Food was some of the best Italian I have had in a long time. Would love to come back if I’m in the area for work again. Spicy Rigatoni was amazing along with the White truffle garlic bread. Finish off the dinner with the tiramisu was the best I ever had.
I love coming to North Italia, the experience is always amazing. This last visit my sister and I had the pleasure of Vinny serving us and he was super sweet! Very attentive and made the environment even better. Running it back again next week.
had such a great meal at North Italia! The branzino was the perfect portion — super light, fresh, and beautifully cooked. And the salted caramel budino was absolutely to die for. Everything was delicious from start to finish!
Cool, vibrant bar and restaurant area. Service was great. Pizza isn't my favorite, but good quality stuff.
BEST North Italia location. Food always tastes better than other locations - deeper flavor, more sauce, hotter. Service is also awesome. Everyone’s was working super hard during a busy shift. Bar tenders were slingin drinks while taking great care of us. The servers who ran our food were super helpful and noticed we needed help without asking. Managers are all over the place backing up the bar and servers. The host even put in a food order for me. Other locations need to study this one and the GM Jose needs a raise.
We found this little gem on our way to The George Theater and wow! Yo start...no reservation no problem. The North Pole Sleigh Ride drink was top notch! Parking by valet was easy and fast, not bad for $10. Hostesses were friendly and charming. Not judgemental and condescending which was refreshing. You can dress to the nines or go in nice casual clothes. Loud but expected indoors. Waitress was extremely kind and attentive. Some of the best bread and EVOO I've ever had the pleasure of eating and the salmon was cooked perfectly. The house specialty Bolognese was to die for with perfectly sauced and seasoned traditional meat sauce and fresh pappardelle. I'm not sure what EVOO this place uses but it's beyond words. Also, I'd love to play in the garden where this "wild oregano" grows! Looking forward to taking family back very soon.
Amazing restaurant, awesome atmosphere and remarkable service. Aida was our waitress and she made our experience sensational, we let her know it was our anniversary and she went above and beyond to make it romantic and special. Very knowledgeable, very kind and extremely funny. Thank you Aida and North Italia for providing such a wonderful experience.
Aida was our server, she provided the best customer service, she explained the menu very well, provided some suggestions that were delicious. Arranged a romantic setting that was very cute for me and my partners anniversary. Dessert was on the house for our anniversary, such a nice touch to our romantic evening. Drinks were amazing. Thank you North Italia. Shout out to our server Aida. Great dining experience! We will be back!! 🤩
WOW!!!!!! That's all I can say! Our server was Tiffany and man does she know her stuff! I'm so indecisive and she guided me thru the menu with so much patience. We had the garlic truffle bread, chicken parm, braised short rib. The ribs were definitely the star of the show. My partner also said the chicken parm was the best they've ever had. And please dont get me started on desserts. It was so hard to choose. We got two. Both were outstanding. Even the espresso was of such amazing quality. 10/10 I will be back so soon to try everything else.
I love coming to North Italia because it's the best food on earth even though the food taste yummy and also I chose the place because it's my favorite to eat and also they make a really good delicious foods there so I really recognize this place people thank you for the best and how much you have served at this restaurant💗💌🫶🏻😋💜 can't wait to come back soon in the universe future
This is a great restaurant in the Post Oak neighborhood! We had a great dinner here the other night. Maurice was a wonderful and attentive server. Don’t miss the garlic bread with a side of vodka sauce! The calamari was a hit. The Bolognese was so flavorful. Loved the prosciutto pizza, the fig really made it pop. Cant wait to go back!
We visited North Italia in the evening and were absolutely delighted! 🌟 The atmosphere is incredibly cozy — dim lighting and stylish interior make it perfect for a romantic evening. The food was outstanding! The calamari were the best I’ve ever had. Delicious pasta, fresh salad, and a heavenly panna cotta for dessert. The service was top-notch — attentive and friendly without being intrusive. Another big plus: the restaurant is open until 10 PM on Sundays, while many other places close at 9. Thank you for such a wonderful and flavorful evening. We’ll definitely be back! ❤️🇮🇹
The pesto pasta was absolutely delicious rich and perfectly balanced with the fresh basil and garlic. It was a comforting dish, and you could taste the quality of the ingredients. The drinks were also top-notch, expertly crafted by the bartenders, who added a personal touch to every interaction. Whether it was a classic cocktail or a unique twist on a favorite, they really knew their stuff. To finish off the meal, the tiramisu and expresso martini was a dream! The atmosphere was incredibly welcoming, with plenty of seating options. I chose a spot by the door, and it was the ideal place to enjoy the vibe. Overall, it was a great experience, and I can't wait to return for another round of great food and drinks!
My family and I had a wonderful dining experience here. The here is absolutely amazing. It tastes like authentic Italian food. My sister was able to get a table for 6 with no wait. Our server was super nice and attentive . My husband and I shared a pizza and we both loved. My sister got the eggplant pasta and she said it was delicious. My in laws got the meatballs and shrimp and they also keep raving about how good their food was. There is a huge free parking garage next to the restaurant.
If you're in search of an authentic Italian dining experience that will leave your taste buds singing, this restaurant is a must-visit. From the moment you step in, you're welcomed with an inviting ambiance and exceptional service that sets the tone for a memorable meal. The star of the evening was undoubtedly the truffle garlic bread. Each bite was a heavenly blend of earthy truffle and rich, buttery garlic—a true masterpiece that's impossible to stop eating. But the magic didn’t stop there. Every dish we tried brought something unique to the table, showcasing a beautiful harmony of fresh ingredients and bold flavors. It was a true culinary journey, with each course feeling like a celebration of Italian cuisine. Yes, it’s on the pricier side, but the quality of the food and the craftsmanship behind every plate make it well worth the splurge. If you’re looking for an elevated dining experience that combines authenticity with innovation, this restaurant delivers on every level.

