead. The website didn’t allow reservations for that size, and I spent about 7–10 days calling almost daily with no answer. So I ended up reserving two tables of six and included a note explaining that it was for a special celebration. On the day of, things became a bit chaotic. They wouldn’t seat us until half the party arrived, so a few of us had to wait at the entrance. When they finally took us back, the table was only set up for nine people. I asked to speak with the manager, and to his credit, he did try to accommodate us by arranging seating for around ten near the bar. Our server, Anari, was wonderful—enthusiastic, friendly, and great with recommendations. The overall vibe and music were also really enjoyable. However, I was surprised to learn that for large parties, they apparently require a deposit. This information isn’t mentioned anywhere on the website, and since no one answered the phone for days, there was truly no way for me to know. Clear communication would have made a huge difference here and would’ve prevented a lot of unnecessary stress while planning a special occasion. Food-wise, the options were decent, though not very vegetarian or gluten-free friendly unless you customized items. The coffee was good. Overall, while I liked the ambiance and appreciated the service, I wouldn’t recommend this spot for hosting special events or large groups. For a smaller, casual brunch, though, it’s a nice place with a fun atmosphere.

Walking in the host didn’t greet us. I just told her how many people and she sat us. It took about 10 minutes for our waitress Jackie to come to the table but we didn’t fuss because we were honestly talking and preoccupied. When she finally came we got the menu, and waited an additional 15 min roughly for water. Once she brought the water we were ready to order. So we put in our order our waitress seemed in a hurry but I guess it makes sense because when we looked over she was also the bartender. So finally we got our food, it came out pretty fast. I ordered the Cajun breakfast tacos along with the funnel fries, they were good. I tried my friends cat fish and my other friends Salmon taco and the were both excellent. Overall the vibe was okay. We did peep the cook vaping but the food was reallly good.

Currently disappointed, have been waiting for food and silverware, drinks for about two hours. Was seated at 1pm, food came around 3pm, French toast is delicious, avocado toast was good, lemon pepper wings was cooked to perfection, bacon was cold and disgusting, don’t recommend ordering. Old fashion is great. Our server tried her best, but the food wait, drinks and silverware is disappointing. The mimosas I Do NOT recommend
