Members of my family from Toronto and us from Arkansas visited this restaurant today. We had lunch. We ordered the platter for 4 (a tray of Qabili Palaw with three lamb shanks and kababs; and two orders of chicken kababs. The food was out of this world! We loved the generous serving of rice, shanks, and the kababs. The chef(s) had done magic of some sort. The staff were extremely friendly, and welcoming too. We will definitely dine here again whenever we are back in Houston. Highly recommend this place if you are into food from Afghanistan!

We have visited many Afghan restaurants from Dallas to here, but none of them matched the quality and incredible flavor of this place. The food was absolutely delicious, rich in authentic Afghan taste, and perfectly prepared. You can truly feel the tradition and care in every dish. This restaurant stands out as one of the best Afghan dining experiences we’ve ever had. Highly recommended.

Their qabeli is incredibly delicious. They also offer free desserts and tea, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. I highly recommend their qabeli to anyone who may like to try this afghan dish. The afghan store next to the restaurant is also awesome. I liked both the restaurant and the store.

Our first time at this Afghan restaurant. We tried the delicious chicken and lamb BBQ, Beef karahi and Afghani pulao. Everything tasted so good. Even the complimentary desert was delicious. Huma was our seever who was pleasant and helpful in suggesting what to order. We highly recommend this restaurant.

We heard about this Afghan restaurant from an Uber driver, and we’re so glad we decided to try it! When we arrived, the place was full, but one of the servers a kind young man whose name we unfortunately forgot quickly made a table available for us. He was so friendly and made us feel like we already knew each other. He recommended the Kabuli rice and Tikka kebab, and both dishes were absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and authentic. We enjoyed our meal so much that we even took some food home with us. We’ll definitely come back here on our next trip to Houston! Highly recommended for anyone who loves Afghan cuisine

A genuine authentic Afghan restaurant. Enjoyed everything ordered. The Chapli Kabab was one of the best in the nation. It was perfect with the tandoor cooked naan. The Qabuli Palau was filled with raisin and carrots. Their portions are huge. The grilled items are cooked to perfection. Seems like it’s family owned and operated so the service is good. Will definitely visit again.

simple, unassuming place . Delicious lamb kebab and complementary saffron tea and kheerni dessert! The people running it were super sweet. I’ll be back to try all the tantalizing other dishes on the menu!

This is a cute family run restaurant and you can feel the warmth in their hospitality. Their food is so delicious and portions are generous. We ordered Mantu, Chapli Kebabs, Qabuli Palau and a side order of Goat Karahi. The naan bread was freshly made it just melts in your mouth. We felt like we were eating a hearty home cooked meal and will definitely go back.

I had a fantastic meal at TOLO Kabab House, enjoying their delicious chicken Kabab and Chapli Kabab. The complimentary soup and salad were a delightful addition. The service was exceptional, and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend TOLO Kabab House for authentic and flavorful Afghan cuisine.

It's a very unfortunate to see the meat not even chewable and I am sure a shortcut has been used instead of proper cooking. I have to throw out the food so my family do not get sick. It is a shame quality is much important than seeing fast.

During the Ramadan we went to get some food for Eftar but unfortunately it was a bad quality food and beside of that we found some beetle inside the burger

First time in this restaurant, do not recommend. The lack of hygiene is crazy! Found a piece of long HAIR inside my food. After seeing that it made me lose my appetite.

I have been purchasing food from this location for a while and this is not the first time that I find hair in my food I bought a burger for my kid recently and she sent me this picture and just wanted to share this with others that in their kitchen they don’t observe cleanliness at all.

We visited on December 24 for dinner. We were a group of five people and ordered Chicken Karahi and tMutton Karahi. Unfortunately, our experience was quite disappointing. The taste was bad, and it didn’t even look like authentic karahi. It seemed like the food was cooked beforehand and then just placed into a small karahi for serving instead of being freshly prepared. The meat lacked flavor and overall the dishes were bland. About an hour after eating, I vomited, which really raised concerns about food quality and hygiene. Additionally, the restroom was dirty, slippery, and out of toilet paper, which was very unpleasant. Cleanliness should be a priority in any restaurant, especially where food is served. I don’t know about other days — maybe others had different experiences and may disagree — but this was mine. Based on our visit, I do not recommend this place and will not be visiting again.

I believe this restaurant has serious hygiene and food safety issues. I have visited two to three times, and on every occasion, I regretted the experience. The lack of cleanliness was evident, and the staff showed little concern for proper hygiene standards. Each visit resulted in me feeling unwell afterward. Due to these repeated experiences, I will not be returning and cannot recommend this restaurant to others.

Everything else is fine but the server has really nasty attitude towards customers. She was literally unaware of how to treat customers. Only one thing that I won’t recommend this restaurant is the server. They better talk to her to fix her attitude or fire her no matter what.

This was my first — and definitely my last — time coming here. The service was awful from the start. The lady at the register was extremely rude and dismissive. I had a few questions since it was my first visit, and she acted like I was bothering her, constantly glancing behind me even though no one else was in line. When I asked if I had ordered correctly, she actually touched my food with her bare hands while checking it — completely unsanitary. She looked annoyed that I even asked, submitted my order without confirming it, rolled her eyes when I asked for the price, and told me, “You pay later.” I felt pressured, rushed, and disrespected. I went ahead and tried the food anyway, hoping it might at least be good — it wasn’t. The “kebab” on the menu turned out to be chunks of overcooked, dry beef wrapped in naan with some sauce. The meat was tough, chewy, and even had a weird crunch when I bit into it. It looked fine at first, but the flavor was awful. Overall, the experience was disgusting from start to finish — rude service, poor hygiene, and terrible food. If I could give negative stars, I absolutely would.