The food was delicious, and tasted so fresh! I would 1000% recommend the garlic truffle bread. The chicken parm was also fantastic and wasn't soggy at all (like some places are). Would come back!

One of the most accommodating Italian restaurants, home made pasta, great "pig" pizza and the nicest waitresses- loud but a happening place- dogs allowed outside

We had a pretty good dinner here. We ordered lasagna and a salmon dish, both of which were delicious. I’d say the salmon dish was better than the lasagna, which was good but not stellar. The tiramisu for dessert was excellent. The only going we didn’t enjoy was the incredibly loud music and all the TV screens. I’ll never understand why restauran insist in making the patrons uncomfortable.
Yum. The homemade pastas are delicious. We started w the truffle butter garlic bread w vodka sauce and arancini. Yes, ask for the sauce. We ordered the hot honey pizza, chicken parmesan, and the bolagnese. We enjoyed all of the dishes. We.tried three different cocktails and the strawberry limoncello. Our server was very patient, informative, and gracious! He made the Bday celebration a success.
We came here for my sister’s birthday and it was a surprise dinner and the staff were super helpful with everything! The establishment was very clean and I loved that it’s a dim lit restaurant. I got the bolognese, my friend got the spicy rigatoni vodka, and we shared the hot honey and smoked prosciutto pizza and everything was spectacular. The one thing that I wished was a little better was the service, although the other staff members were very helpful with everything else, I felt as though our server was a little impatient and annoyed with our party (we had a party of 10). Although our experience with our waitress wasn’t the best, I’m hoping to have a better experience next time but we’ll definitely be back! :)
My boyfriend took me out for dinner to get me out of the house since I've been sick. It wasn't very crowded the food was delicious. We had a great time would definitely come back again.

Early evening dinner for 2. Huge bowl of pasta and a pizza proved too much for both of us. Perhaps we should have skipped the grilled bread starter!
It’s an open area restaurant with a bar; therefore, it’s a little noisy. The food was great and affordable. They have valet parking.
Restaurant has a very nice ambiance, however the portion to price ratio is not good. Italian restaurant in the area like Piatto give 2 chicken breast for less money with a great ambience as well. Service started good but then we were left for 30mins to an hour without being asked if we wanted deserts and/or the check. It was not busy to where there would be a reason for this long wait to get the check.
really wanted to like North Italia, but our visit left us pretty disappointed. From the start, the service was noticeably slow. Any time we needed something — whether it was water refills, utensils, or just checking in on our table — we always had to wait and try to get someone’s attention. It felt like the servers were stretched too thin or simply not attentive, which made the whole dining experience frustrating. As for the food, it was hit or miss. Some dishes came out overly salty, which took away from the flavors rather than enhancing them. I ordered the pork milanese, and while the presentation was fine, the taste and texture weren’t. The pork was dry and lacked tenderness, making it feel more like a chore to eat than something enjoyable. For a restaurant that markets itself as refined Italian dining, I expected a lot more balance and care in the preparation. The atmosphere itself is nice, and the menu looks appealing on paper, but the execution just didn’t live up to it. Between the long waits for basic service, uneven flavors, and a dish that fell flat, it wasn’t the kind of experience that makes me want to come back. With so many other great Italian spots around, North Italia has some catching up to do if they want to stand out for the right reasons.
“For a restaurant that’s part of a world-famous chain, I expected much more authenticity in the flavors. Unfortunately, it missed the mark. The dishes were presented well and the service was polite, but the taste didn’t reflect true Italian cuisine at all. The sauces lacked depth, the pasta felt mass-produced, and the seasoning seemed tailored for a generic international palate rather than honoring Italy’s culinary tradition. The prices are definitely on the high side for what you get, and as someone with over 10 years of experience working with 100% Italian chefs, I can confidently say this is far from the real thing. It’s fine if you’re looking for a mainstream dining experience, but if you want genuine Italian food, this isn’t the place.”
I believe I enjoy the atmosphere of North Italia more so than the food itself.. It's not terrible, nor is it exceptional, just average....
⭐️⭐️⭐️ (3/5) I’m a pretty tough pizza customer — I grew up on the East Coast where real pizza is just a fact — so my standards were already high going in. This was a takeout order, not dine-in. My husband and I had a long week and decided to order in instead of going out for a date night. We ordered two pizzas, and while the flavor was good, there were a few things that left us underwhelmed. For the price point — $20+ per pizza — the pies were very light and not very filling. If you’re used to heartier portions and want to walk away satisfied, this probably isn’t the best fit at this price. Another challenge was the pickup process. When calling to place the order, there’s a clear system. But when we arrived, there was no designated pickup area, so my husband had to go inside and try to find where the order was. That felt awkward and could be smoother. Overall, the pizzas taste decent, and the flavor is solid. But the portion size relative to price and the pickup logistics made this less of a five-star experience for us. With a few adjustments, it could be much better. Would I go again? Maybe — but for this price point, I’d hope for something more substantial.
This was the worst dinner of all North Italia locations we've eaten at. Food is extremely greasy. Everything just swam in grease. My friend and I both had upset stomachs after dining here.

Take out order. For a $24 lasagna, this is absolutely disappointing. Presenting itself as slop. Didn’t even fill half the bowl. Stouffers frozen lasagna is better than this.
I was a loyal customer for north Italia restaurant many years. Everything was perfect and it’s my only to go Italian restaurant. The recent take out experience was really bad, the ink octopus pasta $25 was way overly cooked, can’t eat at all. I called the restaurant (post oak Houston location) waited for 20 mins on the phone. I know you guys have 4.3k reviews already, probably don’t really care about sales anymore. But, I just wanted to get the headquarters”s attention, you will lose many customers if your food quality are changed.

North Italia: Houston's Consistently Delicious Italian Escape
You know, there are Italian spots, and then there’s North Italia in Houston. It’s one of those places that just consistently delivers, and after hearing from a few friends, it’s clear why I keep finding myself back there.First off, if you appreciate a good outdoor setup, their patio is a real winner. It’s a comfortable space, and for anyone with a family, it’s a spot where the kids are genuinely welcome. It makes for a relaxed vibe, whether you’re on a date or out with the whole crew. The serv...
